French high-performance car maker Bugatti Automobiles commenced deliveries of its 1,500-hp Bugatti Chiron super sports car in March 2017. While the demand for the Chiron hypercar is high, its production nature limits the number of examples assembled and delivered each year. Good news though as the company was able to reach its delivery target for 2017 – 70 examples of the Bugatti Chiron were sent to customers around the world.
Ordering and purchasing a new Bugatti Chiron is one thing, while getting to drive it is another. Wolfgang Durheimer, President of Bugatti Automobiles, remarked that the French carmaker is aiming to keep the waiting times for the customers as short as possible. So far, only 70 customers who ordered the Chiron have received their supercars.
When Bugatti commenced delivery of the Chiron in March 2017, the carmaker has already taken more than 200 orders. As of December 2017, the orders have ballooned to more than 300 examples. Bugatti revealed that 43 percent of orders were from customers in Europe while 26 percent were from North America, which includes the United States and Canada. Around 23 percent of the orders were from the Middle East while the remaining 8 percent were from the Asia-Pacific region.Read the entire article Bugatti achieves goal of delivering 70 examples of Chiron hypercar in 2017
Bugatti is finally commencing official deliveries of its much-awaited and much-hyped hypercar – the almighty Bugatti Chiron. Soon, customers would be able to drive what Bugatti describes as the most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports car in the world.
In fact, three examples of the Bugatti Chiron have just left the luxury sports car maker’s headquarters in Molsheim, France. These three new Chiron examples – in dark blue, light blue and silver-black exterior finishes – will soon reach their new owners in Europe and Middle East. Making the sendoff of the first official units of the Bugatti Chiron possible are around 50 of the company’s people from its production, quality assurance and logistics teams.
Another Bugatti Chiron -- also bound for delivery -- will be displayed by the French company at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show before it is shipped to its new owner. Bugatti is planning to produce up to 70 examples of the Chiron at its Molsheim atelier this year. At the official launch of the Chiron at the Geneva Motor Show, the luxury sports car maker said is planning to build and offer just 500 examples of the stunning hypercar.Read the entire article Bugatti officially starts deliveries of its 1,500-hp Chiron hypercar
A European customer has ordered the last Bugatti Veyron, which has an exclusive limited run of only 300 models. The classic Bugattis are now considered collector's items and are known as some of the most valuable cars that ever existed. Meanwhile, the coupé versions of the Veyron are definitely seen as worthy successors.
However, the reign of Bugatti's sports car doesn’t end here. The Grand Sport, a supercar that has the utmost technical specifications, is still available.
The closed top version, which has a transparent roof, has a top speed of 407 km/h. Without the roof, it gets a maximum speed of 360 km/h, easily earning it the title as the fastest convertible in the world.Read the entire article Bugatti delivers the last Veyron supercar to European customer
When Bugatti took the veil off the Chiron in 2016, it was well expected that the French carmaker would create versions of the sports car. Then, the carmaker unveiled the track-focused Bugatti Chiron Sport at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018. But it seems Bugatti isn't finished yet, as it is reported to be planning to reveal an extreme version of the Chiron at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
According to our sources, Bugatti has plans to build an extreme version of the Chiron that even surpasses the Divo. It seems that a number of VIP customers were given the privilege of getting a good glimpse of the new upcoming version of the Chiron through sketches shown at the unveiling of the Bugatti Divo at Château Saint-Jean. As report, Bugatti described this new extreme version as “a beauty of speed” as well as a “ground-to-ground Missile”.
Chiron’s predecessor, the Bugatti Veyron was gifted with an extreme version that held the record for being the fastest street-legal car for more than seven years – the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. This version features an engine that can deliver 1,200 PS (1,184 hp or 883 kW) of max output and 1,106 lb.-ft. (1,500 Nm) of peak torque. It managed to achieve a top speed of 267.856 mph (431.072 km/h) to set a new record, only to be broken seven years later.Read the entire article Extreme version of Bugatti Chiron might be unveiled at 2019 Geneva Motor Show, says report
Nobody would dare take a Bugatti Chiron to the off-road. After all, the power, dynamics and capabilities of the Chiron are designed to challenge the road and even the track, but not the off- road. If a driver tries to drive a Chiron to an off-road path, he or she should be ready to shell out a large amount of money to repair the possible damages that the hypercar may incur during such adventure. In short, the Chiron is ill-equipped to tackle the off-road.
