The Grand Tour host Jeremy Clarkson catches pneumonia in Majorca, Spain

Two months ago, we heard about the accident Richard Hammond got into while taping for a segment for the Grand Tour TV series. This accident forced the Hamster to spend some time off from the show, while James May co-hosts with Jeremy Clarkson.

A couple of days ago, we heard another bad news, but it involves Jeremy Clarkson this time. The 57-year-old TV personality and host had been admitted to a hospital located in Majorca, Spain, during a family vacation. He was diagnosed with a serious case of pneumonia.

We learned about this as Clarkson posted a photo on Instagram of his arm hooked up to an IV. He even makes a joke about it saying that the IV is not his usual accessory when on holiday. According to BBC, he also messaged his friend Jemima Goldsmith on Twitter saying that he is connected to tubes and is seated on a wheelchair in the hospital. Following that tweet was a post on his Drivetribe account as he thanks those who sent him well wishes.

SUV-hating Jeremy Clarkson ends up liking the Alfa Romeo Stelvio

Those who know of Jeremy Clarkson would say that it’s difficult to persuade him once he has formed his opinions. In fact, that may be an understatement for many. Another thing that we know about him is that he is not a big fan of SUVs, or that genre in general, as he thinks that it is a waste of money. However, the general public doesn't seem to agree with him, and still go for SUVs. To add to that, more and more people are shifting to SUVs more than anything else.

Clarkson expressed this as he wrote on his latest article on Sunday Times: "I loathe all the current crop of so-called SUVs, except those I dislike intensely". He finds it "idiotic" driving around a car that is slower, pricier, and consumes more fuel than a saloon or an estate. This guy has so much angst.

But recently, Alfa Romeo invited the guy to head over to Tuscany to test drive the new Stelvio. Naturally, Clarkson already had a negative outlook on this, as it was an SUV made by Alfa Romeo, and even compared it to Armani deciding to make carrier bags. A weird metaphor but we get it.

Find out what Jeremy Clarkson listed as his favorite cars this year

Even though Jeremy Clarkson was kicked out of Top Gear for various reasons, we cannot deny that the guy has been very influential in the automotive world. He knows what he’s saying so people trust him and his reviews even when there are times when he lets his emotions get in the way. Clarkson has a reputation of being one of the best presenters for car review shows and so people give him the credit for which he is due. Aside from his shows, the presenter also has a car review column in The Sunday Times.

Just recently, he shared his top 10 favorite cars of the past year or so. Although there are some who would strongly disagree with these choices, let’s just say it’s all because Clarkson is trying his best to become a “fair and balanced” reporter. Let’s go take a quick glance at each of his picks and decide if there were models for which he had missed and if there are some questionable models on his list.

Clarkson mentions in his article that his co-presenter James May likes to call the certain sensation of driving a really good car “the fizz”. He describes it as something like a manifestation of a car’s excellence on the road through a fizzing sensation down the root of their manhood.

Jeremy Clarkson sobered up for the Amazon deal but will he stay that way?

Cliché as it may be, we have been constantly reminded to not drink and drive. Friday nights can be a little tempting with some slight nudging from a few officemates and before you know it, you’re down on your nth bottle of beer. We all know booze mixed with a few stupid stunts can get you into as much trouble as your mouth and actions can get you.

So while you’re at it, think about downing the next bottle the night before an important appointment because you cannot undo what has been done. Regrets only happen after and never before an incident. This has been a lesson learned by former BBC “Top Gear” host Jeremy Clarkson as talks about a brand new show has been surfacing.

Clarkson has been well known for his gruff demeanour as well as a few antics under the influence of alcohol. But due to negotiations for his brand new show, Clarkson decided that it is time to be sober. Clarkson and his former Top Gear co-hosts Richard Ammond and James May as well as executive producer Andy Wilman have been reported to be undergoing a negotiation process for a $15 million deal with Netflix.
