Kim Jong-Un, the “Supreme Leader” of North Korea, had been seen rolling off in custom-built Pullman Guard Mercedes limousines when attending special events and exclusive occasions. But just recently, Kim pulled off quite a surprise after he was seen disembarking from a new Rolls-Royce Phantom.
It turned out that Kim has been an aficionado for cars and planes ever since he was a child. This was made demonstrated well when the North Korean leader went to a meeting with United States president Donald Trump in Singapore in June this year. At the time, Kim took a peek at Trump’s Cadillac One presidential limousine dubbed as “The Beast.” This highly customized Cadillac is a nine-ton bulletproof and bombproof that features an emergency oxygen supply, steel wheels and an armor-plated fuel tank. A new version of The Beast has just been unveiled by Cadillac.
On other hand, Kim had been riding on Pullman Guard Mercedes limousines that are derived from the 2012 Mercedes-Benz S600. These limousines were used to transport North Korea’s Supreme Leader around Pyongyang and the truce village of Panmunjom. These Pullman Guard Mercedes limousines were also used in Kim’s travels abroad.Read the entire article Kim Jong-Un’s new Rolls-Royce Phantom defies UN sanctions against North Korea
Once considered the most anticipated sports utility vehicle in the world, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan was the brand’s first SUV. Since it was launch, the ultra-luxurious SUV has been exceeding the Rolls-Royce sales expectations. Now, the Cullinan is made more opulent with a stretched wheelbase version as created by German company Klassen.
Tagged as the Rolls-Royce of SUVs, the Cullinan is meant to appeal to wealthy customers looking for a potent, ultra-luxurious yet highly practical SUV. But the people at Klassen know that ultra-rich people see luxurious mobility as being driven, not being behind the wheel. Thus, cabin space is of utmost importance to them, and luxurious cars with long wheelbase are heavily preferred. Klassen seeks to redefine the opulence of the Cullinan by creating a long-wheelbase version.
Klassen is not new to stretching high-end vehicles. In fact, creating long wheelbase models is its specialty. It has already created long wheelbase version of a number of luxury models, such as the Bentley Bentayga, Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, Mercedes G-Class and the Range Rover Autobiography. With the Rolls-Royce Cullinan tagged as an ultra-luxurious SUV, there is nothing that can prevent Klassen from giving this model a long-wheelbase makeover.Read the entire article Klassen is offering to convert the Rolls-Royce Cullinan into a long-wheelbase model
Rolls-Royce is experiencing overwhelming sales success with its first sports utility vehicle, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. In fact, the ultra-luxurious SUV is surpassing the carmaker’s sales expectations. At this point, some people are already expecting the brand to release a smaller version of the Cullinan. But to their dismay, Rolls-Royce has already shut down the possibility of creating a smaller SUV that would complement the Cullinan.
Rolls-Royce chief executive Torsten Muller-Otvos told AutoCar in an interview that the carmaker has already completed its model lineup when it launched the new Cullinan SUV. The ultra-luxurious utility is the fifth and latest model of the carmaker, joining the Phantom, Ghost, Wraith and Dawn in Rolls-Royce lineup. The remarkable success of the Cullinan is bringing smiles to the top management at Rolls-Royce. According to Muller-Otvos said early sales of the Cullinan have exceeded expectations, calling customer reaction to the luxury SUV as brilliant.
Nonetheless, the British carmaker isn't keen to add a new model, especially a smaller SUV, into its current lineup. Muller-Otvos remarked that Rolls-Royce is already pleased with its lineup, noting that there is no demand for a new SUV model among the brand’s ‘ultra-luxury’ buyers. He said that Rolls-Royce strategy is to maintain its high-end price position -- not moving the brand into lower-price segments just for the sake of getting higher sales.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce has no plans to create a new SUV smaller than the Cullinan
About a year ago, Swedish professional skier, Jon Olsson shared his bespoke Rolls-Royce Wraith, which he named “George”. The monster has an insane 810 horsepower under its hood, and now, he is selling it for a not so budget-friendly price.
