Would you like to shred the streets riding an Audi S3 Cabrio that has had its engine boosted? You're in luck, as a leading auto tuning company has stepped up its game and remade the Audi S3 into a raging speed sports car.
Audi S3 Cabriolet is the convertible, roofless variant of the S3 hatchback that is largely influenced by the S3 Saloon, and is geared to compete against the BMW 2 Series Convertible and the Porsche Boxster. The S3 Cabriolet comes with a 2.0 L turbocharged petrol engine that delivers around 305 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque. Features come with direct and indirect injection system, high strength connecting rods, twin balancer shaft and pure aluminium pistons.
But this convertible will be getting the makeover, ABT Sportsline style. The tuner's ABT Power S package produces speed that has been deemed impressive by the car enthusiasts. It has been compared to a hurricane, but even a hurricane can rarely achieve a wind speed that’s faster and stronger than what the tweaked S3 Cabrio can dish out.Read the entire article ABT Sportsline offers power package for the 2017 Audi S3 Cabrio
With the recent unveiling of the new Audi RS3 Sedan, discerning S3 owners with an eye for sporty dynamic performance are presented with several options. They could sell off their S3 rides and get the new RS3 Sedan. Or they could contact German-based tuner ABT Sportsline and settle for more powerful version of the S3.
ABT could transform the Audi S3 Sedan into a sportier riding machine by offering a number of tweaks from the engine to its exhaust. Specifically, ABT is offering two ABT Power software units that tune the sedan’s 2.0 four-cylinder TFSI engine to a whole new level. For instance, the ABT Power software could hike the TFSI’s power from 228 kW (310 hp) of output and 400 Nm of torque to around 272 kW (370 hp) of output and 480 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the ABT Power S software could significantly hike the engine’s power to 294 kW (400 hp) of max output and 500 Nm of peak torque.
That is higher than the 362 hp of output and 465 Nm of torque developed by the 2.5-liter TFSI engine under the hood of the Audi RS3. With the ABT Power S software, the 2.0 four-cylinder TFSI engine is as powerful as the improved variant of the 2.5-liter TFSI powerplant that develops 394 hp of output and 480 Nm of torque available between 1,700 rpm and 5,850 rpm. Since the Audi RS3 could sprint from zero to 100 km/ (62 mph) in around 4.1 seconds, we could expect the ABT-tuned S3 to perform about the same.Read the entire article ABT Sportsline modifies Audi S3 to be as powerful as new RS3 Sedan

Yesterday we’ve told you that Volkswagen is planning an even more powerful version of the Golf R for the 2014 Beijing Motor Show called Golf R Evo but it appears that the German company will apply the same strategy with the Audi S3. Dubbed Audi S3 Plus, the new model will fill the gap between the S3 and the top-of-the-range RS3 Sportback.
If the RS3 Sportback is powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine rated at 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque, the S3 Plus will use the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine boosted to an impressive 375 hp and 500 Nm of torque. With the S3 Plus, Audi aims to create a more powerful engine and take on Mercedes-Benz AMG’s division 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine found on the A45 AMG and capable to deliver 360 hp and 450 Nm of torque.
The new Audi S3 Plus will be introduced in 2015 and it is expected to be even faster than the current RS3 Sportback, at least until the next-generation arrives. For those who don’t know, the RS3 Sportback is able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. The next-generation RS3 Sportback is expected to carry the same 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine that will generate over 400 hp.Read the entire article Audi S3 Plus in the works, will get 375 hp and debut in 2015

It’s likely to have a bigger boot space than the old model, which has already stopped production.
Because of switching to the saloon body, the car becomes a bit longer too. The two cars will be produced at the same plant located in Hungary. The new model will keep the existing car’s fabric roof in order to maintain its weight and complexity as well as its costs. The S3 cabrio is believed to offer a strong performance.

A new, 276bhp Audi S3 will be launched this September at the Paris Motor Show. It competes with the other hot hatch units in Europe with a boost in its premium-brand performance. This newest model from Audi’s S-badged line-up was previewed in an artist impression.
The S3 has a price tag of around £32,000 and will arrive at UK showrooms early next year. Its closest rivals would be the £30,000 BMW M135i hatchback announced last week and the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG that will be featured with the S3 at Paris. Audi had hoped to equip the new all-wheel-drive S3 with a detuned version of the 2.5-litre five-pot engine of the RS3 Sportback.
What happened instead is that the S3 will use a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that will be used in an entire host of other Volkswagen Group models because of its compatibility with the new modular MQB platform.Read the entire article New Audi S3 to take on Bmw M135i and the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG
A landmark in transmission technology is now on hand in the Audi S3 and S3 Sportback athletic compact versions. The S tronic dual-clutch transmission combines the powerful two-liter TFSI motor with the road in a way that is both athletic and economical.
This guarantees faster acceleration, high agility and ride comfort together with improved fuel economy. A true wonder of engineering, the ground-breaking S tronic dual-clutch transmission has been a phenomenon ever since it was introduced in the Audi TT 3.2 quattro in spring 2003. It unites the advantages of a compact six-speed manual transmission with the traits of a contemporary automatic.
The driver therefore benefits from massive agility and driving pleasure with acceleration that is both united and active, without any detectable disturbance in the flow of power. This goes together with good economy due to low fuel utilization, and comfortable operation. The ultracompact S tronic with dual multi-plate clutch can at the same time preselect two gears.Read the entire article 2009 Audi S3 and S3 Sportback receive new S Tronic transmission
