BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 is a more powerful limited edition B4 S

Alpina is releasing a new limited edition model that is essentially a more powerful and more appealing re-creation of the BMW 4 Series. This is the new BMW Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99, which would be sold either as a convertible and coupe versions, with deliveries set next year. As its name indicates, only 99 examples of the Edition 99 will be built.

This new BMW Alpina B4 S Biturbo Edition 99 is a limited edition model of the Alpina B4 S, which was derived from the BMW 4 Series. However, the B4 S is even more powerful and more dynamic than the high performance iteration of the 4 Series – the M4 Coupe. The Coupe version of the Edition 99 can be availed either as rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive (left-hand drive only). The Convertible model of the Edition, meanwhile, is configured as a rear-wheel drive.

While the 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged engine of the M4 delivers 431 hp of output, the 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six mill inside the B4 S offers up to 440 hp (324 kW). It also delivers 442 lb.-ft. (660 Nm) of torque, allowing the B4 S to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds for the standard rear-wheel-drive configuration, or 3.9 seconds with the all-wheel drive version.

Updated 2019 Mercedes-AMG C63 lineup gets digital cockpit, modified drive programs

Mercedes-Benz has chosen New York City as the location to reveal to us the refreshed C63 AMG family. These comprise the coupe, sedan, and cabriolet. In fact, we have seen the pre production models being tested but finally, the automaker has decided to get rid of the camouflage.

Now, we finally see them in the flesh, and we would say that one of the most obvious changes would be the new Panamericana grille that is actually pretty standard across the AMG line. That’s not the only thing it has been given though, as the 2019 C63’s front fascia has slightly been reworked as well. Meanwhile, the rear part gets twin tailpipes with high gloss chrome and a tweaked rear diffuser.

Under the hood of this C63 is a biturbo 4.0 liter V8 that enables it to produce 469 horsepower (350 kilowatts), while the C63 S has 503 horsepower (375 kilowatts). The engine is paired with a nine speed wet clutch automatic gearbox, which has been replaced by the seven speed unit in the outgoing model.

VATH-tuned Mercedes-AMG C63 V63RS delivers 690 hp

Today, the most powerful Mercedes-Benz model you could get is probably the twelve-cylinder S65 and Maybach S650 – as both models have an output of 621 horsepower. However, VATH decided that they would produce something beefier than that, as they took both the coupe and cabriolet versions of the C63 and worked on their 4.0 liter biturbo V8 engine so they could give out a lot more power.

After VATH worked its magic on the C63’s AMG engine, it no longer gives out just 503 horsepower in the S specification. Instead, the V8 engine can now produce as much as 690 horsepower. This V63RS package, which includes the 187 horsepower boost, will cost you right around €12,800 (or $15,900), and that does not include value added tax yet. The upgraded engine is paired to a seven speed automatic transmission. Other upgrades include a new turbocharger setup and downpipe, together with an uprated oil cooler for the engine.

It isn’t just the horsepower that gets a boost, but of course, the torque as well. Before it has been modified, the C63’s standard was 516 pound feet (700 Newton metres), and now, it has as much as 664 pound feet (900 Newton metres) of torque.

2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS rendered as a Coupe, Cabriolet and in AMG guise

During the recent 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, one of the few cars that stood out would be this 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS that made its debut. Because it turned heads, it has inevitably become a favourite among rendering artists.

Some of them may just be for the hell of it, like the Coupe and the Cabriolet. The newest one looks actually quite promising. Imagined by artist Aksyonov Nikita, is a four-door coupe in the range topping AMG guise.

Up front, some of the noticeable changes would be the new bumper and the modified grille that includes the AMG badging. The rear end, on the other hand, gets a new bumper, carbon fiber diffuser and a boot lid spoiler, as well as quad tailpipes.

