BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 is a more powerful limited edition B4 S

Alpina is releasing a new limited edition model that is essentially a more powerful and more appealing re-creation of the BMW 4 Series. This is the new BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99, which would be sold either as a convertible and coupe versions, with deliveries set next year. As its name indicates, only 99 examples of the Edition 99 will be built.

This new BMW Alpina B4 S Biturbo Edition 99 is a limited edition model of the Alpina B4 S, which was derived from the BMW 4 Series. However, the B4 S is even more powerful and more dynamic than the high performance iteration of the 4 Series – the M4 Coupe. The Coupe version of the Edition 99 can be availed either as rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive (left-hand drive only). The Convertible model of the Edition, meanwhile, is configured as a rear-wheel drive.

While the 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged engine of the M4 delivers 431 hp of output, the 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six mill inside the B4 S offers up to 440 hp (324 kW). It also delivers 442 lb.-ft. (660 Nm) of torque, allowing the B4 S to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds for the standard rear-wheel-drive configuration, or 3.9 seconds with the all-wheel drive version.

Alpina B4 S Bi-turbo is a cooler version than the BMW M4

If you are looking for an awesome car, look no further than the BMW M4. But if you want something more exclusive than that, then you can opt for the Alpina-tuned 4 Series as this will definitely turn heads wherever you go.

Alpina has prepared a kit that isn’t just about the car’s looks as its performance will also be given a boost albeit, not by much. It gets a raise of 9 PS (9 horsepower) and 56 Newton metres (41 pound feet) of torque. The Alpina B4 S Bi Turbo carries out a little more power than the stock M4, thanks to its straight-six 3.0 liter engine. That may not sound a lot, but overall, that totals to an impressive number of 440 PS (434 HP) and 660 Nm (487 pound-feet) of torque in a wide speed range from 5,500 to 6,250 rpm.

For those of you who are interested in this Alpina tuned 4 Series, the white model is on display at BMW Abu Dhabi dealership. The special body kit comes with a custom front splitter, side skirts, and boot lid spoiler. It also has multi-spoke alloys and blue calipers, plus decals from the tuner.

2017 Alpina B4 S Rallye Green based on BMW 4-Series Coupe is the height of exclusivity

Customers who think the BMW 4 Series Coupe is rather ordinary are in for a treat especially with what BMW Individual and Alpina have in store. The best example is presently being displayed at BMW Abu Dhabi Motors, a dealer that looks to be getting the best toys to play around with.

Even with one look, the use of Rallye Green paint on the Alpina B4 S makes the body even more aggressive. Combined with the upgrades implemented by those at Buchloe, it is clear that this is not your standard 4 Series Coupe.

On the inside for example, BMW Individual made sure that the interior of the B4 S would be different from the usual 4 Series Coupe. The instrument cluster has blue dials with the steering wheel showing green stitching. This color theme is in fact the same as that on the exterior. While the usual 4 Series Coupe has a left air vent on its center console, the B4 S instead has an extra display. On the lower region of the console is a special plaque that proves this is not the usual car.

BMW 4 Series undergoes mid-cycle facelift for the 2017 model year

As expected, four years after the current generation of the BMW 4 Series was introduced in 2013 with the BMW 4 Series Coupe, the German premium carmaker is implementing a Life Cycle Impulse.

This is also known as a mid-cycle refresh. BMW gave the 3 Series an FCI in 2016, and this year it is the turn of the 4 Series.

What is good about this mid-cycle update is the fact that BMW is refreshing not only one model of the 4 Series, but all of them. BMW has revised the 4 Series Coupe, 4 Series Convertible, 4 Series Gran Coupe and the M4 for the 2017 model year.

The Association of German Vehicle Tuners (VDAT), in cooperation with BMW AG, will launch a special concept car this year, in line with its "TUNE IT! SAFE!" initiative. The initiative is supported by the Police and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Construction and Road Development. Just like previous editions, VDAT is launching a specially modified vehicle, which this year is based on the BMW 428i Coupé, as mostly tuned by BMW tuning specialist AC Schnitzer. The result is the AC Schnitzer "ACS4 2.8i Coupé." AC Schnitzer tuned the 2.8i engine to 216 kW/294 HP and 420 Nm, allowing police vehicle to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. It features a AC Schnitzer twin sports rear silencer made of stainless steel with the chromed "Evo Racing" tailpipe trims.

The ACS4 2.8i Coupé also features the AC Schnitzer Type VIII Lightweight Forged Wheels in 9.0J x 21" donning "Ventus S1evo" tyres in 245/30 ZR 21 91Y from TUNE IT! SAFE! chief sponsor Hankook. Ensuring the police car’s low, safe road position is AC Schnitzer’s racing suspension that is adjustable in compression and rebound stages. The police car also features other aerodynamic elements like front spoiler, rear diffuser, rear spoiler and rear roof spoiler.

Moving inside the cabin, driving policemen are treated to aluminum pedals, foot rest and "Black Line" handbrake handle as well as a new key holder. Completing cabin’s looks are Velours floor mats.  To turn the BMW visually into a "true" police car, TUNE IT! SAFE! partner FOLIATEC provided the official film decor, with Hella providing the special signalling system RTK 7. The TUNE IT! SAFE! campaign vehicle will be unveiled at the Essen Motor Show on the VDAT stand No. F 104 in Hall 10 from November 29 to December 8, 2013. After that, it will be showcased in other shows across Germany.

At the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, Alpina took the wraps off the new B4 BiTurbo Coupe. As expected, the new sports car is based on the new 4-Series Coupe and it is powered by a straight-six 3.0-liter twinturbo engine that delivers 410 hp and 600 Nm of torque.

