Heavily revised 2020 BMW 7 Series looks more luxuriously dominant

It has been three and a half years since BMW unveiled the sixth generation of the BMW 7 Series. Thus, it is really about to give the 7 Series a major revision for the 2020 model year. In fact, it is only a matter of time when the sixth-gen 7 Series will be launch into the market as BMW has finally took off the veil of its revised full-size sedan.

Compared to its immediate predecessor, the 2020 BMW 7 Series seems like an all-new model in terms of looks. The most apparent exterior revision made to the new 7 Series is its significantly larger BMW kidney grille. In fact its single-piece frame has grown by around 40 percent. In the United States, the bars of the Active Kidney Grille are finished in aluminum satin.

Furthermore, the front end of the new 2020 BMW 7 Series is now two inches taller at its highest point. These revisions make the new 7 Series look more visually powerful on the road.

2018 BMW 2 Series Active Tourer gets subtle facelift, now offered with 7-speed, dual-clutch Steptronic gearbox

BMW’s 2 Series Active Tourer finally gets its first ever mid-cycle update, and if we could describe the facelift in one word, we would say that it was very “discreet”. This minivan isn’t just the first for BMW, but it also marks their first attempt to do a front wheel drive too.

Both variants, namely the five seater 2 Series Active Tourer, as well as the seven seat Gran Tourer, will be getting the new paint scheme of Jucaro Beige and Sunset Orange, together with the six new options for alloy wheels that vary in size from 17 to 19 inches.

When looking at it from the outside, the changes are very hard to see, which is why we are going to point them out for you. First, the LED headlights have a more hexagonal shape like the new BMW models, while the rear features light emitting diodes that exhibit different graphics. The kidney grille, single-piece air intake, and LED fog lamps are also new here.

2018 BMW 1-Series Facelift revisions are so subtle you might not spot them

BMW has given the 2018 1-Series a facelift, and they have just released a ton of new photos and a couple of videos to show us what it’s got. Nevertheless, the people at BMW continue to remind us of the three- and five-door, rear-wheel-drive model from Bavaria that is available in three-, four-, and six-cylinder powertrains if the upgrades do not interest you. Now, going back to the all-new 1 Series, the Mini-like hatchback will have a front-wheel-drive setup this time.

The range-topping trim of the 1 Series will be getting a turbocharged 2.0 liter engine under its hood, where it can bring out 300 horsepower. This is quite a downgrade from the previous model year which has a turbocharged 3.0 liter inline-six, that produces 340 horsepower (250 kilowatts) and 500 Newton-metres (368 pound-feet) of torque like the M140i. Plus, the older model has a sweet-sounding soundtrack, while the facelifted model will be more silent.

The current 1 Series may start to show its age already based on how it physically looks; however, its engine still seems better than that of the facelifted model. A new M140i is on its way, though it might have a smaller engine that will be paired with the xDrive.

2018 BMW 2-Series Facelift gets all-new interior and a few exciting exterior upgrades

BMW had just launched the 2018 2-Series Coupe and Cabrio Facelift and M2 Facelift, now with subtle changes both in and outside. Seems like the 2 Series is following the footsteps of its bigger brother, the newly refreshed 4 Series.

One of the most noticeable changes would be the new bi-LED headlights, that now come standard across the range. The new headlights and clusters were designed in a hexagon-like “angel eyes” shape that replaces the rounder layout of the previous models. Customers also have an option to go for an adaptive full-LED setup for an additional cost.

The pair of kidney grilles are now larger, as well as the air intakes for a more aggressive face. Though the rear end looks untouched, BMW says that the standard taillights got a nip and tuck. To complete the new look of the 2 Series, customers get to choose from three new colours including Sunset Orange, Seaside Blue, and Mediterranean Blue. Plus there are four sets of alloy wheels that they can choose from - two sets of 17-inch wheels while the other two measure 18-inches.

The facelifted iteration of the BMW M2 (model year 2018) has yet to be unfurled to the public, and yet we now have seen it – thanks to a purported and momentarily leak at one of its Web sites.

According to Bimmer Today, images of the new BMW M2 – now receiving a facelift – appeared on the Belgian Web site of BMW. That makes the images official, but only for a moment since BMW reacted quickly and took them down. However, Bimmer Today was faster and it was able to take grab the images and distribute them. This allowed interested parties, including fans and enthusiasts, to take a closer look at the face-lifted version of the BMW M2. If you recall, its current generation was unveiled in 2015 and was launched for the model year 2016. Moreover, from the leak, we learned that there have been no changes on the engine power output and torque.

