In 2013, Mercedes-Benz started offering a novel way to make the vaunted Mercedes-Benz star on the grille more noticeable in the dark – by illumination. This simple but innovative illuminated Mercedes-Benz star managed to attain huge success, with increasingly more customers availing of this option from Mercedes’ original-parts program. Now, this program is offering another way to spice up a Mercedes vehicle – the new LED Projector AMG Emblem feature.
Mercedes is making the LED Projector AMG Emblem available to almost every model in its lineup. This means that whether a customer drives an A-Class or is hitting the road in a GLS, he or she could have this customization feature be installed on his or her ride. However, the LED Projector AMG Emblem could only be fitted on Mercedes model with the door lighting packages that come with factory-installed entrance light mounted at the bottom of the front doors. Once installed, the LED Projector AMG Emblem would replace the factory-installed entrance lights.
Once the driver or front passengers open their respective doors, the AMG emblem – an apple tree on the river that symbolizes the company’s location in Affalterbach, Germany – would be projected into the entrance area in a three-dimensional manner through the entrance lighting mechanism located at the bottom of the front door. This mechanism makes one’s entry into a Mercedes vehicle more special, allowing the driver or the front passenger to enjoy a more exceptional experience.Read the entire article Show your love for the Mercedes-AMG brand with a new option: the LED Projector AMG Emblem
If you are one of those lucky enough to place an order for a final production version of the Mercedes-AMG Project One, here is a good development: Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance arm has already commenced prototype testing of the hypercar in the United Kingdom.
Following its well-anticipated unveiling at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2017), the Mercedes-AMG Project One went into intensive development behind closed doors for several months. AMG’s transnational project team engineered the Project One digitally to ensure that goals can be met when the hypercar is put on the road.
To ensure that the high-performance drive unit intended for the Project One is ready for series production, hundreds of testing hours were spent on dyno testing the whole powertrain, including all of its hybrid components. Once the dyno tests were completed, the high-performance drive unit was installed into the first prototypes of the Project One.Read the entire article Mercedes-AMG is now test-driving camouflaged Project One prototypes
Mercedes-AMG’s GT 4-door Coupe models now have a new member, in the guise of the AMG GT 43 4MATIC+. This new model is AMG’s newest entry-level offering, with a price that is nearly EUR14,000 lower than the AMG GT 53 4MATIC+ that the high-performance division introduced in March this year.
Both the AMG GT 53 4MATIC+ coupe, the all-new AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ are powered by a dynamic core: a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line engine with EQ Boost that serves as a starter and an alternator. Nonetheless, the six-cylinder in-line engine sitting under the hood of the entry-level AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ is less powerful than the mill in the AMG GT 53 4MATIC+.
The 3.0-liter 6-cylinder in-line engine serving the AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ is tuned to deliver up to 270 kW (367 hp) of output and up to 500 Nm of torque available between 1,000 rpm and 4,500 rpm. This power level allows the AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ to sprint from nil to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 270 km/h. The AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ consumes between 9.1 liter and 9.4 liters of fuel per 100 km (combined) and emits between 209 grams and 215 grams of carbon dioxide per km (combined), enough to comply with Euro 6d-TEMP.Read the entire article 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ is the newest entry-level GT 4-door coupe
Mercedes-AMG only came out with the E43 lineup a few years ago, and already, the said model is ready to retire the badge so they could give way for the arrival of the electrified E53 family. It was first revealed at the beginning of the year during the Detroit Auto Show and came in two body styles, a coupe and a cabriolet. These were then followed by the reveal of the sedan and wagon flavours last month.
And according to the automaker, towards the end of the year, Mercedes will be selling the 2019 model year E53 Sedan in the United States, as a replacement of the E43 Sedan, and it will come along with the more upscale two-door E53 models. To make it clear, the name change is just a minor thing.
The real upgrade is in its performance, as it now packs more power. But instead, the new inline six biturbo 3.0 liter engine has an output of 429 horsepower and 384 pound feet of torque. That’s a noticeable difference compared to the old model that offered the output of 396 horsepower and 384 pound feet that came from the former V6 engine.Read the entire article 2019 Mercedes-AMG E53 Sedan will be available in the US later this year
If The Hulk were to be a car, what would it be? Well, you might want to check out this Mercedes-AMG GT R that is just as green and powerful as the angry monster. But before we get to that, let us first talk about the standard Mercedes-AMG GT which is available in a handful of variations. The standard version is the GT Coupe, pumping out a respectable 469 horsepower (349 kilowatts).