Nevertheless, a well-equipped Bugatti Chiron might be able to take on the off-road challenge. That would be too much to ask, as Bugatti has built itself as a creator of super-fast cars. A Bugatti sports utility vehicle is currently being considered at the carmaker, but transforming the Chiron into an off-road monster is something the carmaker would leave to other hands. Taking that insurmountable task – at least in a rendering is automotive graphic artist Rain Prisk, and the result of his efforts is the Bugatti Chiron 4X4.
Rain Prisk has been rendering images of existing cars and transforming them into something carmakers wouldn’t even think of. Some of this works include a pickup truck version of a Range Rover, a 2005 Ford GT Raptor, and shooting brake version of the Bugatti Divo. His latest work is the Bugatti Chiron 4X4, which is menacingly well-equipped to call the off-road trail its second home.Read the entire article This Bugatti Chiron 4x4 rendering is a suitable companion for off-road adventures
Since 2016, Bugatti has been synonymous to Chiron. After all, the French sports car maker only has the Chiron in its stable since 2016. There is the Chiron Sport, but it is essentially just a track-focused version. There is the Divo, but this hypercar is also track-focused and is produced in very limited number (40 units). Many have been wondering whether Bugatti would offer another model. But just recently, it was confirmed that Bugatti is now ready to build a second model in addition to Chiron.
This confirmation was made not just by anyone from Bugatti Automobiles SAS, but by its top honcho, chief executive Stephen Winkelmann to CarAdvice. During an interview, Winkelmann remarked that he sees Bugatti as ready to do more than one model. This basically steers Bugatti – a part of the Volkswagen Group – into a new direction. The Chiron will still be offered, but a new model could be in the making.
Nonetheless, while Bugatti is ready to develop and launch a new model, it can’t do so right away. After all, the development of a model involves a lot of money. As such, a large investment is required. But Bugatti can’t hope to get such large investment from the VW Group right away – it needs to help. As Winkelmann justified, the VW Group is still stuck in its investments in projects like autonomous driving and electric cars.Read the entire article Bugatti CEO says carmaker is ready to create a second model alongside Chiron
When Bugatti Automobiles unveiled the new Bugatti Divo, it announced that this new performance monster would be powered by the carmaker’s eight-liter W16 engine that provides 1,500 PS of output. Boasting of 16 cylinders in W formation – hence its name – the W16 is the same source of power for the Bugatti Chiron. The hypercar before the Chiron, the Bugatti Veyron, also had a W16 as its core.
Now, a source of pride at Bugatti, the W16 engine inside the Divo and the Chiron will have no replacement. This was revealed to CarAdvice by no less than the chief executive of Bugatti Automobiles, Stephan Winkelmann. The hypercar maker’s top honcho said that that there would be no new 16-cylinder engine, and the W16 will be the last of its kind.
Make no mistake; the W16 is still alive and kicking. It has been so since it was first installed under the hood of the Bugatti Veyron in 2005 or 13 years ago. In the first iteration of the Veyron, this W16 engine was tuned to deliver 1,001 PS (736 kW or 987 hp) of max output and 1,250 Nm (922 lb.-ft.) of peak torque. The final installment of the Veyron – the Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse – had the W16 mill develop 1,200 PS (880 kW or 1,200 hp) of max output and 1,500 Nm (1,100 lb.-ft.) of peak torque.Read the entire article Bugatti won't have a new W16 engine, hints on making it more powerful
Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. has new performance monster in its stable. This new monster – the new Bugatti Divo – leans towards lateral acceleration, agility and cornering . It is also limited in terms of series production with 40 units already sold out, with a price of EUR5 million each.
Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti, they decided to build a super sports car with a different character from the Chiron, but still instantly recognizable as a Bugatti. Furthermore, the new Divo marked the revival of Bugatti’s coach-building tradition. The new hypercar is named after French racing driver and two-times Targa Florio winner Albert Divo.
