The new Audi TT RS – yes, the top version of the German carmaker’s facelifted TT model series – is now officially here. If you could remember, the range-topping TT RS Coupe and Roadster were visually absent when Audi unveiled the facelifted TT model series in July 2018. That got some worried, so Audi is allaying those worries.
As introduced by the brand with the Four Rings, the latest iteration of the Audi TT RS Coupe and Roadster boasts of completely redrawn front end. However, most of us won't be able to distinguish the newest TT RS models from their predecessors right away. It would take discerning eyes – especially those of Audi TT RS fans and enthusiasts – to know how the latest iterations differ visually from the previous model.
For instance, the lateral air intakes on the front bumper are now larger, each divided by vertical strips. In addition, the quattro logo -- in matt titanium-look – is located in the lower part of the gloss black grille that is surrounded by matt black Singleframe. The grille is flanked by LED headlights as standard, or by optional matrix LED units.Read the entire article Facelifted Audi TT RS Coupe and Roadster now available to order
In 1896, Johann Abt started a blacksmith shop in Kempten, Germany. Currently, the company is focusing on projects involving a variety of cars from the Volkswagen Group, from the Skoda Citigo to the Audi R8 supercar. One of ABT Sportline’s latest project is the TT RS, making it resemble its bigger brother more.
Dubbed TT RS-R, ABT Sportsline is only upgrading 50 units each of the coupe and the roadster. Both models will be equipped with a five-cylinder, turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that can produce an extra 100 horsepower more than the standard model - giving out a total of 500 horsepower (368 kilowatts) and 570 Newton-metres (420 lb-ft) of torque. That is an additional 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).Read the entire article Audi TT RS-R gets the ABT Sportsline treatment and 500 hp
Audi is introducing its latest road machines at the Beijing Motor Show – the highly potent Audi TT RS Coupé and Audi TT RS Roadster. These newest iterations of the Audi TT RS Coupé and the Audi TT TS Roadster are powered by a new aluminum five-cylinder engine that provides up to 400 hp, or around 60 hp more than their predecessor.
This power plant in focus is the 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder that boasts of higher power output and performance despite the unchanged capacity of 2,480 cc. This power plant – named “Engine of the Year” six consecutive times – is now of lightweight construction and features lower internal friction and higher power delivery.
This allowed the engine to deliver 17-percent more output than its predecessor while developing up to 480 Nm (354.0 lb.-ft.) of torque available between 1,700 and 5,850 rpm. With these specs, this five-cylinder turbo engine allows the TT RS Coupé to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, while the Roadster can reach this speed in 3.9 seconds. Top speed is restricted at 250 km/h (155.3 mph), but could be adjusted to 280 km/h (173.9 mph) upon request.Read the entire article 2017 Audi TT RS Coupe and Roadster launched at the Beijing Motor Show
Audi may soon launch the so-called TT RS Plus Coupe Quattro 2.5, a more potent version of the RS Coupe Quattro that delivers 340hp, according to a leaked document published by WorldCarFans.
It’s believed that the new model can develop up to 360hp, giving it an extra 20hp that could lead to much higher performance levels if Audi also succeeds at reducing the car’s overall weight. Audi has not released the official details but the leaked document implies that the launch will probably take place this May.
It’s also highly likely that the new variation of the TT RS Coupe will be exclusively offered to the European market, as the U.S. already delivers 360hp even as power is provided by the same 2.5-liter TFSI turbocharged engine.Read the entire article Audi is developing TT RS Plus Coupe Quattro 2.5
ABT Sportsline has given the Audi TT RS a new tuning package that boosts its output to 501hp. In comparison, the stock vehicle offers 340 hp while its previous package had gotten the output up to 420hp.
This latest tuning package, which is named the ABT POWER S, features what the previous one had and adds a new turbocharger. According to ABT’s press release, the “RS” in the Audi TT RS “now more than ever stands for Racing Sport” as it offers “driving enjoyment, sportiness and the feeling of DTM and ADAC GT Masters champions.”
The excellent driving characteristics and tuning of the ABT TT-RS is credited to Christian Abt. ABT sums up its new package as offering “maximum motorsport feeling with maximum everyday usability.” With a 500hp rating, it’s expected that the Coupe and the Cabrio versions of the TT RS will offer an astounding performance.Read the entire article 2010 Audi TT-RS by ABT Sportsline
As part of the campaign for the new Audi TT RS, a new soundtrack has been commissioned to celebrate the distinctly different sound of its evocative new five-cylinder engine. The soundtrack was created entirely from sounds recorded on the move in the new sports car. The track features many high notes of its engine, reminiscent of the World Rally Championship quattros of the 80s.
Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Audi UK's advertising partner since 1982, conceived the track entitled 'Die Funf Zylinder' or 'The Five Cylinder'. We have musician Neil Barnes, from Leftfield, and Nic Rapaccioli, a DJ also involved with the band, to thank for the composition.
They captured sounds that are similar to the effects and instruments from electronic music by recording the car performing a multitude of maneuvers and running at different speeds. The TT RS campaign also features a press advert, art directed to look like an album cover. The execution, currently running in motoring magazines, directs readers to the Audi UK web site and to a mobile site to download the track.Read the entire article Audi marks the launch of the new TT RS with special music track
Turbochargers and timing drive systems for the Audi TT RS and its new 2.5l five cylinder inline gasoline engine will be provided by BorgWarner, which is known for specializing in advanced turbocharger technology. With this unit, the TT RS will be able to maintain fuel consumption at about 25.5 mpg (9.2 liters/100 km) and will be able to accelerate from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds.
In a release, Tim Manganello, BorgWarner CEO, said that several years ago, Audi was the first to combine gasoline direct injection with turbocharging in volume production and that today, Audi is again setting new standards in performance and driving.
To integrate BorgWarner's advanced technologies with Audi's powerful new engines, BorgWarner worked with the engineers from Audi's quattro. Their target was to develop a turbocharger with special geometry and low weight. They achieved this by adapting the manifold and turbine cross-sections. To obtain high efficiency, a relatively large compressor impeller was utilized. The timing drive system manages the increased loads caused by turbocharged engines.Read the entire article 2010 Audi TT RS to use BorgWarner turbochargers
A five-cylinder engine will be under the hood of the new Audi TT RS, which would be available either as a coupé or roadster. This TFSI powerplant – a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine with FSI direct gasoline injection – could develop up to 250 kW (340 bhp) in output and 450 Nm (331.90 lb.-ft.) of torque, or a specific output of 100.8 kW (137.1 bhp) per liter.
The new Audi TT RS – which comes with a quattro permanent all-wheel drive and a high-performance chassis – has become a well-designed high-performance sports car. It is not the first time that Audi made use of high-powered five-cylinder gasoline engines.
Among them was the turbocharged 2.1-liter engine in the Audi quattro. Audi launched the first version in 1980, developing 147 kW (200 bhp). One notable five-cylinder was the motorsport-inspired Sport quattro in 1984, providing 225 kW (306 bhp) in output.Read the entire article Audi TT RS unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show
Bentley Motors’ centenary celebration is just getting started. As the iconic British carmaker unveiled the fastest production SUV in the world so far, it is also celebrating 100 years of existence by unveiling a limited edition collectors’ car – the new Bentley Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner.
Ever since W.O. Bentley founded Bentley Motors on July 10, 1919, the working principle at the carmaker has always been “build a fast car, a good car, the best in its class.” Nearly 100 years since then, Bentley’s celebratory model is seen to live to that principle. After all, the Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner is inspired by the carmaker’s illustrious motorsport history.
In fact, the Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner is paying homage to Sir Henry Ralph Stanley “Tim” Birkin. Considered as one of the original ‘Bentley Boys’ of the 1920s and ‘30s, Birkin wasn’t just a customer but also a racing driver. Back then, Birkin commissioned a series of 4 1/2 Litre supercharged Bentley Blower. One of these was raced by Birkin himself at the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hours. As you may have guessed, Birkin piloted the iconic No.9 Bentley Blower – with power increased from 110 bhp to 175 bhp -- at the race.Read the entire article Bentley celebrates its 100 years with Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner

It also delivers 442 lb.-ft. (660 Nm) of torque, allowing the B4 S to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds for the standard rear-wheel-drive configuration, or 3.9 seconds with the all-wheel drive version.Read the entire article BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 is a more powerful limited edition B4 S

It seems like we are reporting about BMW cars every week. And this week, we are going to talk about the BMW 8 Series, because first, we have been waiting for its arrival, and second, it comes with a handful of technology, as well as two engine options. Therefore, there is no excuse that we don’t talk about this.
Overall, the production 8 Series looks like a toned down version of last year’s concept. The production model now has a long, low nose with a narrow take on BMW’s kidney grille. The hood then continues to a double bubble roof that flows back to a gently sloping tail. Large trapezoidal tail pipes dominate the view from the rear end.
