BMW’s Subscription Service costs up to $3,700 for the M plan

One of the automakers that offer a subscription service to their clients instead of just selling them the traditional way is BMW. At the time of writing, BMW’s program “Access by BMW” is only available in Nashville, Tennessee.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this service, it actually comes in two tiers. The first is the Legend plan, which costs $2,000 a month and provides access to the 530e xDrive, 540i, X5 xDrive35i, 440i Coupe, 440i Convertible and M2. Then there’s the more premium M plan, which costs $3,700 a month. This covers use of the M5, X5 M, X6 M, and M4 Convertible.

To sign up for the subscription service, the client will need to pay a $575 joining fee, and there is a minimum of a 32-day commitment. BMW will then handle the insurance and maintenance on the vehicles. The vehicle will be detailed before each delivery. The car comes with a full tank of fuel but the user is responsible to fill it up later on. Customers will also be able to switch between plans from month to month. It’s also possible to pause the program for an extra fee of $200.

This blacked out BMW X5 M by Z Performance will definitely turn heads

Are you one of those people whose favourite colour is black? If you are, then you will definitely love this murdered out BMW X5 M example here. And by the way, let us be clear that mounting black wheels on a random black car does not make it qualify as having been murdered out. Speaking of blacked out cars, check out this X5 from Z-Performance. At first glance, you would think that this example is owned by your favourite villain who wants to rule the world.

Almost every week, we hear from at least one aftermarket tuner, but Z-Performance isn’t one to make a lot of noise on a regular basis. And even if they don’t, did you know that they have actually been around for 26 years now? One reason why not everybody knows of this tuner is also because they specialize in customs wheels more than anything else.

Having said that, this BMW X5 had been given a set of forged 22 inch Z-Performance wheels that measure 10.5 inches wide and a full 12 inches out. Of course, the wheels were finished in no other than matte black in the center, with glossed up lips.

IND Distribution shows off BMW X5 M variant

The M-series models from BMW are good examples when it comes to performance and balance. Balance is not only important when driving on the racing circuit as it is just as significant when it comes to design. Take the case of the X5 M SUV from BMW. While it does display high-performance and a large size, it does not appear to be over-the-top. It is with this philosophy that IND Distribution made sure that its upgrade program for the X5 M would not remove the model’s identity, resulting in a version that is clearly extraordinary.

There is no doubt that when on the road, the IND BMW X5 M exhibits more charisma, power, and aggressiveness. However, all the upgrades done had purpose and were refined as they complemented this model’s exterior and interior.

While the standard version is equipped with the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, IND Distribution made sure to give this one a boost. The resulting ESS software tune resulted in power deliver way above the 567 horsepower in the standard version and thus offered better acceleration. IND Distribution also installed the Eisenmann Black Series full sport exhaust system and two Eisenmann downpipes to ensure that gases are expelled much more efficiently and that the sound produced is clearly meaner.

Vorsteiner unveiled today its latest tuning kit developed for the Bmw X5M. As you may remember, the tuning company also tuned the Bmw X6M and left some of us speechless. We have to admit that the new X5M had the same effect on us as the X6M. As you can see from the photos, the new tuning kit consists of a new front hood, an add-on front spoiler as well as an add-on rear air diffuser with integrated exhaust system.

The carbon fiber combined with the white color gives a new look to the car and because we are talking about Vorsteiner, expect high quality parts. According to the manufacturer, the aerodynamic components are made using Vorsteiner’s latest autoclaved pre-preg carbon fiber, and this process adds strength and durability over traditional carbon fiber components.

Regarding the engine, Vorsteiner didn’t give us any details, but we are sure that this can also be improved. For those who don’t know, the X5M comes as standard with a 4.4-liter V8 engine delivering 555 hp @ 6,000 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque (680 Nm) from 1500 to 5,650 rpm. With these numbers, it can sprint from naught to 60 in just 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.

HAMANN-Motorsport is previewing at the 80th Geneva Motor Show the Hamann TYCOON EVO M, a masculine reinterpretation of the BMW X6 M. It is powered by an enhanced version of the X6 M’s serial engine that has been made more powerful in terms of output and torque as well as sound, thanks to a stainless steel high performance exhaust system with metal catalyzers. Hamann employed a newly programmed map for the serial motronic, thereby lifting the speed limit from 250 km/h to 300 km/h.

These tweaks allowed the Hamann TYCOON EVO M to offer up to 670 hp (493 kW) of output available at 6,000 rpm (plus 115 hp) and up to 780 Nm of torque available at between 1,500 and 5,650 rpm (plus 100 Nm). These figures allow Hamann TYCOON EVO M to sprint from zero to 100kph in just 4.2 seconds. This potential is well conveyed by its striking shape and the stunning exterior design of the Hamann TYCOON EVO M.

For instance, the Hamann TYCOON EVO M features front and the rear wing extensions -- made from light composite materials – that expands the body by around 20 mm. Moreover, the sides of the vehicle are fitted with newly designed side skirts while the front end is marked by an apron with four LED daytime running lights. Ventilation for the engine of the Hamann TYCOON EVO M comes courtesy of enlarged air inlets in the front and on the carbon bonnet.

As a result, the tuner was able to install various performance parts that boost the power up to 725 hp at 6,000 rpm and the torque to 890 Nm at 1,500 rpm. The torque is electronically limited and was increased to 1,000 Nm. The X5 M’s standard transmission was also modified.

The vehicle’s twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 unit is fitted with a stainless steel exhaust that uses sport catalytic converters and special exhaust manifolds for the turbochargers.
