Alpina is releasing a new limited edition model that is essentially a more powerful and more appealing re-creation of the BMW 4 Series. This is the new BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99, which would be sold either as a convertible and coupe versions, with deliveries set next year. As its name indicates, only 99 examples of the Edition 99 will be built.
This new BMW Alpina B4 S Biturbo Edition 99 is a limited edition model of the Alpina B4 S, which was derived from the BMW 4 Series. However, the B4 S is even more powerful and more dynamic than the high performance iteration of the 4 Series – the M4 Coupe. The Coupe version of the Edition 99 can be availed either as rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive (left-hand drive only). The Convertible model of the Edition, meanwhile, is configured as a rear-wheel drive.
While the 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged engine of the M4 delivers 431 hp of output, the 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six mill inside the B4 S offers up to 440 hp (324 kW). It also delivers 442 lb.-ft. (660 Nm) of torque, allowing the B4 S to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds for the standard rear-wheel-drive configuration, or 3.9 seconds with the all-wheel drive version.Read the entire article BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 is a more powerful limited edition B4 S
As expected, four years after the current generation of the BMW 4 Series was introduced in 2013 with the BMW 4 Series Coupe, the German premium carmaker is implementing a Life Cycle Impulse.
This is also known as a mid-cycle refresh. BMW gave the 3 Series an FCI in 2016, and this year it is the turn of the 4 Series.
What is good about this mid-cycle update is the fact that BMW is refreshing not only one model of the 4 Series, but all of them. BMW has revised the 4 Series Coupe, 4 Series Convertible, 4 Series Gran Coupe and the M4 for the 2017 model year.Read the entire article BMW 4 Series undergoes mid-cycle facelift for the 2017 model year
Last Friday BMW revealed the all-new 2-Series Coupe but it didn’t tell us about the cabriolet version. But, today, the Great Master of Photoshop a.k.a. Theophiluschin did its thing and showed us how the 2-Series Coupe (F23) will look like. Act surprised or not, this is how the real thing will look like.
The engines are expected to be the same found on the coupe version, which means that we will have the 220i Cabriolet that will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder in-line petrol engine with 184 hp and 270 Nm of torque.
Still, BMW will offer the 225d Cabrio with a 2.0-liter diesel engine rated at 218 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Same engine will be used on the 220d Cabrio (184 hp and 380 Nm of torque) and on the 218d Cabrio (143 hp and 320 Nm of torque).Read the entire article Rendered: 2014 BMW 2-Series Cabriolet (F23)
The all-new 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible finally made its debut ahead of the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. As expected, the car features the same design language seen n the 4-Series Coupe and promises to set new standards in terms of dynamics, elegance and driving pleasure. Comparing it with the outgoing 3-Series Convertible, the new 4-Series Cabrio is visibly larger in width, track and wheelbase.
The 4-Series Convertible features a three-piece retractable hardtop that is distinguished by advanced soundproofing with its “noise-absorbing” headliner. Inside seats feature integrated seatbelts and are electrically adjustable as standard.
Still, the standard seats and the optional sport seats with recessed head restraints can be equipped with neck warmers for the driver and front passenger. Just like the 4-Series Coupe, the 4-Series Convertible is available in the Sport, Modern and Luxury lines as well as with an M Sport Package.Read the entire article Official: Bmw introduces the 2014 4-Series Cabrio

The BMW 4-Series Convertible (F33) with Sport Line comes with high-gloss black exterior body features and the wrap-around window strip lend. As an option, BMW offers 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there is a contrast between black and red accents. The sports steering wheel features red contrast stitching, we find red trim rings in the inner circle of the instrument dials and optional coral red leather sport seats.Read the entire article Closer Look: 2014 BMW 4-Series Cabrio (F33) - Modern Line, Sport Line and Luxury Line

Last weekend we’ve witnessed the launch of the 2014 Bmw 4-Series Coupe and honestly to tell you we were impressed by the new design. Still, we still don’t know how the new Bmw 4-Series Cabrio will look like, but wonder no more as the first rendering with the new car based on the new design is here.
Thanks to PS-Garage we are able to see how the new Bmw 4-Series Cabriolet will look like. The new car is expected to debut later this year and just like the coupe it will be offered in the same versions as the coupe, which means we will see the 428i Cabriolet, the 420d Cabriolet and the 435i Cabriolet.
