The anticipation for the comeback of Alfa Romeo in the U.S. builds up more with the delays. Apparently, Alfa Romeo has spent a lot of its time on being featured in several Hollywood movies. In fact, the Giulietta will be seen in the “Fast & Furious 6” movie at one of its signature stunts. The movie opens on May 24 in the U.S. In the “Fast Five” movie, two Dodge Chargers dragged a vault through the streets.
But the stunt for the sixth movie is even more ridiculous. The Giulietta will be disembarking from a cargo plane during takeoff. Notably, these Giuliettas won’t have much alike with the hot hatch models on sale in Europe since they will receive many revisions on their exterior and interior for the movie. A variety of engines will be available for the Euro-spec Giulietta.
These include a 1.4-liter turbocharged Multiair engine and 2.0-liter turbodiesel mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Alfa fans are excited for the launch of the 4C in the U.S. that marks the brand’s comeback. However, it’s not yet known when the Giulietta will make it to the U.S.Read the entire article Alfa Romeo Giulietta debuts in Fast & Furious 6 movie
Alfa Romeo has been working on revitalizing its product portfolio, beginning with the Giulia and the Stelvio. Other than those two, the Italian automaker also has plans on adding a larger crossover in the lineup too, but what will that be? Well, if our sources are reliable, the automaker was said to be looking into two new vehicles, namely the 4C and another model that will be the successor of the Giulietta.
Roberto Fedeli, Alfa Romeo’s chief technical officer told Auto Express, said that they will need a few other pillars, to put in the C-segment, as well as a much sportier model, for them to be able to complete the Alfa range of products.
Alfa Romeo is also considering a shortened version of the Giulietta, which will be the shortened version of the Giulia sedan’s platform, and it will likely be a rear wheel drive as well. And take note, that this is a rare territory for C-segment hatchbacks, kind of like the formula of the BMW 1 Series hatch. The thing is, Alfa and FCA will have to make sure that it is worth their time, money, and effort to re-enter that segment.Read the entire article Alfa Romeo will add 2 new models to its lineup: a Giulietta successor and a new 4C
Fast & Furious fans will have to wait longer than anticipated before catching their favorite stars come together again in one big screen. Curiously, there were some murmurs awhile back when Michelle Rodriguez said that she will leave the franchise if the next movie fails to “show some love” for women.
But the latest update comes from the official Twitter account for the blockbuster film. It announced the new release date for the upcoming Fast & Furious. It turns out that the release date has been pushed back for yet another year. Fast and Furious 9 was initially set to hit the theaters on April 19, 2019 with the final instalment supposedly scheduled for release on April 02, 2021. However, that may no longer be the case after the recent announcement.
The reason is unclear as to why Universal/Comcast Corporation has delayed the ninth instalment but a spin-off will likely fill the gap if the new release date will no longer be reversed. If rumors are true, this spin-off will be featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. The main cast consisting of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris Bridges and Tyrese Gibson are all expected to return for the ninth instalment. Ludacris may also be part of the cast but no announcement about the final casting has been made yet.Read the entire article Fast & Furious 9 gets delayed, will arrive at cinemas on April 10, 2020
We hope we got it wrong. Dominic Toretto or “Dom” has turned into a bad guy judging from the latest trailer of Fast and the Furious. Furious fans know that Vin Diesel’s role has always been the good guy. But as his fate has it, he’s apparently turned his back on his family in the movie. That certainly doesn’t look good.
Interestingly, the 8th instalment from the blockbuster film franchise has been named “The Fate of the Furious”. So there must be a lot of twists happening here and there as there is also a submarine. Since “family” has been mentioned more than once, we can expect the story to pick up from there.
From the looks of it, there’s obviously an element of “betrayal”. The poster says it all. It even comes with a statement saying “Family no more” with Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel turning away from each other. Dom’s “family” as we all know are also his friends/crew in the movie.Read the entire article The Fate of the Furious trailer shows Dom as the villain [w/video]
The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta has arrived. Unveiled simultaneously across five locations in Europe with the main event being held in the Alfa Romeo Museum, the public finally got its first glimpse of the latest offering from the European carmaker.
Main design enhancements to watch out for in the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a revised front which consists of a new honeycomb grille, piano black bumper inserts which come with red highlights on sporty models, and a new headlamp and fog lamp surrounds.