There is also the GT C, which focuses more on performance and has as much as 550 horsepower (410 kilowatts). Meanwhile, the range-topping model would be the track-ready GT R, with the ability to deliver 577 horsepower (430 kilowatts). And last but not the least is the four-door GT. But even with those options, one German tuning shop thinks that the AMG GT could use more power.
So going back to the mean, green AMG GT R that Renntech offers as an upgrade. They enabled it to deliver between 612 and 825 horsepower (456 and 615 kilowatts), depending on the trim. The latter of the two is dubbed as the AMG GT R825. This does not only have more power, but also has a torque of 626 pound feet (850 Newton metres). The extra power is attributed to the larger turbo, paired with a software upgrade, blow off valves, and high flow air filter, among others. Of course, expect the transmission as well as the clutch to cope with the change.Read the entire article German tuner Renntech boosts output of Mercedes-AMG GT R to 825 hp
Before we saw the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe make its debut, it was previewed by a concept that’s even crazier with a biturbocharged 4.0 liter hybrid V8 that brings out as much as 805 horsepower (600 kilowatts). Now, the good news here is that we could see the same engine in the AMG vehicle down the line, but the bad news is that this engine didn’t get carried over to the final production model.
During an interview between Mercedes boss, Tobias Moers and Digital Trends, it was confirmed that the hybrid V8 engine will go into production “one day”. However, he did not say which particular model will get the said engine. However, he promised that engineers have been working on a production version.
Moers even brought up the GT concept that came out in Geneva last year. That particular model had a V8 engine in the front and an electric motor on the rear axle. He then added that everything here is in development and that the said model will go into production one day.Read the entire article Mercedes-AMG says that 805 hp hybrid V8 will enter production
Another year means another Formula 1 season. And soon, the 2018 season will kick off this weekend with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. This year marks the 23rd consecutive year and Mercedes Benz, again will provide the Safety Car for the most important motorsport event. Since 1996, Mercedes-Benz had been the supplier of the event’s safety car, from way back when it was the C36 AMG, to the Mercedes-AMG GT R today - this might be the most powerful F1 Safety Car of all time.
Under its hood is a biturbo 4.0 liter V8 engine that enables the car to carry out 577 horsepower. During the 2015 to 2017 seasons, the GT R just follows the lesser GT S version. Also, it will be Bernd Maylander who will be behind the wheel of F1’s official Safety Car.
In Maylander’s interview, he said that the highlight of this car would be its driving dynamics. And that he is glad that it is a level higher than the AMG GT S of recent years. He added that the safety car should be deployed as rarely as possible, but when they have to bunch up the Formula 1 field and drive it around the track, then it will be equipped with the AMG GT R.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT R is currently the most powerful safety car
The Nurburgring Nordschleife has long been considered as a benchmark for performance in the automotive world. Because of its complicated course, carmakers and tuners have been trying to prove the worth of their creation by driving through the so-called Green Hell. Now, Mercedes-AMG could try to prove the performance of its Project One hypercar by challenging the Nurburgring.
In an interview with Autocar, Mercedes-AMG chief executive Tobias Moers remarked that it was "reasonable to speculate" that the new Project One hypercar would challenge the lap time record at the fabled Nurburgring lap time record. Right now, the lap time record for the Nurburgring for a production car is being held by a Porsche 911 GT2 RS (991) driven by Larns Kern. With a lap time of six minutes 47.30 seconds, this Porsche 911 GT2 RS had set a new record at this challenging course.
Interestingly, Moers is looking beyond the lap time record by a production car at Nurburgring. The AMG Project One will also try to challenge the overall lap time record at the Green Hell. This means that the AMG Project One will aim not just at becoming the fastest production car at this circuit, but also set the target of becoming the fastest among all cars that ever set their tracks on this road.Read the entire article AMG chief thinks Mercedes-AMG Project One could be the fastest car ever in Nurburgring
Mercedes-Benz recently published an AMG Project One teaser, and just by hearing those words, I am pretty sure that we got you excited. But here is the thing, it wasn’t a teaser of a hyper car this time, but a boat instead - or should we say hyper boat?
