South Korean carmaker Kia has a new version of its Kia Ceed. It performs just like a standard Kia Ceed but it does look similar to the high-performance Kia Ceed GT. Kia believes that this new offering – the all-new Kia Ceed GT Line -- will strengthen the appeal of its new mid-size family car range.
The new Kia Ceed GT Line, which Kia has just unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, can be availed on every version of the new Ceed (Ceed five-door hatchback and Ceed Sportswagon). On the other hand, the ProCeed shooting brake variant comes standard as the Kia ProCeed GT Line.
On the exterior, the new Kia Ceed GT Line is laden with unique GT-inspired design elements a satin chrome and gloss black ‘tiger-nose’ grille surround, newly designed front and rear bumpers similar to that of the Ceed GT and ProCeed GT. Horizontal metallic ‘blades’ are found on the fog lamp surround. A new hot hatch is ready to carry the high-performance will of South Korean carmaker Kia Motors. Designed, developed, engineered, and built in Europe, the new 2019 Kia Ceed could be considered as a more practical and more versatile version of the Hyundai Veloster Turbo, having the same engine and same power underneath their hoods.
Kia engineered and developed the new Ceed GT exclusively for European drivers and roads. It underwent six months of additional testing to ensure that the hot hatch is more agile and more engaging to drive.
The new Kia Ceed GT sits 5 mm lower than the standard Ceed and Ceed Sportswagon, allowing it to have a lower center of gravity. To offer a more assured ride without compromising drive comfort, the front and rear springs were made stiffer while the responses to steering inputs have been improved. Kia is introducing a five-door version of the pro_cee’d GT -- the cee’d GT. The five-door performance model carries the pro_cee’d GT’s styling and equipment level. It is available in two versions – the cee’d GT (£20,495), and the cee’d GT Tech (£22,995). Both versions are powered by a turbocharged version of Kia’s 1.6-liter direct-injection petrol engine.
The 1.6-litre ‘Gamma’ engine that powers the GT is the first turbocharged petrol unit offered by Kia in the United Kingdom. It boasts of being 51-percent more powerful than the normal Gamma direct-injection engine.

Kia revealed that both the cee’d GT and pro_cee’d GT will be officially debuting during the 83rd Salon International de l’Automobile. Specifically, it will be presented on March 5, 2013, at Geneva. The brand also disclosed that making its world premiere will be its very own new and racy urban concept. To be presented as well will be the new Carens and the improved Optima Hybrid.
According to the brand, both the cee’d GT and the pro_cee’d GT will be joining Europe’s most high-profile segment. Kia added that these two models are slated to become the brand’s most performance-focused production models. According to the German premium carmaker, the production version of the Audi e-tron GT concept is set to arrive in around two years. This means that could expect the third member of the e-tron family by late 2020, with initial deliveries set in early 2021. It follows the Audi e-tron SUV as well as the Audi e‑tron Sportback scheduled for 2019.

The up-and-coming Audi E-tron GT four-door sports car is one of the electric cars that the premium carmaker has promised to deliver before 2025. But as early as now, some details have emerged about the new electric offering from Audi, as divulged by two of the company’s top men to Autocar.
First up is the expected distance that the Audi E-tron GT can travel in a single charge using just electricity. As reported by Autocar, Siegfried Pint, who serves as Technical Director Powertrain Integration at Audi, remarked that the new E-tron GT will have an electric range similar to the E-tron electric SUV. Since the E-tron SUV offers a range of 248 miles (400 km) as per WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure). Nonetheless, he noted that this range would be achieve without hindering potential of the E-tron GT four-door sports car, as this new EV would be “focused more towards power.”
Providing the power for the new Audi E-tron SUV is a 95-kWh lithium-ion battery that brings into life its two electric motors (dual asynchronous motors), with a motor placed on each axle for an all-wheel drive performance. The electric powertrain of the E-tron SUV delivers up to 265 kW (355 hp) of output and up to 413 lb-ft. of torque. But when the “boost mode” is activated, the electric motors will also deliver more power to the wheels, to up to 300 kW (402 hp) of output and up to 490 lb-ft. of torque. That was fast! It was only a few days ago when Skoda teased its newest creation – the new all-new Skoda Kodiaq GT coupe-SUV -- through three sketched images. Now, the Czech carmaker is formally introducing online the coupe version of its Kodiaq SUV, revealing a number of details that should excite potential buyers in China.
According to Skoda, the exterior of the new Kodiaq GT coupe SUVis wrapped in sporty proportions. With a length of around 4.63 meters, it is slightly shorter than the Kodiaq SUV. On the front, the new Kodiaq GT is marked by a black-framed grille with chrome-plated dual ribs, as bordered on top by a wide bonnet, on the sides by LED headlights, and on the bottom by a three-dimensional bumper. The new Kodiaq SUV also features a front spoiler with wide air inlets.
