Earlier today we talked about the facelifted 2015 Audi A6 Sedan and Avant models, but now we will take a closer look at the 2015 A6 Allroad Quattro Facelift. Based on the A6 Avant, the new A6 Allroad Quatttro is able to take its passengers almost anywhere thanks to its raised body and steel lining that underside of the front and rear ends.
When it comes to design, the new model features vertical slats in the Singleframe grille, new headlights that can be configured as an option with LED or matrix LED technology, as well as a new set of taillights that get a new LED design. Audi A6 (C8) is still quite fresh in the market but already, artists have been rendering the said model, with variants of their own. Recently, we saw a hot RS6 makeover of the sporty saloon, but now, artist Tobias Buttner gives us his take on the German luxury saloon, giving it a more rugged theme. As you could see in the photos, this is a rendering of the A6 Allroad model. Like all the Allroad models, it adopts new body cladding and a higher ride height, both in an effort to enhance off road practicality.
The standard styling cues of the standard A6 are carried over, of course, but there are also a number of unique variations to note. For instance, the grille, while still large and imposing, features vertical chrome inserts as opposed to the horizontal design found of the standard model. The accenting vents have been made more subtle, and there is a silver running board located just below the grille.
Expect the ride height to be a little higher, and there’s plastic body cladding around the wheels that assures that it will be able to take on tougher roads, without leaving the paint of the fenders scratched. The previous model is just a bit taller, with its height raised by just 3.5 centimeters (35 mm) over the standard sedan, with an available one extra centimetre (10 mm) of lift available at low speeds. Expect similar figures for the new model; that is, if Audi chooses to build it.Read the entire article Tobias Buttner renders a rugged, more capable 2019 Audi A6 (C8) Allroad
Just a month ago, Audi unveiled the all-new A6 Sedan (C8), and it seems more comfortable, sportily elegant and digitalized than its predecessor. The German premium carmaker didn’t wait long to reveal the more practical version of the new A6 Sedan – the new 2019 Audi A6 Avant (C8) – featuring the same stunning design and spacious interior.
As a twin of the new Audi A6 Sedan, the A6 Avant features a striking and dynamic design, especially at the front half. The A6 Avant looks very much the same as the A6 Sedan, except for the rear half that has designed to deliver a more spacious cabin that is more practical for both passengers and cargo. In terms of dimensions, the new Audi A6 Avant measures 4.94 meters (16.2 ft) in length, 1.89 meters (6.2 ft) in width and 1.47 meters (4.8 ft) in height. With these dimensions, the interior of the new A6 Avant is larger than on its predecessor. It also offers larger front and rear elbow rooms as well as larger rear knee room.
In terms of luggage space, the new A6 Avant is as spacious as its predecessor, with a loading width of 1,050 mm (3.5 ft) and a capacity 565 liters (20.0 cu. ft.). When the backrests are folded down, the cargo capacity surges to 1,680 liters (59.3 cu. ft.). As standard, the tailgate and the luggage compartment cover of the A6 Avant open electrically. However, the tailgate could be availed with an optional sensor control.Read the entire article Audi reveals 2019 A6 Avant (C8) with a more spacious and digitalized interior
Chevrolet is introducing the 2019 iteration of its quintessential Camaro pony car, as further reenergized with new characteristic designs and new available technologies. Furthermore, the new 2019 Camaro is now available as the Turbo 1LE model.
The updates made on the design of the 2019 Camaro don’t just make the car more appealing and more stunning, but also enhance its potential – following the mantra that all elements mustn’t only be beautiful but also improve performance. For instance, the new Camaro features redesigned grille details, hood and fascia vents for optimized airflow, working to either cool down heat-yielding components or reduce aerodynamic drag and lift.
For the 2019 models, the new Camaro is available with the carmaker’s next-generation Infotainment 3, as laden with all-new systems which functionality mimics the latest smartphones and tablets. These systems also allow over-the-air vehicle software updates. As standard, a seven-inch-diagonal color touchscreen is provided, although an eight-inch diagonal touchscreen is available.Read the entire article Chevrolet launches reenergized 2019 Camaro with new Turbo 1LE model
It has been months since Kia began making noise about its new sporty Stinger, as well as the redesigned K900 flagship sedan that is among Kia’s biggest reveals at the 2018 New York Auto Show. But of course, the 2019 Kia Optima will not allow itself to be overshadowed. This is why the long standing compact sedan received a minor update that primarily adds new equipment and tech to the familiar design.