When Mercedes-Benz unveiled the face-lifted or updated sedan (or saloon) version of the S-Class for the 2018 model year, the carmaker stunned the public with new front and rear fascias, new grille design, new engines and an array of innovative technologies. Of course, it was expected that Mercedes-Benz would also update the coupe and cabriolet versions of its flagship model.

Now, the German carmaker is officially confirming those updates with the face-lifted 2018 Mercedes S-Class Coupe and 2018 Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet models. Both new models will be formally unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

As expected, the updates on the 2018 Mercedes S-Class Coupe were more or less the same as the extensive tweaks implemented on the 2018 S-Class Saloon. For instance, the new S-Class Coupe is provided with new or functionally extended driving assistance systems, integrated Energizing comfort control and the latest infotainment generation.

As part of the Volkswagen Group, SEAT and Audi have access to each other’s products. This means that if SEAT wanted to, it could take on some models of the German premium carmaker and re-badge them as its own offerings. This has happened before, when the Spanish carmaker took on Audi’s A4, made some modifications and rebadged it as the SEAT Exeo.

There is a possibility that SEAT could do it again, but with another vehicle that’s part of Audi’s lineup. SEAT could build on the Audi A5, whose new generation has just been unveiled. That said, SEAT would be able to offer the coupe and convertible versions of the Audi A5 as its own models.

But before we wonder how the new Audi A5 coupe and cabriolet would look like when transformed into SEAT models, we could take a good look at the renderings made by visual artist X-Tomi. These renderings virtually spell out Audi A5 – both the coupe and convertible versions – but with certain visual modifications that identify them as vehicles from SEAT. These modifications are mostly found on the front end of the SEAT Salsa models – the moniker given by X-Tomi. These tweaks include the grille found in SEAT’s new models, the SEAT badge and logo.

As expected, four years after the current generation of the BMW 4 Series was introduced in 2013 with the BMW 4 Series Coupe, the German premium carmaker is implementing a Life Cycle Impulse.

This is also known as a mid-cycle refresh. BMW gave the 3 Series an FCI in 2016, and this year it is the turn of the 4 Series.

What is good about this mid-cycle update is the fact that BMW is refreshing not only one model of the 4 Series, but all of them. BMW has revised the 4 Series Coupe, 4 Series Convertible, 4 Series Gran Coupe and the M4 for the 2017 model year.

Porsche has just unveiled the brand new 2017 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S models! The German manufacturer is planning to unveil to the global public the next generation iterations of its 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2016.

Both models will be available in both coupe and convertible body styles. Meanwhile, all 911 Turbo models now feature as standard the Sport Chrono Package with mode switch and Sport Response button. This package includes the new GT sport steering wheel found in 918 Spyder design and measures 360 mm or 14.1 inches in diameter.

This steering wheel features a mode switch, which is made up of a rotary ring with stepped positions that drivers could use to select any of the four available drivetrain modes: Normal, Sport, Sport Plus, or Individual.

In a recent interview with PistonHeads, Mercedes-Benz product manager Gerd Junginger admitted that it was a mistake not to build an AMG version of the E-Class Coupe and Convertible. According to Junginger, this decision was made seven years ago when AMG has a different strategy. Now, Mercedes-Benz offers an AMG version in almost all the range.

Mercedes-Benz has no rival for the Audi RS5 and the upcoming Bmw M4. The current E-Class Coupe is the perfect car to be an AMG, according to Junginger as it almost looks like an AMG version as it is now. Moreover, Junginger also said that it was too late to change the decision but next time, Mercedes-Benz will not make same mistake.

This model uses the 6.3-liter V8 engine delivering 507 hp, 50 hp more than the standard C63 AMG. Last year in December, Mercedes-Benz introduced the 2014 E-Class Sedan, but that wasn’t the only surprise the German manufacturer was preparing for the 2013 Detroit Auto Show as the new E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet were unveiled today. Just like the sedan, the new models feature new front and rear ends and we must say they do look impressive.