When viewed from the sides, the new Skoda Kodiaq GT reveals coupe-like flanks, clear precise lines and a gently sloping roofline, which slope starts from behind the front doors. Finally, Skoda is entering the coupe-SUV segment. However, motorists in Europe or United States won't be able to get a piece of it. Skoda has yet to disclose important details about the all-new Kodiaq GT. Nonetheless, the fact that the Czech carmaker has released three design sketches, Skoda is all-bent to deliver a new coupe-SUV – as based on the Kodiaq SUV – for the Chinese market. This means that China will the only market in the world in which Skoda will be selling four SUV models: Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq and Kodiaq GT.
The new Kodiaq GT will be Skoda’s fourth SUV in China, and will be second exclusive model made just for the Chinese market, after the Kamiq. It will also be replacing the Kamiq as the brand’s most expensive SUV and its new flagship in China. Lanzante Motosport is taking advantage of the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed to showcase its latest conversion project – the McLaren P1 GT By Lanzante. Allegedly commissioned by a rich client from the Middle East, the McLaren P1 GT By Lanzante is essentially a McLaren P1 GTR converted into a Longtail, easily capturing the attention of visitors at Goodwood.
Doing a project based from a McLaren P1 GTR isn't something new to Lanzante. After all, the British racing had been converting the track-only P1 GTR for use on the road. Lanzante also had six P1 GTR units converted to become road-legal P1 LM versions. Five of these P1 LM units were sold while the sixth example was retained as the XP1 LM to be used for development and testing. Interestingly, the XP1 LM managed to set the fastest ever time for a road car on the Goodwood hillclimb of the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, completing the 1.86-km course at just 47.07 seconds.

The outgoing Kia Cee’d nameplate has had a pretty huge success since it was first revealed in 2012, with sales figures of around 640,000 units. However, the segment has become more challenging for the Korean automakers because of how its rivals have improved their offerings, including the Honda Civic, Volkswagen Golf, and the upcoming 2018 Ford Focus. And this is why Kia decided to raise the model’s game as it revealed their all new model ahead of its debut at Geneva next month.
Now, the automaker made a slight change to its name, now turning it into “Ceed”, by taking out the apostrophe. The reason for this is for it to appeal to the worldwide market. Ceed actually stands for “Community of Europe, with European Design”.
Similar to its predecessor, the 2018 Kia Ceed still has the automaker’s signature “Tiger Nose” grille tradition, flanked with ice cube daytime running lights that are pretty standard for them. Immediately after the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, automakers are now shifting their focus to the next major event, and that is the 2018 Geneva Motor Show that will be taking place in March. One of the first companies that have teased us with what’s soon to come would be Land Rover, with their fancy new Range Rover SV Coupe. Now, it is Kia’s turn as they are ready to reveal the sporty GT Line specification for its Rio supermini.
To give you a refresher, some models that are members of the GT Line family include the Picanto, Sportage, Optima and Sorento, and this new Rio GT Line is simply a visual pack that will give the B-segment hatchback a sportier exterior appearance. Up front, there will be a set of four-point “ice cube” LED fog lights, as it sits on a set of 17 inch alloy wheels that you can only get in this version. Kia has also added a few glossy black accents all over the model, contrasted with a chrome window trim and twin exhaust tips.
As for the interior, there aren’t a lot of things to discuss because the Rio GT will have the same interior as the standard Rio models. In fact, the only interior upgrade it gets is that it is now covered in a black synthetic leather and cloth upholstery with grey stitching, metallic accents, and carbon fiber look for the dashboard. Back in the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, Volkswagen showcased a Passat GT Concept at their booth. Though it has been a little over a year since that happened, the automaker has finally come up with the production model of the 2018 VW Passat GT and will bring it at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. And all we can say is that it looks exactly like the 2016 concept. Just without the bold GT graphics on the sides.
So. What does the production model have to boast? Well, it definitely has a touch of sportiness. Both the exterior and interior also got over 20 visual enhancements. The front fascia comes with standard LED headlights as well as daytime running lamps, paired with the bumper from the R-Line. There is also a new black honeycomb grille that replaces the one on the stock unit, and is surrounded by red trim. After all, anything GT must have a hint of red.
There are also black accents all around the car, from the side mirrors, the door trim, to the subtle GT fender badges as well as the blacked out roof. At a time when the first batch of the 3rd generation Continental GT has not yet reached the homes of their rightful owners, we have to say this is something we least expected.
Regardless, Bentley’s Continental GT has been customized by the British marque’s design team to create the ultimate grand tourer of all time — the First Edition. It features a rotating display that lets you switch between three various panels. Depending on what suits your mood, its built-in 12.3-inch touch screen can be swapped with another instrument display that offers three analog dials or if the engine is turned off, the next option showcases a panel display that offers unobstructed view of the dashboard.

