SEMA Show-bound Future Forty by Superformance is a GT40 replica with Ford GT engine

Visitors at the much-awaited 2018 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show – scheduled from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 -- can expect a wide array of show cars that demonstrate not only various aftermarket parts and specialty services, but also the capabilities for various companies. One of these show cars is the Future Forty from MagnaFlow and Superformance.

Superformance is an American automobile company that creates performance components and full replicas, especially cars from the 1960s like the Shelby Cobra, Daytona Coupe, GT40, and the Corvette Grand Sport. The company and MagnaFlow – a firm that takes pride of its expertise in performance exhaust systems superior catalytic converter technology – have decided enter into a partnership and create a visually exciting fabrication that makes use of a Ford MkI GT40 replica and the engine of a modern Ford GT. The result is what is to be shown at the upcoming 2018 SEMA Show – the Future Forty.

The companies started the Future Forty project by getting a MkI GT40 replica from Superformance. This replica boasts of an exact recreation of the original monocoque and pressed steel roof of the GT40. However, this GT40 replica doesn’t feature the usual naturally aspirated V8 engine, and is instead powered by a mill derived from a modern Ford GT – a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 powerplant.

SpeedKore showcases Robert Downey Jr.’s bespoke Ford Mustang Boss 302

SpeedKore Performance Group, known for its historic and modern vehicles, has just unveiled the custom-built Ford Mustang Boss 302 at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The bespoke vintage car from the 1970s was commissioned by Hollywood superstar Robert Downey Jr. who's famous for his role as Iron Man or Tony Stark from the Avengers film franchise. Downey Jr. spent time collaborating ideas with SpeedKore to restore the Mustang Boss 302’s original design while giving it several modern-day touches.

The muscle car has been equipped with Ford Performance Aluminator 5.0-liter V8 engine with Stage 2 Ford Roush Supercharger and is paired to a Bowler T56 transmission. It is rather sad that SpeedKore hasn’t disclosed any information regarding its performance but as expected, that should probably come out much later.

Embodying the same elements from SpeedKore’s latest projects, the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 also features lightweight carbon fiber materials which are evident on the muscle car’s front and rear spoilers, quarter extensions, fenders, deck lid, hood and bumpers. Aside from shedding tons of weight, SpeedKore has added a Detroit Speed aluminum frame, new suspension, a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and a new powertrain to help catch up with what's trending in the highly evolving automotive industry.

Track-only 2018 Shelby 1000 will be loaded with 1,000 horsepower

Last week at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, we witnessed something that may come as a threat to the Dodge Hellcat, and it is Ford’s latest Shelby Mustang, and it has got a whopping 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts), which is why it was dubbed the Shelby 1000. The automaker’s latest kit can be added onto any 2015 or later Ford Mustang.

Unlike before, the Mustang GT will lose the 5.0 liter V8 that it once had. This will then be replaced by a 5.2-liter V8 from Shelby GT350 that will be added with a 4.5 liter Whipple supercharger that pushes its limit to an estimated 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts). Apart from the new engine, it will also get a new high-flow fuel system, intercooler, ECU tuning, and an upgraded manual transmission.

It will never be enough to just give the Mustang a new and more powerful engine, right? And because all of you probably agree, Ford does too. This is why they are giving the Mustang an all new front fascia, hood, front fenders, rockers, quarter-panels, rear diffuser, exhaust, and widened front and rear tracks. The body now sits on a fully adjustable coilover suspension, and new Brembo brakes for added stopping power. Other parts that have been added are stronger spindles and hubs, hardened wheel studs, and wider wheels and tires.

Vaughn Gittin Jr’s Ford Mustang RTR will make its debut at the 2017 SEMA Show

One of the few people we know who collect high-powered modified Mustangs would be pro Formula Drift driver and motorsports enthusiast Vaughn Gittin Jr. Today, he is back with another installment, and the muscle car will make an appearance at the 2017 SEMA Show on October 31st in Vegas. One thing we expect from it, like all other RTR Mustangs, is a whole bag of horsepower.

