It has been three and a half years since BMW unveiled the sixth generation of the BMW 7 Series. Thus, it is really about to give the 7 Series a major revision for the 2020 model year. In fact, it is only a matter of time when the sixth-gen 7 Series will be launch into the market as BMW has finally took off the veil of its revised full-size sedan.
Compared to its immediate predecessor, the 2020 BMW 7 Series seems like an all-new model in terms of looks. The most apparent exterior revision made to the new 7 Series is its significantly larger BMW kidney grille. In fact its single-piece frame has grown by around 40 percent. In the United States, the bars of the Active Kidney Grille are finished in aluminum satin.
Furthermore, the front end of the new 2020 BMW 7 Series is now two inches taller at its highest point. These revisions make the new 7 Series look more visually powerful on the road.Read the entire article Heavily revised 2020 BMW 7 Series looks more luxuriously dominant
With all the issues going around the automotive industry, car makers have to be more mindful of their moves, especially when it comes to the development and production of cars.
Like now, European spec cars had just been given a new set of requirements, and this will mean a production shutdown for BMW’s flagship 7 Series sedan for an entire year. To be more specific, this shutdown really only affects gas powered vehicles, and diesel engine will still be produced. This is quite an odd thing considering that diesel variants have a reputation of being the more polluted engines, especially with the Volkswagen’s Dieselgate scandal.
The decision to shut down engines began when the new requirements of the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (also known as WLTP) were implemented. These rules began in 2017 after new forms of emissions testing has been done, and apparently, these are a better way to measure vehicle emission in real world driving.Read the entire article BMW will halt production of gasoline-powered 7 Series
What could be the weirdest thing you could dress your car in? Well, we have seen models wrapped with Louis Vuitton x Supreme sticker, and there was one with French fry livery from last year or so. But we’re willing to bet there is no other car design that will astound you more -- the smiling poop emoji. Yes, you got that right, someone’s BMW 7 Series is wrapped with the smiling poop emoji that we use when chatting to express dissatisfaction. Who would have ever thought it would one day be used to dress a car up?
This was the doing of X Carwrapping, as it recently dressed this BMW 740E in a sticker that is coloured mostly in dark brown poop emojis. We’re thinking that this was done to demand the attention of a generation whose lives are centered on social media and the internet. When we first saw these images, we didn’t know how to react. However, there was a consensus that it was disturbing at the very least.
Now, you are probably wondering who asked for this commission. Well, it was a popular rapper born in Poland named Mr. Polska. We’re not surprised, who other than a rapper would drive a BMW 7 series covered in poop emojis in public.Read the entire article Polish rapper’s BMW 740E is astonishingly wrapped in smiling poop emojis
The new BMW 740e iPerformance certainly has an edge with the luxury it offers as well as the fuel efficiency it gives. However, those who are already thinking of buying one may want to wait a bit as the 2019 model year of the sedan comes with a handful of major upgrades.
According to BMW Blog, their sources told them that the upcoming 740e iPerformance will have a 2.0 liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine, together with batteries with a higher energy density and a new electric motor. Though there haven’t been any valid specifications yet, reports say that the model will produce around 390 horsepower (290 kilowatts), while also having a longer electric-only range.
Similar to the 530 iPerformance, the updated model will likely have a wireless charging system. Its name could also be changed to 745e iPerformance.Read the entire article Upgrades on 2019 BMW 740e iPerformance include 390 hp engine, longer electric-only range
Japanese aftermarket tuner Wald International’s latest project in the Black Bison line of body kits focuses on the BMW 7 Series. In these images, we see the large German sedan with the new pieces of Wald on both the front and the rear end. Having said that, the model will surely turn a lot of heads with these unusual revisions.
Apart from the aforementioned front and rear bumpers that are part of the Black Bison kit, there are also side sills, as well as new wheels and an aftermarket exhaust that can be added to the BMW 7 Series.
