Wiesmann, the Dülmen-based sports car manufacturer, will be releasing a lineup of special ‘20th Anniversary Editions’ models throughout 2009 as a way of celebrating its 20 years in the industry.

One of these editions will be the MF4-S GT with details not yet released. However, a convertible version will also be released which is listed at $166,000 for Europe (128,900 Euros). Another model, a drop top version designated as the MF4 Roadster will also be coming out at the Geneva Motor Show next month. It will be patterned on the mid-level MF4 and will come with the BMW-derived 4.0-liter V8 powerplant as the GT. Maximum power yield is at 367hp (270kW). The Roadster will come with a special version called the MF4-S Roadster featuring a more powerful 4.8-liter V8 that generates 420hp (309kW). The MF3 Roadster will continue to be in production also. All of these models will be restricted to Europe, however, but intentions of increasing the production to 350 cars yearly (in contrast to 250 the preceding year) there is a possibility that they will filter down to other markets outside of Europe.