From the outside, the Ford Mustang gets the same signature style elements from the previous model. But now, it has a more aggressive front fascia, where the grille is highlighted by LED accenting lights in triangle. It has got a meaner looking front splitter as well as a more sculpted hood too. The exterior is finished off with black accent striping on the hood and side profile, a more subtle lip spoiler, and a new set of high-spoke wheels.

Gittin has not mentioned anything in terms of this particular Mustang’s performance. However, we are guessing that it would have something close to 700 horsepower (521 kilowatts) or probably more when it makes its appearance in a few weeks. So far, the most powerful Spec 3 RTR Mustang had a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 that carries out as much as 670 horsepower (499 kilowatts) and we witnessed this at the 2015 SEMA.

The original classic Ford Bronco has become more relevant lately, thanks to the upcoming release of the all new version of it. The classic 1966 Bronco will make its way to this year’s 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas to be displayed before it heads to an auction later in the year.

In collaboration with WD-40, Vaccar built this custom first-generation Bronco to mimic the many uses of the brand. It had been designed with a unique blue and yellow livery on the exterior, accented with a single black horizontal line that runs through the sides, as well as the mirror caps and blacked out roof. The front fascia gets a bright yellow frame that matches the same shade of yellow around the wheels. There is also a WD-40 logo that is etched on the front fender.

From the looks of it, the Ford Bronco had also been raised up a little and has got a larger set of wheels wrapped in off-road tires. Though not everybody may be fond of the design of the WD-40 themed Bronco, with the blue finish and bright yellow accents - just like that of Ikea. Take note that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Celebrated tuner Zero to 60 Designs revealed that when it displayed its GTT Concept car during the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show (2016 SEMA Show) held in Las Vegas, the model was received well by many of those who participated. However the tuning company said while the most of the attention was positive, the legal team of Ford communicated with the company regarding the concept car. To its credit, said legal team did not issue a cease-and-desist letter but instead wanted clarification with the name.

In line with this and in order to avoid additional confusion, the tuner said that it will be redesigning the logo and that the official name is not the Ford Mustang GTT but instead Zero to 60 Designs GTT. This move to avoid any legal issues is not without basis as such things are common in the industry. California-based Singer Vehicle Design for example had to face legal action initiated by Porsche to make sure that the modified cars by the latter was not made by the former.

Thus the practice now is to name it as the Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer Vehicle Design. It is obvious that Zero to 60 Designs does not want to experience the same with Ford. Zero to 60 Designs though reveals that it has never called its concept car as the Ford Mustang GTT and it is likely that the confusion is due to the phrase being used by several automotive-related publications.

For the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show (2016 SEMA Show), Ford made sure to bring six Mustangs, all of which have been heavily modified.

One of these was made specifically for the 2016 SEMA -- the Pearl Candy Orange Mustang convertible. Among the many features, it has Wilwood brakes, AFE intercooler, roolver bar, Forgeline wheels, body kit, and nitrous oxide system. On the inside is an airbag suspension with the dashboard coming in orange with the entire interior having an orange contrast stitch.

Another example is the one by Speedkore Performance Group which is a modified 2017 Mustang GT fastback. MRT provided a supercharged Mustang variant equipped with the EcoBoost 2.3-liter engine while VMP Performance contributed as well with the customized version of the 6th generation Mustang. The fifth customized model is from Revology Cars which is in fact a 1966 Shelby GT350.

The Ford Mustang is well-known to have a long history of having what may be the most versatile of performance platforms there is. Whether making a mark at a racing circuit or participating at drag racing, the use of the right modifications can lead to victory.

For those who want to get the opportunity to start competing immediately at the tracks, Ford is offering the new Mustang GT4. Officially unveiled during the 2016 Specialty Equipment Marketing Association Show in Las Vegas, the new Mustang GT4 delivers a complete package that customers will surely love.

For the 2016 SEMA Show, there are a number of modified Mustangs being displayed. There is for example VMP Performance’s 2017 GT concept which due to the TVS supercharger fitted on the V8 engine allows for output at 851 hp with torque of 703 lbs.-ft. Another example is the 2017 Fusion Sport Ballistic concept done by Webasto Thermo and Comfort North America. But amidst all of the modified Mustangs being exhibited, there is one unit that stands apart from all the rest and this is the 2017 Hurst Kenne Bell R-Code Mustang. In fact, there will only be 50 units of this model to be produced.