At first glance, it is not easy to spot the changes on the Optima, but if there is one thing that will truly catch your attention, it will be the new Passion Red exterior paint option that help identify the 2019 Optima. The car wears Stinger inspired LED daytime running lights. On one hand, the S models will be getting new fog lamps in a tweaked front fascia, together with LED tail lights, and a couple of gloss black trim for the grille and the side sills.
The EX trim level, on the other hand, gets new leather sport seats and a new ambient interior lighting option. Moving up the higher trims, the SX will be dressed in two-tone red/black leather “European style” sport seats, and the SXL model will be a little more upscale with a new two tone bronze/black interior with Nappa leather.Read the entire article 2019 Kia Optima gets minor refresh and technology update
Just last year, Mazda gave the 2019 CX-3 compact crossover a number of extensive upgrades. And now, they have decided to give it a minor facelift again. This time, the focus is more on improving the driver’s comfort by offering improved materials in the cabin, and a little more power under the hood. The more refined CX3 will go on sale later this spring, but Mazda will not provide us with the prices until it gets closer to launch.
Just like before, the Mazda CX-3 continues to carry Mazda’s Skyactiv-G 2.0 liter four cylinder. It now produces 148 horsepower (110 kilowatts) and 148 pound feet (201 Newton metres) of torque, instead of the outgoing model with 146 horsepower (109 kilowatts) and 146 pound feet (198 Newton metres).
Mazda also says that the engine change allows for more torque throughout the rev range, better fuel economy, and less internal friction. But there are actually not enough specific numbers that will back up these claims at this time.Read the entire article 2019 Mazda CX-3 shows revised grille, new taillights
Ford have recently been dropping hints about a new Ford Fusion, and what I mean is that they will soon reveal the redesigned sedan for 2020. But even before this, they are already considering a minor upgrade for the mid-sized 2019 model year. Some of the more noticeable upgrades include visual cues on the outside like a new grille and LED driving lamps up front, as well as a new trunk lid panel and LED tail lights in the rear.
As for technology, the Ford Fusion has now been given Ford’s driver assist systems, which they had just rebranded as Co-Pilot360 earlier this month. Now, this comes standard throughout the Fusion line.
Having said that, even the base model Fusion S will be equipped with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, auto high-beam headlights, and a rear backup camera. If you want to opt for something more premium, then there is also the Co-Pilot360 Assist. This adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, voice activated navigation with Sirius XM Traffic and Travel Link.Read the entire article 2019 Ford Fusion Facelift is not sleeker than its predecessor
Earlier this week, we talked about Volkswagen’s plans to halt the production of the US spec Passat for a few weeks during spring. And now, we just learned new things about its European counterpart. The Wolfsburg based manufacturer said that the Euro spec Passat will be out in the market very soon, though they did not give a particular date.
Dr. Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Volkswagen brand, said in his speech at the annual Volkswagen Media Conference, that the Passat is almost ready to arrive in dealerships across the Old Continent. But he stops there and does not give any other details. However, he did mention that the Passat will be available as Variant and hybrid models.
Unlike the US spec Passat, the European variant of the model sits on an MQB platform. The eighth generation of the D segment vehicle was launched way back in 2014, as a premium car that is still affordable to most. This model will be available as a traditional sedan, a practical wagon, and a rugged Alltrack wagon.Read the entire article Facelifted VW Passat will be available in Europe this year
Audi has officially released images of its new A6 sedan. While this eight-generation sedan was scheduled to make an appearance at this year's 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the brand was forced to release photos and information after images were leaked to the internet. This makes the new A6 (C8) official as it prepares to join the A7 and the A8.
Under the hood, the new A6 shows that it has the same maneuverability as a compact while also having the handling of a sports car. The redesigned suspensions means the use of aluminum in a number of areas and aids in ride quality even when getting the optional 21-inch wheels fitted with the low-profile tires. For many owners, this mix is rarely seen as something that offers comfort.
While the new version and the previous one may appear to be similar, a closer look reveals some differences. In terms of dimensions, the changes are really minute. The new A6 is longer by 0.3 inches, wider by 0.5 inches, and taller by 0.1 inch. However the front fascia is now more pronounced and combined with the wide singleframe grille, giving it a look much like that of the A7.Read the entire article 2019 Audi A6 (C8) unveiled ahead of Geneva Motor Show
Finally, the refreshed 2019 Buick Envision has been revealed to us by the automaker. Buick then says that most of these changes on both its looks and its mechanism were made in response to their customers’ feedback for the crossover when the 2016 model year was launched.