Universal Studios has just released the first ‘Furious 7’ trailer and as expected, the new movie will be wilder and above the other titles from the series. As you may know already, in the previous ‘Fast and Furious’ movie Han (Sung Kang) died and the team tries to revenge his death.
Meanwhile, Ian Shawn (Jason Statham) wants to revenge the death of his brother Own (Luke Evans). As a result, ‘Furious 7’ promises to be the best movie from the ‘Fast and Furious’ series with plenty of 3D effects and customized vehicles.
Earlier this year, Paul Walker (Brian O'Conner) died in a terrible accident but as you will see in the trailer, the remaining scenes for Brian O’Conner character were made using computer generated images. Since filming only half-completed when Walker died in a single-vehicle crash, the script has to rewritten to account for his character. Aside from computer generated images, Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, served stand-ins to complete his remaining scenes. It is interesting how the script rewrites would retire Walker’s characters.Read the entire article Universal Studios releases first Furious 7 trailer [w/video]

Chrysler Group is hoping that the latest installment of the Fast & Furious film would drive further demand for its Dodge Dart vehicle. Although the Dart doesn’t play any role in Fast & Furious 6, Dodge is hoping that a Fast & Furious-like advertisement and other marketing ties with the action-thriller will lead to people becoming more aware of the compact car.
Since its launch in June 2012, the Dart was not as saleable as it was expected to be, although Dodge was able made a good comeback in April 2013 by posting 8,099 units in sales. The slow start of the Dodge was partly attributed to the fact that early production vehicles were only available in manual transmissions.
According to Dave Sullivan, an analyst at AutoPacific Inc., Dodge was losing around 95 percent of potential Dart sales since it couldn't offer an automatic gearbox for the compact car. The Dodge Dart, which is Chrysler's first compact car since its dropped Neon in 2005, has received generally positive reviews, although some reviewers hit its performance.Read the entire article Dodge hopes Fast & Furious 6 tie-up leads to higher Dart sales

Driving during the worst of winter in the UK is easier when you have any of the Alfa MiTo and Giulietta models that come with Alfa’s innovative D.N.A. system, which features an All-Weather driving mode. The Alfa MiTo and Giulietta ranges get the intelligent Vehicle Dynamic Control.
Drivers can choose from ‘D’ (Dynamic), ‘N’ (Natural) and ‘A’ (All-Weather) driving modes. When the car is in All-Weather mode, the ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) system constantly tracks the tire grip, its yaw and the steering angle. When necessary, the system narrows the throttle opening and the brakes are applied to the individual wheels to sustain stability. Simultaneously, the VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) system turns more intrusive, perfect for conditions where wheels could be on both snow and tarmac.
In addition, a Mµ-Split control function permits the car to discover traction and control at the same time on two totally diverse road conditions. This works together with the DST (Dynamic Steering Torque) feature that offers steering torque movements to initiate the natural correction of oversteer. Lastly, Hydraulic Brake Assistance also raises the braking pressure and as a result, it lessens the braking distances in an emergency.Read the entire article 2013 Alfa MiTo and Giulietta now available with the intelligent All-Weather control
The latest Fast and the Furious movie will feature the 2013 Subaru BRZ. The rear-drive sports car made quite an impression at the Motor Trend’s World’s Greatest Drag Race 2. There are reports that Subaru has given as many as five BRZs to the “Fast and the Furious 6” crew. It’s probable that at least one will get a full Fast and Furious garb, which includes a full body kit, upgraded wheels, and a lowered suspension.
The main revisions are found under the hood. Even if the stock 2013 BRZ delivers 200 hp and 151 lb-ft from a 2.0-liter I-4, a turbocharger or a supercharger would surely improve the car’s record from its tested 0-60mph acceleration time of 6.4 seconds with a six-speed manual transmission.
In addition, it’s rumored that Fast Six cars such as the BRZ may be featured together with actors like Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who started in the most recent Fast and Furious movie.Read the entire article 2013 Subaru BRZ to be featured in Fast and the Furious 6 movie