Mated to the 8-speed Sport-Automatic transmission with Alpina Switchtronic and using the Alpina sport suspension the B4 BiTurbo Coupe sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds, to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 14 seconds and has a top speed of over 300 km/h (186 mph).

Despite these impressive performances, fuel consumption is just 7.6 l/100 km, while CO2 emissions are just 177 g/km. In terms of design we find the well-known front spoiler with subtle Alpina lettering, a front apron with large air intakes, a rear spoiler as well as a redesigned rear bumper and the signature twin tailpipes.

The new BMW 4 Series Coupe – the fourth generation of BMW’s sporty mid-size Coupe – has been launched. It is said to usher in BMW’s new coupe era. The new BMW 4 Series Coupe exemplifies the essence of the premium segment’s aesthetic appeal and dynamics. It has stylish features that give it a strong presence, making it stand out due to its dynamism and promise of driving pleasure.

Said to be the final chapter in the road to development, the new BMW 4 Series Coupe is the epitome of balanced proportions. The “4” in its name shows off not just its stand-alone design but also how different it is technically from its BMW 3 Series cousins. The new BMW 4 Series Coupe is obviously wider and has a bigger wheelbase compared to the outgoing BMW 3 Series Coupe.

Its dynamically stretched coupe silhouette is significantly lower. Because of this characteristic as well as the usual short overhangs from BMW, long bonnet and set-back passenger compartment with flowing roofline, the BMW 4 Series Coupe boasts a flawless visual balance.

Pictures of an undisguised production version of BMW’s 4-series Coupé, in 435i specification, were captured during a photo shoot. A concept of the 4-series was seen at the Los Angeles motor show as a preview. It will start selling in the later part of 2013 as a replacement of the 3-series Coupé.

From these images, it’s apparent that several of the more prominent styling details of the car will not be carried over to the production version. The lower rear bumper appears a lot more conventional as it doesn’t have the full-width mesh insert and integrated tailpipes seen on the concept.

We could see the razor sharp crease lines of the concept down the length of the bodyside but its door handle has shifted above the bold line that can be seen from the front wing to the rear three-quarter panel.

BMW’s numbering system for its models will be expanded. Next year, BMW will launch a coupe named the 4 series. After a few years, the 2 series (a new number) will arrive. The roles of the 2 series and the 4 series will be similar. Both are meant to boost the brand image of the automaker. The coupe and cabriolet variants of the mainstream sedans will cost higher so that they would win higher resale values.

The odd numbers will be maintained for BMW's sedans and hatchbacks, the 1 series, 3 series, 5 series and 7 series, as well as the X1, X3 and X5 SUV/crossovers. The even numbers will still be used for the sportier SUV/crossovers in any BMW size class. In 2014, the X6 will be joined by the smaller X4. A more compact X2 will come later.

4 series will be the replacement for the coupe version of the 3 series, which made up around 10% of total 3-series sales in 2011. What BMW intends to do with the 4 series is to give its top-selling coupe its own identity. When the 3 series was released in 1975, the two-door variant used a design that’s similar to that of the four-door.

The first images of the new BMW 4-Series Coupe and Cabrio have been released. Codenamed F32, this car is set to be launched in the middle of 2014 as part of a drastic shake-up of the new BMW 3-series range. BMW has chosen to name the coupe and cabriolet versions of the 3-series as 4-series in its next generation so that it could be greatly differentiated from the new BMW 3-Series saloon, which was revealed last week.

This is the same strategy used on the 5-series. The coupe and cabriolet versions of this car are categorized as 6-series, offering their own unique styling and driving experience.

The engines for the 4-series will be leaning towards the new lineup offered in the 3-series saloon, such as a new turbocharged 242bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit for the 428i coupe. The M3 is affected by the use of the 4-series name for the standard coupe. The M4 badge will be used for the coupe and cabriolet versions of the M3.

Bentley Motors’ centenary celebration is just getting started. As the iconic British carmaker unveiled the fastest production SUV in the world so far, it is also celebrating 100 years of existence by unveiling a limited edition collectors’ car – the new Bentley Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner.

Ever since W.O. Bentley founded Bentley Motors on July 10, 1919, the working principle at the carmaker has always been “build a fast car, a good car, the best in its class.” Nearly 100 years since then, Bentley’s celebratory model is seen to live to that principle. After all, the Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner is inspired by the carmaker’s illustrious motorsport history.

In fact, the Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner is paying homage to Sir Henry Ralph Stanley “Tim” Birkin. Considered as one of the original ‘Bentley Boys’ of the 1920s and ‘30s, Birkin wasn’t just a customer but also a racing driver. Back then, Birkin commissioned a series of 4 1/2 Litre supercharged Bentley Blower. One of these was raced by Birkin himself at the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hours. As you may have guessed, Birkin piloted the iconic No.9 Bentley Blower – with power increased from 110 bhp to 175 bhp -- at the race.

The new Audi TT RS – yes, the top version of the German carmaker’s facelifted TT model series – is now officially here. If you could remember, the range-topping TT RS Coupe and Roadster were visually absent when Audi unveiled the facelifted TT model series in July 2018. That got some worried, so Audi is allaying those worries.

As introduced by the brand with the Four Rings, the latest iteration of the Audi TT RS Coupe and Roadster boasts of completely redrawn front end. However, most of us won't be able to distinguish the newest TT RS models from their predecessors right away. It would take discerning eyes – especially those of Audi TT RS fans and enthusiasts – to know how the latest iterations differ visually from the previous model.

For instance, the lateral air intakes on the front bumper are now larger, each divided by vertical strips. In addition, the quattro logo -- in matt titanium-look – is located in the lower part of the gloss black grille that is surrounded by matt black Singleframe. The grille is flanked by LED headlights as standard, or by optional matrix LED units.