The very first time we learnt about this was at The Netherland’s Auto Leitner, with its selling price of around $324,000 (275,000 euros). When looking at the car, it seems that nothing has changed as it remains to have the exterior upgrades and its heavily tuned engine.
Some of the Wraith’s exterior upgrades include Olsson’s signature camouflage wrap, lowered suspension, and the plethora of LED lights. It sits on a set of 24 inch Forgiato matte black wheels fitted with Pirelli Pzero Nero 285/30 ZR24 tires. It also has a jet powered, carbon fiber surfboard that weighs 18 kilograms (40 pounds). We doubt that the surfboard is included in the package though.Read the entire article Jon Olsson is selling his custom Rolls Royce Wraith
Three years ago, Rolls-Royce first mentioned the Cullinan, which came to be the most anticipated SUV in the world. It is the opulent brand’s very first high riding model. However, the automaker actually describes it as “an all-terrain high-bodied car.”
Of course, the Rolls-Royce of SUVs is meant to attract rich customers who are looking for a potent, very luxurious, and practical SUV. The automaker’s plan is to attract a younger generation of successful people who are right in the middle of the so-called experience economy.
The Cullinan features an opening hatch, called The Clasp. This in inspired by an era when luggage would be positioned outside of the car to create more space for the passengers. It is easily accessible with only one touch of the key fob button, opening up the 560 liters (19.77 cubic feet) of cargo space. When the rear seats are down, there will be a total of 1930 liters (68.15 cubic feet).Read the entire article 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV has arrived, priced from $325,000
It is inevitable that there will soon be a fully electric Rolls-Royce vehicle. But it seems that a Rolls-Royce with an electric powertrain will arrive earlier than everyone thinks. We heard that the automaker anticipates releasing the first one within several years. It’s also likely that it will be launched first in China as this is where most of the demand for this type of vehicle comes from.
Head of electric powertrains for the BMW Group, Stefan Juraschek, mentioned to Automotive News that they are looking into electrifying. He also said that to penetrate the Chinese market, automakers will have to think of electrifying different models.
Having said all that, Juraschek also stated that there has not been a final decision made for this yet, and it simply is just an idea. However, other executives have given more concrete statements about the model’s chances. If you recall, CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said last year that “electrification is the way forward.”Read the entire article An electrified Rolls-Royce Phantom is probable due to rising demand in China
Whenever you hear the word Rolls-Royce, average or typical definitely are not words you would use to describe them. The BMW-owned luxury automaker is always looking for ways to give these already fancy cars, even more kick, by offering more configurations to satisfy deep pocketed customers who have exclusive taste.
For instance, we just learned that there will soon be a special edition version of the lavish Wraith coupe, with extra bits here and there. And it comes as no surprise that this will only be limited to 55 units. The special edition model gets inspiration from “those who lead where others follow”. The special edition will be dressed in Sunburst Grey paint with copper accents, but that is not the only thing that makes this Wraith so unique.
Just like the rest of the Rolls-Royces, the source of the magic is inside the luxurious cabin where the starlight headliner has been improved quite a bit. Firstly, it had been handwoven. Second, this weave consists of 1,340 fiber optic lights that illuminate eight shooting stars that fire at random. It actually takes almost 20 hours to configure this effect, which is predominantly observed over the front seats. All these contribute to the brand’s aim to raise the Wraith’s owner-driver appeal.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary Collection features star headliner with 1,340 fiber optic lights
Finally, another automaker is getting on the SUV bandwagon. About to reveal its very first SUV is Rolls-Royce, which stated that “the wait is almost over” as it prepares to introduce Goodwood’s “High Sided Vehicle”.
BMW Group’s high end marque also shared plans of carrying over the model’s codename by deciding to baptize the new model as “Cullinan”. In fact, Cullinan was the working title about a couple of months ago, and all of a sudden, it is ready to make history - being Rolls Royce’s first-ever SUV.
