Buick unveils the latest 2018 Enclave at the 2017 New York Auto Show featuring versatile functionality, spaciousness and the latest technology. The midsize luxury SUV now has more space at the third row, an improved towing capability, various safety technologies, and a range of useful interior features. Inside, it boasts of premium materials which enhances the whole experience of cruising with this all-new seven-passenger midsize luxury SUV.
Despite its slimmer size and shorter height, the new Enclave is more spacious on the inside. The standard leg room on the third row offers 5.6 more inches compared to that of the Acura MDX, 4.5 inches more compared to the Audi Q7, and almost 3 inches more compared to the Infinity QX60. And compared to the outgoing model, the new Enclave comes with a longer wheelbase and tighter (by 1.4 feet) turning circle, contributing to better maneuverability.
The new Enclave has a seating capacity good for seven passengers, and provides 10 percent more cubic feet of cargo space (behind the first row) compared to the Acura MDX, Audi Q7 and Infiniti QX60. It even boasts of increased towing capacity, allowing up to 5,000 pounds of weight – that’s almost about the same weight as a typical 21-foot sport boat!Read the entire article 2018 Buick Enclave redefines the standards for midsize luxury SUVs
Gracing the 2017 New York Auto Show is the 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir – the brand’s very first entry in its new Avenir luxury sub-brand. This latest generation of Buick’s crossover vehicle comes with a sleeker look, compared to vehicles in the same class.
The Enclave Avenir has taken some features from recent Buick concepts such as the Avenir Concept car and integrating it as its own. Here, we find a combination of its mesh grille and chrome wings which serve as a support for the Buick tri-shield emblem. Another standard feature is a pair of LED headlights featuring automatic high beams.
Compared to the outgoing model, the 2018 Enclave is now taller and longer. Its height has increased by 2.4 inches (61 millimeters) or a total of 204.3 inches (5.189 meters), and its wheelbase is made longer so that it is now at 120.9 inches (3.071 meters) – a 2-inch (51-millimeter) increase from the current generation’s. However, this increase in size does not affect its weight as the 2018 Enclave is lighter than the current generation – the base model’s curb weight is at 4,358 pounds (1,977 kilograms), which is actually 366 pounds (166 kg) lighter.Read the entire article 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir debuts at New York Auto Show

After the 2013 Chevrolet Traverse and the 2013 GMC Acadia, GM introduced today its third three-row crossover, the 2013 Buick Enclave. The new Enclave promises to offer new styling, new safety technologies, in-vehicle connectivity and a more refined driving experience. The first visual impact with the car shows the new LED daytime running lamps, but this is not all as the vehicle also comes with LED taillamps in order to show a more sculpted exterior design.
Set to make its public debut this week at the 2012 New York Auto Show, the new 2013 Enclave will be offered in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models, each powered by a direct-injected 3.6L V-6 and mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission that contribute to the more refined driving experience (Enclave is expected to deliver an EPA-estimated 24 mpg on the highway - FWD models).

General Motors will be introducing a reskinned Buick Enclave this week. This is one of three full-sized GM crossovers that are scheduled to receive midcycle makeovers for the 2013 model year. Just a few days ago, GM unveiled a reskinned Chevrolet Traverse that had a restyled front end, sportier taillights, a better interior and additional safety features.
Buick officials say that the Enclave is instrumental for the revival of the brand after having been nearly put to rest during the 2009 restructuring of GM. It’s likely to receive many of the same improvements.
The 2013 GMC Acadia got wraparound rear glass, a better transmission and interior improvements. These crossovers share GM’s Lambda platform, which started production in late 2006 and had been initially used for the Acadia and Saturn Outlook.Read the entire article 2013 Buick Enclave will be the driving force behind the brand’s comeback
As part of General Motors’ efforts to quickly reinforce the Buick brand, the Opel Insignia has been turned into a Regal. Soon, the Astra will be transformed to a 2012 Verano. GMInsideNews reported that GM is planning to give a makeover to its European division by offering the next Buick Enclave and LaCrosse that will carry Opel badges.
It’s possible too that the vehicles will get a Vauxhall badge. If cost is the consideration, this move makes sense since it provides GM with economies of scale due to increased production.
It also adds to the Opel lineup without incurring major engineering expenditures. It’s to be expected though that there will be suspension improvements and various powertrains. It’s likely that the Buick LaCrosse will get the Opel Omega badge, a name intended for the German carmaker’s largest sedan.Read the entire article Next-generation Buick Enclave and LaCrosse to be sold in Europe under Opel nameplate
