Lamborghini recently introduced the Aventador S Roadster just over a month ago at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. And already, the V12 powered convertible is going to receive a special edition treatment. The 400 GT model was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the raging bulls, and it will only be limited to five cars. Each one of the Japan edition models will be one-offs since the Ad Personam department and the Cento Stile both gave them unique looks that take inspiration from the five natural elements of Japanese culture: earth, wind, fire, water and sky.
The one you can see in the photos, from its official unveiling in Japan, is the “water” edition. On the same day, the Italian marque also came up with the second edition of the Lamborghini Day Concours d’Elegance Tokyo. In this event, Lamborghini displayed a total of 50 cars. A few of the notable models included here are the gorgeous Miura, the Diablo and Countach. Alongside these were vehicles like the restored Miura SV and a 1976 Countach LP. And guess who won the “Best of Show” award? Well, it was the Countach LP. During the event, the automaker also presented scale models of the other four cars based on the remaining elements that will soon be produced.
Let us not veer away from talking about the gorgeous Aventador S Roadster. The exterior livery was finished by a team of ten specialists by around 170 hours. The paint turns out with a nice finish that contrasts with the exposed carbon fiber that is used for the hardtop and the windscreen frame. There is also a ‘50 Japan’ badge near the vehicle’s rear fender.Read the entire article Special edition Japan-exclusive Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster 50th Anniversary unveiled
It is finally here, a new offering from Automobili Lamborghini that combines the thrill of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ (Superveloce Jota) and the joy of an open-air drive. After unveiling the coupe version last year in the California, the carmaker has taken the wraps off the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
It was August 2018 when Automobili Lamborghini unveiled the V12-powered Lamborghini Aventador SVJ in Pebble Beach, California. A week after, speculations suddenly appeared that a roadster version would be coming after the California Air Resources Board (CARB) issued an executive order that certified four Lamborghini Aventador models: S Coupe, S Roadster, SVJ Coupe, and SVJ Roadster. Since, we have been waiting for Lamborghini to formally unveil the Aventador SVJ Roadster. Now, the newest Aventador can be seen in metal in Geneva.
Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, remarked that the new Aventador SVJ Roadster essentially inherits all the power, performance and innovative aerodynamic technologies of the coupe version but with an added exclusivity of driving in the open air. He added that Aventador SVJ Roadster offers the same extraordinary performance with roof on or off.Read the entire article Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster unveiled at 2019 Geneva Motor Show
Late last year, on September 20, Porsche took the 911 GT2 RS to the Nurburgring in attempt to take down the lap record for the fastest production car around the ‘Ring, finishing in 6 minutes and 47.3 seconds. Now, it looks like its record could be broken again soon, this time by Lamborghini’s up and coming Aventador Superveloce Jota (SVJ). So does it have the goods to surpass the already impressive record?
We have been seeing a lot of spy shots of the said model as it is being tested in Sant’Agata Bolognese at the Green Hell but it looks like Lamborghini was there for another reason. According to those who witnessed it, the naturally aspirated V12 supercar managed to lap the ‘Ring in 6 minutes and 54 seconds or 6.7 seconds slower than the Porsche. However, they made it clear that the track conditions were less ideal then.
When the new Lamborghini attempted its run on the Green Hell, a number of other automakers were out on the track, so traffic was indeed a factor that affected its results. Aside from that, there was a section of the circuit that had a few cones, and this also took their toll on the SVJ’s lap time. But even with all the obstacles and the imperfect conditions, it was still able to finish in 6:54, which is a striking result. This probably means that in ideal conditions, the hardcore Aventador will drop below the 6:50 mark. Therefore, there’s a good chance for it to beat the Porsche 911 GT2 RS’s record.Read the entire article Porsche 911 GT2 RS Nurburgring record is at risk of being crushed by Lamborghini Aventador SVJ
Slowly, bits and pieces about the much anticipated 2019 Supra have come out. Gerald Killmann, Vice President of Research & Development recently spoke about the much awaited revival of the sports car during his interview with AutoRAI, covering a number of topics about the Supra. Here, he revealed several interesting details about the said model.