The name of the car originated from Cullinan Diamond, which is the largest gem quality rough diamond ever found, with a weight of 3,106.75 carats (621.35g), according to Wikipedia. It was in1905 when this was discovered in South Africa’s Magaliesberg Mountains and was then named after the mine’s chairman, Thomas Cullinan.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce finally confirms Cullinan nameplate for its first-ever SUV
Automotive News announced that the loyal customers of Rolls-Royce will be among the first to see the new Cullinan SUV that will be unwrapped behind closed doors. Meanwhile, the general public and the press will have to wait until the latter part of the summer before they can see the much anticipated model for themselves.
If you were not aware, Cullinan is actually just a codename for the automaker’s SUV project. And even if the production version will have a different name, the automaker has yet to inform us what it is. Another thing we noticed is that the automaker refers to the vehicle as a “High Sided Vehicle” instead of an “SUV”.
As you can see in the photos, the Cullinan gets a boxier and more chiseled body, where the front end appears to be very similar to the Phantom. This includes the rectangular LED taillights and the thin intakes underneath them.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce regulars will witness private debut of Cullinan SUV
Being able to afford a Rolls-Royce means that you have made it to the top of the chain so you probably don’t want to be subtle about it. You’d likely want one that’s painted in a bright, flashy colour. In this case, this RR Wraith that’s painted by the guys from Goodwood in a unique shade of Java Green is perfect for you. This eye-catching hue isn’t new. In fact, its parent company BMW has been offering this colour for quite some time now.
But then, this color is frequently seen on supercars, not so much on this luxurious coupe. So for this colour to appear on the Wraith is a bit of an oddity. But why not paint a rare car in a colour that you don’t normally see on it, right? It just makes it even more special, in our humble opinion.
When looking at this example with the dark theme applied onto the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, it actually makes us think that we are dealing with the Black Badge edition that features a couple of black styling accents on the exterior. However, Rolls Royce denied this and said that it is not just an ordinary black shade because the hue was made even more intense than a normal black colour. This was also done after giving the paint multiple layers.Read the entire article This Java Green Rolls-Royce Wraith can be yours for $411K
The very first of the 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom has just rolled off the production line. And guess what? It will be put on auction at the 2018 Naples Winter Wine Festival. The example looks quite similar to the Phantom that we saw at the HR Owen showroom in London in terms of the colour scheme, but it looks much cooler.
The wine event will take place next month from January 26 to 28 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida. And all proceeds that will be earned from the festival will go to the Naples Children & Education Foundation.
The first example of the Phantom sits on a standard wheelbase, it is painted in a Belladonna Purple hue that contrasts with the Arctic White and Tailored Purple Bespoke interior. The model that will go on sale is what is referred to as the Phantom Ultimate Power Lot. To add to that, it gets the opportunity to be part of the 2019 ROBB Report Car of the Year. It will be sold together with the collection of wines from Alpha Omega, a winery in Napa valley. The organisers behind this event describes it as the ultimate experience for the luxury motoring and wine lover.Read the entire article First-ever 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom will go under the hammer at Naples Festival
As the gift-giving season approaches, Neiman Marcus wants to relieve some of the buyers’ anxiety by releasing its holiday season’s shopping catalogue. Yes, it’s that time of the year once again and while the Halloween parties have not even started yet, the very posh department store wants to make sure that this early, the filthy rich people have their minds made up on the two special items from its catalogue. After all, who wouldn’t want to get a Rolls-Royce Dawn for a present?
If love means to give and take, Neiman Marcus is offering two bespoke Rolls-Royce Dawn this season--- one “for him” and one “for her” (or “yours and mine” to be exact). The 2017 look book is basically a showcase of gift ideas for the coming holidays. It also happens to be its 91st edition. With a design that featured the “Saint Tropez Dawn” and the “Lago di Como Dawn”, both Rolls Royce and Neiman are able to brilliantly display this year’s most special gifts on the wish list.
