The 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show will see a lot of premieres: the new Audi A5 Sportback and A8, the brand new Opel Astra, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabrio, the Bmw X1 and 5-Series GT. But what about Volkswagen? According to our sources, the German manufacturer will come with 4 new vehicles at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. One of them will be the Golf R, a new vehicle based on the well-known hatchback, powered by a 2.0 TFSI engine delivering 265 hp. The Golf R will also feature a brand new body kit, with a centrally-mounted double exhaust and a sporty interior featuring Recaro sport buckets and revised instruments.
Another premiere will be the Golf Variant, a car for the ordinary man and his family. The 3rd premiere will represent the sporty version of the Polo. It appears that Vw is preparing a "mini Scirocco" powered by the 1.4 TSI engine capable to develop 180 hp.
The 4th premiere will be the production version of the Robust, Volkswagen's first pick-up! Unfortunately we were not able to find out if we will see a production version of the Blue Sports Concept, showed at this year's Detroit Auto Show or if the Scirocco R will come together with the Golf R. But, as soon as we will find something we will let you know!