The Bmw 435i Cabriolet will be powered by the same 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line petrol engine delivering 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque, while the 428i Cabriolet will use the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine wth 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The 420d Cabriolet will use the 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with 184 hp and 380 Nm of torque.Read the entire article Rendered: 2014 Bmw 4-Series Cabriolet
The new BMW 4-series cabriolet was spotted while testing, indicating that it will keep the retractable hard-top roof of the present 3-series cabrio. BMW is being pressured to use a soft-top instead so that its look would be more visually different than the coupe model. But BMW has apparently chosen to retain the hard-top.
Similar to its coupe sibling, this latest 4-series cabriolet will get rid of the 3-series badge so that it could have a more distinct style and so that it could appear more exclusive over the staple 3-series saloon and estate models.
This new 4-series cabriolet is codenamed F33 and is expected to go on sale in the middle of 2014. It will probably raise its prices as its engines come from the higher-end of the new 3-series’ range and it offers a higher level of equipment. BMW will also be coming out with an M version of the 4-series cabriolet, which bears the codename F33M.Read the entire article Bmw 4-Series Cabriolet to get the same retractable hard-top roof from 3-Series Cabrio
The first images of the new BMW 4-Series Coupe and Cabrio have been released. Codenamed F32, this car is set to be launched in the middle of 2014 as part of a drastic shake-up of the new BMW 3-series range. BMW has chosen to name the coupe and cabriolet versions of the 3-series as 4-series in its next generation so that it could be greatly differentiated from the new BMW 3-Series saloon, which was revealed last week.
This is the same strategy used on the 5-series. The coupe and cabriolet versions of this car are categorized as 6-series, offering their own unique styling and driving experience.
The engines for the 4-series will be leaning towards the new lineup offered in the 3-series saloon, such as a new turbocharged 242bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit for the 428i coupe. The M3 is affected by the use of the 4-series name for the standard coupe. The M4 badge will be used for the coupe and cabriolet versions of the M3.Read the entire article Bmw working hard on the 4-Series (F32) Coupe and Cabriolet
German aftermarket developer AC Schnitzer is planning to unveil what it did to the BMW 650i Cabrio at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Its V8 engine, which has been enhanced from 407 to 540 hp, enables the car to go from zero to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds. AC Schnitzer equipped the vehicle with a modified suspension and a stronger braking system. In terms of aerodynamics, its front fascia has been restyled.
It has a new rear skirt and it comes with a loading lip protection film. It features 21-inch lightweight alloy rims that are covered in high-performance tires. Its interior gets a boost with a new steering wheel, aluminum pedal, velour floor mats and even new trimming.
Aerodynamics and all out driving pleasure are not mutually exclusive, as shown by cars that have recently come out. And the 2012 BMW 6-Series Cabrio is proof of that.Read the entire article AC Schnitzer modifies the 2012 Bmw 6-Series Cabrio
Although the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show will open its doors next week, Hamann decided that it can’t keep the surprise anymore and showed us a preview of its customization program for the 2012 Bmw 6-Series Cabrio. As you can see from the photos, the car comes with a new front spoiler with integrated daytime running lights, new side sills, a new rear trunk spoiler as well as a new rear bumper with new air inlets and integrated air diffuser.
The design is completed by the new 21-inch Anniversary Evo wheels but also by the new exhaust system. Still, Haman also offers the Edition Race Anonized wheels, showing matte black anodised spokes and titanium bolts.
Regarding the engine of the vehicle, this will be boosted to an impressive 510 hp. Of course, we are talking about the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine (650i) that delivers 300 kW/407 hp and an impressive 600 Nm of torque in the standard form.Read the entire article 2011 Frankfurt Preview: 2012 Bmw 6-Series by Hamann
Tuning group Hamann got a hold of the newly designed 2012 BMW 650i convertible and gave it several tweaks to make it sportier. The drop-top is offered in two different designs. The “Anodized” race edition design features a set of 21-inch alloy wheels, a high-gloss and chrome-plated rim flange with offset black spokes and titanium screws, and 20-inch matte black wheels.
Those who prefer something more subtle would probably go for the “Anniversay Evo” design, which features wheels in silver or matte black in 20-inch or 21-inch size.
