Hyundai has recently revealed the new i30 N hatchback, and now, here we are with the third generation 2018 Hyundai i30 Fastback. It hasn’t been long since the Hyundai i30 first came out, and several variations are already being revealed including the Tourer and the ones mentioned above.
Today, we will be focusing on the i30 Fastback. Visually, it is shaped like a teardrop because of its sloping roofline that ends as an integrated spoiler. This and the fact that it sits 30 millimeters lower than the standard model makes it look sleeker. The front fascia now gets a more chiseled bumper making it look more aggressive. It now comes standard with a set of smart alloy wheels for a sportier look.
You can now get the i30 in any of the twelve colors Hyundai is offering. These colours will give the car its own character, which will match the owner’s personality - solid and metallic finishes are both available. As for the interior, Hyundai will be offering three colours to complement the exterior paint, and one of them would be a Merlot Red shade.Read the entire article 2018 Hyundai i30 Fastback comes with a sleek silhouette
The 2017 Detroit Auto Show (2017 North American International Auto Show) has been exciting and thrilling. Several new concepts and production vehicles were announced and unveiled, with a number of reveals proving to be stunning as well as exciting. One of these reveals is a sedan from South Korea – the new Kia Stinger that will be offered as a 2018 model.
Intended and offered as a five-occupant fastback sports sedan, the Kia Stinger was one of the highlights at the Detroit Auto Show, thanks to its one-of-a-kind GT design and the promise of power for its future endeavors. Many are already expecting resounding success for the Kia Stinger even before the South Korean carmaker has commenced its sales.
Its stunning looks perhaps could be one of the reasons why X-Tomi Design, an auto styling specialist from Tard, Hungary has chosen it as the subject of its new rendition project. Perhaps mesmerized by its evolutionary appearance, X-Tomi Design rendered not only one, but two versions of the Kia Stinger fastback sedan. In a sense, X-Tomi Design is helping us find out how Kia Stinger fastback sedan would have looked like when created as another body style – a coupe and a wagon (estate) in particular.Read the entire article X-Tomi renders coupe and wagon versions of the 2018 Kia Stinger fastback
With the Volkswagen CC on its way out, the automotive world is saying hello to its replacement – the Volkswagen Arteon. Due to arrive as an all-new vehicle for the 2018 model year, the new VW Arteon is expected to be a better version of the current VW CC. While the actual unveiling of the new VW Arteon is pegged to occur in March 2017 at the next Geneva Motor Show, the German carmaker is already providing an early glimpse into the new model.
The 2018 VW Arteon is basically a renamed 2018 VW CC. Volkswagen’s decision to drop the name could be an effort to save the four-door fastback from falling sales. The German carmaker launched the VW CC on the market in 2007, receiving praise for its sleek exterior and ergonomic interior. However, sales of the VW CC in the recent years haven’t been encouraging. For instance, the automaker only sold fewer than 6,300 units of the VW CC in the United States in 2015. Disappointing indeed!
Whether the new Arteon could save VW’s four-door fastback’s from fallen grace remains to be seen. But meanwhile, we could feast on the teaser of the new VW Arteon provided by the German carmaker less than four months into the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. But if we couldn’t wait for March 2017 to come, we could take a review of the Volkswagen Sport Coupé GTE Concept that was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The VW Sport Coupe Concept GTE is basically a preview of the VW CC; and with the CC gone (by name), it previews the new Arteon.Read the entire article Volkswagen junks CC to usher in new Arteon four-door fastback
Mazda has finally introduced the MX-5 RF retractable fastback at the 2016 New York Auto Show. This latest iteration of the MX-5 remains fully able in providing a dynamic and enjoyable open-top driving experience.
However, Mazda is offering this experience on a new dimension that is accessible to a wider range of drivers. The new Mazda MX-5 RF is powered by either the SKYACTIV-G 1.5 or SKYACTIV-G 2.0 petrol engines. Power is transmitted to the wheels either through a quick-shifting six-speed SKYACTIV-MT transmission and an MX-5 RF- exclusive six-speed automatic gearbox.
This new Mazda MX-5 RF comes knocking with a fastback styling featuring a smooth roofline sloping down to the rear. Moreover, its distinct rear roof and retractable back window allow it to offer a unique convertible feeling. Interestingly, a driver could easily deploy or employ the power roof with just a push of a button even while the MX-5 RF is moving at speeds of up to 10km/h.Read the entire article 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF retractable fastback is presented at 2016 New York Auto Show
Mazda has unveiled a saloon version of its upcoming Mazda3 hatchback. The all-new Mazda3 Fastback will be available later this year with powerplant choices of three naturally aspirated petrol engines and turbocharged diesel engine, all of which come with a start-stop system as standard. The brand-new entry-level engine 1.5-litre petrol provides up to 99bhp and returns an average of 56.4mpg when mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
It also emits 118g/km of carbon dioxide, paving way for relatively low road tax. The 118-bhp 2.0-liter engine returns an average of 55.3mpg and emits 119g/km of carbon dioxide when paired with a manual transmission. The 162-bhp 2.0-liter engine returns an average of 48.7mpg and emits 135g/km of carbon dioxide.
The 2.2-litre diesel, meanwhile, provides up to 148bhp, returns 72.4mpg and emits 104g/km of carbon dioxide. Buyers could pair the engines with an automatic transmission, but this will result in a reduction in fuel economy and a hike in emissions. For instance, a Mazda3 Fastback automatic diesel averages 58.8mpg and emits 127g/km of carbon dioxide.Read the entire article 2014 Mazda3 Fastback/Sedan unveiled
The final road trials in Europe of Rolls-Royce’s new Ghost-based coupé are ongoing. This is the first ‘performance’ model to bear the Flying Lady ornament for over the past 50 years. Spy images of the car were taken while testing. It’s believed that this spied model, the fastest production Rolls ever made, will probably already be how the production model would appear.
This new model is being positioned to compete with the cars recently launched by Bentley and Aston Martin that offer increasingly more power. So far, Rolls-Royce has denied reports that it is caught up in a race to achieve the highest power with other major automakers. A tuned version of the Rolls-Royce Ghost saloon’s turbocharged 6.6-litre V12 will power the new coupé.
Its power is given a boost from the standard 531bhp of the Ghost to about 600bhp, says Autocar. It will get a proportional increase in torque. Power is distributed to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.Read the entire article Ghost Fastback (Coupe) will be the fastest production Rolls-Royce ever made
