For Sale in the UK: BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition (RHD)

An RHD (right hand drive) BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition has been listed to be for sale by Romans International, UK’s leading supercar dealership. The first owner of this rare BMW would have had to dish out about £135,000 in the UK. Production of this rare RHD DTM Champion Edition is limited to only 200 units.

BMW revealed the M4 DTM Champion Edition in October 2016 as it paid tribute to Marco Wittmann, BMW Motorsport Works Driver who won the championship title in the same year. In just 2 years since making his first championship win, Wittmann once again held the DTM driver’s title in the 2016 finale. Never before has BMW come out with a special edition model that is so closely related to motor racing.

Unlike the standard M4, the DTM Champion Edition gets an additional 51kW and 50Nm under the hood. As a result of this, the Champion Edition model boasts a zero-100kmh acceleration in just 3.8 seconds with top speed of up to 305 km/h.

Chevy Camaro SS confirmed to reach the land down under in late 2018

In Australia, factories of GM-owned subsidiary Holden, have closed and so the automaker is looking for ways to keep the fans of the performance brand loyal. Despite the fact that the Mustang is the current best seller as it continues to outsell other sports cars in the region, Holden Special Vehicles and Chevy will work together on a plan to introduce the Camaro to the Australian market next year.

In 2018, Chevrolet will be selling the Camaro SS through the same dealer network, according to Wheels Mag. Of course, HSV engineers will convert the left-hand drive Camaro into right-hand drive for Australia. Under the hood, it will still have the 6.2 liter V8, allowing it to produce 455 horsepower (339 kilowatts).

As usual, the Camaro won’t come cheap. In Australia, one could get it for $80,000 AUD ($62,675 USD). For comparison’s sake, the entry level Mustang with a 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine starts at $44,990 AUD ($57,425 USD). On the other hand, for $57,499 AUD ($73,380 USD), customers can get the Mustang GT with a V8 engine that is paired with an automatic gearbox. According to GM, due to the $20,000 price difference, the Camaro and the Mustang are not to be considered direct competitors in the region.

Rare Mexico Blue RHD 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RS up for grabs in the UK

Porsche has created some of the world’s most iconic and timeless vehicles. One of them is the oblong-shaped Porsche 911, a timeless beauty impossible to duplicate. The 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS is one of these timeless beauties and is particularly famous (and coveted) amongst collectors. The 911 was a big hit in the early 70s because of the 2.7 RS, Porsche’s “hardcore homologation special” which ultimately became a fearsome track contender. The year after the release of the 2.7 RS, Porsche wanted to do something out of the ordinary and thus released the 3.0-liter RS, stepping its game up in the race track.

This super rare 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RS is considered to be more special than its 1973 predecessor and is quite a sight to behold for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

To know that these collector’s items still exist is quite thrilling especially for fans and collectors alike. Recently, it has been reported that one of six examples of the right-hand drive Carrera 3.0 RS can be found in the United Kingdom. Let’s take a look.

Rare Pagani Huayra RHD could be yours for a handsome price of 2.37 million USD

It’s pretty neat if you possess something of an extraordinary breed like, say, the Pagani Huayra. There are after all just a total of 100 units ever been built by the exotic car manufacturer. As with every new Pagani supercar, each client can collaborate with the team to help create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece -- where science meets art. Out of the 100 examples however, there are actually two right-hand-drive Huayra’s that came out as part of their deal with Mercedes-AMG— the company that supplied its engine.

For those who have been wondering what happened to the two RHD Huayras, well, a UK dealer has recently listed the exclusive supercar for the price of $2,360,410 (that’s equivalent to £1,849,990 in the UK). On the listing, the dealer said the car comes in the same factory color (Dubai Red) with exposed carbon fiber and glossy top coat protective film. The set of wheels on the other hand is specified to come in silver finish.

Elsewhere, the Dubai Red Pagani Huayra is fitted with black leather for most of its interior finishing. For contrast, the dark surface feature aluminum trims, naked carbon fiber accessories and red stitching to match the black leather upholstery.

Because of the fact that local automobile manufacturer, Holden, has stopped production in the country. Australia is about to lose its homegrown muscle cars now that the Commodore has come its way as the Opel Insignia’s variant. However, Crossover Car Conversions, Australia’s leading import and conversion specialist since 1990, that has a wide array of choices from a Mustang, Camaro, to Ford GT, is offering a right-hand drive Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 as an alternative.

But it isn’t that simple. The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 has a base price of $63,435 with a six-speed manual, and if you want a 10-speed manual, it will cost you $65,830. But it doesn’t end there. Having the car shipped all the way to Australia will means you’ll have to add shipping fees and local taxes. So, getting the ZL1 and then converting it to a right-hand drive will be very costly. In fact, simply swapping the steering wheel will cost you another $33,700 (44,000 Australian dollars), and after adding all the other costs, the Camaro will have a price tag price of around $115,000 ($150,000 AUD).

With a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that can yield up to 650 horsepower (485 kilowatts) and 650 pound-feet (880 Newton-metres) of torque, the ZL1 is actually the fastest Camaro ever, having a top speed of 198 miles per hour (318 kilometers per hour). Furthermore, due to its 10-speed automatic rapid acceleration, it can shift much faster than a Porsche dual-clutch PDK - that in just 3.5 seconds, it can sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour). The 2017 Camaro ZL1 is definitely one powerful machine.

Ford Motor Co. plans to develop a right-hand-drive variant of the Ford Mustang when it is redesigned for its 50th anniversary in 2014, according to a report by Australian daily Herald Sun. The report said the right-hand-drive version of Ford Mustang will sold for the first time in the United Kingdom, Australia and other countries.

The daily said that since the right-hand-drive Mustang is seen to account for fewer than 10 percent of the model’s global sales, Ford will sell it is as many markets as possible to offset additional engineering costs associated with its development.

The organizers of NASCAR and GRAND-AM are planning to stage a United States-based race series for DTM racing cars like the Audi RS 5 DTM, opening a new motorsports opportunity for the German carmaker. Grand-Am Road Racing and the International Motor Sports Association inked a license and cooperation deal with the Internationale Tourenwagen-Rennen (ITR e.V.), which administers DTM racing.

This means that a dedicated platform for DTM cars should be in place in the US by 2016. The agreement complements a similar deal with the Japanese Super GT Championship organizers. Wolfgang Dürheimer, Member of the Board for Technical Development at Audi AG, said the deal means an opportunity arises in the future to race the Audi RS 5 DTM not only in Europe, but also in Asia and North America in premium championships.

Audi has been engaged in motorsport and was frequently successful in the USA during this period. In the 1980s, Audi won three straight victories at the Pikes Peak hill climb in Colorado. In 1988, Audi led the Trans-Am Series, and in 1989 the Audi 90 quattro was the prevailing car in the IMSA GTO series.
