Driving during the worst of winter in the UK is easier when you have any of the Alfa MiTo and Giulietta models that come with Alfa’s innovative D.N.A. system, which features an All-Weather driving mode. The Alfa MiTo and Giulietta ranges get the intelligent Vehicle Dynamic Control.
Drivers can choose from ‘D’ (Dynamic), ‘N’ (Natural) and ‘A’ (All-Weather) driving modes. When the car is in All-Weather mode, the ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) system constantly tracks the tire grip, its yaw and the steering angle. When necessary, the system narrows the throttle opening and the brakes are applied to the individual wheels to sustain stability. Simultaneously, the VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) system turns more intrusive, perfect for conditions where wheels could be on both snow and tarmac.
In addition, a Mµ-Split control function permits the car to discover traction and control at the same time on two totally diverse road conditions. This works together with the DST (Dynamic Steering Torque) feature that offers steering torque movements to initiate the natural correction of oversteer. Lastly, Hydraulic Brake Assistance also raises the braking pressure and as a result, it lessens the braking distances in an emergency.Read the entire article 2013 Alfa MiTo and Giulietta now available with the intelligent All-Weather control

This report coincides with the launch of the Alfa MiTo TwinAir, which features the highly awarded 875cc twin-cylinder turbo engine with variable intake valve technology and sub-100g/km CO2 emissions.

Alfa Romeo has been working on revitalizing its product portfolio, beginning with the Giulia and the Stelvio. Other than those two, the Italian automaker also has plans on adding a larger crossover in the lineup too, but what will that be? Well, if our sources are reliable, the automaker was said to be looking into two new vehicles, namely the 4C and another model that will be the successor of the Giulietta.
Roberto Fedeli, Alfa Romeo’s chief technical officer told Auto Express, said that they will need a few other pillars, to put in the C-segment, as well as a much sportier model, for them to be able to complete the Alfa range of products.
Alfa Romeo is also considering a shortened version of the Giulietta, which will be the shortened version of the Giulia sedan’s platform, and it will likely be a rear wheel drive as well. And take note, that this is a rare territory for C-segment hatchbacks, kind of like the formula of the BMW 1 Series hatch. The thing is, Alfa and FCA will have to make sure that it is worth their time, money, and effort to re-enter that segment.Read the entire article Alfa Romeo will add 2 new models to its lineup: a Giulietta successor and a new 4C
Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci. These are a few of the famous Italian artists known for their wonderful works of art. Here comes Mito, from Turin, Italy, but Mito is no person. Mito is Alfa Romeo’s three-door supermini. Itself a work of art -- like its 8C, 4C and Guilia siblings -- the Alfa Romeo recently became involved in an art project in which it was the artist. All it needed was an empty warehouse, large white canvass and, of course, colorful powder and paint.
Then came the moment of truth, as captured in video by new high-quality dual camera feature of the new iPhone 7 Plus, which is now fully water-resistant. Its dual rear cameras don’t only take notably better photos -- especially in low light – but also could stitch together two images for unique effects like 2x optical zoom. A future software upgrade would add a cool in-camera bokeh effect that could blur the background while still focusing on the foreground. In addition, the battery of the new Alfa Romeo Mito
Using its spirited agility and superb driving dynamics, the Alfa Romeo Mito, ran and swished over the colored powder and paint and splash them over the white canvass – employing its distinct D.N.A driving system in the process. Alfa Romeo’s unique D.N.A system is a driving mode selector that could adapt the Mito’s performance to suit the driving style and road conditions.Read the entire article New Alfa Romeo Mito creates art work captured by iPhone7 Plus

The anticipation for the comeback of Alfa Romeo in the U.S. builds up more with the delays. Apparently, Alfa Romeo has spent a lot of its time on being featured in several Hollywood movies. In fact, the Giulietta will be seen in the “Fast & Furious 6” movie at one of its signature stunts. The movie opens on May 24 in the U.S. In the “Fast Five” movie, two Dodge Chargers dragged a vault through the streets.
But the stunt for the sixth movie is even more ridiculous. The Giulietta will be disembarking from a cargo plane during takeoff. Notably, these Giuliettas won’t have much alike with the hot hatch models on sale in Europe since they will receive many revisions on their exterior and interior for the movie. A variety of engines will be available for the Euro-spec Giulietta.
These include a 1.4-liter turbocharged Multiair engine and 2.0-liter turbodiesel mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Alfa fans are excited for the launch of the 4C in the U.S. that marks the brand’s comeback. However, it’s not yet known when the Giulietta will make it to the U.S.Read the entire article Alfa Romeo Giulietta debuts in Fast & Furious 6 movie

Kicking the market trend where carmaker's average volume dropped by 4.4%, Alfa Romeo gained the third biggest manufacturer volume percentage boost for the year. Alfa Romeo’s Giulietta line will soon have an addition to its family – a wagon. The wagon version is expected to complement the Giulietta hatchback, Alfa’s most popular model. The Giulietta wagon is the first wagon from Alfa since 2008, when its parent Fiat SpA discontinued its Stilo Multi Wagon due to poor sales.
Currently, wagons account for around 25% of compact car sales in Europe and more than 75% in Germany and Italy. The Giulietta wagon is expected to hit showrooms by mid-2013. Meanwhile, Alfa is also set to launch a large crossover and a mid-sized model, the Giulia, and in late 2013.