At a very quick glance, the new Bugatti Divo somewhat has the aura of the Chiron. But they are quite different in terms of outer skin and how they tackle performance. The new Divo still adheres to the philosophy of “Form follows Performance”. Bugatti design the exterior of the new Divo to focus on lateral acceleration, with the aim to achieve optimal aerodynamic and thermodynamic efficiency.Read the entire article Bugatti Divo is a 1,500-PS hypercar with focus on lateral acceleration, agility and cornering
Back in 2004, Bugatti first introduced to us the telemetry system on its road-going production model. This tech debuted with the Veyron, making it the very first in the industry to utilize this kind of system. Now, if you own a Chiron, then you can also benefit from this. So in case you get a flat tire or any such issue, you will be alerted by Bugatti’s “flying doctors” about the specific problem you are currently having in real time.
The telemetry system, if you didn’t know, got its inspiration from Formula 1 and DTM race cars. It relies mostly on mobile radio to monitor the condition of a Veyron and Chiron, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And the only time that telemetry won’t be able to monitor your car is when there is no mobile phone network coverage. Around 14 years after this technology was introduced, it has been greatly improved, and now can monitor 10,000 signals in the case of the more high tech Bugatti Chiron.
What the telemetry focuses on in each of these cars would be the key components such as the 8.0 liter quad turbo engine, the seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox, and even hardware such as the infotainment system and air conditioning. As mentioned earlier, Bugatti has three “flying doctors” that are in charge of the Chirons and Veyrons. One of them is focused on Europe and Russia, the other one in Middle East and Asia Pacific, and one is in charge of North America.Read the entire article Bugatti’s telemetry tech remotely monitors your Chiron anywhere in the world
The Bugatti Chiron is probably one of the sportiest cars in the planet, thanks to its overwhelming power output of 1,500 hp and its hypercar design. If there is one car who could claim to be sportier than the Chiron, it is another creation from the French manufacturer – the new Bugatti Chiron Sport.
Bugatti’s formula for creating a sportier version of the Chiron doesn’t entail any increase or boost in power output or torque. The French high-performance carmaker didn’t need to tinker with the quad-turbo, 8.0-liter W16 engine to come up with the Chiron Sport. This means that power ratings for the Chiron Sport remain at 1,500 hp of max output and 1,180 lb.-ft. (1,600 Nm) of peak torque as transmitted to all wheels. Likewise, this means that Chiron Sport could complete a sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds, and achieve a top speed of up to 260 mph (420 km/h) – the same as the Chiron.
Aside from retaining the superb power and performance of the Chiron, the new Chiron Sport also features the same ease and convenience of driving. Instead of focusing on these elements, Bugatti decided to dramatically improve the handling of the new Chiron Sport and enhance its lateral dynamics on winding roads. To achieve this goal, the new Chiron Sport is fitted with a dynamic handling package and has been made lighter than the original model.Read the entire article Bugatti unveils fully dressed Chiron Sport at 2018 Geneva Motor Show
Turn 10 Studios, the developer of Forza Motorsport 7, has just released this month’s collection of downloadable cars for the gamers. This time, it is very different from last month’s downloadable batch that included largely classic vehicles. Because for the month of February, they decided to put emphasis on the modern performance that includes bringing the Bugatti Chiron to the game.
We actually find it very strange that the Forza Motorsport 7’s extensive lineup, with over 700 vehicles, lacks the Chiron, which limits gamers to experience the top batch of hypercars. The Bugatti Chiron here has an 8.0 liter quad turbocharged W16 that enables it to produce 1,479 horsepower (1,102 kilowatts) and 1,190 pound-feet (1,599 Newton metres) of torque.
In fact, it will only take the coupe around 2.5 seconds to hit 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) before hitting the limited top speed of 261 miles per hour (420 kilometers per hour). In real life, not a lot of people get the chance to experience a car this quick, but now, Forza players have the opportunity to enjoy how the Bugatti performs on a track, plus they do not have to worry about totally wrecking the car.Read the entire article Dell Gaming Car pack brings Bugatti Chiron to Forza Motorsport 7
In today’s world, there are a lot of pros and cons that this highly digital world has brought to us. We’ve become so used to instant gratification that having to wait for something we really want can be excruciating. When most things can arrive in what seems to be a blink of an eye, a wait of nearly two years to get your hands on the Ford GT must feel terrible. That is indeed a serious type of punishment.
This is the experience of about 6,500 car enthusiasts from all over the world who applied to purchase one of the first 500 Ford GT supercars. Yes, this model has been available in the United States for quite some time now. That’s why it’s a big deal when you’re one of the first persons in Europe to get the keys to the GT.
