BMW has given birth to another high-performance model that essentially brings the dynamism, expressiveness, practicality and on-the-road superiority into a whole new level – the new BMW M3 (F80) CS.
With the four-door BMW M4 CS initially posting resounding success, it was inevitable that BMW would create a second model having the same designation. Just like the M4 CS, the new four-door M3 CS is lighter and faster than the model (M3) from which it was derived.
As the first-ever BMW M3 CS special-edition model, there is a need to make sure that its appearance promptly conveys its performance capabilities. Its three-dimensionally contoured front end is defined by a slender kidney grille flanked by the twin headlight units featuring state-of-the-art LED technology. The three-part front apron of the new M3 CS underscores its dynamic nature while providing the needed efficient cooling for both the powerful twin-turbo six-cylinder engine and the powerful braking system.Read the entire article First-ever BMW M3 CS is lighter and more powerful than regular model
If you are a huge fan of the hardcore GTS version, you probably know that the closest you could get to that model is the upgraded model of the M4 -- the BMW M4 CS that has a 460 horsepower (343-kilowatt) engine capable of going from 0-62 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds. But guess what? It seems like the four-door M3 will be getting the same treatment sometime soon.
Well, the German company has been making use of their “CS” trademark filings. BMW has filed “CS” names with trademarks that range from “M1 CS” to “M8 CS” - that is a lot if you think about it. This is probably their strategy to keep up with the growing lineup of Mercedes-AMG vehicles.
In fact, it was stated by Bimmer Today, a German publication, that the new M3 (F80) CS will be the most powerful M3 of all time, and it is scheduled to come out next year. It will be getting 460 horsepower (343 kilowatts) from the same 3.0-liter biturbo six-cylinder engine, as that of the M4 CS. According to some rumours, the engine will be paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.Read the entire article BMW M3 (F80) CS with 460 hp will arrive in 2018
German sports car maker Porsche is making its presence the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show felt further by unveiling to the global public its new Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport. If you’re familiar with the street-legal yet track-focused outgoing 991-generation of the 911 GT2 RS, then the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport is basically its racing version.
As racing version, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport can only be driven on the tracks, which means that this race car is the carmaker’s newest attempt to lure in racing enthusiasts. The 911 GT2 RS Clubsport can be raced at clubsport-style events, including those organized by Porsche Club of America, as well as at a possible future racing series organized by SRO.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport shouldn’t be mistaken for the no-cost optional Club Sport package offered for the 911 GT2 RS in Europe, but not in the United States. There are a number of differences, but we would focus only on the Clubsport model, not the package.Read the entire article 2018 LA Auto Show: Porsche unveils track-only 911 GT2 RS Clubsport race version
BMW has just unveiled the seventh generation of the BMW 3 Series, with the codename of G20, at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. Its high-performance version – the BMW M3 -- with codename of G80 – won't follow immediately, and is expected to be launched for the 2020 model year at the earliest.
The German premium carmaker may start teasing and then launch the next-gen BMW M3 as early as next year. This means that its fans and enthusiasts would have wait for at least a year before getting a good a look at the next-gen high-performance version of the BMW 3 series.
For those who can’t wait that long, the BMW M3 G80 can be previewed unofficially through a work by Aksyonov Nikita, an automotive graphic designer based in St. Petersburg, Russia. Nikita has rendered various versions of future and present vehicles, including those created by Aston Martin, BMW, Fiat, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Peugeot, as well as a lot more.Read the entire article This next-gen BMW M3 (G80) rendering is almost as real as the still-veiled M model
We first saw the 30 Years American Edition of the BMW M3 (F80) at SEMA last year. This model was created to celebrate three decades of the sports sedan in the United States. And if you were tuned in at that time, you would know that only one car was ever made and it was dressed in a snazzy Frozen Red II Metallic hue that is combined with19 inch front and 20 inch golden M Performance alloy wheels.
And believe it or not, when it first made its debut at Las Vegas, the said model came with a price tag of $128,635. That is double the price of a standard M3 that costs an average $66,500.
Today, the said model has a value of $130,110, and this one off M3 with all the extra cool bits has been put up for sale by a dealer in Los Angeles. This model comes equipped with the optional Competition Package, together with a six speed manual gearbox.Read the entire article 2018 BMW M3 30 years American Edition is up for grabs for $130,110 in Los Angeles
BMW has been steadfastly working on developing the all new version of the 3 Series and M3. That’s why it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the existing model’s production will end when the new version comes along. But then, it seems like production will end sooner than we expected. In fact, there have already been reports of the discontinuation of the current F80 M3 taking place in a few months.