Just a month ago, Audi unveiled one of its latest studies -- the new Audi Aicon Concept car -- at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show to show how the carmaker visualizes the future of autonomous vehicles. That concept looked so promising, especially when we take into consideration that it was supposed to be a fully self-driving luxury vehicle in which a ferried passenger just has to sit back, relax and wait for his or her arrival at a preset destination.
Now, here comes the Audi Atom, a concept that also visualizes the future. It looks so promising that it appears like it was a preview for the Audi R8 of the future. There is one big exception, though. This Atom isn’t from Audi. In fact, Audi didn’t even design this Atom. Actually, this Audi Concept Atom is a rendering created by a Russian graphic artist named Konstantin Pankratov who shared this work on online professional sharing site Behance.
Sadly though, Pankratov didn’t provide any detail or description of the Audi Concept Atom. However, we could make assumptions just by looking at this rendered creation. The appearance of this Audi Atom is definitely assertive. However, it isn’t aggressive enough to be regarded as a supercar or a hypercar. Usually, design studies or concept are heavily aggressive and boasts of extra-dramatic designs. If this Audi Atom previews a future Audi hypercar, it should have very forceful appearance. Ford announced earlier this year that it will be giving its 2018 Mustang GT an optional upgrading kit consisting of a larger radiator, six piston brake calipers, high performance tires, and so on. Moving on to the present, Ford unveils the new Level 2 performance package that is billed to fill the huge gap between the Ford Mustang’s most potent GT350 and the initially released performance pack level 1 upgrade.
It seems as if Ford did notice that “gap” from the very start and has been developing the Performance Level 2 for some time already. According to them, it will also come with a new front splitter, a custom rear spoiler, a much lower ride height, an updated steering, a new suspension, and a set of 19-inch Chauncy Eggleston wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Of course, other features from the Level 1 are also present on the new package including the enhanced chassis, improved steering, Brembo brakes with huge rotors and stability control. The Performance pack level 2’s main highlight will be the new set of wheels that are 1.5-inch wider. It has also brought the car much closer to the ground by 0.5 inch compared to the previous upgrade. Not many may be familiar with the Dacia Duster, but for those who do, you probably know that it is insanely affordable. After being in the market for seven years, and after over a million units sold, it is finally going to get a second-generation model. To keep up with the current version, while keeping the costs minimal, Renault’s Romanian division will give the new generation the same underpinnings that will be housed in new exterior body as well as a more modern interior.
With this kind of reports circulating the net, it is unavoidable for artists with Photoshop skills to play with its current look and imagine the 2018 model year. McLaren had just confirmed that they are currently developing the newest member of the McLaren Ultimate Series and they are giving it the codename “BP23”. The British automaker provided photos of the 720S based test mule, or what might be the P1 hypercar’s successor.
The company’s goal for this model is to make it the fastest ever McLaren. Incidentally, it will have hybrid power. When referring to it as the fastest car, this does not necessarily mean that it will be based on lap times like Nurburgring records. There are different ways to measure performance and speed. McLaren says it will soon announce whether the parameters will be top speed, or the 0-200-0 mile per hour time.
Right now, McLaren is using this camouflaged 720S mule to develop the BP23. A lot of us are very excited for the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled to take place in a few weeks. We’re all psyched up to see what cars will debut, which concepts we will see, and what surprises will be in store for us. Here is one thing though, reports suggest that Audi may have something very exciting for the IAA. It’s perfectly timed too as this show is organized to happen only once every two years, alternating with the Paris Motor Show.
There have been earlier news which said that Audi will finally be introducing the production version of the RS4 Avant as a replacement for the RS5 Coupe. Both models come with the same biturbocharged 2.9 liter V6 engine, giving out as much as 450 horsepower and 443 pound feet (600 Newton metres) of torque, paired with an eight speed automatic that gives power to the Quattro all-wheel-drive setup - just like the first ever RS5 Sportback.
Since they will be carrying the same engine, expect the RS4 Avant to perform just like its two-door sibling, except it might take a little longer when doing the 0 to 62 mile per hour sprint) 100 kilometers per hour because of its weight. The RS5 Coupe does the sprint in 3.9 seconds, so the RS4 Avant may hit 62 mph in 4 or 4.1 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 155 miles per hour (250 kilometers per hour). If there is one model that British carmaker Bentley could pay tribute to, it must be the Continental GT grand tourer. After all, the Continental GT is the first model that Bentley has launched since it became a part of the Volkswagen Group. Essentially, the Timeless Series is derived from the Continental GT Convertible, but has been made more contemporary and more luxurious with the addition of an array of exquisite features and design options. Bentley hasn’t said how exclusive – in terms of the number of examples – the Timeless Series is, but as a limited edition, this droptop offers a number of elements that distinguishes it from a typical Continental GT Convertible.
