The 2019 Detroit Auto Show – formally known as the North American International Auto Show – is standing witness to the debut of the refreshed iteration of the Lexus RC F coupe. However, making it debut alongside the RC F coupe is a version designed to live on the tracks. We are talking about the new Lexus RC F Track Edition.
Essentially, the Lexus RC F Track Edition is a more hardcore version of the RC F. The RC F, in turn, is the sportier edition of Lexus’ entry level RC coupe that was unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. That makes the RC F Track Edition the sportiest and most hardcore evolution of the RC coupe.
The Lexus RC F coupe is differentiated from the RC by a number of performance-related upgrades, just like better suspension, greater power and aerodynamics. The same is true with the RC F Track Edition, as this version is laden with precisely engineered upgrades that help push its performance to a whole new level. For instance, compared to the RC F, the RC F Track Edition is lighter and definitely has larger wings.Read the entire article Hardcore Lexus RC F Track Edition debuts at 2019 Detroit Auto Show
It was during this year’s Chicago Auto Show that Lexus, as part of the celebration of its 10 years of performance, put on display unique versions of its high-powered models, the RC F and the GS F. The brand however is planning to showcase a limited edition RC that can deliver more than the V8-powered models.
Lexus revealed that it will be rolling out during the 2018 New York Auto Show its RC F SPORT Black Line Special Edition. This appearance package will be available for both the RC 300 and the 350 F Sport. It will come with two new choices for exterior paint which are Atomic Silver and Caviar. The brand also revealed that it will be making only 650 units worldwide.
In addition to the new colors, the gloss exterior paint will be contrasting with the standard matte black wheels paired to the brake calipers which can come in either black or orange. Instead of the usual chrome trim, this Special Edition will now have black chrome accents surrounding the grille as well as the windows.Read the entire article Lexus to unveil RC F SPORT Black Line Special Edition at 2018 New York Auto Show
To celebrate 10 years of its high-performance F cars, Lexus plans to come out with a couple of special edition models. These will include a 2018 Lexus GS F sedan, together with an RC F Coupe, and both will be dressed to make them stand out when they’re on display at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. Both models will be given the same gray suit with blue accents inside and out.
This may already sound familiar to you, as the automaker actually has already brought them to the Tokyo Motor Show late last year. But what we know at that time was that those models will be exclusive to the Japanese market only – apparently, that has changed.
And yes, we are right about that. Though it will just be a limited model in the US, with only 340 units, the good news is that it will be available, and it will likely be very difficult to get one. Only 240 anniversary versions of the RC F coupe will be built, and 100 units of the thinner GS F sedans will get the special treatment. Each Lexus dealer in the US will only carry one unit of the coupe.Read the entire article Lexus brings special edition 10th anniversary models of the GS F and RC F to Chicago Auto Show
It is interesting to recall how it was at the same event that took place in Geneva three years ago when Lexus first unwrapped the RC F GT3 Concept. Before it hits the motorsport arena in US, Japan and Europe, Lexus is going back once again to Switzerland for the premiere of the RC F GT3 racer.
Donning an all-black getup with a sinister body to boot, the 2017 Lexus RC F GT3 is unmistakably a tough race car to defeat in the racing circuits. To some, it does look like a winner already although the race hasn’t started yet. One thing’s for sure, we know it’s going to be a very busy year for Lexus.
In the US, there will be two RC F GT3s that will be joining the 3GT racing team. It will take part in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Series under the GTD class. This is just for the US competition. Also this year, two more Lexus RC F GT3 will be arriving in Japan to join the LM Corsa team. It will be racing among the GT300 class of Japan’s Super GT Series.Read the entire article Lexus RC F GT3 prepares for 2017 Geneva Motor Show debut
The final version of Lexus’ GT3 racer is now here at last and it looks meaner and more menacing than the namesake concept it was derived from. Welcome the new Lexus RC F GT3 that will be competing in several GT3 events not only in the United States, but also in Japan.