It was actually BMWBlog that announced this, as they said that the F80 M3’s production will be capped off as early as May 2018. One of the reasons for this is because of the introduction of the new WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) driving cycle. This new procedure will act as the new standard when determining levels of pollutants, C02 emissions, fuel or energy consumption for cars worldwide.
Once this becomes effective, BMW will have to fit the M3 F80 with a complex new Otto particle filter beginning in June. But instead of doing this, they have decided to just completely stop production in May, also so that they may focus on developing the 3 Series and the M3 - both models are slated to begin production within the next couple of years. Production will only be halted for the M3 though, as the M4 will remain unaffected by this change. Therefore, production of the M4 will continue for a few more months after May.Read the entire article Production of the current BMW M3 (F80) might already end in May
The newly introduced Mercedes AMG C63 S and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio both deliver an immense output of 500 horsepower. But now that BMW is ready to introduce the next generation M3 and M4, they made it clear that despite the increase in power, both cars will not compete against the output of their rivals.
BMW Blog recently wrote that both the M3 and the M4 will continue to use the same 3.0 liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, but this time, it will be called the S58. As mentioned earlier, output will be improved from originally 425 horsepower in base specification, to around 470 to 475 horsepower. We can expect to see the S58 engine in the X3 M and the X4 M ahead of the up and coming M3 and M4.
Some of you may be confused because previous rumours stated that the next generation models would come with a 48-volt electrical system and a small electric motor paired with both the engine and transmission.Read the entire article Next generation BMW M3 and M4 will offer more power from S58 engine
More details have emerged about the new sixth generation of the BMW M3 just as the German premium practically announced the end of the current-gen 3 Series with the unveiling of the track-focused BMW M3 CS.
As reported by the Car Magazine, the next generation of the BMW M3 has a codename of G80. The next BMW M3 is bound to be introduced in 2021, around three years after BMW launches the new generation of the 3-Series saloon (codenamed G20) in 2018. The 3-Series saloon will be followed by the 3-Series Touring (G21) in 2019 and by the 4-Series coupe and convertible (G22/23) in 2020.
The next generation of the M3 is expected to don the tweaks implemented on the 3-Series. These tweaks are seen to include a wider track, a lower center of gravity and a longer wheelbase, as well as a more stable aerodynamic balance and more user-friendly ergonomics. Its design is expected to be expressive, with a number of unique elements to distinguish the G80 M3 from the current generation F80.Read the entire article Next-generation BMW M3 (G80) to feature 493 bhp and an optional xDrive system
There’s currently no one faster than Marc Marquez in the MotoGP World Championship qualifiers. For now, the Spanish world champion riding for the Repsol Honda team is loving the view as he is ahead of the pack. Whether during qualifiers or the actual race, Marquez is a dominant force in MotoGP. Such dominance has particularly earned him a place in the annual BMW M Award, giving him another key to a brand new BMW M4 CS.
BMW has been handling out cars to top MotoGP qualifiers since 2003 through the BMW M Award. Actually, the 2017 BMW M Award is considered as the 15th edition of MotoGP’s Best Qualifier award, which honors the rider who manage to provide the strongest overall performance in the one-season qualifying sessions. This year, Marquez earned a total of 343 points to secure the M Awards, around 86 points ahead of his closest rival.
For Marquez, winning the BMW M Award is nothing new. In fact, this year is the fifth time he won the prestigious award, which means he already has keys to five BMW M cars. Essentially, Marquez secured a third of the total BMW M Award (15) handed out to MotoGP riders. Other recipients of the BMW M Award include Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner (three awards each), Jorge Lorenzo (two awards), Sete Gibernau and Nicky Hayden. These MotoGP riders also received a car from BMW M for topping the season qualifiers.Read the entire article Marc Marquez gets a new BMW M4 CS after winning 2017 MotoGP’s Best Qualifier award
The current generation of the BMW M3 sedan – codenamed F80 -- is entering its last hurrah with impending arrival of the next generation (with G20 designation). But that doesn’t mean that the current BMW M3 isn't enticing. In fact, it is as stunning as ever. Still, BMW isn't resting to ensure that M3 remains visually striking, as made possible through its BMW Individual program. This particular BMW M3 sedan in Canada is a prime example.
A quick look at the current M3 would quickly us that it isn't an ordinary vehicle. Nonetheless, BMW has found ways to make the M3 more extraordinary as well as to make it more linked to the taste and preferences of its owners. The BMW Individual program could step in and make life a lot easier for owners wanting to personalize their BMW rides – including the M3 -- and make them stand out from the rest.