This boat is not like any regular boat out there, but it can be more accurately described as a Cigarette Racing offshore powerboat. It has been inspired by the impressive Mercedes-AMG Project One. The good news here is that we have been given full disclosure on this boat, and we are telling you now that it isn’t like your regular seagoing yacht that has an automaker’s badge but cannot perform. In fact, this is quite the opposite of that. With over 51 feet in length, this model is packed with carbon fiber, and can do 140 miles per hour (225 kilometers per hour) on water.
This boat is called the Cigarette Racing 515 Project One. It does not have the hypercar’s monstrous engine but that is completely fine with us. In fact, the Mercedes AMG Project One’s 1,000 horsepower engine will not get the boat anywhere near 140 miles per hour, and that is why this water borne Project One has been equipped with a pair of Mercury Racing quad-cam V8 engine that brings out 1,350 horsepower (1,006 kilowatts) each.Read the entire article 515 Project One powerboat by Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing is unveiled at 2018 Miami Boat Show

The company founded by Ferdinand Porsche has been in the business of building vehicles -- sports cars, SUVs and race cars – since 1931. The brand has long catered to the needs of motorists wanting a sporty ride built from around 24,000 auto race wins, including over 50 class victories at Le Mans. Meanwhile, consumers who want premium honey could also get it from Porsche.
Yes, the aforementioned information is right. Porsche is indeed now producing honey, not as a major source of income, but as part of a sustainability program. This honey – derived from 1.5 million honey bees from the company’s off-road area near its Leipzig plant – is now being sold in the Porsche Leipzig customer center shop under the name “Turbienchen.”
These bees aren’t the only inhabitants in Porsche’s off-road area. According to the German sports car maker, the nature reserve is now home to other wild animals like deer, amphibians, hares, birds, and bats. Everything was set into motion when the sports car company established colonies of Exmoor ponies and aurochs in the off-area, which measures around 132 hectares. As time passed, this off-area became a nature reserve, an offshoot of the company’s sustainable pasture concept at Porsche Leipzig.Read the entire article Porsche is selling honey produced at its nature reserve area in Leipzig
The Mercedes-AMG GT R isn't in any way underpowered. Dubbed as the “Beast of the Green Hell” by the AMG – owning to the fact it was mostly developed in the Nordschleife circuit of the famed Nurburgring – the AMG GT R has the specs to prove this moniker. However, tuning company Renntech has transformed the beast into a more powerful monster and wrapped it in an attention-seeking orange suit.
It is unknown whether Renntech has found the AMG GT R underpowered or just wanted to boost the speed predator’s credentials. Either way, Renntech did a great job in making the Beast of the Green Hell more impressive and more noticeable.
As it is, the AMG GT R is powered by 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is tuned by AMG to deliver 577 hp (585 PS) of max output and 516 lb.-ft. (700 Nm) of peak torque. This V8 engine – along with a number of dynamic elements and high-tech components – allow the AMG GT R to sprint from a standstill to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 198 mph (319 km/h). Furthermore, an AMG GT R driven by Christian Gebhardt of Sport Auto managed to complete a lap at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in just 7 minutes and 10.92 seconds.Read the entire article Renntech creates a 761 hp orange beast out of a Mercedes-AMG GT R
When Mercedes-AMG created the new Mercedes-AMG GT R, Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance brand had the racetrack in mind. Since most of the development time of the AMG GT R was spent in the "Green Hell" of the Nurburgring, the AMG GT R earned the nickname the “Beast of the Green Hell.” Now, that mindset is translated from four wheels into two wheels, resulting to the creation of the ROTWILD R.S2 Limited-Edition Beast of the Green Hell.
As its name indicates, the ROTWILD R.S2 Limited-Edition "Beast of the Green Hell" is a special-edition hand-built racing bike that takes heavy inspiration from the AMG GT R. While the development of the AMG GT R was underpinned by AMG’s vast experience in AMG GT3 customer sport and in the German Touring Car Masters, that of the ROTWILD R.S2 Limited-Edition "Beast of the Green Hell" is cored on driving dynamics, design, comfort and lightweight construction.
Just like the AMG GT R, the ROTWILD R.S2 Limited-Edition "Beast of the Green Hell" racing bike employs a number of state-of-the-art technology. While the AMG GT R employs intelligent lightweight construction incorporating aluminum and carbon with specific reinforcements in the body shell, the hand-built frame of the special edition bike takes on "Carbon Module Monocoque Technology" (MMT2) as well as "High Modulus" and "High Tenacity" fibresto. This allowed the bike frame to offer high levels of rigidity with ideal damping properties while weighing as low as possible.Read the entire article Rotwild R.S2 Beast of the Green Hell racing bike pays tribute to Mercedes-AMG GT R
Dodge Challenger SRT Demon owners are in for a special treat after Dodge has recently announced that it is making their cars extra special by offering exclusive aftermarket car accessories. Included in the collection are some fancy car covers, a leather-bound track manual and the optionally available street tires for drag performance enthusiasts.