To tell the difference, the Saint Tropez’s exterior features an orange shade while Lago di Como is in the shade of blue. The “orangey” Saint Tropez’s interior is a mixture of open pore Canadel wood, seashell leather and shades of chocolate and bright oranges. The Coniston blue convertible meanwhile comes with dark brushed metal dashboard trims instead of wood. Its interior mostly consists of Selby grey and black leather, but then both cars will be featuring silver bonnets and silver top fabrics.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce Dawn Yours and Mine Edition tops 2017 Neiman Marcus Christmas catalogue
Rolls-Royce just unveiled the eight generation of its Phantom luxury flagship, launching the British luxury auto manufacturer into a new era. Aside from the upcoming Cullinan luxury sports utility vehicle that will be introduced in 2018, Rolls-Royce is bent on expanding the premium brand from its current scope.
As reported by Autocar, Rolls-Royce chief executive Torsten Muller-Otvos disclosed that the British luxury brand is looking at broadening the brand beyond its existing models. Despite this development, Rolls-Royce top honcho insisted that the brand isn’t in any pressure to grow, since such growth could be “be detrimental” to luxury. Muller-Otvos noted that it would be nonsense to pursue volume since the brand’s customers wouldn’t be happy to see other Rolls-Royces hitting the road.
Luxury brands like Rolls-Royce don’t see higher sales volumes as key to their continued operations. After all, exclusivity has been one of the key selling points of the brand. Affluent customers have been flocking to Rolls-Royce because of the brand’s exclusive nature. In fact, Rolls-Royce’s exclusivity has been proven by the fact that it has been the brand of choice for kings and queens, royalties and even the most powerful people in the world.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce seeks to balance exclusivity and expansion, may soon add special versions and one-offs
The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom was developed by the company for customers who want to have an ultra-luxurious, and ultra-unique car that perfectly matches their personality. With that being said, they have just launched an online configuration especially made for the Phantom.
This site lets customers design their Rolls-Royce exactly how they want it, making it truly their own personal 2018 Phantom. The company always says that you don’t purchase a Rolls Royce, but you commission one instead. Just like a tailor-made suit with your specific measurements, you can now get a car that suits your taste. That way, there won’t be any detail about the car that you won’t like.
The eight-generation Phantom will be riding on an all-aluminum platform, the same as the Cullinan SUV. It will be equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission that is paired with the all-new twin-turbo 6.75 liter V12 with 563 horsepower and 663 pound-feet (900 Nm) of torque. This Phantom is actually ten percent quieter than the previous model when it starts to accelerate.Read the entire article Rolls-Royce lets you customize your uber-luxurious 2018 Phantom with an online configurator
The mere thought of a Rolls-Royce wagon is quite silly. But hey, it didn’t take us long before we realized that it isn’t that hideous after seeing X-Tomi Design’s latest spinoff.
The artist derived its digital rendition from the eighth generation Phantom following the limousine’s official launch in London. Rolls-Royce did come up with wagons way back when there were no SUVs yet. Do you remember the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud from 1959 that the coachbuilder converted into a wagon? There used to be four of them. As a matter of fact, the British automaker did those conversions together with H.J Mulliner and so the idea of a Rolls-Royce wagon isn’t totally new.
“Project Cullinan” instead is now in the works and will be the first sports utility vehicle to be offered officially by the luxury carmaker. Strangely, while Rolls-Royce’s SUV prototype was being developed, several spy shots have actually revealed some close resemblances to the all-new Phantom. It only seems logical since the dimensions of the current Phantom is virtually the same as a truck. The difference is that the SUV gets to sit on a taller platform.Read the entire article 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom Wagon rendering, does not look bad at all
Rolls-Royce has been around for decades now, and we have seen the Rolls-Royce Phantom for eight generations in the span of around 100 years. Of all models, this is probably the most luxurious model, beating all other luxury cars in the market. And that’s saying a lot.
