General Motors has issued a recall of 8,208 Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (MY2014) over issues with their front brake assembly. GM said in a statement that rear brake rotors might have been installed in the front brake assembly of the sedans, resulting to “possible reduced braking performance.”
The carmaker said that the situation could significantly shorten front brake pad life as well as cut brake system performance, which could heighten risk of a crash.