Now, a BMW M3 sedan that considers the roads of Ontario, Canada as its home was able to take advantage of the BMW Individual program. As expected, the outcome was stunning. For instance, this M3 sedan is wrapped in cool color paint dubbed as Atlantis Blue Metallic. Its name reminds us of the lost island of Atlantis, a civilization thought to be concealed by the wide blue sea. Atlantis Blue Metallic is just one of the available colors in BMW Individual’s wide palette.Read the entire article This M3 from Ontario gets groovy with visual tweaks by BMW Individual
Have you been thinking of getting a BMW M3 (F80) sedan, but are not satisfied with the standard colours you can get it in? Well, BMW Individual can give in to your every whim, and you can have whatever colour you wish for. Just like this M3 finished in a unique Java Green finish. It is nothing like what you would imagine on that car huh? But this shade is not just limited to that model; it can also be applied to models like the M4 Coupe, M6 Gran Coupe, the 7 series, and some others.
The company gets the name "Java Green" from unripe coffee beans, and the shade helps the compact sedan stand out more. Since a standard M3 looks a little plain, it had been given a number of eye-catching M Performance components from the front fascia to the rear end of the car. The M3 now comes with a prominent front splitter that makes it look more aggressive, and the black side skirts now get an "M Performance" lettering. The newest thing in the back would be the carbon fiber wing that is seamlessly attached to the trunk lid.
Moreover, this M3 has been given an updated exhaust system from the M Performance pack, giving it a louder roar. The 20-inch forged alloy wheels with a star spoke design is now paired with carbon ceramic brakes and gold calipers from the Competition Package. As for performance, the car can produce as much as 444 horsepower instead of just 425 horsepower from before.Read the entire article This Java Green BMW Individual M3 (F80) will surely catch your attention
Earlier this year, BMW Individual revealed a one-off M3 Competition finished in Mint Green that no one quite expected. This model was put up for sale at LA’s Century West BMW. This unique BMW was not ordered by a customer, but instead was commissioned by a dealership employee named Chris Marino, who was hoping that he would find a buyer for it. Well, with a car that unique, it should not be such a struggle to look for one.
Speaking of BMW Individual, and one-off M3s, there is another variant that comes after the Mint Green car, and that is the Enzian Blue BMW Individual M3 that arrived just weeks after the first model. Unsurprisingly, the order was made by the same dealer. The Enzian Blue model also has a striking blue finish just like the Mint Green one, though I would say that the latter is still more unusual.
The M3 will definitely catch one’s attention, but that does not mean that it will be attractive to everyone’s eyes. What’s nice about this colour is that it is uncommon for a sports sedan and that will guarantee that the M3 will stand out from the crowd. Who wouldn’t want that? But here’s the thing, a standard M3 is not a cheap car, and this special edition Enzian Blue model that has been modified by BMW Individual has an asking price of $100,930. That is priced significantly more than the standard M3 that starts at $64,195. What makes it even more insane is the fact that it is more expensive than a brand new M5, which offers more premium features.Read the entire article This Enzian Blue M3 (F80) by BMW Individual is a very rare sports car
The current generation of the BMW M3 (F80) sedan isn’t just sporty and luxurious in terms of looks, but also in terms of performance. Because of its athletic appeal, the BMW M3 sedan has been one of the favorite subjects of vehicle modifications and tuning. Just recently, a BMW M3 was tweaked to feature a contrasting exterior and interior as well as a number of performance parts.
With a one-tone exterior finished in Atlantis Blue, this BMW M3 looks simple, elegant yet athletic. The single tone exterior of this particular BMW M3 helps highlight the M-Performance parts fitted on its body. This example of the M3 is fitted with an M Performance body kit and an M Performance exhaust. Its front end features a muscular bonnet derived from the BMW M4 GTS as well as front spoiler in carbon fiber. The rear end, on the other hand, this tweaked BMW M3 is fitted with carbon fiber rear diffuser and exhaust tips. Its large rear wing is also of carbon fiber. It also seems that the roof of this M3 is also carbon fiber.
All of these changes further made the exterior of the M3 more prominent, as already defined by its sporty lines and high-gloss black double-bar kidney grille featuring the M3 badge. Its set of large air inlets is well-complemented by all-LED headlights with dynamic design.Read the entire article 2017 BMW M3 (F80) looks good with Atlantis Blue exterior and black-and-brown interior
Would you believe that this BMW M3 (F80) is one of the most expensive BMW models you can get? This is because it comes with a lot of new features and is quite far from being standard. To be more specific, this Speed Yellow M3 is the closest you could get to a M3 GTS. It has carbon fiber details from the hood and the prominent front spoiler that the M4 GTS has.
