A week ago, we spoke of the Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s up-and-coming limo that was scheduled to make its debut during his inauguration. And we weren’t disappointed when the massive limo finally was presented. The limo is actually how we imagine a hybrid of a Mercedes-Benz S Class and a Rolls-Royce Phantom would be like.
Putin’s limo is referred to with the code name Kortezh or cortege in English (which directly means entourage or procession). The front fascia features a large chrome grille with vertical slats that accentuate the limo’s considerable size. It features rectangular headlights that evoke an image of the Chrysler 300. As you move onto the back, the rear glass flows back to a long tail, and the taillights look a lot like those on the S-Class.
Unsurprisingly, we don’t have much technical information about Putin’s limo, for obvious reasons. But according to sources, the limo uses a turbocharged V12 with 850 horsepower (634 kilowatts) that was achieved with assistance from Porsche engineering. The engine works with a Russian-designed nine speed automatic gearbox. Under the Kortezh’s skin, we expect an abundance of armour, communication, and security technology.Read the entire article Vladimir Putin’s 850 hp limo debuts at his inauguration
One thing that the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin will really need would be a vehicle that isn’t only comfortable, but one that will also protect him from the most brutal attacks. And that’s why his new luxury limousine had to go through a long development and testing period. And after many sessions of crash testing, Putin’s ride is finally ready to drive him around the country.
Denis Manturov, Russia’s trade minister, told national daily newspaper Russia Today, that the president’s new vehicle will be spotted in action at Putin’s presidential inauguration on May 7. There is no better way to form a new government and denounce your western rivals from a position of luxury and comfort.
Before the end of the month, Putin’s car is scheduled to be delivered to the Kremlin. The newly re-elected Russian premier is said to have been closely involved in the project, even finding the time to get out of the office and drive earlier versions of the vehicle.Read the entire article Here’s what we know about Vladimir Putin’s new armored luxury limo
When you first glance at the Rhino GX SUV, the first thing that will come to mind is that the vehicle probably has a military style cabin, with thinly padded seats, plenty of metal, surveillance cameras all over, and mounts for your weapons.
That is perhaps because of its massive size, as it measures around 19 feet long, eight feet wide, and seven feet tall. With those dimensions, of course it weighs a lot, and I mean five tons. With that size, finish it off with a Stealth Black, Tactical Green, or Desert Sand paint job and it will look like a handsome tank that people will be scared of.
Though it may look really badass on the outside, the Rhino GX SUV actually looks very comfortable and luxurious on the inside, which is a total contrast from what people see outside. The Executive edition, in particular, gives the leather-trimmed interior additional wood trim with chrome accents. Power seats and power foot rests get heat controls, while the huge sunroof lets in light from above.Read the entire article Rhino GX Executive is tough and imposing outside but a luxurious haven inside
Bulletproof cars and trucks are found in all parts of the world for safety purposes. However, adding a bulletproof glass, run-flat tires, Kevlar and other protective equipment is no easy task as these can add weight to the already heavy vehicle. But this is the specialty of Russian tuner Topcar Design, which guarantees to modify your vehicle to make it more badass. Take the newly modified Mercedes-Benz GLE Guard for example, a sophisticated vehicle that is now a prime example of a vehicle that you don’t want to mess with. And the best feature of this beast? TopCar Design is a luxury car tuning company that was founded in Moscow around 2004, and is considered as one of the pioneer Russian tuning companies. Now TopCar has established its trademark around the world with 14 official dealers around the world. And if you are needing to transform your beloved Mercedes-Benz into an armoured vehicle, then TopCar Design is up for the task. It will mean more bang for your buck as you can acquire both safety as well as a design upgrade, with the premium all white leather interior and impenetrable windows. The Russian Tuner is also willing to install a one of a kind wood, crocodile leather and even astonishing 24K gold trimmings if you want a more premium feel and if you prefer to hang out longer in that car and feel secure with its protective elements and bulletproof glass, so no worries.Read the entire article TopCar creates all-white interior on armoured Mercedes-Benz GLE Guard
Second-hand or used cars are usually appreciated because of their lower prices. Some used-car buyers hit the jackpot when they chance upon a car that has been well maintained and managed – and with less than 10,000 km on the odometer sold at a low price.
However, there are used cars that even go beyond their book value simply because they were formerly owned by famous celebrities – like athletes, actors or actresses, singers, talk show hosts, local heroes or even politicians. Fans and collectors would surely line up to get such vehicles even at a price higher than their book values.
But what if that car used to ferry the current top man of the Russian Federation in his first term as the second president of the country? As the private seller (a certain Sergei Urov) claims, this GUARD Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman used to be one of the rides of current Russia President of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. And this limousine-type vehicle is being sold at mobile.de -- which tags itself as the largest online vehicle market in Germany – for a whopping $1.3 million, which could be around ten times than the normal worth of a car of this type.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Guard used by Vladimir Putin is for sale online

The popularity of armoured vehicles continues to rise. Engineers have taken a Toyota Land Cruiser and put in armored plating, bullet resistant glass and run-flat tires at a workshop located in an industrial area on the borders of Dubai. As a result of the "Arab spring" revolts and with the wealth gap and the rising of social unrest in several regions of the world, there’s no lack of wealthy individuals and governments who think that they require additional protection.
It was a profitable decade for companies like Canada's INKAS, Britain's Jankel and Germany's Transeco. There still are deals to be made even with the winding down of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In fact, newer entrant Ares Security Vehicles claims that its order book is growing. This company started in 2010 but it has mostly industry veterans in its workforce.Read the entire article Armoured vehicles are getting more popular due to ‘Arab spring’

An armored luxurious limousine from famous carmaker Maybach? Yes, Maybach is introducing a fortressed yet comfortably luxurious Maybach Guard that still offers the performance and individualization level typical of Maybach vehicles. Derived from the Maybach 62, Maybach Guard also features an array of integrated safety systems in response to the needs of businesspeople and high-ranking government officials.
For instance, Maybach engineers integrated into the body shell of the vehicle a special armor made from highly specialized steel and high-tech Kevlar. This composition renders the armor to be lightweight yet almost impenetrable. Because of its light nature, the armor added only 406 kg to the overall weight of the Maybach Guard, sans any compromise on the handling system and on the performance of the vehicle.
Since the base of the Maybach Guard was designed for the extra weight, there was no need to implement tweaks on the drive train, suspension and the braking system. In fact, the Maybach Guard is the only armored car that could accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 km/h. Interestingly, the integration of armor has been done so flawlessly that it has become almost impossible to distinguish a Maybach Guard from a typical Maybach 62 saloon.Read the entire article 2011 Maybach Guard is ready to protect you wherever you go
