Hennessey HPE550 boosts the 2015 Cadillac Escalade to 557 hp

Back in October, Cadillac unveiled the all-new 2015 Escalade and for $72,690 this SUV can be yours. Under the hood, it comes with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that generates 420 hp and 420 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque, bolted to a six-speed transmission. Despite these numbers, there are customers who want more from their 2015 Cadillac Escalade.

As a result, Hennessey Performance (HPE) unveiled their HPE550 Supercharged Escalade. Described as the perfect balance of attitude, performance and luxury, the HPE550 Escalade offers several upgrades. The most important upgrade is the belt-driven supercharger producing 6 psi of boost pressure that boosts the 6.2-liter V8 engine to 557 hp and 542 lb-ft (734 Nm) of torque.

Still, the extra power is nothing without reliability, so Hennessey added an air-to-water intercooler system that keeps charge temperatures low, while the recalibrated engine management computer optimizes the air/fuel ratio throughout the rev range. This upgrade costs $15,950 (installed) and has a 3 year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Hennessey Goliath 6X6 is 705-hp off-road monster with optional 808-hp upgrade

Here comes a 6x6 pickup truck that can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. It isn't only mean and fully capable, but is also menacingly fast. We are referring to the all-new Hennessey Goliath 6X6, the latest creation of North American automotive tuner Hennessey Performance (HPE).

The new Hennessey Goliath 6X6 is essentially HPE’s follow-up to the VelociRaptor 6X6, which was unleashed in 2017. While the VelociRaptor 6X6 sounds faster than the Goliath 6X6, the latter is actually quicker on the sprint.

HPE created the Hennessey Goliath 6X6 from a Chevrolet Silverado, in particular from a Trail Boss Z71 model. This version of the Silverado was already a capable machine off the road. But HPE transformed it into a creation that most off-roaders would crave for.

Hennessey Venom F5 will be debuting at 2018 Geneva Motor Show

We are expecting a lot from Hennessey’s Venom F5, as it is reported to have a top speed of 300 miles per hour. This sounds like something no decent hypercar fan would want to pass up. And even though we have already seen the coupe variant at last year’s SEMA, the sad part is that it is not road-ready just yet. So hopefully, we see a working version of the Hennessey at the upcoming 2018 Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks.

Aside from this, the automaker will also bring the new Venom F5 to Europe for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, says the publication CarBuzz. Together with the Venom, the company’s boss, John Hennessey will also make a special appearance in Switzerland.

The American hypercar should be right at home opposite regular attendees such as Bugatti and Koegnisegg, together with newer offerings from Italdesign, Rimac and a few others.

602-hp Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6 is now up for grabs at $349,000

After building more than a thousand units of four-wheeled VelociRaptor modified Raptor trucks in the past years, Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) unveiled the VelociRaptor 6X6 Concept in 2016. Nearly a year after, the company completed the final version and teased the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6 at the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. Now, HPE is finally letting the VelociRaptor 6X6 out of its cage for a price that starts at $349,000.

The new Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6 is basically a Raptor -- in particular a Ford Raptor truck – a transformed six-wheel drive off-road vehicle with more than 600 horsepower of output. HPE aimed to refine the VelociRaptor 6X6 and turn it from being just a concept to a full production unit. However, those wanting to get a piece of this off-road monster need to act fast and contact HPE. This is because the company is building only 50 examples of the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6. HPE is also willing to cater to customers outside the United States. Interested customers could order the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6 directly from HPE or through select Hennessey / Ford dealers.

When HPE unveiled the concept version of the VelociRaptor 6X6 truck, it pegged the starting price at $295,000. However, something must have happened between the concept phase and the final production form that moved HPE to increase the base price by $54,000 to $349,000. There could be a number of changes on the parts and components or there could be some tweaks to the cost structure of creating a fully capable VelociRaptor 6X6. Nonetheless, the surge in starting price is understandable, and the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6 remains significantly more affordable than the Mercedes-Benz G63 6x6, which is valued at least more than half a million dollars.

When Chevrolet unveiled the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show, it described the super coupe as its most powerful and quickest production Corvette. With up to 755 hp (563 kW) of max output And 715 lb.-ft. (969 Nm) of peak torque available from its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine (LT5), the new Corvette ZR1 is a serious supercar for the track.

But now, Hennessey has come up with three power packages that essentially hike the power output of the 2019 Corvette ZR1. These power packages would appeal to ZR1 owners who want to squeeze the potential of their already high-performance super coupe. Each of the three power packages represents a new level of performance for the 2019 Corvette ZR1.

For instance, the HPE850 ups the power level of the 2019 Corvette ZR1 to 850 hp (634 kW) of max output and 715 lb.-ft. (969 Nm). This allows the Hennessey Corvette ZR1 HPE850 to accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.6 seconds, or 0.1 second quicker than the stock super coupe. This was achieve by employing high-flow cylinder heads, a high-flow air induction system and upgraded valve springs as well as a Hennessey lower pulley upgrade.

