Alpina is releasing a new limited edition model that is essentially a more powerful and more appealing re-creation of the BMW 4 Series. This is the new BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99, which would be sold either as a convertible and coupe versions, with deliveries set next year. As its name indicates, only 99 examples of the Edition 99 will be built.
This new BMW Alpina B4 S Biturbo Edition 99 is a limited edition model of the Alpina B4 S, which was derived from the BMW 4 Series. However, the B4 S is even more powerful and more dynamic than the high performance iteration of the 4 Series – the M4 Coupe. The Coupe version of the Edition 99 can be availed either as rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive (left-hand drive only). The Convertible model of the Edition, meanwhile, is configured as a rear-wheel drive.
While the 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged engine of the M4 delivers 431 hp of output, the 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six mill inside the B4 S offers up to 440 hp (324 kW). It also delivers 442 lb.-ft. (660 Nm) of torque, allowing the B4 S to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds for the standard rear-wheel-drive configuration, or 3.9 seconds with the all-wheel drive version.Read the entire article BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 is a more powerful limited edition B4 S
If you are looking for an awesome car, look no further than the BMW M4. But if you want something more exclusive than that, then you can opt for the Alpina-tuned 4 Series as this will definitely turn heads wherever you go.
Alpina has prepared a kit that isn’t just about the car’s looks as its performance will also be given a boost albeit, not by much. It gets a raise of 9 PS (9 horsepower) and 56 Newton metres (41 pound feet) of torque. The Alpina B4 S Bi Turbo carries out a little more power than the stock M4, thanks to its straight-six 3.0 liter engine. That may not sound a lot, but overall, that totals to an impressive number of 440 PS (434 HP) and 660 Nm (487 pound-feet) of torque in a wide speed range from 5,500 to 6,250 rpm.
For those of you who are interested in this Alpina tuned 4 Series, the white model is on display at BMW Abu Dhabi dealership. The special body kit comes with a custom front splitter, side skirts, and boot lid spoiler. It also has multi-spoke alloys and blue calipers, plus decals from the tuner.Read the entire article Alpina B4 S Bi-turbo is a cooler version than the BMW M4
Customers who think the BMW 4 Series Coupe is rather ordinary are in for a treat especially with what BMW Individual and Alpina have in store. The best example is presently being displayed at BMW Abu Dhabi Motors, a dealer that looks to be getting the best toys to play around with.
Even with one look, the use of Rallye Green paint on the Alpina B4 S makes the body even more aggressive. Combined with the upgrades implemented by those at Buchloe, it is clear that this is not your standard 4 Series Coupe.
On the inside for example, BMW Individual made sure that the interior of the B4 S would be different from the usual 4 Series Coupe. The instrument cluster has blue dials with the steering wheel showing green stitching. This color theme is in fact the same as that on the exterior. While the usual 4 Series Coupe has a left air vent on its center console, the B4 S instead has an extra display. On the lower region of the console is a special plaque that proves this is not the usual car.Read the entire article 2017 Alpina B4 S Rallye Green based on BMW 4-Series Coupe is the height of exclusivity
For many, a dream car shouldn’t be just spacious and luxurious, but also fast and furious. The BMW M3 might be just this kind of dream car, but an M version of the 4-Series Gran Coupe would still be a better choice. But to no avail, an M4 Gran Coupe isn't happening yet, even after the 4 Series just recently received a Life Cycle Impulse (mid-cycle update).
BMW Abu Dhabi – which describes itself as an exclusive importer for BMW, MINI and BMW ALPINA in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, United Arab Emirates – has come up with a modified version of a 4-Series Gran Coupe that could be the closest thing we could get to an M4 Gran Coupe. BMW Abu Dhabi has been known for its knack in creating leveled-up versions of a typical BMW vehicle, and this latest custom-build isn't an exception.