BMW is calling the 2018 model of the M2 as a facelift, although it would take a very keen eye or a true fan to detect the cosmetic changes. You can take a closer look at the new 2018 M2 and try to spot the modifications made. If you haven’t seen them, we’ll point them out for you: some work has been done on the lighting units both on the front and the rear.

The F80 generation of the BMW M3 will be getting its second Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) for the 2018 model year. To explain it further, Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) is BMW’s term for a mid-cycle refresh or simply a facelift. This means that we would be seeing the BMW M3 with some updates on its look when it is released for the 2018 model year.

It is fairly easy to tell which part of the 2018 BMW M3 has been updated. After all, it is the lone most obvious visual tweak implemented on the face-lifted 2018 BMW M3 LCI II. At a glance, the headlights of the 2018 BMW M3 seem familiar – this is because these lamp units are the ones found on the visually updated 2017 BMW M4 LCI. This means that the new BMW M3 now features newly designed adaptive full-LED headlights, which could cast their beam in the direction of the curve to ensure better visibility at night. The new headlight graphics and design makes use of extra LED bars that help highlight the connection between the BMW M3’s kidney grille and its light units. Apart from newly designed headlights, there are no other major visual tweaks implemented. Everything remains the same aside from the new headlights.

There are some visual tweaks implemented inside the 2018 BMW M3 LCI II. Now, the illuminated M3 logos on the seats of the driver and the front passenger now feature a fresher design. Just like on the exterior, other sections inside the cabin remain as they are. In addition, the 2018 BMW M3 LCI II won’t feature any performance updates. This means that BMW didn’t do anything for the engine and other complementary components.

As expected, four years after the current generation of the BMW 4 Series was introduced in 2013 with the BMW 4 Series Coupe, the German premium carmaker is implementing a Life Cycle Impulse.

This is also known as a mid-cycle refresh. BMW gave the 3 Series an FCI in 2016, and this year it is the turn of the 4 Series.

What is good about this mid-cycle update is the fact that BMW is refreshing not only one model of the 4 Series, but all of them. BMW has revised the 4 Series Coupe, 4 Series Convertible, 4 Series Gran Coupe and the M4 for the 2017 model year.

As a result, it introduced the new Z4 Facelift and announced that it will bring the car in January, at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Still, you will need some eagle eyes to see the differences between this and the outgoing model as the Bavarian manufacturer applied some subtle changes.

First of all, we have modified front and rear bumpers, but don’t expect something fancy. As expected, the front bumper features LED daytime running lights now. Moreover, the new Z4 features three new body colours available exclusively with the Design Pure Traction option, which is also new. The facelifted Bmw 3-Series Sedan and Station Wagon were up-rated by AC Schnitzer with a number of artistic and performance components, plus an impressive new front spoiler. The company based in Aachen asserts that the fresh artistic look puts an accent on dynamics and that "instead of bulky curves, straight and slender forms are used."

In addition, in reverence to Bmw's race cars, the front spoiler elements finish at the base in a sharp "bow". Considering performance and handling improvements, AC Schnitzer employs its own suspension kits to make the car quicker around cubs than the production version.

This comprises a fresh suspension spring kit, as well as the choice of either sports suspension or racing suspension tunes. For those with cash to spare, AC Schnitzer suggests availing of the extra sports antiroll bar and strut brace kit for the front and rear to further enhance handling.

More than a month ago since introducing the BMW X7 to the global public, the German premium carmaker has unveiled its flagship SUV to the North American audience at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. This is quite ironic since the BMW X7 is built at the carmaker’s Spartanburg manufacturing site in South Carolina.

There is quite no need to tell all the details about the new BMW X7. Nonetheless, the X7 that will soon arrive in the United States will be available in two guises, powered only by petrol engines. As what BMW has revealed, the X7 SUV will be offered either as the X7 xDrive40i or the X7 xDrive50i. The BMW X7 xDrive40i has a core in the persona of a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six engine. This mill is tuned to deliver 335 hp (250 kW) of max output as well as 330 lb.-ft. (447 Nm). This power is enough for the xDrive40i to accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 5.8 seconds.

On the other hand, BMW is offering a more powerful version of the X7 SUV, which would be an ideal fit for customers who wanted to squeeze more performance from the flagship. The BMW X7 xDrive50i will be powered by a newly developed twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that can deliver 456 hp (340 kW) of max motive power as well as 479 lb.-ft. (649 Nm) of peak torque. This engine can send the X7 xDrive50i sprinting from nil to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.2 seconds, or around 0.6 seconds quicker than the X7 xDrive40i.
