Vw working on a eco-friendly Golf GTI Bluemotion

Clearly, the chief concern of VW was on CO2 reduction and fuel economy since there were more Bluemotion models on the showroom than anything else. There is information confirming that the eco-friendly technologies are compatible with VW sports cars as well, although they most probably will come with the Bluemotion badge. The German company is conducting a feasibility study at present and if all goes according to plan it should be available for sale in the later part of 2011. There is a possibility, though, due to its cross brand sharing that it will also end up as a SEAT. There is a very high probability that the model will reach production in order for VW to show that they can combine fun, performance and low fuel consumption in one single car. Meanwhile, a Scirocco Bluseport version will open the way for it and the Golf GTL. Moreover, VW has also been reported to be working on hotter R models of both. VW has already showcased the Scirocco R20T and a substitute for the Golf R32 is sure but it will come with a smaller engine instead of the V6. No word has been released if it will keep its Four-Wheel-Drive capability.
