Buyer gets Aston Martin Valkyrie featuring moon dust into its paint

The Aston Martin Valkyrie is probably the most futuristic looking vehicle that is out today. In fact, it looks like a spaceship on wheels and could perfectly star in a Sci-Fi movie. Having that, it is actually currently being developed by Gaydon, together with Red Bull Advanced Technologies to make it perform even better than it already does.

It’s a limited edition model with only 150 units to be produced. However, every single example has already been accounted for. Now, one future owner of this car revealed to us what he has planned for his vehicle.

The Valkyrie’s style alone is already pretty much out of this planet, as you can see here in 95 percent ready production form. Now, the owner chose to get the Lunar Red paint to finish his car, but with one ingredient the automaker, or the industry has never used before: dust from the Moon.

Lamborghini CEO mulls a car to rival the McLaren Senna and Aston Martin Valkyrie

McLaren has already commenced the production of the McLaren Senna sports car this year. On the other hand, Aston Martin will start building the much-anticipated Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar in 2019. There is no doubt that there is overwhelming interest in these limited-series production cars, and the top honcho of Italian sports car maker Lamborghini won't let such opportunity pass by.

Stefano Domenicali, chief executive of Automobili Lamborghini, has disclosed to Autocar that the Italian sports car maker is seriously considering building an “extreme aero” limited-series production car that would compete against the like of the McLaren Senna and Aston Martin Valkyrie.

According to Domenicali, Lamborghini’s possible new limited-series production car would be “in the vein of Centenario and Veneno,” which are both limited production hypercars that fetched millions of Euros in price. Lamborghini only built 40 examples of the Centenario, of which 20 are coupes and 20 are roadster. The production run for the Lamborghini Veneno was more limited, as only five coupes were built (only three were sold to customers) and only nine roadster versions were produced.

Apollo IE hypercar is now undergoing testing and final development

Here is good news for those who were lucky enough to place an order for the only 10 exclusive examples of the Apollo IE hypercar. Apollo Automobil, in collaboration with technical partner HWA AG, is already testing, developing and preparing the all-new Apollo IE for production.

Apollo revealed that they have been conducting tests for the new IE. The latest of these tests is a multi-day endurance test at the Lausitzring Circuit in Germany. Tested on the circuit were two factory prototypes -- in both road and race configurations.

Norman Choi, Apollo Chairman, remarked that dynamic development program for the new Apollo IE is now at the highest level, the carmaker and its technical partners are thoroughly testing the prototype cars in both road and track uses before they finally build the final units.

Aston Martin shows interior of new Valkyrie hypercar in newly released images

The upcoming Aston Martin Valkyrie is definitely one of the new cars that the automotive world is waiting for. With a total output of whooping 1,130 hp from its immensely dynamic powertrain, the Valkyrie is touted as a hypercar from the gods, and Aston Martin is making a case of it by posting official images of this new creation on Instagram.

Aston Martin released not just one but three official images of the Valkyrie on Instagram. One of these images show the Valkyrie as viewed from top, while another presents the hypercar from the side. Aston Martin was also kind enough to offer a glimpse of the interior of the Valkyrie. The British carmaker said the cabin of the new Valkyrie is minimalistic.

As the image show, the interior of the hypercar is dipped in carbon fiber. Interestingly, the driver takes on a reclined “feet up” position once he or she is behind the steering wheel of the Valkyrie, as inspired by the current Formula 1 race cars.

The 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas in just around the corner (October 30 to November 2), and people are expecting special parts and equipment as well as concept builds to show up. Three of the builds that are going to the 2018 SEMA Show will be derived from the seventh generation of the Volkswagen Jetta, as announced by Volkswagen of America, Inc.

These Jetta builds are the H&R Special Springs Jetta R-Line, Air Design USA Jetta SEL and the Jetta S by Jamie Orr. All of them will be displayed at various locations in the Las Vegas Convention Center on the entire duration of the 2018 SEMA Show.