This BMW M3 gets a Speed Yellow paint job, with a black roof to give it some contrast. This particular model also gets an upgraded exhaust system and titanium tips in the beefy carbon fiber diffuser, that has been acquired from the M Performance. It has been given enhanced aerodynamics like the optional carbon fiber fixed wing to add some downforce at the rear axle, keeping the car low. To finish off the extra bits are the M4 GTS wheels, Carbon Ceramic brakes, carbon fiber side mirror caps, and of course, the “M Performance” badge on the side sills.
Moving into the cabin, the interior complements the exterior with the black leather seats accented with yellow stitching and yellow trim for a sportier look all over. There are also a lot of glossy carbon fiber parts like the dashboard and the center console. Before I forget to mention, it also gets a sports steering wheel and sports seats.Read the entire article BMW M3 Speed Yellow with M Performance parts seen in Abu Dhabi
Following the M3’s new facelift earlier this year, BMW is once again bringing something fresh to the table. In its newest offering, a cheaper version of the high performance sedan will be built exclusively for Australia. Apart from being the most affordable trim, the new BMW M3 Pure will come with the standard M Competition kit.
In Australia, the new entry level M3 can be bought for as low as 129,900 AUD. That makes it cheaper by 10,000 AUD than the regular M3. Customers can also save as much as 15,000 AUD as compared to the current M3 Competition’s MSRP. The M4 Coupe, on the other hand, comes at a starting price of 139,900 AUD.
BMW’s latest offer will surely attract more buyers since it is loaded with all the goodness of an M model at a lower price. The M3 Pure, though merely considered as a base model, still benefits from BMW’s wide range of standard equipment. This includes the M Competition tuning kit that helps increase the 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine’s output by as much as 19hp (14kW), all for a total of 444hp (331kW).Read the entire article BMW to sell cheaper M3 Pure for Australia

What can Lego not build? I’m serious, the toy building brick touches everything from complex architecture like the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, fictional characters from Star Wars to The Simpsons, and even F1 and race cars - basically everything you can think of in this world.
We are all aware that Lego Ideas have come up with a lot of automotive projects in the past. They have built models including the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, race karts, stunt trucks and bikes and some others. Now, they are crafting the classic BMW E30 M3, and the cool thing is that it really resembles the actual model.
The E30 M3, as we know, was BMW’s homologation special to get into touring car racing. This model also turned out to be a huge success across Europe, especially in Germany’s DTM. It was equipped with an inline six 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine.Read the entire article Would you cop a Lego BMW E30 M3?
If you are longing to get the carbon-fiber limited edition of the BMW M3 sedan – the BMW M3 CRT (E90) –chances that you would be able to get your hand on one would be very slim. This is primarily because less than 100 examples (67 units to be exact) were only built, and all of them were sold out even before the German premium carmaker released the BMW M3 CRT to the market.
Now, one of those 67 rare examples of the BMW M3 CRT E90 (Carbon Racing Technology) is being sold, and it is fairly new. Built for the 2013 model year, the odometer of this BMW M3 CRT E90 has recorded only 382 km (237 miles), which means that it hasn’t been driven that much for around four years. Moreover, this example of the M3 CRT E90 hasn’t been registered, making it the only M3 CRT that is unregistered.
Being sold at duPont Registry, this M3 CRT E90 is one of the only two examples in the United States. Although it wasn’t sold in North America, car has been federalized for Show & Display use, which means it could be driven legally in 49 states for up to 2,500 miles a year. To be driven in California, this car needs to be certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).Read the entire article Rare and practically new BMW M3 CRT E90 is being sold for nearly $300,000
While most BMWs come with a long list of finishing touches for customers to choose from, this BMW M3 owner wants more than the standard and optional add-ons that are available. After all, an eye-popping BMW M3 in Satin Lime Green Chrome will grab more attention if it comes with a bronze colored wheel set. Sounds fair enough.
When customers take the road-less-travelled, it’s always the best time for after-market tuning specialists to take over. And so this is how it all started.
To put it more into details, this BMW M3’s very visible exterior which comes in Satin Lime Green Chrome paintwork was further enhanced with Velos Designwerks wheels. The secret is in the bronze beauty which is made of S15 monoblock forged concave measuring 20x10 (at the front) and 20x12 (at the rear).Read the entire article BMW M3 is simply stunning with Satin Lime Green Chrome finish and bronze Velos Designwerks wheels