The lucky customer who is the first to receive this GT in Scandinavia is Jason Watt. He used to be a racing driver in Denmark. Back in 1999, he got into a major motorcycle accident, which resulted to his body being paralyzed from the chest down.Read the entire article Ford GT deliveries in Europe finally started, Scandinavian customer is one of the first to get the keys
There’s great news for Bugatti Veyron owners as the automaker recently introduced the Loyalty Maintenance Program to help customers maintain the condition of their cars and to allow them to keep their vehicles in mint condition.
The Loyalty Maintenance Program is actually part of the company’s Extended Warranty and Extended Warranty Plus programs, which can last for as long as 15 years. Owning a Bugatti Veyron can be very expensive; the maintenance costs alone are already high. The brand hopes that this program will help reduce operating costs for owners.
Franco Utzeri, head of Bugatti Certified and Financial Services, says that the Bugatti Customer Service is definitely more than just a seal of approval, making a difference for Veyron owners. It includes warranty, individual support, and a combination of a confirmed vehicle history. The automaker’s goal is also to give their customers a unique experience and 360 degree ownership that no other automaker currently offers.Read the entire article Bugatti offers 15-year warranty as part of its Veyron Loyalty Maintenance Program
In the 1990s, one of the most well-known supercars was the Bugatti EB 110. While its popularity has diminished with the passing of time, it has recently gotten some press at a few auctions and quickly got back to the spotlight.
Now, Casil Motors is planning a revival of sorts for the said model with its SP-110 Edonis Fenice. They gave it a new body and some upgraded mechanicals, together with some of the EB 110’s remaining carbon fiber monocoques. The firm will only produce a total of 15 units.
Under the hood of the SP-110 Edonis Fenice is still the same V12 engine from the EB 110. But instead, it has 3.8 liters with two turbos, which is larger than the original model that only had a quad-turbo 3.5 liter unit. The old model was able to bring out a total of 550 horsepower (410 kilowatts) with the smaller engine in stock, while the new one now produces as much as 720 horsepower (537 kilowatts).Read the entire article Casil Motors turns Bugatti EB 110 into SP-110 Edonis Fenice, production to begin soon for 15-unit run
Supercar makers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Lotus, at some point, have already stated that they would produce SUVs. While McLaren has not joined the bandwagon, it likely won’t be holding out for long if it wants to make loads of money like the rest of them. But there is another automaker that has not been mentioned a lot in this discussion of SUVs, and that is Bugatti.
For the longest time, Bugatti denied the idea of creating both a sedan and an SUV. One reason is that it is difficult to imagine an SUV with the same performance DNA found in models like the Veyron and Chiron. However, there is one artist that threw caution to the wind and imagined a Bugatti SUV that bears some Chiron design elements. Aksyonov Nikita is that artist. His rendering of the French performance SUV looks amazing and actually looks ready for the year 2020.
These photos were first published by the artist on his Behance page, before it circulated around the internet. He is also known for rendering a lot of other cool cars like a Porsche 918 Spyder among others.Read the entire article Bugatti is adamant it won’t produce SUVs but this rendering makes us want it even more
It hasn’t been that long since Bugatti introduced the Chiron to the market. In fact, it has only been a little over a year since production of the said model began in late 2016. And already, one owner is already planning to sell his hypercar. So for those of you who are interested, expect to see this 1,479 horsepower (1,102 kilowatt) Chiron at the upcoming RM Sotheby’s Paris auction next year.
This particular model was one of the first 20 Chirons to be delivered to their first owner, when it was brought to him during the second quarter of 2017 as one of the 18 examples delivered. Having said that, this car is pretty much brand new.
It has only been driven less than 621 miles (1,000 kilometers), and half of that number comes from test drives by the manufacturer. The auction house estimates that this car could sell for about 3.2 million to 3.6 million euros ($3.8 to $4.3 million). While that is quite a huge increase over the $3 million MSRP, it’s an awesome opportunity for any collector of rare models.Read the entire article Bugatti Chiron already going on auction in Paris
One of the best feelings a person would experience is driving a brand new car that came straight from the dealership, especially if its something like a Bugatti Chiron that you probably have worked hard for. Also, we are all aware that any car depreciates the moment we take it out for a ride - but not this one.