To boost its sporty look, Hamann gave the model some aluminum pedals and a footrest to replace the black rubber factory ones. This lends an appearance that’s more high-performance and it also gives a better grip. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and it has an output of 400hp and 450 pound-feet of torque.Read the entire article Preview: 2012 Bmw 6-Series Cabriolet by Hamann
Besides the expansion of its Mini dealerships, BMW will be coming out with four new 1-series versions that have been speculated to be under development for the next generation model which has been revealed as the F20, and this is above the typical coupe and hatch that are already being manufactured. Included in the new versions are a new Coupe and Cabrio, a GT-style Estate and a crossover-like vehicle sporting a Y1 badge.
Also set for the production lines are theZ2 roadster variant and a small coupe variant of the Z2. To bring the vehicle to market now does not only make sense from the point of view of the customer but also for competitive purposes.
It is likewise reported that VW will be going ahead with the BlueSport Roadster, which is said to be sharing its platform with entry-level Porsche and Audi roadsters. At this stage, the GT-style Estate and the crossover-like version remain in the realm of possibilities, and have not yet received any authorization. Also included in the speculation is a four-door sedan-profile vehicle on the 1-series platform.Read the entire article Bmw preparing four new 1-Series versions
It was just last year that Touring Superleggera unveiled the Superleggera Sciadipersia coupe at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, a few years after the company launched the Disco Volante Spyder. Now, the 2019 Geneva Motor Show is playing host to the unwrapping of the roofless version of the Superleggera Sciadipersia coupe – the Sciadipersia Cabriolet.
As to why Touring Superleggera opted to create a version of the Superleggera Sciadipersia without a rood, Piero Mancardi, the carmaker’s chief executive officer, remarked that after launching the coupe last year, there has been pressure from new customers to develop an open top version. But since, Touring Superleggera has an undertaking with existing customers to keep its products exclusive, the carmaker decided to maintain the production run of just 15 examples. Now customers can choose whether to order Coupe or Cabriolet version.
An open-top grand tourer, the Touring Sciadipersia Cabriolet allows it occupants – up to four – to enjoy the thrill of an open air ride in supreme comfort, with the driver experiencing great pleasure in harnessing the immense power from its powerful V8 engine.Read the entire article Touring Superleggera unveils Sciadipersia Cabriolet at 2019 Geneva Motor Show
It has been three and a half years since BMW unveiled the sixth generation of the BMW 7 Series. Thus, it is really about to give the 7 Series a major revision for the 2020 model year. In fact, it is only a matter of time when the sixth-gen 7 Series will be launch into the market as BMW has finally took off the veil of its revised full-size sedan.
Compared to its immediate predecessor, the 2020 BMW 7 Series seems like an all-new model in terms of looks. The most apparent exterior revision made to the new 7 Series is its significantly larger BMW kidney grille. In fact its single-piece frame has grown by around 40 percent. In the United States, the bars of the Active Kidney Grille are finished in aluminum satin.
Furthermore, the front end of the new 2020 BMW 7 Series is now two inches taller at its highest point. These revisions make the new 7 Series look more visually powerful on the road.Read the entire article Heavily revised 2020 BMW 7 Series looks more luxuriously dominant
More than a month ago since introducing the BMW X7 to the global public, the German premium carmaker has unveiled its flagship SUV to the North American audience at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. This is quite ironic since the BMW X7 is built at the carmaker’s Spartanburg manufacturing site in South Carolina.
There is quite no need to tell all the details about the new BMW X7. Nonetheless, the X7 that will soon arrive in the United States will be available in two guises, powered only by petrol engines. As what BMW has revealed, the X7 SUV will be offered either as the X7 xDrive40i or the X7 xDrive50i. The BMW X7 xDrive40i has a core in the persona of a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six engine. This mill is tuned to deliver 335 hp (250 kW) of max output as well as 330 lb.-ft. (447 Nm). This power is enough for the xDrive40i to accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 5.8 seconds.
On the other hand, BMW is offering a more powerful version of the X7 SUV, which would be an ideal fit for customers who wanted to squeeze more performance from the flagship. The BMW X7 xDrive50i will be powered by a newly developed twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that can deliver 456 hp (340 kW) of max motive power as well as 479 lb.-ft. (649 Nm) of peak torque. This engine can send the X7 xDrive50i sprinting from nil to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.2 seconds, or around 0.6 seconds quicker than the X7 xDrive40i.Read the entire article 2018 LA Auto Show: BMW X7 flagship SUV makes its debut in North America
BMW’s European customers who are looking forward to have a new range extender version of the 2019 BMW i3 (BMW i3 REx) will have to bear a bad news from the German premium carmaker. They won't be able to get a new one as BMW will stop producing and offering the i3 REx in Europe starting 2019 model year.