Wrapped in the Habanero Orange factory finish, the H&R Special Springs Jetta R-Line is a build that highlights the aftermarket suspension offerings from H&R Special Springs. It features H&R Street Performance Coil Overs and Trak+ wheel spacers that brought the Jetta closer to the ground. It rides on 19 x 8.5-inch Rotiform BUC wheels shod with Pirelli P Zero tires. Visible through the wheels are upgraded front performance brake calipers and 13.4-in rotors.

BMW will launch the fourth generation of its X5 SUV to the global market in March 2019. Its high-performance version, the X5 M, would follow but that would take some time. Just in time for the global launch of the new X5 (05), BMW will be offering an extensive range of M Performance Parts, as available through the Original BMW Accessories program. All of these M Performance Parts have a functional purpose, such as enhancing the X5’s aerodynamics or contributing to its already intelligent lightweight concept.

A number of M Performance Parts for the new X5 are made from carbon fiber, giving the SUV a more striking appearance inspired by motor racing. Most of these CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) components feature a final high-gloss polish for further depth effect.

A customer looking for a new Chevrolet Camaro is definitely up for the thrill. At the peak, this can be provided the Camaro ZL1, especially when installed with the 1LE package. But the Camaro ZL1 1LE is no match for the Camaro created by Specialty Vehicle Engineering, Inc. After all, this version of the Camaro – the 2019 YENKO/SC Stage II Camaro -- can deliver up to 1,000 hp of mind-boggling output.

This isn't to say that the Chevrolet Camaro isn't a fast car. After all, even in its “weakest” version, the Camaro is a sports car that still offers considerable 275 hp of max output and 295 lb.-ft. of peak torque from its 2.0-liter Turbo SIDI engine. This is the same engine found in the 1LT and 2LT versions of the Camaro, but with the addition of a number of features.

For those who wanted more, the carmaker is offering the Chevrolet Camaro 1SS and 2SS. They are powered by a 6.2-liter V8 DI engine that can provide up to 455 hp of output and up to 455 lb.-ft. of torque. The Camaro range is topped by the ZL1, which is served by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 DI mill that is tuned to deliver 650 hp of max output and 650 lb.-ft. of peak torque.

Here comes a 6x6 pickup truck that can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. It isn't only mean and fully capable, but is also menacingly fast. We are referring to the all-new Hennessey Goliath 6X6, the latest creation of North American automotive tuner Hennessey Performance (HPE).

The new Hennessey Goliath 6X6 is essentially HPE’s follow-up to the VelociRaptor 6X6, which was unleashed in 2017. While the VelociRaptor 6X6 sounds faster than the Goliath 6X6, the latter is actually quicker on the sprint.

HPE created the Hennessey Goliath 6X6 from a Chevrolet Silverado, in particular from a Trail Boss Z71 model. This version of the Silverado was already a capable machine off the road. But HPE transformed it into a creation that most off-roaders would crave for.

If you are one of those lucky enough to place an order for a final production version of the Mercedes-AMG Project One, here is a good development: Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance arm has already commenced prototype testing of the hypercar in the United Kingdom.

Following its well-anticipated unveiling at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2017), the Mercedes-AMG Project One went into intensive development behind closed doors for several months. AMG’s transnational project team engineered the Project One digitally to ensure that goals can be met when the hypercar is put on the road.

To ensure that the high-performance drive unit intended for the Project One is ready for series production, hundreds of testing hours were spent on dyno testing the whole powertrain, including all of its hybrid components. Once the dyno tests were completed, the high-performance drive unit was installed into the first prototypes of the Project One.

Since 2016, Bugatti has been synonymous to Chiron. After all, the French sports car maker only has the Chiron in its stable since 2016. There is the Chiron Sport, but it is essentially just a track-focused version. There is the Divo, but this hypercar is also track-focused and is produced in very limited number (40 units). Many have been wondering whether Bugatti would offer another model. But just recently, it was confirmed that Bugatti is now ready to build a second model in addition to Chiron.

This confirmation was made not just by anyone from Bugatti Automobiles SAS, but by its top honcho, chief executive Stephen Winkelmann to CarAdvice. During an interview, Winkelmann remarked that he sees Bugatti as ready to do more than one model. This basically steers Bugatti – a part of the Volkswagen Group – into a new direction. The Chiron will still be offered, but a new model could be in the making.