It took nearly three years before Lexus was able to unveil the final version of the Lexus RC F GT3. The Japanese premium carmaker introduced the RC F GT3 Racing Concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
It was derived from the Lexus RC F Coupe that was introduced at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The development of the concept car was focused on meeting Group GT3 international racing standards. Furthermore, testing commenced in 2014. Serving as the core of the Lexus RC F GT3 Racing Concept was a higher-tuned version of the 5.0-liter V8 engine that powers Lexus RC F Coupe. This engine delivers over 540 hp of output to power the 2,755.8-pound RC F GT3 Racing Concept.Read the entire article Lexus unveils new RC F GT3 racer that will take part in GT3 events in the US and Japan

Lexus officially announced that its RC F Coupe will be priced from $62,400 in the United States, excluding the $925 destination charge. This means that the new vehicle will actually be less expensive than the BMW M4 Coupe, which starts at $64,200 excluding $950 destination charge.
Still, the vehicle will not be as quick as its German rival, because Lexus says that the RC F Coupe accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds, runs the quarter mile in 12.5 seconds, while top speed is 170 mph or 273 km/h. For those who don’t know, the Lexus RC F Coupe is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 467 hp (348 kW) and 526 Nm (389 lb-ft) of torque.
The engine is bolted to an 8-speed automatic transmission and power is delivered to the rear wheels. Meanwhile, the BMW M4 Coupe uses a 3.0-liter high-revving six-cylinder in-line petrol engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology that produces a maximum output of 431 hp and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.Read the entire article 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe is cheaper than the BMW M4 Coupe, but slower
The 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe didn’t reach the dealerships yet but the Japanese manufacturer is already thinking on a new version. Apparently, Lexus is planning a four-door version of the RC F Coupe, which will use the same platform and engine. Expected sometime in 2016, this new model will be more practical but also cheaper than the coupe.
According to Autocar, a convertible version might also be offered. So, expect the four-foor RC F to be powered by the same 5.0-liter, 32-valve V8 engine that generates more than 450 hp (335 kW) and 520 Nm of torque.
The engine will deliver the power to the rear wheels through a fuel-efficient 8-speed Sports Direct Shift, intelligent electronically controlled automatic transmission.Read the entire article Four-door version of the Lexus RC F Coupe expected sometime in 2016
Lexus started a contest on its Facebook page where it asked its fans to choose a name for a new orange colour that will be offered on the brand new RC F Coupe. Back in June, the contest ended and the new orange colour got a name: Solar Flare. Still, the new Solar Flame colour was shown only in an official photo made in the studio and we didn’t actually see the real thing.
Until today, when AutoGuide revealed the first photos with the new RC F Coupe dressed in its Solar Flame coat. We must admit that the real thing looks better than expected and underlines the aggressive design lines of the RC F Coupe.
In addition, the vehicle seen in the photos features a carbon fiber roof as well as a carbon fiber rear spoiler. For those who still don’t know, the Lexus RC F Coupe is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 450 hp and more than 383 lb-ft of torque.Read the entire article Spotted: Lexus RC F Coupe shows off its brand new Solar Flare paint finish
The all-new 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe will make its first UK appearance next weekend at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed (26-29 June). According to the official press release, the RC F Coupe will make speed runs during the ‘first glance’ sessions on the Goodwood’s hill course.
Lexus RC F Coupe will have its market launch at the end of the year and for those who don’t know, it will use a 5.0-liter, 32-valve engine that generates more than 450 bhp (335 kW) and 520 Nm of torque.
The engine will be bolted to a fuel-efficient 8-speed Sports Direct Shift, intelligent electronically controlled automatic transmission, while power will be delivered to the rear wheels. We don’t have any details regarding the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), but we do know that the speed will be electronically limited at 168 mph or 270 km/h.Read the entire article 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe will make dynamic debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Back in May, Lexus launched a contest for its fans in order to find a name for its new orange colour that will be offered for the RC F Coupe. Today, that contest ended and the name of the new colour is ‘Solar Flare’. According to Lexus, the ‘Solar Flare’ name was submitted by five different persons on its Facebook page.
