Liberty Walk outfitted the Lexus LC 500 in a flashy body kit

When Lexus first launched the production version of the LC coupe, it surprised many because it had a strong resemblance with the LF-LC concept that many loved as seen back during the 2012 NAIAS.

Now, the LC coupe has an interesting body design, and it really is not the easiest model to modify, but Liberty Walk decided to do so anyway. And voila, customers can now get this body kit, which is available for both the LC500 as well as the LC500h. They also have two choices when getting the package, the FRP and the CFRP that costs from $13,380 to $19,440 outside of Japan.

So you are probably wondering what you would get with the Liberty Walk package. Well, that includes the Japanese tuner’s massive bolt-on fenders that are now actually considered to be the company’s signature. But that’s not all you will get of course, as this also comes with a front lip, side skirt add-ons, a boot lid-mounted wing, and a more aggressive rear diffuser.

Lexus presents LC Inspiration Series Concept and UX 250h Concept at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance

Being a sponsor of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Lexus took advantage of the prestigious event to unveil two new concepts that represent the luxury carmaker’s different takes on the future of luxury – the new Lexus LC Inspiration Series Concept and the new Lexus UX 250h Concept.

The Lexus LC Inspiration Series Concept is essentially the second vehicle in the carmaker’s Inspiration Series. The first Inspiration Series was an LC 500 finished in Structural Blue and inspired by a superhero from the Marvel cinematic universe -- King T’Challa, the monarch of Wakanda. Both the LC 500 Inspiration Series and the LC Inspiration Series Concept are regarded by Lexus as ultimate expressions of their flagship coupe, as marked by bold designs and exclusive elements.

While the first Inspiration Series wrapped in Structural Blue, the Lexus LC Inspiration Series Concept is finished in Flare Yellow exterior paint. This concept rides on a distinct set of black 21-inch forged alloy wheels. It also features a carbon fiber roof and an active rear spoiler.

Spotted in Japan: Honda NSX by Liberty Walk almost looks like it belongs on the track

The Acura NSX, even though it has been produced in the United States, is rightfully claimed as one of its own by the legions of fans in Japan, where it is known as a Honda. For this particular example we are going to talk about, the owner definitely took it even further.

When looking at the images, it seems like the said car has been shot at Tokyo’s famous Tsukiji fish market, or some other similar market there. But it isn’t the place that matters, but the subject. As you can see here, this hybrid supercar looks like it is part of the country’s Super GT championship. But Honda is known for having several NSX-GTs in the series’ top GT500 class.

Though this Acura NSX looks a lot like a track focused car, it actually is a road going car. The supercar was modified by Liberty Walk and has been given a full body kit, making it look wider with a meaner demeanor. It had also been given enough aerodynamic enhancements that it will remind you of an air force fighter - blacked out like the one in the photo.

Lexus LC convertible is rumoured to arrive by 2020, LC F may follow

Currently, there aren’t any Lexus convertibles out in the market, but it seems like it won’t be too long until we see one again. This is because Toyota’s premium brand is reportedly thinking of taking the LC’s roof off. These look pretty cool too for a more powerful variant of the coupe as well.

It also seems like the convertible is already a done deal. A source told Auto Express that there has already been a go signal for the production of this model. That being said, it is not scheduled to arrive dealerships until at least two years from now.

Yoshihiro Sawa, the Japanese automaker’s Senior Managing Officer, told Auto Express that their luxury market will definitely require a convertible, and that he hopes to have a convertible in their lineup very soon. So simply said, they have not confirmed the rumours yet.

As soon as Toyota trademarked the names “LC F” and “Lexus LC F” at the European Union Intellectual Property Office, speculations have emerged that there could actually be a hardcore performance version of the Lexus LC 2+2 coupe. Just recently, an insider within Lexus has divulged to a Japanese automotive magazine that the LC F hardcore coupe could offer up to 621 hp of output.