Earlier in November at the 2017 SEMA Show in Vegas is when Hennessey unwrapped the Venom F5 to all of us. But it was actually first introduced as a concept in 2014. Not much of the car’s interior has been revealed until now. Back then, the images showed only a section of the dashboard that was finished in carbon fiber. This time, more photos of the interior have surfaced online so we could clearly see the vehicle’s steering wheel and its instrument cluster.

The steering wheel looks like it had been covered in carbon fiber and Alcantara, while adopting a three spoke configuration with a flat upper and lower areas. The steering wheel has a number of features, from the turn signals, to radio controls, high beam flash, gear selector, start/stop button, the horn, and one red button that caught our attention.

To be honest, these images still don’t allow us to figure out all the functions. However, the company did say that it will be releasing more images of the Venom F5’s interior very soon.

The battle for dominance in the market for large, luxurious body-on-frame sports utility vehicles is already heating up even before Ford commences sales of its new Lincoln Navigator SUV. This comes as GM decided to offer a trade-in deal that sees $5,000 off a new Cadillac Escalade.

Ford is all set to begin sales of the new Navigator SUV sometime next week. It is a massive improvement over the current iteration. There is also a massive step-up in price, with the new Lincoln Navigator having a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $72,055. As a new generation vehicle that boasts of being a far cry from the current version, the Lincoln Navigator is attracting a lot of attention, and that could potentially translate to huge sales.

On the other hand, GM is offering the Cadillac Escalade for the 2018 model year. While it is not an outgoing model, the 2018 Cadillac Escalade hasn’t received major enhancements since the 2015 model year. Although the Cadillac Escalade is expected to remain a dominant force in its segment, its sales superiority is being challenged heavily by the new Lincoln Navigator. In short, GM will be having its hands full defending its position in the luxury SUV segment until it rolls out a new generation -- or even a major update -- of the Cadillac Escalade.

After numerous teasers that came along with promises of speeds up to 300 miles per hour (482 kilometers per hour), Hennessey finally reveals the highly anticipated and much hyped Venom F5 at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Similar to the outgoing model, the new F5 will put its focus on the same thing, and that is speed. But one thing that makes this one more special is that it was built from the ground up.

Unlike the outgoing model, the F5 has gotten rid of the Lotus chassis, but it is now wrapped around a custom carbon fiber tub instead. Most of its body is finished in the same lightweight material too. As for the design, it has been made to look significantly sleeker compared to its predecessor. And for comparison’s sake, the current Venom GT has a coefficient of 0.44 Cd, while its successor has a drag coefficient of only 0.33Cd. The Bugatti Chiron, on the other hand, has a coefficient of 0.38Cd.

Hennessey made it clear that people should not expect to see a hybrid powertrain with any of their models, and that is because he is a “purist”. He prefers to have simple, but elegant functionality - not that he is trying to belittle or bash hybrids.

Hennessey will be dishing out another HPE1000 performance package this time exclusively for Jeep’s Grand Cherokee Trackhawk SUV. Think HPE’s 1000hp Exorcist (or something like that) that will amplify the SUV’s powerful performance. To that end, Hennessey will provide the Trackhawk’s already potent 6.2liter Hellcat V8 Hemi engine with an added boost of up to 14 psi coming from its 4.5 liter supercharger.

Not only this. The full-size SUV will also come equipped with a high flow air induction system, an upgraded fuel pump, a high-flow supercharger bypass valve, some upgraded fuel injectors and new stainless steel long tube headers. All of these will come with the necessary gaskets and fluids.

The enhanced ECU will likely increase its power to 1,012 hp at 6,500 rounds per minute and 969 pound feet of torque at 4,200 rpm. The Trackhawk could go from a zero to 60 miles per hour (96km/h) in 2.8 seconds before hitting the quarter mile in about 10.5 seconds or less at 133 miles per hour (214km/h). You will need Shell V-Power 93 octane gasoline to run this machine including Pennzoil Ultra Platinum synthetic oil for maintenance and filter change.

Hennessey Performance recently published a riveting video showing The Exorcist’s 959.32 hp and 756.29 lb-ft of torque on the rear wheels.

As it turns out, the tuner from Texas wants to announce to the world that “The Exorcist” Camaro ZL1 could cast out an incredible 959 hp on the Dyno test. It isn’t even close to the SRT Demon’s 840 hp at the crankshaft.

The theory is based on actual math, starting with the fifteen percent “drivetrain loss” on the Demon’s 1,103 hp. As for the ZL1, the boosted performance was made possible by Hennessey’s decision to upgrade the Camaro’s ECU, intakes and supercharger. Needless to say, the competition between Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and Hennessey Performance Engineering’s Chevy Camaro is heating up even more.

Contacting Father Damien Karras, Hennessey’s new “ExorcistChevrolet Camaro ZL1 is getting out of control! We already know that Dodge is well on its way to unwrap its very own SRT Demon Challenger. Not to be outdone, Hennessey is also out to steal the limelight with its very own---The Exorcist. The horror of all horrors!