BMW Abu Dhabi started off with a regular BMW 440i Gran Coupe. Wrapped in elegant yet sporty Snapper Rocks Blue paint finish, this 440i Gran Coupe is hugged by athletic body kit from M Performance – from its bottom to the top. Its black kidney grilles features M-colored vertical stripes on the front while its rear end features M Performance trunk lid spoiler, as complemented by an Akrapovic exhaust system with an Akrapovic Sport downpipe. Furthermore, this custom-built BMW 440i Gran Coupe rides on 20-inch M Performance wheels. Its driver is treated to an M Performance steering wheel; except for this, the interior of this new 440i Gran Coupe remains the same when it was delivered from the factory.Read the entire article BMW Abu Dhabi wraps Snapper Rocks Blue 440i Gran Coupe in M4-like guise
There are already rumors suggesting that the next generation BMW 5-Series GT is expected to be joining the 6-Series range. The latest reports instead tell us that that 3-Series GT will also be transitioning to the next level. Are any of these true?
Autocar reported earlier that this is actually what BMW has in store for the upcoming 3-Series GT. It should be noted though that the current 3-Series line has had its mid-cycle refresh only recently. In that case, the 4-Series GT or what is believed to be its new successor may be way too far ahead.
If ever, the new member of the 4-Series family should arrive sometime in 2019 as a 2020 year model. According to the insider, BMW by that time should come out with better-performing EVs and it only makes sense if they will be offering an electric version of this as well. At the very least, BMW is expected to come out with an electric X3 within the next three years.Read the entire article Will the all-electric BMW 4-Series GT be a real rival for the Tesla Model S?
It seems like BMW will be implementing a major overhaul of its strategy, which should result to the arrival of electrified versions of its three current models. One of these models would be an electric variant of the upcoming BMW 4 Series GT, according to a report by Autocar.
Citing people privy with BMW’s plans, Autocar reported that the new 4 Series GT is planned to directly replace the current BMW 3 Series GT and indirectly supplant the 4 Series Gran Coupé, which has been experiencing low demand since its inception. This strategy would be similar to a plan involving the BMW 6 Series GT, which is set to replace the BMW 5 Series GT in the lineup this year. BMW is planning to launch an electric version of the 6 Series GT in 2018.
Meanwhile, for the new 4 Series GT, the German premium carmaker will introduce the conventionally powered versions in 2019, to be followed by electric and plug-in hybrid variants. To be underpinned by newly developed platform for the eighth-generation 3 Series, the electric version of the 4 Series GT – set to compete against the Tesla Model 3 -- could be up for sale as early as 2020 in the United Kingdom. According to the report, the performance level of the electrically powered 4 Series GT would be more or less similar to the top-performing version of the current 3 Series GT – the BMW 335d GT, which offers the 317 bhp of max output and 630 Nm of peak torque. This means that the electric motor system for the battery-powered 4 Series GT should have a total system output of around 350 bhp to match the performance of the top BMW 335d GT.Read the entire article BMW is rumored to be planning EV variant of new 4 Series GT
What defines a coupe? Well, according to the dictionary, “it is a car with a fixed roof and two doors”. Ok, now that it is clear, when does one not become a coupe? In this case, it is when it is a BMW Gran Coupe. You might think I’m confusing you here, but read along.
The 4 Series Gran Coupe was built with four doors and a liftback-style truck on its rear end. That simple description of the model will already raise several brows as it doesn’t correspond with the definition stated above. And if you think about it, its actually just a functional sedan. Now you get where I’m coming from. Though the car doesn’t match the name given to it, it is actually one of BMW’s best selling cars, out-selling the two-door coupe where it got its inspiration.
In fact, despite its later release, the total number of Gran Coupe that has been sold is higher than the figures of the traditional Coupe and the Convertible, combined - according to sales statistics shared by BMW. Globally, the Grand Coupe covers 54 percent of all 4 Series sales, whereas the remaining 46 percent is a shared by the traditional coupe and convertible.Read the entire article BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe sells better than the Coupe and Convertible

First off, BMW will unveil the next generation of the BMW 5 Series Touring (G30) in Geneva. This will be the second body variant of the new generation of the 5 Series, after the sedan version. It also features a 40:20:40 split/folding rear seat backrest and an electric remote backrest release, as well as an automatic tailgate operation. The new 5 Series Touring is touted to be around 100 kg lighter than its predecessor.