One thing they learned is that the new Toyota Supra has been developed mostly in Japan, and that Toyota’s European R&D team had a minor contribution. Killmann added that there will be a race car version of the Supra, which is not a big surprise for many, considering the fact that we saw the Gazoo Racing branded concept recently unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
He then said that the Supra will be sharing the same platform as the BMW Z4, though with a different interior and exterior design. But what really caught our attention during his interview was when he said that the model will be powered by a BMW-sourced engine, though he did not get into more details regarding this. He also said that rumours about a hybrid powertrain believed to be reserved for a range topping version isn’t part of their plan just yet.Read the entire article R&D head talks about 2019 Toyota Supra, its race car version, BMW-sourced engine
The Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 has been out in the market for about 2 years now, with the last number in the model’s name indicating that the vehicle has a two wheel drive layout, which was implemented in the new Audi R8 V10 RWS. If you are a fan of RWDs and are expecting to see a larger Aventador with that setup, you will be disappointed as the automaker has no plans of developing an RWD version.
During the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Australia’s Drive magazine interviewed R&D boss of Lamborghini, Maurizio Reggiani. Here, he revealed that the Aventador will remain to be the company’s flagship model and is going to keep its all wheel drive system. You may be wondering why that has been decided. Well, it is because sending as much power from the V12 to the rear axle will allegedly make the vehicle difficult to manage once it hits a certain speed. To be safe, the automaker decided not to let this happen as they will be liable for it.
Furthermore, they assured that the decision was not only made due to safety reasons, but also because the Lamborghini Aventador is meant to keep its all-four wheel configuration. Without this AWD layout, the supercar’s traction control system would be so invasive, says Reggiani.Read the entire article Lamborghini Aventador will never have an RWD setup
A new version of the Lamborghini Aventador is definitely on the way; it is just that the supercar maker has yet to announce its official name. There have been reports saying that this would be a Performante, an SE, a GT, a JOTA or an SV, although nothing is sure yet. Nonetheless, the newest Aventador is a true performer, with a potential power output of more than 800 PS.
While Lamborghini has yet to officially announce the true moniker of its new Aventador creation, it seems like a leak has occurred. Weeks ago, an Instagram user shared a leaked image of the instrument display showing the name of the new Lamborghini supercar – the Aventador SVJ. The letters SV has been known to stand for Super Veloce, which are the Italian words for “super fast.” Quite a number of Raging Bull models have already received this designation.
The letter J, meanwhile, was first used by adopted by the factory’s test driver Bob Wallace, whose drove a special version of the Lamborghini Miura that bears the J mark. In fact, Lamborghini actually managed to convert some Miura SV models to SV/J specification. The Aventador J – unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show -- was the last Lamborghini model to use the letter as a suffix.Read the entire article V12-powered Lamborghini Aventador SVJ could deliver more than 800 PS of max output
The Acura NSX, even though it has been produced in the United States, is rightfully claimed as one of its own by the legions of fans in Japan, where it is known as a Honda. For this particular example we are going to talk about, the owner definitely took it even further.
When looking at the images, it seems like the said car has been shot at Tokyo’s famous Tsukiji fish market, or some other similar market there. But it isn’t the place that matters, but the subject. As you can see here, this hybrid supercar looks like it is part of the country’s Super GT championship. But Honda is known for having several NSX-GTs in the series’ top GT500 class.
Though this Acura NSX looks a lot like a track focused car, it actually is a road going car. The supercar was modified by Liberty Walk and has been given a full body kit, making it look wider with a meaner demeanor. It had also been given enough aerodynamic enhancements that it will remind you of an air force fighter - blacked out like the one in the photo.Read the entire article Spotted in Japan: Honda NSX by Liberty Walk almost looks like it belongs on the track
Day after day, we hear something new about the Lamborghini Aventador. The Italian supercar manufacturer has built a total of 7,000 examples of the said model in the six years that it has been in the market. Aside from being one of the most expensive supercars one can buy today, it definitely is one of the best too, and the company promises to make it even better as technology improves. Lamborghini’s chief commercial officer, Federico Foschini recently confirmed that new and even more special versions of the Aventador will come to the market in the next couple of years.