The Pirelli performance tires which come in the sizes of 305/35ZR20 will be wrapped on the 20-inch standard wheels that suit the Challenger Hellcat’s Widebody set-up. The package is only offered on the Dodge Demon which is available for purchase through Mopar Performance Parts and Accessories. Given that the stock drag radials may also be prone to damage especially in colder climates, having an extra set of high performance tires is not far from being a necessity.
Among the aftermarket products currently available are Mopar’s rear seat delete package which gives the owners the option to remove the rear seat if they initially availed the Demon to come with the rear seat. This may sound simple but the package offers all the necessary parts and hardware that would have been used in the first place had the customer chose the Demon without the rear seat ready.Read the entire article Aftermarket add-ons now available for the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been around for quite some time now but to bid it farewell, the company has launched the Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition. Mercedes will only build a total of 65 examples of the Final Edition, which will be sold worldwide. And each of them will come with a price tag of 310,233 euros (around $368,000).

Both sides of the body get a high-gloss black trim in the protective strips, and the grille up front now gets a black mesh center.
Inside the Final Edition’s cabin are a number of upscale features like the black nappa leather that covers the seats, and the carbon-fiber-like finish for the seat bolsters. To give it some contrast while keeping it looking high-end, Mercedes gave the diamond quilted center sections bronze stitching. Furthermore, there is a light brown weave that highlights the carbon-fiber trim throughout the interior. Heated and ventilated seats will ensure the comfort of passengers when the climate changes.Read the entire article Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition will be limited to 65 examples only, each one at $368,000
After Mercedes-Benz introduced the Project One, the first street legal car with the Formula 1 powertrain, wouldn’t you wonder what an F1 version of it would look? Well, maybe getting rid of the roof will help.
We do know that F1 drivers drive cars with no roof, not yet at least. So if you are into the current design of the Project One, you will love it as a Spyder.
Now, thanks to E Milano for rendering the Project One for us. Parked on what looks like someone’s garage, the Project One looks like it is ready to hit the race track anytime.Read the entire article Would a Project One Roadster from Mercedes-AMG work?

Those who will attend the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show will be able to personally witness the Mercedes-Benz EQ A Concept, but if you want to experience something even more high-tech, check out the automaker’s E-Class Estate that features an augmented reality roof box. You’ll probably wonder how Mercedes-Benz Accessories’ demonstration works. Well, visitors of the auto show will have to use Microsoft’s HoloLens glasses and a camera to recognize their hand movements, which lets them store skis and bags into the storage space.
Some of you may not be into high-tech gimmicks like this, and that’s completely fine because Mercedes-Benz Accessories will also display several customized X-Class pickups that will demonstrate the wide variety of available parts to improve the truck’s overall appearance. These include soft or hard tonneau covers for the truck, a bed cap, styling bars, side steps, a bed liner and storage box. If you have always wanted the really pricey Porsche Design 911 Soundbar that looks like a 911 GT3 exhaust and costs $3,500, there is a new alternative that you might want to consider for your home - that is the 911 Speaker that is also by Porsche Design. Though this speaker is not a replication of any part of the 911, it costs almost $3,000 less at only $599.
By looking at the design of the speakers, the closest thing it looks like would be the dual exhausts of the GT3. The compact speakers have dimensions of 11.42 inches long, 6.1 inches wide, and 4.7 inches in height (290 x 155 x 120 millimeters). As for the quality, the speakers are made of aluminum housing that is finished in high-gloss black. It features a 60-watt system with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity that you can pair up with devices as far as 33 feet away (10 meters). Inside, it has a lithium-ion battery pack that can play your music for as long as 24 hours, and the best part is the fact that it supports voice commands.
But that is not all it features, if you get two of these, you will be able to pair both devices for a stereo sound, unlocking a new feature. One will act as the left component, while the other will act as the right one. It is either that, or both speakers will broadcast the same music from two different parts of your home, enabling it to fill a larger space.Read the entire article You can now have supercar sound in your home with Porsche Design 911 Speaker
