Days before the talks between Magna and the workers' unions in Europe are expected to start, protests have been brought by Spanish workers to the streets of Zaragoza. They are opposing the sale of Opel and Vauxhall to Magna and the approximately 10,000 jobs across Europe that will be cut. The 1,700 people employed at the Opel plant in Figueruelas, Zaragoza, are believed to be under particular threat. Marcelino Iglesias, the president of the Aragon region of Spain , said his government would not accept any decision to close the plant and relocate production.
