West Coast Customs to build life-sized replicas of Mario and Luigi’s karts

Mario Kart

To mark the Mario Kart 7’s release, West Coast Customs was tasked by Nintendo to make life-sized replicas of Mario and Luigi’s actual karts, which are on display at the LA Auto Show. They can’t be driven of course but viewers can’t help but feel nostalgic. Aside from Mario’s red kart, Luigi’s Bumblebee car is also on display. West Coast made sure that the two cars are exact game replicas but they have been scaled to adult human size. According to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, these cars are the only ones at the show that are designed to be used in the air and water. Nintendo will be giving away these two karts to two very lucky customers of Gamestop.
