Ford surprised visitors at the 2019 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan when it introduced the all-new 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, which it touts as the most powerful street-legal Ford so far. The Mustang Shelby GT500 will arrive in Fall 2019, with prices to be announced close to launch date.

2019 Ford Ranger marks nameplate’s US comeback with 2.3L EcoBoost power, FX4 Off-Road version

Last year, Ford confirmed that the Ranger will finally return to the United States market. And here they are now, pulling the wraps off the 2019 midsized pickup. It has an all-new design that was made specially for the US. Having said that, it is slightly different from the Rangers we have been seeing overseas.

One can easily recognize the 2019 Ranger as a Ford even in a pool of midsize pickups. This is because of the horizontal bar grille and its unique vents on the front fenders. The flared fenders give the truck its toughness, while the angled windshield is meant to reduce drag and wind noise. A Ranger logo can also be found on the tailgate. The truck has short overhangs which are meant to improve off-road approach and departure angles. Two variations of this will be available, a SuperCab (half rear doors) and a SuperCrew with four doors.

Ford Ranger is being marketed at those who live in the city, but who are adventurous enough to explore the outdoors. Simply put, the pickup truck strikes a balance between the city and the outdoors.

Ford F Series successfully defends crown as best-selling vehicle in the US in 2016

We are now several days into 2017, and with 2016 just ended, figures for total vehicle sales are now out. Now, one question remains. Who’s the king of sales among all vehicles in the United States in 2016?

No, it’s not the Toyota Camry. While the Camry remains as the best-selling car in the US despite suffering a 9.5-percent drop in annual sales, it doesn’t dominate the overall US vehicle sales. In fact, sales of the Camry are not even half of the overall volume for the Ford F-Series in 2016.

Yes, the Ford F-Series is still selling the most vehicles in the USsomething it has been doing for 35 years in a row. In addition, the Ford F-Series is the #1 truck in terms of sales in the US for a consecutive 40 years. For the record, the sales figures for the Ford F-Series include the F-150 family (like the F-150 Raptor) and the F-Series Super Duty family (including the F-250, F-350 and F-450). However, Ford’s F-650 and the F-750 aren’t counted because they are considered heavy trucks.

Imagine a large city that is clean and green and laden with highly advanced technologies, brimming with autonomous vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians not having to worry about any accident or collision. Certainly, this city is one that starts as a dream. Could it be realized or will it remain just a dream?

Currently, no such city exists. Even in small cities, vehicle accidents frequently occur and the amount of pollution is increasing each day. In a large metropolis, there are the issues of heavy road traffic, lack of road discipline and scarce parking space. In many cities around the world, air pollution has become a major problem, with heavy smog wrapping the urban areas in one sweep every morning. So, if you ask us if a city like this would be possible in the near future, the answer is no. But, we also aren’t saying that it is impossible.

If you ask Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, his answer would be that such a city could be achieved. Bill is heavily betting on the result of the “City of Tomorrow” project initiated by Ford’s City Solutions team in cooperation with different cities around the world and with Bloomberg Philanthropies. According to Bill, the issue regarding cities is not just about road congestion – it is a mobility challenge. He noted that this mobility challenge is a massive issue that affects people’s access to clean drinking water, food and a safe place to live as well as health care and their ability to find a job.

More capable, smarter, and tougher, these are the three words that best describe the all-new 2018 Ford F-150 Pickup from Ford. This latest offering will become a member of the F-Series truck family, long considered as the best-selling vehicle for a total of 35 years and the best-selling truck in the U.S. for 40 years straight.

It was three years ago when the company revealed the first generation of this model. It had fully utilized the military-grade high-strength aluminum alloy for the body. Now the new model is fitted with better engines and sports a new style for both the front and the rear. It even has a number of innovative technologies equipped like the Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection.

Aside from capability, the 2018 F-150 makes good on the Built Ford Tough commitment through a good use of different advanced materials that not only prevent corrosion but also make it more durable. The use of high-strength steel for the boxed ladder frame and the same aluminum alloy of the first generation ensure that the F-150 is lightweight and truly capable.

This year’s iteration of the NASCAR Fusion will be competing for the first time in February at Daytona Speedweeks. Ford has been aggressively preparing its racing vehicle for the major event. Memories come to mind of the same preparations by Ford three years ago.

After NASCAR gave the go-ahead for car makers to create racing cars that are customized according to what characteristics the auto companies want to infuse in them, Ford wasted no time in mobilizing its designers to create a racing version of that model year’s Ford Fusion.