Up front, the most noticeable feature would be the L-shaped intakes on both sides, with a vertical array of LEDs as opposed to the horizontal ones on the stock G12. Both corners also get small, square-shaped inlets at each side, as well as a rectangular opening with horizontal slats in the center. A slim black lip also underlines the vehicle’s front bumpers.Read the entire article Wald International Black Bison body kit for the BMW 7 Series (G11/G12) is polarizing
Those of you who have been to the Middle East are probably used to seeing flashy cars. And when I say flashy cars, I don’t just mean expensive models, but I’m specifically talking about the colours painted on them and the interesting interiors they have. A handful of these cars are from BMW and their dealership in Abu Dhabi.
The newest one that made headlines would be the BMW 750Li. Though it is not a flagship model of the new 7 Series, it still offers an impressive performance. In as quick as 4.5 seconds, it is capable of hitting 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour). That comes from its V8 engine that carries out 445 horsepower and 650 Newton metres (479 pound feet) of torque. It also has a top speed of 155 miles per hour. The performance of this car is perfect for countries like the United States and Germany where speed is a big factor for choosing a car.
In this case, we are not only impressed by the 750Li’s performance, but also with its unique paint job, as it is finished in a cool Atlantis Blue that was customised by none other than BMW Individual. This is not actually the first time that we have seen this colour, as it had been applied to other BMWs in the past - like a couple of M3s and M4s. What makes it unique on a 750Li is the fact that customers usually stick to default colours like black, grey, or white in the 7 Series, and it is quite rare to see one in a bright blue shade.Read the entire article Seen in Abu Dhabi: Stunning BMW 750Li painted in Atlantis Blue with contrasting red interior
It was in February 2016 when we first saw the actual BMW 740e, and rumours quickly spread that it will have a short life cycle. But sources now say that the plug-in hybrid fullsize sedan will retire next year to give way to a new 745e. In fact, this model was just at the 2017 SEMA Show to display a wide range of M Performance parts. Hopefully, there will be a more powerful model and there will be an electric car with more range. However, so far there has been no confirmation.
Currently, the outgoing 740e comes with a turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower. It is then paired with an electric motor with another 111 horsepower. Overall, the electrified 7 Series can carry out a total of 322 horsepower and 369 pound-feet (500 Newton metres) of torque. When combined with the engine, the 740e develops a peak torque at 1,250 rpm. In only 5.1 seconds, the 740e can accelerate to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) before hitting its maximum speed of 130 miles per hour (209 kilometers per hour).
While we don’t expect dramatic changes, we’re excited to see what the new 745e has to offer. But what we would really like to improve is the current electric range of just 14 miles provided by the 9.2 kilowatt hour lithium ion battery pack that is recharged via a standard J1772 3.7 kW plug. We anticipate that extending the range will really drum up sales for the series.Read the entire article BMW is rumoured to be working on new 745e model and X5 xDrive45e hybrid
The BMW 7 Series is already highly sought after but nonetheless, the German marque is giving it a more exclusive variant for the Russian market, and they are calling it the 7 Series Individual Edition Black Ice. It’s only available on orders. The special edition features a ton of unique features inside and out, making it truly stand out from the rest.
The Black Ice name was derived from the model’s Frosty Black metallic finish. And it is not just your typical black paint. It has got a unique painting technology that gives it transformative properties. This is because the base metallic paint is coated with a special matte varnish. So under the right lighting, its 7 Series’ silhouette is amplified with its unique shine.
Apart from the distinct paint job, the BMW 7 Series was built with an aerodynamic M Sport package. This package has a double grille design, gloss black door handles, and a gloss black boot lid. To complete the exterior design, the Black Ice 7 Series now sits on a set of 20-inch BMW Individual V-spoke 649s with different sized tires, and of course, a body kit by M Sport. Other features that are already included on the standard edition are laser headlamps, parking assist with a remote control module, a 360-degree vision system, and an Executive Drive Pro package with roadway scanning.Read the entire article Check out this BMW 7 Series Individual Black Ice Edition exclusive to Russia
Every now and then, BMW Abu Dhabi gets quite a cool selection of customized cars, many of them tuned by BMW Individual. These are not just the nicest toys, but are also the most eye-catching ones as well, often in striking hues. The latest one that’s on display in one of their dealerships would be the M760Li (or M760i in the United States), and it has been finished in a Rallye Green paint that is part of the Individual catalog.