Nonetheless, while Bugatti is ready to develop and launch a new model, it can’t do so right away. After all, the development of a model involves a lot of money. As such, a large investment is required. But Bugatti can’t hope to get such large investment from the VW Group right away – it needs to help. As Winkelmann justified, the VW Group is still stuck in its investments in projects like autonomous driving and electric cars.

It has been a year since Mercedes-Benz unveiled the Mercedes-AMG Project One at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. So far, there has been no or little update from the German premium carmaker. Nonetheless, Mercedes is expected to unveil the production-ready version as well as the final moniker of the Project One next month at the upcoming 2018 Paris Motor Show.

During the year after the Project One was revealed, there has been rumors that Mercedes is also intending to create two more versions of the hypercar. One of these would be an open-top roadster version and the other would a track-only variant that can’t be legally driven on the road. According to TheSupercarBlog.com, Mercedes was planning to build between five to 10 units of the Project One roadster, as well as between 25 to 50 examples of the track-only version.

Of course, Mercedes really had to look into whether developing two more versions of the AMG Project would bring a good case. These two versions – the Project One roadster and track-only model – were evaluated, but evaluations weren’t so positive for them. TheSupercarBlog.com reported that roadster and track-only versions of the Project One were sent to the trash bin in August.

Sir Stirling Craufurd Moss is a real legend in the world of motorsport. Winning 212 of the 529 races he entered, he is considered as the greatest driver never to win the World Championship. The new Ferrari 812 Superfast is wrapped in a dark blue (Blu Scozia Opaco) paintwork with a white stripe and roundels, similar to the livery of the 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione driven by Sir Stirling. Actually, these wrappings are the iconic colors of Rob Walker Racing, the famous privateer that managed to be successful in the world of F1 racing.

Finally, someone thought and succeeded in reviving back to life one of the legends of rallying -- the Lancia Delta Integrale. This comes months after another rallying icon – the Lancia Stratos -- was resurrected by Manifattura Automobili Torino from the skeletons of a Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Now, Automobili Amos is introducing the heavily reworked Lancia Delta Futurista.

The Lancia Delta Futurista is derived from a 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale. Eugenio Amos and his company Automobili Amos embarked on a project to create a car that is “pure, analogic, raw, and essential,” in contrast to today’s vehicles that heavily employ computer.

Amos’ pet project employs the chassis of the 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale as the base. From there, the company worked to make the Delta Futurista stay faithful Lancia heritage in terms of overall. While keeping in line with Lancia’s iconic looks, the Delta Futurista has nearly everything updated. Amos called Delta Futurista as his “romantic vision,” as he has been in deep adoration with the original model since he was just seven years old.

A classic Porsche evolved and optimized by modern engineering techniques and technologies – this is the Singer DLS Porsche 911. Taking part at the highly prestigious 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the new Singer DLS Porsche 911 is a bespoke creation by Singer Vehicle Design and Williams Advanced Engineering that boasts of more power yet lower weight that the model it was based on.

It all started when a customer named Scott Blattner approached Singer Vehicle Design and asked the company to not just restore but also re-imagine his 1990 Porsche 911 (964 Generation) as a more powerful yet lighter sports car. Sensing it needs help for this one-of-a-kind project, Singer approached Williams Advanced Engineering. The collaboration between Singer and Williams to come up with a bespoke creation started around two years ago. Eventually, Singer and Williams, along with former Porsche engineers Norbert Singer and Hans Mezger as well as other technical partners, worked hard to re-imagine the 1990 Porsche 911.

In the process, the partners decided into inject into the project car a number of alluring features. Thus, from a standard two-wheel drive 1990 Porsche 911, born was Singer DLS Porsche 911. The DLS stands for Dynamics and Lightweighting Study, which appropriately conveys the fact that the DLS Porsche 911 is more powerful and weighs lighter than the original model. As it is, the 1990 Porsche 911 is powered by an engine that delivers 247 hp, and weighs around 3,031 lbs. The DLS Porsche 911 has become more than twice as powerful as the original model and around 850 lbs lighter – with output and weight pegged at 500 hp and 2,180 lbs, respectively.