At launch, the touring body variant of the BMW 5 Series will be available in four versions -- BMW 530i Touring (252 hp 2.0 liter petrol engine), BMW 540i xDrive Touring (340 hp 3.0 liter petrol engine), BMW 520d Touring (190 hp 2.0 liter diesel engine) and BMW 530d Touring/ BMW 530d xDrive Touring (265 hp 3.0 liter diesel engine). As expected, four years after the current generation of the BMW 4 Series was introduced in 2013 with the BMW 4 Series Coupe, the German premium carmaker is implementing a Life Cycle Impulse.
This is also known as a mid-cycle refresh. BMW gave the 3 Series an FCI in 2016, and this year it is the turn of the 4 Series.
What is good about this mid-cycle update is the fact that BMW is refreshing not only one model of the 4 Series, but all of them. BMW has revised the 4 Series Coupe, 4 Series Convertible, 4 Series Gran Coupe and the M4 for the 2017 model year.Read the entire article BMW 4 Series undergoes mid-cycle facelift for the 2017 model year

It was in 1960 when Burkard Bovensiepen began the foundation with the performance-enhanced version of the BMW 1500. Since then it has been developed to become what is now a permanent fixture under the luxury sports car segment. At that time, Burkard Bovensiepen had the petrol-powered four-cylinder engines having the Weber dual carburetors.
This was considered as a cutting-edge product at the time and marketed through the Alpina. Presently, these products are now integrated to high-tech autos. Fitted at the beginning and combined with the best genes that BMW can offer, they symbolize the best when it comes to comfort, driving culture, performance, and efficiency. Indeed, the new BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo models are able to put all of these qualities together.

Ok, we have to admit that we already knew a Gran Coupe version of the BMW 4-Series was coming but today, the first patent drawings emerged on the Web. Set to take on cars such as the Audi A5 Sportback, the new BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe will probably be introduced in March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Regarding the design, the front and rear design is the same seen on the 4-Series Coupe, but the model is expected to use a longer wheelbase in order to offer more space for the rear passengers. Just like the coupe, we expect to see the 4-Series Gran Coupe in three equipment combinations – Sport Line, Modern Line and Luxury Line - but also with a stylish M Sport Package for those who want even more.
Under the hood, we will see only engines that use the BMW Twin Power Turbo technology. This means that the 435i Gran Coupe will use a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line petrol engine rated at 306 hp (225 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The 428i Gran Coupe will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine developing 245 hp (180 kW) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm (258 lb-ft).Read the entire article BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe revealed in leaked patent drawings
The Association of German Vehicle Tuners (VDAT), in cooperation with BMW AG, will launch a special concept car this year, in line with its "TUNE IT! SAFE!" initiative. The initiative is supported by the Police and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Construction and Road Development. Just like previous editions, VDAT is launching a specially modified vehicle, which this year is based on the BMW 428i Coupé, as mostly tuned by BMW tuning specialist AC Schnitzer. The result is the AC Schnitzer "ACS4 2.8i Coupé." AC Schnitzer tuned the 2.8i engine to 216 kW/294 HP and 420 Nm, allowing police vehicle to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. It features a AC Schnitzer twin sports rear silencer made of stainless steel with the chromed "Evo Racing" tailpipe trims.
The ACS4 2.8i Coupé also features the AC Schnitzer Type VIII Lightweight Forged Wheels in 9.0J x 21" donning "Ventus S1evo" tyres in 245/30 ZR 21 91Y from TUNE IT! SAFE! chief sponsor Hankook. Ensuring the police car’s low, safe road position is AC Schnitzer’s racing suspension that is adjustable in compression and rebound stages. The police car also features other aerodynamic elements like front spoiler, rear diffuser, rear spoiler and rear roof spoiler.
Moving inside the cabin, driving policemen are treated to aluminum pedals, foot rest and "Black Line" handbrake handle as well as a new key holder. Completing cabin’s looks are Velours floor mats. To turn the BMW visually into a "true" police car, TUNE IT! SAFE! partner FOLIATEC provided the official film decor, with Hella providing the special signalling system RTK 7. The TUNE IT! SAFE! campaign vehicle will be unveiled at the Essen Motor Show on the VDAT stand No. F 104 in Hall 10 from November 29 to December 8, 2013. After that, it will be showcased in other shows across Germany.Read the entire article AC Schnitzer ACS4 2.8i Coupe is the 2013 Tune It! Safe! car