Apart from the stunning green paint, the BMW M760Li now has a front spoiler and an Alpina rear trunk lid spoiler has been added to complement that look. Smaller details such as satin chrome accents around the beefy front and side vents and mirror caps complete the exterior changes.
Changes do not stop on just the exterior, as the BMW’s cabin now features a fine-grain Merino leather upholstery in Opal white, contrasted by black stitching. Furthermore, it has been given extra accents in gloss black, as well as an upgraded entertainment system with dual screens in the rear. Since this model is a M760Li version, expect to see several “M” pieces inside and out to further boost the car’s appeal.Read the entire article Check out this Rallye Green BMW Individual M760Li displayed in Abu Dhabi
This BMW M760Li might be the car you are looking for if you are into yachts and sailing. As you know, the BMW 7-Series is the company’s range topping model, but now, it has partnered with Nautor’s Swan (which is known for their luxury sailing yachts). This special edition 760Li that comes with unique features was developed to honor 25 years of BMW Individual’s history.
To make the already luxurious model even more upscale, the company had to give it more upgrades. This includes unique brake calipers that have been finished in the same colour as the car, while wearing the exclusive Nautor’s Swan logo that only the exclusive model gets. The car also has the same logo affixed on the rear end. These are just some elements that you get on the outside, and most of the new luxury add-ons can be found in the cabin.
Details that will remind you of a yacht include teak wood paneling with joints filled precisely with a layer of rubber. This rubber helps the wood expand and contract when the climate changes, just like what you would find in a luxury sailing yacht. The trunk floor also gets carbon bonded wood components, matched with an Alcantara Smoke White finish.Read the entire article 2018 BMW Individual M760Li inspired by Nautor’s Swan sailing yacht will appear at Frankfurt
Would you get a brand new BMW M760i / M760Li xDrive for $156,700 in the US or €171,800 in Germany? You are probably wondering why it costs so much. This is because it is far from the ordinary model. This $156,700 M760iLi xDrive is currently located on the other side of the world in Abu Dhabi, and is also probably the most expensive BMW one could get as well.
Let us get to the details one by one. From the outside, it has a distinct Estoril Blue shade from the company’s individual catalog, riding on a set of huge two-tone 21-inch M Performance lightweight alloy wheels. The side profile features a silver bar that runs from one end to another, contrasting the blue paint. It features a new trunk lid spoiler that was especially made by Alpina.
To contrast the outside livery, the M760Li comes with a bold red leather interior that stretches from the center console to the front and rear seats. Of course, it is complemented with a high-tech entertainment system too. Overall, it has been given a longer wheelbase that gives the rear passengers extra legroom - space is indeed necessary in any luxurious car, especially if you are going to shell out some extra cash.Read the entire article This Estoril Blue M760Li xDrive is probably the most expensive BMW out there
BMW will be releasing a limited edition 7 Series in the same way that the 3 Series and 5 Series models got their own anniversary editions from the previous years. The BMW 7 Series Edition 40 Jahre, which is limited to only 200 examples, will be manufactured at BMW’s Dingolfing plant in Germany. Interestingly, this is also where the 7 Series was born and has been produced since 1977.
In line with the celebration of its 40th year, BMW is offering two special paint variants exclusively available from its very own Individual catalogue. Customers can choose between the Petrol Mica metallic (7 Series’ original body color) and the Frozen Silver metallic body paint. Its array of enhancements will include the brand’s high gloss Shadow Line trim, a new set of BMW Individual light V-spoke alloy wheels, as well as BMW’s M Aerodynamics Package. All limited-run 7 Series 40 Jahre also come with specially marked B-pillar coverings and door pillars to underline the segment’s 40 years of existence.