The 2019 Buick Envision now has a new front fascia, with the new headlights and the grille that make the facelifted model look more like the other new Buick models. It now sits on a set of 19 inch wheels and the rear has got new taillights as well. HID headlights now come as a standard, and customers could go for the optional LEDs on the top two trim levels.
They can also opt for the optional 2.0 liter inline four engine that carries out 295 pound feet of torque, which is a good improvement from the previous 260. Power output, however, remains at 252 horsepower. This engine is paired to a nine speed automatic transmission instead of the six speed transmission on its predecessor.Read the entire article Refreshed 2019 Buick Envision gets aesthetic and power tweaks with optional nine-speed automatic
Buick has plans of refreshing its popular Envision compact crossover for the 2019 model year. Automotive News was able to get a sneak peek of the model recently, which is supposedly getting a couple of subtle changes, but still noticeable - up front and in the rear.
The outgoing model has been out in the United States for about a year and a half, but with this segment (SUV market) being the most competitive amongst the rest, manufacturers are seeing a need to regularly update their vehicles.
The automaker wants to align the 2019 Buick Envision with the brand’s other models, namely its best selling Encore. It was back in May 2016 when the Envision was first launched as a first entry model in the compact crossover segment, and it quickly became the brand’s number 3 seller behind two other crossovers, which are the Encore and Enclave. In its first full year on the market in 2017, it sold a total of 41,040 units.Read the entire article 2019 Buick Envision will get a minor facelift
The Ford Edge Facelift recently made its debut with a United States specification, and now, it is time for us to see the new Ford Edge with its European face. We are slated to see the company’s most technologically advanced SUV ever at the upcoming 2018 Geneva Motor Show in early March, just before it goes on sale in European dealerships this year.
Similar to its American relative, the refreshed version of the European Edge will receive a wider radiator grille with unique finish that is different from every trim level. What’s also standard across the range now are LEDs on both the headlights and taillights, with LED daytime running lamps, which can be added as an option.
Under the hood of the European Ford Edge is the same 2.0 liter diesel engine, as the company decided that no gasoline motors will be added. Another highlight here is that the EcoBlue version of the diesel will be utilizing an advanced turbocharging system that enables it to carry out 238 horsepower (175 kilowatts). Ford promises that they have worked on the low-end torque and noise, vibration and harshness, while providing smooth and linear acceleration too.Read the entire article European spec 2018 Ford Edge Facelift debuts with new biturbo diesel
After publishing a teaser design sketch last month, Skoda finally revealed the mildly updated Fabia Facelift in a hatchback as well as a wagon variant. The changes on its design are so subtle that you may not notice them right away. But we’re here to point these out for you. Let’s start off with the headlights and taillights. These now use LED tech, making the rear look like the facelifted Octavia.
Customers can now get a set of 18-inch alloy wheels exclusively for the hatchback version, which is a first for the Fabia. Both the front and the rear bumpers have been given some changes too but these are not very apparent. While these revisions are welcome, these probably will not get you so excited that you’d want to go straight to your dealership.
As for technology upgrades, the cabin has now been equipped with a 6.5-inch touchscreen that have Bluetooth, USB, and SD card connectivity. The car gets the Swing system as standard but customers can then opt for the Swing Plus and Amundsen setup if they want features like CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink.Read the entire article 2018 Skoda Fabia Facelift gets mild updates, LED, new trim, more tech
The outgoing Mercedes-Benz C Class began production in the year 2015. And even though it may not be that old, the automaker decided to already give it a mid-cycle refresh and finally, it has arrived with the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan. The automaker recently just took the camouflage off the vehicle, before setting out to make its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March.
When looking at the new C-Class sedan from the outside, changes seem to be very subtle but noticeable. For instance, the single bar diamond grille from the AMG Line now comes standard, surrounded by new LED headlights that are now standard as well.