New for 2014MY are the powerful and efficient BlueDIRECT four-cylinder engines that feature pioneering injection technology and new assistance systems that are offered under the heading “intelligent drive”. One of these assistance systems is the Stereo Multi-Purpose Camera found in the vicinity of the rear-view mirror, which provides a three-dimensional view to around 50 meters in front of the vehicle.

This system can detect vehicles that are driving ahead but also pedestrians and a variety of traffic signs. Another system is the Collision Prevention Assist, a system that reduces the risk of a rear-end collision.

The first images of the new BMW 4-Series Coupe and Cabrio have been released. Codenamed F32, this car is set to be launched in the middle of 2014 as part of a drastic shake-up of the new BMW 3-series range. BMW has chosen to name the coupe and cabriolet versions of the 3-series as 4-series in its next generation so that it could be greatly differentiated from the new BMW 3-Series saloon, which was revealed last week.

This is the same strategy used on the 5-series. The coupe and cabriolet versions of this car are categorized as 6-series, offering their own unique styling and driving experience.

The engines for the 4-series will be leaning towards the new lineup offered in the 3-series saloon, such as a new turbocharged 242bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit for the 428i coupe. The M3 is affected by the use of the 4-series name for the standard coupe. The M4 badge will be used for the coupe and cabriolet versions of the M3.

Pricing information and details about Audi’s facelifted A5 and S5 models -- the Coupe, Cabriolet and Sportback models – have been released. These models will start to arrive in dealerships later this year. In the UK, the new A5 and S5 models have a starting price of £25,540 OTR.

Audi will start to take orders starting September and deliveries will begin in December. The A5 Sportback 1.8 TFSI 170PS with a six-speed manual is the cheapest model. It has CO2 emissions of only 136 grams per kilometer. The Cabriolet range has a starting price of £29,450 OTR while the Coupe version of the A5 is priced from £26,490 OTR.

Notably, the 3.2-litre V6 petrol engine in the A5 Coupe and Cabriolet variants was replaced by a new 272PS version of the supercharged 3.0-litre V6 unit. The current 333PS version of this engine, which is used on the S5 Sportback and S5 Cabriolet, will replace the 4.2-litre, naturally aspirated V8 in the S5 Coupe.

We already know that Audi is producing the A1 and A2 superminis but it has only recently announced that it is coming up with a new Audi A9.

CEO Rupert Stadler and R&D chief Michael Dick are currently focused on a full-size two-door flagship that will likely be based on the current A8. The high-end four-seater is known internally as A9. It has been fitted with a bespoke exterior and features an interior that has evolved from that of the A8.

The A9 will be assembled in Neckarsulm together with the saloon and the R8. It could arrive as soon as 2014 in a coupe version. Sources who have seen the initial design sketches say that the A9 is very striking.

Porsche announced today two new additions to its lineup: the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe and Cabriolet. That’s right, the 911 Carrera GTS is now available with the all-wheel drive Porsche Traction Management (PTM). Under the hood, we find the same 3.8-liter, six-cylinder Carrera S engine delivering a total output of 408 hp (300 kW) at 7,300 rpm and 420 Nm of torque.

The 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe is able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds, while the Cabriolet needs 4.8 seconds.

The vehicles are offered as standard with a six-speed manual transmission, but when using the Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) seven-speed transmission, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, while the Cabriolet hits the same speed in 4.6 seconds.

Volkswagen has confirmed that the facelifted version of Volkswagen's Eos coupe-cabriolet will have a starting price of £22,895. Launched at the latest Los Angeles Motor Show before it arrived at UK showrooms in January 2011, the revised model is the latest in a long line of recent VW models to receive a Golf-style makeover.

To adopt this style, the Eos was given a re-designed front-end including a new headlight design integrating LED daytime running lights, a new chrome-trimmed front grille and a lower, wider air intake at the bottom.

It also features new fog lights. The Golf’s inspiration is also obvious at the rear as its bumper was redesigned and its rear lights have been squared off. The revisions made on the interior are minimal. It received a new steering wheel and instrument panel.