Finally, the very first “used” Bugatti Chiron in the UK has reached the market, and it looks like the previous owner is not going to lose money. But instead, he will earn another £1M ($1.32M) since he first purchased it. The car is currently listed at a specialist supercar dealer Romans International in Surrey, UK.
Today, the black car, which was one of the very first examples delivered in the UK, has a market value of £3.6M ($4.78M). That is £1.1M more than its original £2.5M tag price when it first came out. How lucky is the owner considering that this car has already been used. This example is also one of just 500 examples built for the Bugatti’s whole 10 year lifespan.Read the entire article How much would you pay for the first used Bugatti Chiron in the UK?
With so many rims available in the market today, it’s quite the challenge to tell which one would look best on your car. How much more if you plan to match them to a Bugatti Chiron? Many owners of these 1500 hp monsters would usually prefer the manufacturer-supplied wheels over those that come from the aftermarket specialists. To some, the many choices out there can make the task overwhelming.
It’s good to know there exists a handful of Bugatti Chiron owners who are brave enough to take the less traveled road. Take for example, the owner of this Bugatti who decided to find a new set of Forgiato Tecnica rims instead of settling for the Chiron’s stock alloy wheels.
We have no way of knowing what the size of these wheels really are, but let’s just say they fit those tires that already came with the Chiron from scratch. The stock Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires are made especially for the Chiron’s powerful road potentials so keeping it stable under any road condition is imperative to its performance. In case the owner preferred another set of high performance tires, then we have to assume these must be the better ones. The stock comes in the sizes of 11x20 for the front and 14x21 for the rear.Read the entire article Bugatti Chiron with Forgiato Tecnica alloy wheels is hard to come by
Are you a hypercar enthusiast? If you are, then this story might catch your attention. If you have unlimited cash to burn, one of the most expensive cars you could bring home is a Bugatti Veyron. Or the Bugatti Chiron might be more to your liking. But don’t forget that there is also the extremely rare Vision GT.
Because of how incredible this hypercar is, we just have to show you a video of its delivery to a collector based in Los Angeles. This one-off Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo first made its appearance in 2015. From looking at its design, you would be able to tell that it got some of its inspiration from the Bugatti Type 57G, which is a two-time Le Mans 24 Hour winner. Under the hood of this super rare model is a W16 engine that produces an impressive 1,650 horsepower (1,230 kilowatts) and 1,165 pound-feet (1,230 kilowatts) of torque.
The very first owner of this Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo was Saudi Arabian Prince Badr bin Saud. He then sold it to the new owner who is based in LA. As you heard in the video, this is the one and only Bugatti Vision GT that has reached the US soil, and it will be sitting in its new owner’s garage alongside a Porsche P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and a one-of-twenty Lamborghini Centenario. Undeniably, the Vision GT comes with stunning bodywork and a dramatic engine, as well as a few other outstanding features to take note of.Read the entire article One-off Bugatti Vision GT is delivered to its new owner in LA
Bugatti is no longer the automaker that carries the fastest street legal production model after the Chiron was overtaken by no other than the Koenigsegg Agera RS. The new champion posted an average speed of 277.9 miles per hour (444.6 kilometers per hour) after doing two runs going in opposite directions as part of the Guinness’ requirements. It was Niklas Lilja, Koenigsegg’s factory driver, who was behind the Agera’s wheel when he broke the record at Pahrump, Nevada. All the figures were recorded and verified by Racelogic during the run last Saturday.
A couple of months ago, Koenigsegg was already talking about taking the crown from the Bugatti, which had Chiron’s 0-240-0 record. Drive Tribe had provided some of the details of the record-breaking feat. It reported that Agera RS was in Nevada, where it was put through a number of tests on a closed section of a road somewhere between Las Vegas and Pahrump. To make this possible, the Swedish automaker had to get permission from the Nevada Department of Transportation so they could close the particular road for the high-speed run.
In 2010, an unrestricted Bugatti Veyron Super Sport made a record of 267.81 miles per hour (431 kilometers per hour) at Volkswagen Group’s Ehra-Lessien test track. It was driven by Pierre Henri Raphanel, who was the automaker’s official test driver. It wasn’t long after that moment that a road-legal production model, which was the Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition, was launched. However, it had an electronic top speed limiter that lets it do just up to 258 miles per hour (145 kph) to preserve the integrity of the tires.Read the entire article Bugatti Chiron loses title of fastest road-legal production car to Koenigsegg Agera RS