BMW’s Individual package is prominent as well inside the cabin such as the brand’s soft premium leather upholstery. The choices available are either in Smoke White/Black or Smoke White/Cohiba two color combinations. Any color scheme selected comes with a pair of limited edition comfort cushions in Smoke White which includes floor mats and Alcantara headliner of the same color. Depending on the choice of upholstery combination, the floor mat’s edging can be had either in brown or black while the accents can be availed either in Piano black lacquer or Smoke brown woodgrain.Read the entire article BMW 7 Series celebrates 40 years with limited edition 40 Jahre
BMW saw a potential oil leak on the new M760Li, prompting them to recall the said vehicle last April. Today, a little over two months after issuing the first recall, BMW is once again recalling the M760Li for the same reason. While 97 examples have been initially affected, the latest recall notice covers a total of 206 vehicles as issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (or NHTSA).
One of the main reasons is the oil leaking from the oil cooler possibly going onto the front brakes, compromising the vehicle’s braking efficiency. The 2017 BMW M760Li xDrive sedan, which packs a total output of 592hp(600PS) and 590lb ft (800Nm) of torque, can go for a zero-to-62 mph sprint in only 3.9 seconds. Even if no injuries or accidents have been reported, recalling the affected vehicles is important to let them check and replace the engine oil cooler line or whatever is necessary to prevent any serious problems.
According to BMW, they will be working on the vehicles beginning August 7 and that the procedure will be free of charge and should not take more than two hours to complete. In spite of this, owners should wait to be contacted first by the dealership before bringing in their cars for a check-up.Read the entire article Recall is expanded for BMW M760Li xDrive over oil-leak risks
As though many would think the Fire Orange is already synonymous to BMW Motorsport, Century West BMW in Lankershim Boulevard, Studio City California went above and beyond in customizing the new 7 Series.

Bad news for BMW, their new flagship sedan, the 2017 BMW M760Li xDrive is already being recalled not so long after its release. Why so soon, you ask? Well, an oil line in the engine compartment is leaking oil.
The worst part though is that it leaks down to the front brakes, which is highly dangerous for the car and the driver since this could affect stopping power. Especially since it packs a 6.6 liter twin-turbo V12 engine, that yields up to 601 horsepower and 590 pound feet of torque. The four-wheel drive comes with an eight speed automatic and can sprint to 60 miles per hour from zero in just 3.6 seconds. Imagine having to stop a car that fast with brakes that don’t work well due to an oil leak.
The premium sedan has a top speed of 155 miles per hour, and if customers got the M Driver’s Package, it can be stretched up to 189 miles per hour. M760Li, like the standard 7-series, has an “Executive Drive Pro” suite as well. With Dynamic Damper Contolled air springs and Dynamic Drive that reduce roll and increase comfort while driving.Read the entire article 2017 BMW M760Li xDrive recalled due to oil leaks
There is no denying that the new BMW M760Li xDrive really sits at the acme of the German premium carmaker’s 7-Series family. Along with its powerful and confident performance -- as powered by a new M Performance TwinPower Turbo V12 petrol engine -- the new BMW M760Li xDrive also boasts of being able to deliver segment-leading driving dynamics as well as ride comfort.
As an M Performance 7-Series, the BMW M760Li xDrive is about dynamics, especially concerning the amount of power emanating from its V12 engine. But aside from the fact the BMW M760Li xDrive is a true performer sitting on top of the 7-Series range, it also offers selections from BMW Individual. BMW Individual allows owners and would-be-owners to choose from an array of exterior and interior elements that aren’t usually offered. This means that customers could further evolve their BMW M760Li xDrive from something that is already special into a unit that is even more exclusive.