What helps this version stand out is the wide range of gold highlights being placed on the customized body. Then there are the alloy 20-inch wheels that are chrome-plated. Though this version is based on the standard Mustang GT, the Hurst Kenne Bell has a more aggressive look and this is owed to the extended side skirts and splitter on the front with the rear section having the wing mounted on the trunk and a customized diffuser with the quad exhaust tips on each side.

On the interior, there are various changes implemented like being fitted with the Recaro body-hugging seats in the front with a leather finish and a black and pearl white combination. Complementing the seats are the matching stitching found on the door panels and the console lid. Rounding off the customized Mustang look for the interior are the Hurst floor mats.

Ford Motor Company has partnered with Foutz Motorsports to make sure that the new 2017 F-150 Raptor is ready to participate in the Baja 1000. However, since the base version is already a competent and excellent off-road vehicle, the race-spec variant no longer needed to undergo a lot of upgrades. Among the few improvements done are the use of LED for the lighting and fitting in a full race harness.

The fuel cell has been made puncture-resistant and it now comes with racing seats and the safety cage. While the shocks and the springs are retained, they have been improved to ensure that they would be able to bear the additional weight due to the installation of the new kit. Much like the base version, it will have the 4-wheel drive system which has a torque-on-demand transfer case. Meanwhile, the wheels will be wrapped with BFGoodrich K02 tires.

A significant change is that the 2017 F-150 now has a Baja Mode. Once this mode has been triggered, it ensures that the gear shifts are faster with the throttle response being sharpened.

The new 2017 Ford GT supercar has yet to hit the market in early 2018, but a tribute model is already on the way – the Zero to 60 GTT.

Basically a custom Ford Mustang that has been heavily modified to look like the latest Ford GT, the new 2017 Zero to 60 GTT will be displayed in the SCT Performance Booth (Booth #61018) booth at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new GTT – which stands for “Grand Turismo Tribute” was a brainchild of auto designer and lead fabricator Kenny Pfitzer.

To make the base Mustang look similar to the 2017 Ford GT, Zero to 60 Design stretched its hood forward and fabricated a huge air intake. In addition, Zero to 60 molded two large air extractors – both featuring a similar shape to those on the Ford GT -- into the hood and stretched its fenders. The Zero to 60 GTT is provided with huge side skirts that guide air into two large air inlets located forward the rear wheels – a configuration similar to the aero tunnels on the GT.

Ford Racing is introducing a special edition of the 2015 Mustang GT laden with exclusive performance parts from Ford Racing. Dubbed as the “King Cobra,” this Mustang GT custom machine is built to be a high-performance street-and-drag strip car. However, any Mustang customer could replicate the King Cobra by availing of performance parts from Ford Racing.

Jamie Allison, director at Ford Racing, remarked that the company likes to push cars to their limits – something that Ford Racing has been doing for 113 years. Allison added that this is why Ford Racing is excited to do its magic with the all-new, 2015 Mustang. Allison remarked that the King Cobra package represents what Mustang enthusiasts could get with pony cars after availing parts from the Ford Racing catalog. Ford Racing’s director noted that the King Cobra wouldn’t be possible if Team Mustang didn’t build the best production Mustang so far.

As a one-off concept, the King Cobra showcases Ford Racing’s first performance packages available for the 2015 Ford Mustang. King Cobra features Ford Racing’s “Drag Pack” and “Handling Pack,” as well as “Super Pack” supercharger kit that boosts the output of the King Cobra to more than 600 hp. The Drag Pack adds heavy-duty half shafts as well as a rear sub-frame kit with pre-installed high-performance bushings that help enhance traction. On the other hand, the Handling Pack includes front and rear lowering springs -- with the front springs on pre-assembled struts -- lowering the King Cobra by an inch. This pack comes with rear shocks and a stabilizer bar kit.