In an interview with CarAdvice, Foschini said that he loves the Aventador so much that he does not want the nameplate to die. He then said that “the time will have to come”, but he does not specify whether this will be sooner or later. Furthermore, he said something that got a lot of people even more excited. He said that the Aventador will have more surprises for us. Again, he does not specify what these will be. He did joke however that he will be murdered if he leaks the information he has.
Today, the most powerful Lamborghini Aventador that we know of is the Superveloce, and it had already been sold out. Under its hood is a naturally aspired 750 horsepower (552 kilowatts) V12 engine with as much as 508 pound-feet (690 Newton-metres) of torque. This engine works with a seven-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission distributing power to the wheels. As for the performance, it can quickly do the 60 mile per hour sprint (96 kilometers per hour) in only 2.9 seconds.Read the entire article Future editions of Lamborghini Aventador will keep naturally aspirated V12 but expect surprises
The first Step WGN was introduced in Japan in the mid-1990s, and the current model is getting a complete makeover in 2015. For this year’s refresh, the massive van’s front fascia will be tweaked, as it gets a new grille with new LED head lights. On the rear, the Step WGN’s tail gate spoiler has been tweaked to make it look sportier. The updates don’t end there. Under the van’s hood will be a dual-motor sport hybrid system, and it will be given a new suspension tuning too.
As for the safety features, all Step WGN models will be getting Honda Sensing safety systems that come as standard. This system includes adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking system, forward collision warning, Honda LaneWatch. Furthermore, it features blind spot information system, cross traffic monitor, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and many more.
The entire lineup of the Step WGN will include a 1.5 liter turbocharged mill, which doesn’t quite compare to the Spada Hybrid that comes with a 2.0 liter engine for its electric motors. Customers could get it with a front-wheel-drive that comes as standard, but they can also opt for the all-wheel drive - both of these work with a CVT automatic.Read the entire article Honda Step WGN gets more tech and a facelift for 2018MY
While the FJ Cruiser was no longer sold in the US since 2014 with the Trails Teams Edition being its final model, Toyota has now decided to terminate its production altogether. But before the FJ Cruiser takes its final bow, Toyota will first produce the stylish SUV’s Final Edition which is to be offered exclusively in Japan. If you still don’t have it, now is your last chance.
A little over ten years since the FJ Cruiser first came to the US, the SUV will be exclusively sold to its home market as the Final Edition. In other words, you won’t find a single copy of this in the US or anywhere else which makes it even more special. The FJ was available in America from 2007 up to 2014 only. While the Japan-spec has been around for as long as we can remember, the last batch for production will be featuring a special set of 20- inch alloy wheels, a model-exclusive side steps, a redesigned rear bumper with flog lights and a fender mounted left view mirror.
The FJ Cruiser Final Edition, which will only come in all- beige color both at the exterior and the interior will have some few black accents to spice things up a bit. At the same time, the retro-inspired SUV has been enhanced inside and out for a distinctively modern touch. However, some things stayed the same. Like for example, under the hood comes the 4.0-liter V6 gas engine mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to both the SUV’s front and rear wheels. Everything about the exterior still feels very retro, judging by the color and the shape of the vehicle. We could go on by saying there’s nothing quite so modern about its interior too. But changing it entirely will take away the whole essence of the FJ Cruiser.Read the entire article 2017 Toyota FJ Cruiser Final Edition: A bitter sweet farewell
This is a dream come true for those who were wishing that Automobili Lamborghini would create a roadster version of its Aventador S. From the exterior design – especially the front end and to some extent, the rear end – to the mechanicals, the Aventador S Roadster is a reflection of the Aventador S Coupe, but lacking the fixed roof and with the addition of some hardware to ensure that its occupants could be protected from the weather if needed.Read the entire article 2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster is just like the coupe sans the fixed roof

Do you remember the Mazda MX-5 Miata? Perhaps not if you are a millennial reading this. That’s because it is a car from almost 3 decades ago. The older a car gets, the more signs of age you will notice, no matter how often you maintain it or how sparsely you use it. The MX-5 Miata, also known as the NA generation, is facing that issue now, and owners of this model are not ready to give up their cars yet. This is why Mazda is starting a restoration program for the car.
