For those who think that the fifth generation of the Volkswagen Polo is a kinda small, here is very good news. The German carmaker is finally introducing the sixth generation of the VW Polo supermini, and customers would love the fact that it is larger to accommodate both passengers and their cargo.
More than being a bit more spacious, the new 2018 VW Polo features a whole design that is now dynamic. In addition, the new VW Polo is available with a more efficient engine as well as innovative driver assistance systems. With all these attributes, the sixth generation of the VW Polo is set to continue the success story of its predecessors, of which more than 14 million have been sold to date. Interested customers for the latest generation Volkswagen Polo GTI can now order their own units from retailers across the United Kingdom at just £18,850 RRP OTR for the three-door manual version. To avail of the five-door version, a customer just needs to add £630 premium and another £1,245 to avail of the DSG gearbox.
It is powered by a 1.8-liter (1,798 cc) turbocharged petrol engine that provides up to 192 PS between 4,200 and 6,200 rpm (5,400-6,200 DSG). The engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. When fitted with the manual gearbox, the Polo provides torque of up to 320 Nm (236 lbs ft) available between 1,450 and 4,200 rpm.
When equipped with the DSG, the Polo provides torque of up to 250 Nm (184 lbs ft) between 1,250 and 5,300 rpm. The Polo GTI could accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 146 mph. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the 2015 Volkswagen Polo GTI Facelift the new hot hatch that will make its world debut next month at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. As you can easily see from the photos, the vehicle shows a new design consisting of a new front bumper, redesigned headlights, the well-known honeycomb grille featuring red accents, a new rear bumper as well as a new dual exhaust system.

Two days ago, Volkswagen introduced the 2014 Polo Facelift and announced that the new GTI version will be revealed next year. As you may know already, the current Polo GTI is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI engine that generates 180 hp. The current Polo GTI also ditched the 1.8-liter petrol engine in favor of a smaller 1.4-liter that has a combined fuel consumption of 5.9 liters per 100 kilometers, equivalent to CO2 emissions of only 139 g/km.
Although the small engines are a trend now, it appears that the 2015 Vw Polo GTI will return to the 1.8-liter petrol engine as the German manufacturer wants higher torque and power.
The 1.8 TSI engine is already used by the Golf or the Audi A3 or the Seat Leon. According to Volkswagen, the new 2015 Polo GTI will get 12 hp more than its predecessor. German carmaker Volkswagen is now making the latest evolution of the new Volkswagen Golf GTI -- the new Golf GTI TCR. First unveiled as a concept at the annual GTI meeting in Worthersee, Austria, the new Golf GTI TCR is touted to be the most hardcore, most powerful and the fastest Golf GTI ever. Interested customers in Germany can now order the new Golf GTI TCR at a starting price of EUR38,950 (around $44,356) including VAT.
The new Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR is basically the street going version of the same-named racing car that won the international TCR racing series two times. It is powered by a version of the carmaker’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is tuned to deliver up to 286 hp (213 kW) of max output. Power is sent to the wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission – the only option -- with a limited-slip front differential.
With this amount of power, the new Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR is capable of sprinting from nil to 62 miles per hour (100 km/h) in just 5.6 seconds, on its way to a limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Volkswagen’s hot hatch just got hotter for the 2019 model year with the introduction of a Rabbit Edition. The new 2019 VW Golf GTI Rabbit Edition is a special model that pays homage to the heritage of the GTI. It will be available along with three usual trims offered for the 2019 Golf GTI: S, SE, and Autobahn.
Slotted between the S and SE trims, the limited-edition VW Golf GTI Rabbit Edition is distinguished from the standard models through its looks and features. Available only in four colors -- Cornflower Blue, Deep Black Pearl, Pure White and Urano Grey – the GTI Rabbit Edition boasts of an exterior with a black rear spoiler, 18-inch gloss black aluminum-alloy wheels as well as LED headlights with the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) and black mirror caps. Essentially, VW employs the Alltrack moniker to identify derivative models that cater to urban customers with active lifestyles. These customers are people who spend the weekdays in the city, and the weekend off the road. This is why all of VW’s Alltrack models are fitted with an all-wheel drive system. VW distinguishes the Alltrack versions from their base vehicles by making them appear rugged.

The Volkswagen Polo is one car that has made a major mark at the World Rally Championship (WRC). In just a few years, the Polo has scored over 40 wins, 38 podiums and 12 titles. And just the other day, Volkswagen again released a new version of the VW Polo that will be used for competition in WRC. Unlike Skoda, VW does not plan to run a factory team in WRC2, but iw will provide technical support and backup for its customers.
The new VW Polo GTI R5 is set to make its debut in the second half of 2018. Under the hood of the new hatchback is a four-cylinder turbocharged engine that carries out 270 horsepower (201 kilowatts). This engine is paired with a five speed sequential transmission. Though the company has not confirmed it yet, the factory team may compete next year. But this model will also be available for customer teams for the first time ever. The Polo GTI R5 is expected to go through tests in the next couple of weeks, before it goes out in the market by the second half of the year.

