Donald Trump’s Ferrari F430 F1 almost failed to sell at the auction

In a recent auction in Fort Lauderdale Florida, Trump’s 2007 Ferrari F430 fetched lower than expectations at only $240,000. Fortunately, after a few moments or just when the car was set to leave the auction floor, the buyer and the seller (2nd owner of Trump’s Ferrari F430) agreed to a price of $270,000.

That means that it still didn’t come out as expected. For one, Auctions America, (the auction house where it was sold) is expecting this vehicle to sell between $250,000-$350,000. The US President first bought the Ferrari F430 F1 back in 2007 and had it for about four years. At the time, the car has only covered around 2,400 miles. Nevertheless, the car still comes with its original manuals, service records and tool kit.

Painted in Rossa Corsa red, the Ferrari F430 has since accumulated 6,000 miles after it’s been acquired by the second owner. Some of its notable features include a set of Daytona racing inspired seats, a CD changer with radio, a carbon fiber trimmed dashboard along with Scuderia Ferrari’s crest at the fenders and dials in signature Giallo yellow. The cabin meanwhile features both beige and light brown colors.

President Trump meets with Big Three CEOs over efforts to open jobs in the US

It seems that the much publicized breakfast meeting between the new President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and the chief executives of General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler was a success, given the optimistic attitudes of the carmakers’ top honchos after the discussions.

Also present in the meeting – which GM CEO Mary Barra called as “very constructive” – Matt Blunt, a former Republican governor of Missouri who now serves as head of a US automaker trade association, Vice President Mike Pence, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and other senior administration officials.

Basically, the meeting centered on bringing more jobs back to the US, which is one of the primary promises that Trump made during the presidential campaign. Discussions also included the possible policies that Trump intends to implement in the auto industry and how he plans to make it more enticing for carmakers to build more assembly plants in the US to create more jobs, thereby keeping jobs in the country.

BMW is not fazed by Trump’s threats, will continue construction of solar-powered plant in Mexico

As BMW continues to pursue its plans for the coming years, President-elect Donald Trump gave out a warning to car manufacturers to prevent them from exporting their cars to the US all the way from Mexico. Bottom-line: The President of the United States is bent on imposing a border tax of as much as 35% for non-locally manufactured vehicles.

It was earlier reported that German carmaker BMW plans on increasing its yearly production capacity by up to 150,000 units in the next two years. In relation to this, the company is currently expanding its production facilities by investing at least $2.2 billion for its new plant in San Luis Potosi in Mexico.

According to his own tweet, the new US President will be imposing a “big border tax” to General Motors and Toyota Motors unless they made plans to build their plants in the US. Trump has also been wary of what other German car manufacturers such as Volkswagen and BMW have been up to recently.