The people who submitted the comments were Peter Robert Shaumburg Fodor, Paul Britt, Joe Ettwein, Matt Frenchy and Krisstian Allen. So, if you want to buy a Lexus RC F Coupe featuring a Solar Flare paint finish you will also get the mighty 5.0-liter V8 engine that generates 450 hp and more than 383 lb-ft of torque.
Using an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift (SPDS) transmission, the power is delivered to the rear wheels. According to Lexus, the RC F Coupe will be faster than the IS F, which was able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, while top speed will be electronically limited at 270 km/h or 168 mph.Read the entire article Lexus RC F Coupe gets a new Solar Flare orange colour as contest ends
Just like Chrysler did with the special blue color developed for the SRT Viper, Lexus wants you to name the new orange colour that will be offered for the RC F Coupe. People already started to name the new colour and we already have Fiery Orange/Sunset, Orange Crush, Perihelion Orange, Molten Bronze, Sunburst or Radiant Fire.
If you believe that you have a better idea, why don’t you head over to company’s Facebook page and write your idea there and maybe, who knows, you will be the lucky winner. Lexus didn’t say what you will win or if it will offer a prize for the lucky person who has the best idea to name that colour, but you will definitely not going to win a brand new Lexus RC F Coupe.
That’s too bad, because the brand new sports car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 450 hp and more than 383 lb-ft of torque. The engine is bolted to an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift (SPDS) transmission that delivers the power to the rear wheels.Read the entire article Lexus wants you to give a name for this new orange color of the RC F Coupe
Lexus officially introduced the RC F GT3 Racing Concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Based on the recently introduced RC F Coupe, the new concept car was developed to meet Group GT3 international racing standards. According to the official press release, Lexus will supply the GT3-compliant vehicles to racing teams starting in 2015, while the testing will begin this year.

The standard RC F Coupe is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that generates 450 hp and more than 383 lb-ft of torque. The 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe made its debut in the Motor City at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show and as expected, the vehicle looks even better in the flesh. According to Lexus, the RC F Coupe uses a 5.0-liter 32-valve V8 engine that provides increased maximum power at higher engine rpm than previously possible.
For the first time, the RC F Coupe uses the Atkinson cycle at cruising speeds for better fuel economy and switches to Otto cycle at higher rpm. The 5.0-liter V8 generates more than 450 hp and more than 383 lb-ft of torque. Using an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift (SPDS) transmission, the 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe promises to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) faster than the IS F (4.6 seconds), while the top speed will be electronically limited at 168 mph or 270 km/h.
The RC F uses a Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD), which is a first for Lexus, in order to increase driving performance. The TVD has three operating modes: standard, for a balance between performance and stability; slalom, for emphasis on nimble steering wheel; track, for helping with consistent stability. RC F has front and rear coil-spring independent suspension, with monotube gas-filled shock absorbers and ball-jointed stabilizer bars.Read the entire article 2014 NAIAS: 2015 RC F Coupe has the most powerful ever Lexus 5.0-litre V8 [Live Photos]
The 2014 Detroit Auto Show is preparing to open its doors next week but the new cars appeared already on the Web. The latest one is the 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe, the high-performance version of the RC Coupe. Although we don’t have any official info, we do know that the new coupe is going to use a 5.0-liter V8 engine rated at 460 hp (343 kW) and will be capable to accelerate from o to 100 km/h in around 4.5 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited at 300 km/h or 186 mph.
In terms of design, we admit that the 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe looks aggressive thanks to the new bodykit consisting of a new front bumper, front fenders, side sills, and the rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and exhaust system inspired by the IS-F. Moreover, we find a carbon fiber roof and a new set of multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside, we expected to see a design reflecting the exterior but we didn’t. Still, don’t get us wrong, we do like it, especially the leather sport seats, carbon fiber trim and the multifunction steering wheel. More details to be revealed next week, at the 2014 North American International Auto Show!Read the entire article 2014 Detroit Auto Show Preview: 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe leaks out onto the Web
After few leaked photos, Lexus officially unveiled the RC F Coupe ahead of 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Based on the RC Coupe that was shown back in November, at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe is described as the most powerful V8 performance car ever developed by Lexus.