Hennessey Performance Engineering has created a 1000hp monster out of the new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1-- and even naming it after one of the “most profitable” horror movies ever made. But, way before Hennessey had cast its evil chants on the poor Camaro, the devilish muscle car already packs a strong 650hp and 650 lb ft-of torque. As if the Hellcats and SRT Demons aren’t good enough. Or should we say, “bad enough” for the hell’s standards.

With the new package, the 6.2-liter LT4 V8 receives a modified ECU, new larger intakes and an updated intercooler. Aside from the sufficiently large supercharger, Hennessey further enhanced the engine with long tube stainless steel headers, ported factory heads and high performance camshaft. Overall, this provides the LT4 with an extra 350hp and 316lb-ft of torque.

Only a few people would have the guts and the money to ask for all of the customization options for a vehicle. And Dr. Dre is one of them. Dr. Dre recently received the delivery of a 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV. This is not your ordinary Escalade, which is Cadillac’s flagship SUV. This is the ESV. This is the longer version of the Cadillac full-size SUV.

Typically, the Cadillac Escalade ESV fetches a price that does not even reach hundreds of thousands of dollars – standard trim starts at $73, 965 (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees -- even when equipped with the top and latest specs and features.

However, the fully customized Cadillac Escalade – a work of custom luxury tuner Becker Automotive Design – reportedly stripped around $200,000 off Dr. Dre’s pockets. That amount would be just a penny for the man, considered that he is thought to have a net worth of around $700 million.

In French, “Vitesse” means speed and French automaker Bugatti has the perfect car to match its name. Enter Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. First spotted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Bugatti Vitesse (or the Grand Sport Vitesse as some people may call it) is the roadster version of a supercar.

It has an unrivalled performance and is incredibly fast and dynamic but is very comfortable and safe (to drive) at the same time. This open-top roadster is an all-wheel drive 7-speed DSG that is powered by a W16 engine.

It can produce up to 1,100 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,000 to 5,000 rpm and a maximum output of about 1,200 horsepower. The Vitesse can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed at around 233 mph. Its newly developed roof spoiler and wind deflector enable a more relaxed open-top driving even when going at 124 mph.

When people want to know the full performance of a car, there are multiple different factors to consider. Regardless, in many of these cases it is the top speed that true auto fans will consider as the deciding factor whether they admit it or not.

No matter how good the exterior looks are or how comfortable riding in it is, if it is not able to reach a certain speed, then it wouldn't even be considered. It is not just about how fast it is though; but also how fun it is to drive. Below is our list of the 10 fastest production cars.

The term "production" is significant as it means that these cars can be legally driven on the streets. Though race cars, and some customized vehicles, are indeed fast, they are limited to the areas where they can be driven. In addition, we only listed cars that have had their top speeds validated by different media outlets as well as sanctioning groups.

Being able to customize one’s car is what most drivers want. Being John Hennessey sure has its benefits. He had the HPE650 package installed on his 2015 model Camaro Z/28, giving it exceptional performance and amazing aesthetics that he can truly call his own.

Of course, the HPE650 package is one that he himself has devised. One of the upgrade’s main focus areas is the performance of the 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine that acts as the powerhouse of the Z/28 2015 model.

With a horsepower rating of 650 hp, Hennessey’s 2015 Camaro Z/28 rockets through straight roads with the speed not before seen with a Camaro Z/28, or any racing car in particular. In fact, when John Hennessey tested this muscle car to the limit, he received a call from OnStar in order to confirm that everything is ok. His answer will definitely amuse you!

Strong demand for the Cadillac Escalade SUV amid has prompted the carmaker to increase its output. According to Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen, production of Escalades at GM’s Arlington, Texas, assembly site will be expanded to bring over 2,000 more SUVs – which means the luxury brand has an annual supply of 32,000 trucks.

In 2013, Cadillac managed to sell 30,469 MY2014-2015 Escalade and Escalade ESV models. Supply for the Escalade has been tight since its launch last year, with dealers saying that customers who purchased the SUV had to wait for a month or more before receiving their units since the vehicles were being held at the plant for quality inspections and last-minute fixes.

GM product chief Mark Reuss remarked that the carmaker has taken extra time to get the SUV’s hand-stitched interior right. “We’re learning how to make that at rate with high quality,” Reuss said.

While executives at Lincoln say that the 2015 Navigator is a moderate refreshening, the full-sized luxury SUV is actually expected to retake the lead in a segment the brand pioneered in the 1990s but eventually lost to the Cadillac Escalade.

Lincoln is hoping that the 2015 Navigator would serve as a reminder that the brand is still one of the dominant names in the luxury car industry, preparing customers to the real deal after two or three years when Lincoln rolls out a redesigned Navigator.

While Lincoln executives won’t discuss future product plans, industry analysts expect the new Navigator to bear an aluminum body. Lincoln was credited with creating the full-size luxury truck-based SUV segment, rolling out the MY1997 Navigator in 1996.