For instance, this particular model is wrapped in Frozen Dark Brown metallic exterior finish from BMW Individual, as accentuated by 20-inch BMW Individual Light alloy V-Spoke wheels with performance run-flat tires. Of course, there are more beautiful exterior finishes from BMW Individual the client could choose from. These include Moonstone Metallic finish, Almandine Brown Metallic color, Azurite Black Metallic and Ruby Black Metallic exterior finishes.Read the entire article BMW M760Li xDrive gets special treatment from BMW Individual
Oh please… We know for a fact that Tupac Amaru Shakur is perhaps one of the greatest rappers in our history. No wonder the vehicle that drove him to death may well be worth a fortune. But seriously, does anyone want to relive such an unfortunate event?
The horrible story happened right after the rapper and Death Row Records co-founder watched Mike Tyson and Bruce Sheldon’s boxing match. Back in the evening of September 7, 1996, Tupac and Suge Knight were on board the black BMW 7 Series (pictured here) until a white Cadillac pulled over from behind and shot Tupac several times at close range. The bullets entered the chest twice while another one got into his arm and another into his thigh. Suge Knight sustained injuries while Tupac died at the Las Vegas hospital six days after the incident took place at age 25.
Whatever happened to the BMW he rode in after the shooting is another story to be told. That same fateful night, the Las Vegas Police Department has impounded the vehicle as part of the standard operating procedure. Apparently after several years or so, the black BMW 750iL has had different owners. And although the previous owners had restored the vehicle, the dents caused by the bullets are still quite visible inside the door panels.Read the entire article 1996 BMW 750iL where Tupac was shot could be yours for 1.5M USD
When the latest Lexus LS flagship sedan was unveiled at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, it managed to turn several heads and capture the attention of the world. With its stunning looks and premium specs, the new Lexus LS 500 is expected to revolutionize anew the luxury vehicle sector, just like what the first LS managed to do decades ago.
But how would the new Lexus LS sedan stack up against comparably sized Germany rivals in the luxury segment, like the BMW 740i, Mercedes-Benz S550 and the Audi A8 L 3.0T?
So, our verdict? While the Lexus LS 500 seems to be a good proposition, its price has yet to be announced and its performance is still as good as printed in a paper. For now, the LS 500 wins, until we could really try being behind the wheels of all of these premium sedans.Read the entire article How does the 2018 Lexus LS compare against German premium sedans?
Some car enthusiasts may simply opt for BMW’s standard list of rim options while others go for something bolder. By bolder, we mean those rims that you’d typically find on big SUVs and low-slung sports coupes. As an example, consider this BMW 7-Series (G11) fitted with an over-the-top Quattresimo set of wheels.
As you can see on this black BMW, it has Forgiato’s 22-inch forged aluminum rims in gold finish. This particular design is from the Quattresimo collection, which is made of aircraft grade materials and can be availed in various forging options such as the convex, step lip or concave among many others.
In case you’re wondering, Forgiato’s team hails from Los Angeles California. It is also where they continue to produce and manufacture their excellent products. Still, the Italian sounding name is just as tasty as their wide array of colours and designs.Read the entire article Spotted: BMW 7 Series with 22-inch Forgiato Quattresimo wheels
It costs a fortune to buy a premium car from luxury brands like BMW. It costs even a bigger fortune to purchase its performance version. Let us introduce BMW’s first-ever 7 Series M Performance model, the BMW M760i xDrive. Good news for potential buyers in the United States, the fired-up version of the BMW 7 Series is coming to town.
As promised, BMW divulged how much the all-new BMW M760i xDrive would cost as the launch date of the car approaches. It is set to arrive in early 2017. Buyers would have to pay as low as $153,800, excluding destination and handling charges. But what can customers get from the 2017 BMW M760i xDrive?
Well, the 2017 BMW M760i xDrive is powered by an M Performance TwinPower Turbo 6.6-liter V12 gasoline engine that develops up to 601 hp at 5,500 rpm and up to 590 lb-ft of torque available at 1,500 rpm.