Volkswagen recently just announced their first compact crossover for Europe, that is the stylish T-Roc. However, they also made it clear that only the Polo and Golf hatchbacks will be getting the GTI treatment. This means that we should not expect the Passat or Touareg in a Grand Touring Injection variant. With that being said, you cannot stop artists from rendering what they’ve imagined, and this time, it is a T-Roc GTI. That was quick considering that the CUV only made its world premiere a few days ago.
Without a doubt, the sporty version of the T-Roc will get the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine from the Golf GTI that can produce as much as 245 horsepower. The GTI Performance upgrade is currently available in Europe. But just because VW is not planning a GTI treatment for the T-Roc doesn’t mean it will not have any other variants. And sources say that there may be a chance for a T-Roc R that is a little more powerful with 310 horsepower engine just like the Golf R.
This was because Herbert Diess, VW chairman, said a few months ago that he would like to consider a more powerful all-wheel-drive T-Roc R. To further support this statement, sources that are close to Wolfsburg have told Autocar that the company’s head asked his engineers to build a development car. If Diess sends the go signal, then expect the T-Roc R to go on production, and it should be ready after the Tiguan R’s release. Earlier this month, Volkswagen’s annual meeting took place at its hometown in Wolfsburg, Germany. This year’s meeting was focused on the company’s business plan they call “Transform 2025+”. This plan is solely based on hybrid and electric vehicles.
Aside from providing updates on its hybrid and electric vehicles, Volkswagen also addressed what their agenda is when it comes to new models arriving in the next couple of months. And it seems like they have a handful of models arriving sooner than we thought. For instance, they just reconfirmed that the company will begin production of the all-new Polo next month, meaning that in the next coming weeks, photos of the supermini will probably be circulating around the web.
That’s just one of the few models VW will put in production. The T-Roc compact crossover, which is based on the Golf, will also hit the assembly line for the EU market as early as August. So in the next few months, we will finally see the brand new T-Roc with its covers off. The company also said that the compact crossover will be sold in the United States by 2019. Not a few agree that the Volkswagen Polo news a styling overhaul. While this supermini still looks good as it is now, the latest facelift was around three years. One of these visual artists is Kleber Silva of Sao Paulo Brazil. As an automotive designer, Silva had rendered a number of cars and concepts like a pickup version of the Mini Cooper S Countryman and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan. His visual artworks were published at Behance, a Web site that allows designers to showcase their works and for companies to discover them.
Silva’s rendering of the new VW Polo represents an evolution, if not a revolution, of the design of supermini. Its overall looks are very far removed from the current iteration of the Polo. Ever since Volkswagen revealed its first ID Concept, rumors about the hatchback and the next pure electric GTI have grown more intense. It’s probably because the German automaker neither confirmed nor denied the speculations. As a matter of fact, VW head for sales and marketing Jurgen Stackman has also hinted at an all-electric hatch and other possibilities under such a concept.
In a recent interview with Auto Express, Stackman shared his thoughts regarding the GTI formula and how it will change the way people perceive their upcoming compact EVs. Surprisingly, Stackman is quite optimistic about the idea and thinks that with electric vehicles, Volkswagen could deliver a car that is “fun to drive” and “fun to own” at the same time.

Living up to the quality that the GTI has always been about since 1976, the new Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR is no extraordinary. It has been prominent on the racetrack since its launch in July 2015. All production models for the 2016 season had already been snapped up as early as January.
Teams can field the 20 cars in up to 16 national and international TCR touring car championship events. For the international TCR events, the cars will be handed over to sports teams starting March 11 in Abera/Barcelona (E). For the national TCR championship, the cars will undergo test drives at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia (E) starting March 14.
The production-based concept car has already demonstrated great potential at TCR outings. Volkswagen's partner, Liqui Moly Team Engstler, fielded two cars in the 2015 TCR International Series. Volkswagen has unveiled a slew of upgraded trim levels for a number of its nameplates, particularly for its Polo, Golf, and Passat Saloon and Estate models. In lieu of the SE trim comes the new Polo Match, which can be availed in either three doors or five doors.

Volkswagen is releasing a Polo limited premium special edition model – the “Original” version – as a tribute to the first Polo unveiled by the German carmaker. Interested buyers, fans and enthusiasts could claim ownership to one of just 1,000 Polo Original models to be sold in Germany.
Setting apart the four-door Polo Original from others are its door mirror caps in body color, smoked rear lights, and the Polo "Original" emblem on the wings as well as "Original" lettering on the door sill plates. Just in time for the 2015 Goodwood Moving Motor Show and Festival of Speed, Peugeot unveiled the all-new 308 GTi. Available in two versions with 250 hp and 270 hp, the new hot hatch was developed by Peugeot Sport engineers and features several visual enhancements such as exclusive front and rear ends, full LED headlamps, a black radiator grille with horizontal chequered pattern and gloss black finishing.
In addition, the same motif is found on the air intake, surrounded by sequential LED indicators, red detail strip or chrome on Ultimated Red cars, as well as two front spoilers. It is powered by a 1.0-liter BlueMotion TSI petrol unit that emits just 94 g of carbon dioxide per kilometer and returns 68.9 mpg on the combined cycle.

Volkswagen introduced its first Polo BlueMotion model featuring TSI technology. If the previous BlueMotion models used a fuel-efficient diesel engine, now the Polo BlueMotion arrives with a new 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 95 hp (70 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque, while CO2 emissions are just 94 g/km.
Priced from 15,925 euros in Germany, the 2015 VW Polo TSI BlueMotion promises to offer a combined fuel consumption of 4.1 l/100 km (57 mpg), which is 0.2 liters less than the standard version of the 1.0 TSI engine.

Many of you folks were expecting the 308 GTI at the 2014 Paris Motor Show but instead that hot hatch, Peugeot brought the 308 GT. Still, the French manufacturer is working on the 308 GTI and this new model will arrive with 250 or 270 hp. Plans for the new vehicle were revealed during a presentation of the company’s Peugeot Sport arm.
We expect the new 308 GTI to get the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder THP engine used by the RCZ R but also found on the 308 R Concept, developing up to 270 hp (199 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque.