The front fascia looks tweaked with horizontal fins in the side air intakes. The rear fascia has also been redesigned, now with an additional diffuser. The headlights and the taillights also got a minor design change and an LED upgrade, and the sedan now sits on a set of 17 inch twin five spoke wheels that are standard. Customers will now have more paint options like Mojave Silver Metallic and Emerald Green Metallic.Read the entire article 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Facelift gets more power and tech upgrades
When the Skoda Octavia went through its mid-cycle refresh, which was eventually revealed in October of 2016, it did not get an all-digital instrument cluster, unlike the Volkswagen Golf and SEAT Leon that share one platform. And because of that, Skoda decided to make up for lost time and is now going to offer buyers an option where they will replace the analog driver’s display with a fully digital screen like that you will find in the Karoq compact crossover, but of course with an added cost.
The new fully digital instrument panel has recently been added into the Czech configurator, where it is listed, and has an asking price of 8 900 Kč (that is equivalent to about €351 at current exchange rates). We are expecting to see the facelifted Octavia with this new feature, earlier next month when it goes to the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, alongside the tweaked Fabia.
Physically, the digital instrument panel measures 12.3 inches in diagonal, wherein the digital instrument panel sports a resolution of 1,4400 by 540 pixels. Drivers have an option to go 2D or 3D when it comes to navigation information. It also features different layouts including Classic, Digital, Info-Profile, and Reduced.Read the entire article Facelifted Skoda Octavia boasts new feature – the all-digital instrument cluster
At the upcoming 2018 Geneva Motor Show next month, we won’t be seeing the all new Ford Focus. But there’s something else there that we’re sure you’ll want to see for yourself. The automaker’s entry level model in Europe, the Ka+, is currently going through some physical changes. Sources say that it will also come with an Active version, like that of the Fiesta Active that came out last year.
The pseudo crossover is more than just what’s apparent on the exterior. It has got a new plastic body cladding, and its suspension has been raised by about +23 millimeters / 0.9 inches. It now has a wider track as well as larger front anti roll bars.
The automaker also decided that they will tweak the electronic power steering as well, therefore making the Ford Ka+ Active feel more like a crossover when being taken out for a ride. Dampers had been retuned as well, enabling a smoother ride when driving on bumpy roads, while the new Active Rollover Prevention system has an updated security, for when you strap your luggage on the roof.Read the entire article Active variant of 2018 Ford Ka+ comes with crossover-like features
After releasing images of the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee, the American brand has finally unveiled in metal the world-renowned mid-size sports utility vehicle at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan.
Serving as an update or a refresh of the fifth generation of the Jeep Cherokee (KL generation), the 2019 iteration of the vehicle features a new, authentic and more premium design that remains faithful to the iconic Jeep styling. As previous images had already shown, the new Jeep Cherokee features an all-new front end that aligns with the mid-size SUV on the premium side of the Jeep family while sporting the iconic Jeep styling.
For instance, the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee now features conventional unified headlights. The new bi-LED projector headlamps have incorporated the signature Cherokee daytime running looks into one fixture, providing a fresh look, allowing the 2019 Cherokee to follow the visual lead of the latest iterations of the Jeep Compass and Jeep Grand Cherokee. The new 2019 Cherokee also features dual LED fog lights on the re-sculpted front fascia. Likewise, the new 2019 Cherokee has retained its signature waterfall hood and is mated to the seven-slot grille – signifying the mid-size SUV as a member of the Jeep family – in a single piece. Clean visual lines separate the sloping lightweight aluminum hood from the front fenders.Read the entire article Jeep reveals heavily updated 2019 Cherokee in metal at 2018 Detroit Auto Show
BMW’s 2 Series Active Tourer finally gets its first ever mid-cycle update, and if we could describe the facelift in one word, we would say that it was very “discreet”. This minivan isn’t just the first for BMW, but it also marks their first attempt to do a front wheel drive too.
Both variants, namely the five seater 2 Series Active Tourer, as well as the seven seat Gran Tourer, will be getting the new paint scheme of Jucaro Beige and Sunset Orange, together with the six new options for alloy wheels that vary in size from 17 to 19 inches.
When looking at it from the outside, the changes are very hard to see, which is why we are going to point them out for you. First, the LED headlights have a more hexagonal shape like the new BMW models, while the rear features light emitting diodes that exhibit different graphics. The kidney grille, single-piece air intake, and LED fog lamps are also new here.Read the entire article 2018 BMW 2 Series Active Tourer gets subtle facelift, now offered with 7-speed, dual-clutch Steptronic gearbox