How does the new Fusion race car differ from the production counterpart? By looks alone, both cars look the same but the difference is felt when entering the car. As mandated by the rules of this year’s NASCAR season, a new digital dashboard system will display information to the racing teams through various graphical representations such as bar graphics, numbers or an electronic gauge-and-needle display.

Ford is introducing its all-new F-150 Raptor SuperCrew – now more versatile, more spacious and more agile, as well as tougher and smarter. The four-door F-150 Raptor SuperCrew offers more legroom and comfort to rear occupants as well as more room for storage – thanks to its 145-inch wheelbase.

In comparison, the wheelbase of the standard Raptor SuperCab measures just 133 inches. Its capability and performance are astounding whatever the terrain is, thanks to its purpose-built engine and chassis, as well as suspension. Ford used advanced materials like high-strength steel as well as high-strength, military grade, aluminum alloy to help the new SuperCrew become more off-road capable while still being lighter by 500 pounds than its predecessor.

This allowed the F-150 Raptor SuperCrew to achieve a better power-to-weight ratio for more agile performance even when it’s driven off-road. Since the purpose-built fully boxed frame of the SuperCrew features more high-strength steel than the outgoing Raptor, the new vehicle is considered as the toughest F-150 Raptor to date.

When combined with the sound of the Shelby/Borla exhaust, it becomes distinctively Shelby. The interior is totally customized with a Shelby shifter and it also comes with the unique Shelby CSM badge. The exterior can be quickly recognized due to its functional hood vents, hydro-carbon front and rear grille inserts, Shelby lettering and rear Hydro-carbon spoiler.

Shelby offers three visual graphics packages, which range from “traditional” Shelby stripes to more edgy Shelby checkered flag splash or competition graphics.

When GM unveiled the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra, Ford announced that at the 2013 NAIAS it will bring a concept version of the upcoming F-150 in order to make the buyers wait for its pickup. Well, looking at the Ford Atlas Concept we can say that FoMoCo made us think for the moment as the new concept that previews the next-generation F-150 is impressive.

According to the official press release, the Ford Atlas Concept showcases the design, capability, fuel efficiency and smart technology that will define its next pickup trucks. If the exterior design is impressive, the interior continues the same theme and comes with structural styling cues and features the latest thinking in comfort, utility and refinement.

Ford’s 2015 F-150 pickup truck will debut next month at the Detroit auto show. Two sources told Reuters that the teaser for the next generation F-150 is directly targeted at General Motors. This is a crucial moment for the recently unveiled new trucks of GM, which underwent a bankruptcy restructuring in 2009.

In a research note, Barclays Capital analyst Brian Johnson agreed with other analysts in saying that GM's redesigns were "evolutionary, not revolutionary." This means that Ford has the opportunity to steal attention away from GM’s lineup at the Detroit Show. Ford’s 2015 F-150 is scheduled to be launched in the fall of 2014. In the second quarter of 2013, GM will debut its new trucks -- the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

There’s intense competition between Ford and GM for the full-size pickup segment, which makes up around 11% of the U.S. auto market. It’s apparent in their latest redesigns that they’re focused on different aspects. Ford is more intent on improving its fuel economy. In Johnson’s note, he added that GM’s new trucks will be more closely priced with Ford’s trucks, making it more competitive in the pickup truck segment.

This means that the 2013 Fusion Hybrid will be able to outperform the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid by 4 mpg city and 5 mpg highway and the 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid by 12 mpg and 4 mpg, respectively.

2013 Fusion Hybrid also receives new lithium-ion batteries that save weight and generate more power than previous nickel-metal hydride batteries. Besides the 2013 Fusion and the 2013 Fusion Hybrid, Ford also introduced at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show the 2013 Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid, a vehicle that aims to be the most fuel-efficient midsize car in the world. Set to make its debut this fall, the 2013 Fusion Energi is expected to deliver more than 100 MPGe, a mile per gallon equivalency metric for electrified vehicles.

This means that the car will be able to outperform the Chevrolet Volt with 8 MPGe and with 13 MPG3 the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid model. Moreover, the new Fusion will also receive an updated interior with improved materials, elevated levels of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi models will be equipped with active noise control, a feature that uses the audio system to mitigate extraneous road noise while enhancing powertrain sounds.

In terms of safety, the new Fusion was designed with customer safety in mind and engineers increased its body strength by 10 percent, using more high-strength steels such as boron, and added dual first-row knee airbags and adaptive front airbags that vent and tether to conform to a specific occupant’s size, position and seatbelt usage.