Mazda came up with this solution as they kept hearing from MX-5 Miata owners that they cannot let go of their cars, and that they want to keep on driving them, no matter how old the car gets. A lot of Miata owners also requested for Mazda to produce parts of the 28-year-old model.
Now, their prayers have been answered and Mazda will start accepting customer cars by early 2018 to restore them to their original shape. The restoration process will vary from one car to another, depending on the customer’s requests. The company will ask their clients what they want to get out of their Miata exactly, before working on the car. But first, Mazda plans to get a certification from German inspection group TÜV Rheinland Japan Co., Ltd so that they could produce high-quality vehicles.Read the entire article Mazda Japan opens restoration service for 1st-gen decades-old MX-5 Miata
It is not like the Lamborghini Aventador does not perform well when we’re comparing performance. But some tuners just like to fiddle with car parts, which is the main reason why they exist. This is where Novitec Torado comes in. More than a year ago, Novitec actually put its sights on the Lamborghini Aventador SV Coupe.
First of all, Novitec put the coupe into a carbon fiber diet, by replacing some of its parts to make it extra lightweight. Other than that, they also changed the engine into a 6.5 liter V12 for an extra push. So what happens when you combine a stronger engine and a lightweight car? You all know the answer.
But let us get into more detail first. The new engine has now been supercharged, as Novitec got rid of the naturally aspirated one, letting the car generate a total of 970 horsepower, from the standard’s 750 horsepower. That’s a whopping 220 horsepower increase from the original model, which is pretty insane.Read the entire article Novitec tweaked a Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster to generate 970 horsepower
Last month, we heard about the Lamborghini Aventador SV that was listed on eBay. You’re right, the one-off vehicle finished in a Verde Singh paint, that was being sold along with the matching speed boat.
A few days ago, an Aventador S came out at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with a beautifully painted matte-finish Grigio Acheso with orange accent, combined with an interior that matches the exterior design, by Ad Personam.
Now, photos of the last ever Lamborghini Aventador SV have been circulating online, as Lamborghini Edinburgh delivers the specific model to its designated buyer. This is the last Aventador SV to ever roll off the assembly line at Sant’Agata Bolognese, making it extra special.Read the entire article Last Lamborghini Aventador SV has unique specs, comes with Porsche ‘918 Liquid Metal Blue paint job
The car’s exterior has a beautiful bluish-grey matte finish they call Grigio Acheso, combined with matte orange lines all over the body. The roof is made with glossy carbon, paired with a matte black exhaust system, and black multi-spoke wheels with bright orange brake calipers.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find a two-tone cabin in black Alcantara with orange accents, to match the exterior design. The colours extend from steering wheel, all the way to the seats. There are contrast stitching, orange trim, and an Opera Unica plate that indicates the car’s unique specification.Read the entire article Lamborghini reveals unique Aventador S, customized by Ad Personam
The Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster may be the fastest car out there, capable of reaching 60 miles from standstill in just 2.8 seconds, plus having a top speed of 217 miles per hour. But where will the Aventador end up if it runs out of road to drive on? We all know that the planet is made up of 70 percent water.
Well, that doesn't seem to be a problem. If you have the money to get yourself that roadster, you sure can afford a speedboat to pair with it. There is a listing on JamesEdition in Fort Lauderdale of a Lambo Aventador SV Roadster with a matching catamaran. And yes, they really do have matching colours.
Just like the roadster, the catamaran was customized to look like it is the supercar's big brother. The 52-foot MTI G6 has been finished with a Verde Singh shade paired with Alcantara upholstery, and of course the carbon fiber trim. And that's not all, as the speedboat comes with a steering wheel, marinized switchgear, door panels, and lighting from the Aventador - literally the works.Read the entire article Amazing buy: Get the Verde Singh Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster with a matching catamaran