In an interview with Japan’s Holiday Auto magazine – and as posted by Japan’s Lawrence Motorcycle X Car – the Lexus insider disclosed that the LC F would be taking on the formula of more power and less weight to offer a high level of performance without any compromise in luxury. This formula entails the employment of a powerful biturbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that could deliver around 621 hp (463 kW).

The formula also entails the intensive use of carbon-fiber reinforced polymer, a material that isn't just strong and rigid, but is also light and easy to shape. According to the Lexus insider, this weight-saving measure is being adopted on the LC F as the carmaker aims to make the hardcore performance car seven percent lighter than the LC coupe. If achieved, the LC F would have a weight of 3,980 lbs (1,778 kg).

Marvel fans will be looking forward to another movie in February -- the Black Panther. We initially thought that he would be driving a car like the Bugatti Chiron. But it turns out that the superhero is actually going to be driving a Lexus instead. Yes, believe it or not, it is Toyota’s sister company that stepped up to work in collaboration with the upcoming Black Panther, which is set to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In fact, they even built special cars specifically for the film, and soon a few lucky people will be able to purchase one of the cars built. But of course, you have to be real quick to get your hands on one. Lexus said that only 100 examples of the special edition model will be built. Another thing you’ll need to have is a lot of extra money in the bank, because it took a total of eight months just to complete the paint job alone, so it has got to be extremely pricey.

So what exactly is this car you ask? It is a 2018 Lexus LC 500 that is part of the automaker’s Inspiration Series. And only 100 units of the very first model will be available for the United States. You’ll probably agree that the LC 500 is already a beautiful coupe, and Lexus enhances it even more with a bespoke white interior, a unique set of 21-inch wheels, carbon fiber scuff plates and a Barneys barware set. We are guessing that the latter is for the passenger to enjoy, and not the driver. But we will see in the movie if Black Panther takes advantage of it. As for the mechanical bits, they remain the same, with a 5.0 liter V8 engine that works with a 10 speed automatic transmission, producing as much as 471 horsepower - not bad for a superhero.

Customizing cars according to client’s tastes and preferences is nothing new for Liberty Walk. After all, the Japanese tuning company has been modifying cars for years. One of its latest works has been leaked to the public, and it comes in the form of a customized BMW M4 Coupe (F82).

Liberty Walk calls its works as remodeling, instead of customization or tuning. But whatever or however the company calls its creations, Liberty Walk has been known for hand-built body kits. From a Lamborghini Murcielago to a Ferrari 458 Italia, Liberty Walk’s customization works has already attracted the attention of the world.

Thus, it is no wonder why an owner of a BMW M4 tapped Liberty Walk to customize his or her luxuriously sporty ride. At first look, this customized BMW M4 may not be as flashy or as attention-grabbing as other tuned M4 models. However, it should be pointed out that Liberty Walk’s customization works revolves on the wishes of the client. Thus, if the client just wanted to have a ride unique from other M4s without gaudy looks, Liberty Walk would follow what was specified by the client.

We have seen photos of the Liberty Walk Honda NSX before, but none of us really appreciated it because these photos did not do the supercar justice. This time, new photos of the same modified model have been released and the new images perfectly highlight the new styling modifications.

This NSX is far from a standard model. It was tuned by Liberty Walk with the help of Forgiato Wheels.

As you can see in the images, the NSX now has a towering rear wing that suits the car really well. And at the same time, it transforms the car’s overall look. The Japanese tuner also equipped the NSX with a fitted air suspension kit to lower the ride, courtesy of AirRex.

For the past 15 years, Lexus has been conducting a research into butterfly wings. And this study resulted in a special paint job from the Japanese automaker. It is so complicated that the paint alone requires 12 steps and 20 quality inspections. We will first see this on the LC 500 Structural Blue Edition, that creates an iridescent look on the grand tourer.

The company was inspired by the Morpho butterfly, which gave them this particular shade of blue. Lexus says that unlike conventional finishes where the paint reflects just under 50 percent of the pigments, this shade reflects almost 100 percent. The tiny pigments let the vehicle produce an ever changing shade of blue. The only downside is that this is not apparent in photographs, which is why you cannot really appreciate it in these photos.

