For Volkswagen fans, we are sure that you know that the Arteon has been on sale overseas for quite some time now. And now, the automaker has good news for United States fans as the midsize sedan makes its debut at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. In a recent press conference at Berlin, Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH), an environmental lobby group based in Germany, continues to strengthen its campaign against automotive industry pollution as it accuses the 500X compact SUV of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) of excessive toxic diesel emissions.
The group has already named automotive company Renault, the Opel division of General Motors (GM) Company, and Daimler's Mercedes-Benz for excessive levels of harmful emissions. DUH campaigner Axel Friedrich claimed that extreme NOx emission overruns have been detected on the Renault Espace, Opel Zafira, Mercedes C Class, and recently a Fiat SUV.
So far, FCA has refused to comment on the issue. The accused car makers denied that they are involved in illegal activities. However, they recognize the fact that some of their vehicles actually release higher levels of toxic emissions when tested in real-life conditions compared to when they’re tested in the norms provided in a prescribed test regime as specified by regulators.Read the entire article German group accuses Fiat 500X compact SUV of exceeding diesel emissions levels

Organizers of the Geneva Auto Show apologized to Fiat after its Web site published a bogus picture of the Italian carmaker’s 500X crossover. The image was eventually taken off the site after Fiat complained that it was not genuine. Fiat has prepped the 500X to replace the Sedici in its European lineup in 2014. Fiat said the 500X will not be unveiled at the Geneva auto show slated in March.
According to a spokesperson for the show, the image had been wrongly taken from the Internet. The spokesperson told Automotive News Europe that they pulled out the picture immediately and offered Fiat their sincere apologies.
The image in question is revealed to be an artist's impression of the 500X, based from an official picture of the Mazda CX-5 compact crossover. The artist's impression indicates a vehicle similar to a full-size styling model of the 500X that Fiat unveiled in Turin in July, when the Italian carmaker previewed the 500L small minivan.Read the entire article Geneva Auto Show organizers apologize to Fiat for posting fake 500X image

It features thick wheelarch cladding and more ground clearance. It will be available with front or four-wheel drive. Fiat said that the 500X aims to widen its customer base by attracting male consumers. Already, the 500 and 500L have gathered a huge number of mostly female fans. Even with its rugged looks, the car can still be easily identifiable as a 500.
They share the same headlamp and tail-light treatments. They also have the same chrome badge on the nose. The side windows are flatter, which means that several of the hatch’s cute bubble-car styling weren’t carried over. As a result, it appears bolder and more solid, especially when combined with the chunkier bumpers.Read the entire article 2013 Fiat 500X: new details revealed