It will be powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering around 460 hp (343 kW) that will push it from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, all the way to a top speed of 300 km/h or 186 mph. Comparing it with the RC Coupe, the new RC F Coupe comes with wider wheels and tires, an active rear wing, air scoops, cooling ducts and carbon fiber components.
The front end shows the signature Lexus spindle grille that features a single F-pattern, while the hood is higher than that of the RC in order to accommodate the larger V8 engine and creates a powerful flared profile. The RC F Coupe comes with ducts beneath the front bumper, fenders and strategically-placed aerodynamic stabilizing fins.Read the entire article 2014 Detroit Auto Show: 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe looks ready to take on BMW M4 [w/video]
It has been three years since Toyota’s luxury division, Lexus, unveiled the LC Coupe at the 2016 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), which is also known as the Detroit Auto Show. Now at the same venue, Lexus is presenting to the global public an open -top study of the LC Coupe – the Lexus LC Convertible Concept.
As the luxury carmaker puts it, the Lexus LC Convertible Concept suggests future direction of its LC flagship. The premium carmaker calls the LC Convertible Concept as an aspirational halo vehicle for the entire Lexus lineup. In terms of looks, the LC Convertible Concept is essentially the LC Coupe without a fixed roof. For three years, not a few have imagine how the LC Coupe would appear if it become a convertible. The LC Convertible Concept is the realization of this imagination in metal.
As Tadao Mori, Chief Designer of the Lexus LC Convertible Concept, quipped, the show car re-imagines the unmistakable design of the LC Coupe as a future convertible. He added that the LC Convertible Concept is a blend all the best aspects of the original LC Coupe, but with the dynamic design of a convertible.Read the entire article Lexus LC Convertible Concept unveiled at 2019 Detroit Auto Show
It is an open secret that many of Lexus’ vehicle offering are or were derived from an existing Toyota product. This isn't really surprising considering that Lexus is the luxury division of Toyota. This means that an existing model from Toyota could have a Lexus version in the future. Would that hold true for the Toyota Alphard luxury minivan?
While Lexus is the luxury division of Toyota, the latter also builds its own luxury vehicles. The Toyota Alphard -- named after the brightest star in the constellation Hydra -- is one of these luxury vehicles. Also known as the Toyota Vellfire, the Alphard luxury minivan is available either as a seven-seater or an eight-seater. Aside from the usual gasoline version, the Alphard is also available as a hybrid, employing Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive technology.
The Alphard could be a viable candidate for “adoption” at Lexus. After all, a number of Toyota models had been adopted Lexus. For instance, the Lexus RX and IS were originally derived from the Toyota Harrier and Altezza, respectively. Likewise, the Lexus GX and LX were originally derived from the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Land Cruiser. In addition, the Lexus ES was derived initially from the Toyota Camry, and then from the Avalon.Read the entire article Possibility of a Lexus version of the Toyota Alphard minivan floated
Lexus could be saying goodbye to the present generation of its LX luxury sports utility vehicles through a new exclusive model. Set to be unveiled at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show this month is the new 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series.
The hard truth with the Lexus LX is that the third generation of the luxury SUV has been in production since the 2008 model year. That makes the third-gen LX a 10-year old model, with latest refresh done around three years ago. Nonetheless, the LX luxury SUV managed to prove that it can be an inspiration for customers seeking a higher-level driving experience. To celebrate that, the 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series is bound to be unveiled at the upcoming 2019 LA Auto Show.
In this new guise, 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series is wrapped in a stealth Black Onyx exterior finish as complemented elegantly by a black front grille with a dark chrome surround. In addition, the new LX Inspiration Series comes with headlamps, foglights and windows with black trim, as well as smoked headlamp lenses. The dark theme is also evident on the rear section as the taillamps, license plate and back door all feature black chrome accents. Completing the dark theme of the new LX Inspiration Series are its 21-inch black alloy wheels with black center caps.Read the entire article 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series set to be unveiled at Los Angeles Auto Show