It should be noted that BMW still listed the i3 REx in the 2019 model year specification, although its Web site aren’t offering any information about the ranger extender version anymore. This has led to confusion, with many still assuming that that REx version of the i3 would still be available for the upcoming model year. To an extent, there is some truth to this, since while the 2019 BMW i3 REx will be discontinued in Europe, it will still be offered in the United States.
At first glance, it may seem odd that BMW would discontinue the range extender version of the i3, after all the REx had accounted for 60 percent of the model’s sales, despite being around £,3150 more expensive than a standard i3, which is pure electric. However, the true appeal of the i3 REx isn't really the combination of electric motors and a range-extending two-cylinder 650-cc petrol engine to provide additional charge to the drive battery. The true charm of the i3 REx lies on fact that it allows its driver to travel more distance even when the battery pack has reached a certain low charge.Read the entire article BMW i3 REx to be discontinued for 2019 model year in Europe
BMW calls the new 8 Series Coupe as the redefinition of the sports car. A more powerful performance version is expected to follow soon in the persona of the BMW M8. But if you think the M8 isn't sporty and hot enough to suit your exacting preferences, you can rely on this rumor mill: a much hotter BMW M8 Competition is on the radar.
The BMW M8 Competition rumor came to life following a closed BMW event in Paris, as attended only by selected VIP customers. This event was meant to provide these VIP customers a glimpse of upcoming models. Expectedly, no one was allowed to use their cell phones, as BMW wouldn’t want the images or slides shared during the event to spread publicly. Nonetheless, one of the attendees was able to relate his experience during the event to BMW Blog.
As reported by BMW Blog, the VIP attendee revealed that BMW M is planning to create a Competition package for the BMW M8. This revelation, however, wasn’t really surprising considering the fact that BMW M also created the BMW M5 Competition. The attendee went on to describe the looks of the upcoming M8 Competition.Read the entire article BMW M8 Competition is rumored to arrive after launch of BMW M8
After revealing the coupe version of the 2019 BMW 8 Series, the German premium carmaker is introducing its convertible version. The 2019 BMW 8 Series Convertible is essentially the Coupe with its roof chopped off, with some modifications made to make way for its electrically folding soft top. BMW will unveil the new 8 Series Convertible to the global public at the Los Angeles Auto Show this month.
In terms of appearance, the 2019 BMW 8 Series Convertible is almost identical to the 8 Series Coupe, aside from the fact that the latter’s hard top has been removed and replaced by an electrically folding soft top. This top can be fully deployed in just 15 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph (48 km/h). It takes the same amount of time and vehicle speed to remove the soft top down.
Once the soft is down, it is stowed underneath a rear deck which stitching is matched to the instrument panel and door panels. In addition, the cover for the 2019 BMW 8 Series Convertible comes with subtle nacelles evoking the double-bubble roof design of the Coupe. To ensure that less wind enters the cabin when the soft top is down, the 2019 BMW 8 Series Convertible comes fitted with standard wind deflector as located behind the front seats.Read the entire article New BMW 8 Series Convertible is set to arrive in the US in March 2019
Mercedes-Benz commenced production of the X-Class pickup truck (2018 model year) in 2017, thereby entering the luxury pickup segment. Many expected BMW to follow suit, but until now the German premium carmaker remains unmoved for calls to make its own pickup truck. Thus, seeing a BMW pickup even in concept form would be a farfetched idea; but not with X-Tomi.
An automotive graphic designer who has released a number of amazing automotive renditions, X-Tomi has delved into a more interesting project in the guise of a BMW X7 pickup truck. All X-Tomi needed to do was to have an image of the newly unveiled BMW X7 sports utility vehicle, chopped off its rear end, and added a bed. This sounds simple, but the entire rendition process is really complicated. In the end, X-Tomi proved that a BMW pickup –as derived from an X7 SUV – does look elegant and utilitarian.
Nonetheless, X-Tomi’s rendition of a BMW X7 pickup is all hypothetical as the German luxury carmaker recently confirmed that it has no plans to go compete with Mercedes in the luxury pickup segment. Likewise, a new pickup derived from the X7 would mean it would be underpinned by a body-on-frame chassis that usually serves as the platform for pickups.Read the entire article BMW X7 SUV rendered as a luxurious pickup truck by X-Tomi