LED headlights come as a standard feature, but these can be upgraded to laser lights. To cut down on weight, buyers can then spec a carbon fiber reinforced plastic, and there’s an available Carbon Package that uses CFRP for parts like the mirror caps, intakes, rear spoiler and diffuser.Read the entire article BMW 8 Series is finally here, with 523 horsepower from its biturbo V8
About a year ago, Swedish professional skier, Jon Olsson shared his bespoke Rolls-Royce Wraith, which he named “George”. The monster has an insane 810 horsepower under its hood, and now, he is selling it for a not so budget-friendly price.
The very first time we learnt about this was at The Netherland’s Auto Leitner, with its selling price of around $324,000 (275,000 euros). When looking at the car, it seems that nothing has changed as it remains to have the exterior upgrades and its heavily tuned engine.
Some of the Wraith’s exterior upgrades include Olsson’s signature camouflage wrap, lowered suspension, and the plethora of LED lights. It sits on a set of 24 inch Forgiato matte black wheels fitted with Pirelli Pzero Nero 285/30 ZR24 tires. It also has a jet powered, carbon fiber surfboard that weighs 18 kilograms (40 pounds). We doubt that the surfboard is included in the package though.Read the entire article Jon Olsson is selling his custom Rolls Royce Wraith
A decade ago, BMW invented the luxury coupe-SUV segment with the X6. And it is only this year that Audi decided to join them with the first ever Q8 SUV. This model is new to the Q family of high riding vehicles, giving customers both versatility of an SUV, and elegance of a five door coupe.
The size of the Q8 is pretty much like the Q7’s dimensions. But because of its sloping roofline design, it looks like it sits closer to the ground. Its wheelbase measures almost three meters (118 inches), a huge cabin, for which Audi says is superior compared to their competitors within its segment, namely the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
Moving on to the Q8’s capacity, it has a larger boot that can hold up to 605 liters (21.3 cubic feet) of your bags when the rear seats are in place, and can be expanded to 1,755 liters (61.9 cubic feet) when folded. To make it easier for us to explain, the boot can fit two golf bags in a transverse direction. As standard, the tailgate is electrically operated, but it can also be had with an electric parcel shelf.Read the entire article Audi Q8 is their very first coupe-SUV model
If The Hulk were to be a car, what would it be? Well, you might want to check out this Mercedes-AMG GT R that is just as green and powerful as the angry monster. But before we get to that, let us first talk about the standard Mercedes-AMG GT which is available in a handful of variations. The standard version is the GT Coupe, pumping out a respectable 469 horsepower (349 kilowatts).
There is also the GT C, which focuses more on performance and has as much as 550 horsepower (410 kilowatts). Meanwhile, the range-topping model would be the track-ready GT R, with the ability to deliver 577 horsepower (430 kilowatts). And last but not the least is the four-door GT. But even with those options, one German tuning shop thinks that the AMG GT could use more power.
So going back to the mean, green AMG GT R that Renntech offers as an upgrade. They enabled it to deliver between 612 and 825 horsepower (456 and 615 kilowatts), depending on the trim. The latter of the two is dubbed as the AMG GT R825. This does not only have more power, but also has a torque of 626 pound feet (850 Newton metres). The extra power is attributed to the larger turbo, paired with a software upgrade, blow off valves, and high flow air filter, among others. Of course, expect the transmission as well as the clutch to cope with the change.Read the entire article German tuner Renntech boosts output of Mercedes-AMG GT R to 825 hp

While info about the BMW M2 Competition has leaked out previously, it’s only now that full and official details have come out. As expected, it has a lot more cool features as well as power gains compared to the M2 coupe.
Let us first talk about what’s under the hood. Well, it has been made more powerful and now comes with a 3.0 liter biturbocharged inline six engine that has an output of 405 horsepower and 406 pound feet of torque. That makes it have 40 hp and 63 lb ft more than the current M2’s engine. This is paired to a standard six manual transmission, and it can hit the zero to 60 miles per hour sprint in only 4.2 seconds.
With the seven speed dual clutch, it can then dispatch the benchmark in four seconds flat. As for top speed, it remains limited to 155 miles per hour as standard, but that can be increased to 174 miles per hour without the M Driver’s package, which is more than the 2018 model with 168 mph.Read the entire article 2019 BMW M2 Competition arrives with M4 engine and 410 hp