The new Fiat Viaggio will start production on June 28 at a new plant in the Changsha Economic Zone in Hunan province. Viaggio, which is Italian for journey, will be the first product of GAC Fiat Automobile, the 50-50 joint venture between Fiat and China's Guangzhou Automobile Group.
Jack Cheng, Fiat China boss and GAC Fiat general manager, is confident that Fiat will be successful this time in China with the help of products like the new Viaggio. He described the Viaggio as “an Alfa Romeo Giulietta” that could be bought with a Fiat price. The Viaggio is actually a reworked version of the Dodge Dart, which is based on the Giulietta.
The official price hasn’t been announced yet. Fiat has set a target for sales to reach 20,000 Viaggio units in 2012 and 100,000 units in 2013. Kicking the market trend where carmaker's average volume dropped by 4.4%, Alfa Romeo gained the third biggest manufacturer volume percentage boost for the year. Alfa Romeo’s Giulietta line will soon have an addition to its family – a wagon. The wagon version is expected to complement the Giulietta hatchback, Alfa’s most popular model. The Giulietta wagon is the first wagon from Alfa since 2008, when its parent Fiat SpA discontinued its Stilo Multi Wagon due to poor sales.
Currently, wagons account for around 25% of compact car sales in Europe and more than 75% in Germany and Italy. The Giulietta wagon is expected to hit showrooms by mid-2013. Meanwhile, Alfa is also set to launch a large crossover and a mid-sized model, the Giulia, and in late 2013. The company will produce them at one of Chrysler’s factories in the U.S. Alfa’s parent, Fiat, controls 53.5% of Chrysler.
Alfa is currently offering only two models, the MiTo and the Giulietta, after it stopped production of its 159 model in November, to give way to the Fiat Panda. The Giulia is viewed as the replacement for the 159. Alfa saw its European sales go up by 21% to 122,401 units in the January-February 2011 period, with the Giulietta accounting for 60% of the European sales through September 2011.Read the entire article Alfa Romeo to offer Giulietta Wagon in Europe in mid-2013
Maserati teamed up again with Alfa Romeo and announced that a limited edition of the Alfa Romeo Giuliettas built on an exclusive basis for the Maserati network will soon hit the streets throughout Europe, as dealer loaner vehicles. Regarding the new Alfa Romeo Giuliettas, these models will use the powerful 750 Turbo Petrol engine (dedicated to the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde) delivering 235 hp but the most interesting part will be the interior as the cars will feature heated seats upholstered in full grain Venere leather in the new shade "Maserati Brown" with electric adjustment, an exclusive "Alfa Romeo for Maserati" plate embellishing the dashboard and the special aluminium kick plate with the names "Giulietta" and "Maserati" engraved to seal the union.

The five-door Alfa Giulietta hatchback can now be ordered with the twin dry clutch semi-automatic transmission ALFA TCT that boosts the performance as well as raises efficiency and cuts fuel consumption. The new Alfa Giulietta features the next-generation ALFA TCT semi-automatic transmission and optional shift paddles located at the back of the steering wheel.
As a result, the vehicle is able to set new standards when it comes to performance, fuel consumption and emissions. The ALFA TCT range includes the 2.0 JTDM-2 170 bhp diesel engine and the 1.4 TB MultiAir 170 bhp petrol, which received the International Engine of Year Award for Best New Engine in 2010.
These raise the appeal of the Giulietta whether in fleet or consumer sales. The 1.4 TB MultiAir 170 bhp Giulietta with ALFA TCT transmission offers a sportiness that enables the car to reach a top speed of 135 mph and to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 7.7 seconds. It’s a feat that the car’s performance is so impressive and yet its fuel consumption and emissions are amazingly low. It returns 54.3 mpg over a combined cycle and 121 g/km of CO2.Read the entire article Alfa Giulietta receives the TCT semi-automatic transmission