The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom can be customized to boast the utmost luxury ranging from veneers and leathers of the richest shades, to porcelain and gold-plated elements that you can put in your Phantom - basically the best of the best.
But before all that, it has to be equally presentable on the outside. The 2018 Phantom is looking very elegant and superior in its metal exterior, which can be had in a solid or a two-tone design. It has got flowing lines, a nice rear, and it sits on massive wheels.Read the entire article 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom has an all-aluminium chassis, sound insulation, self-closing rear doors
The new 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII is on the way, but still, all we had been seeing are camouflaged prototypes of the eight generation of this iconic nameplate. Fortunately though, images of the supposed Phantom VIII – sans the camouflaged – suddenly appeared, giving people a more vivid idea on how the eight generation would actually look like.
Earlier this year, the very last of the Rolls-Royce Phantom VII left the carmaker’s manufacturing base in West Sussex, England. While it signaled the end of the seventh generation of the Phantom, it also indicated a new generation – the eighth one – is on the way. Given the definite success of the already iconic Phantom VII, fans and enthusiasts are really looking forward to the next generation.
Introduced in 2003, the Rolls-Royce Phantom VII has been a definition of utmost luxury for 13 years. Given the fact that this Rolls-Royce model doesn’t really need to undergo major tweaks in design and style as it jumps to a new generation, the upcoming Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII is expected to look similar to its predecessor. Of course, there would be a number of changes, but that would come in the form of innovations and technologies, instead of design.Read the entire article Chinese website leaks images of 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom sans camouflage
Jon Olsson, a Swedish professional skier, has owned a couple of quite impressive cars including an 800 horsepower Lamborghini Huracan, a 950 hp Audi RS6 Avant, a Rebellion R2K, and Murcielago SuperVeloce Winter Edition. Not just impressive, but powerful ones indeed. This time, Olsson adds his dream car to this lineup - a Rolls-Royce Wraith.
Olsson purchased the Wraith, which he named “George” six months ago. It was then shipped all the way to The Netherlands where Absolute Motors took over to tweak the machine. Initially, the Rolls-Royce coupe was supposed to be given a “crazy off road look” with a set of “cool winter wheels” to match the owner’s needs and personality. However, he ended up going for a simpler customization due to the lack of time, which included a lowered suspension, extra LED lights all over, and a camo body just like his previous cars.
Apart from the customizations mentioned above, it comes with massive wheels perfect for tough winter days - a set of 24 inch Forgiato wheels. To make it more of a utilitarian vehicle, a bespoke roof rack has been added so Olsson can easily transport a carbon fiber jet-powered surfboard, weighing only at just 18 kilograms (40 pounds). A luggage set that matches his collection even came with the customized Wraith. All the windows had been given a dark black tint as well.Read the entire article Have you ever seen a Rolls-Royce Wraith do burnouts?
Swedish professional skier Jon Olsson has always been known for his love of thrill as well as for his penchant for high-powered exotic rides. His latest ride? A modified powered-up Rolls-Royce Wraith with a jet surfboard.
Olsson’s rides, aside from boasting of mouth-watering power outputs, have always sported unique liveries distinct to his personal tastes. From his 800-hp Lamborghini Huracan and 950-hp Audi RS6 Avant to his Rebellion R2K and Murcielago SuperVeloce Winter Edition, Olsson’s has never failed to impress not only his fans, but also other people in the world and that includes us.
Now, Olsson is making waves with “George” – the moniker he has given to his new Rolls-Royce Wraith. According to Olsson, it has always been his life dream to own a real Rolls-Royce. So, six months ago, he shopped for a new Rolls-Royce and thought the Wraith would be suitable for personality. But as far as we know Olsson, he loves to customize. What he does is not just your typical customization, but he always tries to build something different. This can be seen on his other rides, none of which look like a typical model.Read the entire article Skier Jon Olsson’s new ride is this unique 810 hp Rolls-Royce Wraith