When Lexus first came up with this shade, they had to use 40 layers of paint to let it produce this effect. However, after years of study, they were able to reduce this down to only 7 layers - now making it more feasible for production models.

Japanese aftermarket tuner Liberty Walk is at it again, this time with the Ford Mustang. The tuner is known worldwide because of their outrageous and unique wide body treatments when configuring models like the Toyota Prius and the Lamborghini Aventador, plus many more in between.

As mentioned earlier, one of their latest projects would be the Liberty Walk-tuned Ford Mustang, and this is the first Mustang they have tweaked. To really make it look like it is by the tuner, they gave the example their signature bolt-on fenders, new front and rear bumpers, a new read diffuser, a modified grille, and finally a ducktail spoiler. The pony is dressed in a bright red finish to complete the exterior look. LB gave it an Airrex air suspension kit for an additional $7,900 (¥790,000), to let it sit as close as it can to the pavement.

Before we forget, the Mustang now has a set of black wheels and decals all over the body, to give some accent to its bright red body. For the full-on Works package, customers will have to be willing to spend $6,800 (¥680,000). Or they can also opt for the toned down Performance package at $4,960 (¥496,800), which only includes a tweaked front diffuser, side diffuser, rear diffuser, and a ducktail spoiler.

Who would buy a secondhand car that has already crashed? That would be someone who knows a good opportunity when he sees one. We know that the 2018 Lexus LC 500 had begun deliveries to its United States customers recently. But apparently, one has already crashed and it’s now being sold on Copart.

With only as little as 777 miles on its odometer, the two-door sports coupe’s life has already been cut short after the accident. The vehicle is being sold by State Farm Insurance, with a title that says it had been salvaged but is repairable. Here’s the thing, it will be challenging and costly to repair a model like the Lexus LC 500, considering that it is a 2018 model.

Based on the photo that had been posted, the LC 500 has gone through a painful hit up on the front fascia. The bumper, spindle grille, hood and front quarter panels have been seriously damaged. That is not all, even the windshield has been shattered, while the radiator has been pushed out of place. Furthermore, the undercarriage was also seriously damaged, which caused the steering wheel and curtain airbags to be inflated.

Even before Toyota, or in extension Lexus, makes an official announcement about the arrival of the more hardcore version of the LC performance coupe, certain details are already circulating over the specs of this variant—the Lexus LC F. Just recently, a Japanese Web site has said that the new Lexus LC F is being geared to offer a performance level that would be at par with the Japanese monster Nissan GT-R Nismo and the German powerhouse Mercedes-AMG GT.

In case you missed it, there have been speculations that Lexus could be planning hardcore variant of the LC. But it’s highly possible that it’s already in the midst of developing such a model after it was reported that Toyota Motors Corp. had applied for the trademark of the names “LC F” and “Lexus LC F” with the European Union Intellectual Property Office.

Lexus intended the LC to fully highlight its sporting credentials and its renewed focus on dynamism. Offering an F version that could take on some of the known performance cars would be a natural and logical step. Not only that, other Lexus coupes like the RC also had an F version. Thus, Toyota’s trademark application could serve as a vital clue to Lexus’ plans to offer an LC F.

Liberty Walk, the Japan based tuning company, is back at it again. Though we are used to seeing these tuners modify high-end machines like Lamborghinis and Ferraris, this time they step out of their comfort zone and decide to create a special upgrade of a more regular car. In this case, they did their tricks on the Honda S660.

At first glance, you’ll know that the Honda has been modified by the Japanese tuners. Its exterior alone received a whole bunch of visual upgrades. To be more specific, the mini roadster received new front and rear bumpers, complemented with large side skirts for a more seamless design, with deeper front splitter and rear diffuser. A boot lip spoiler has been added along with the bolt-on fender flares that hug the deep dish alloy wheels that have been wrapped in performance stretched tires. Unfortunately, the set of wheels is not part of the package. Overall, the S660’s body is now wider and looks more masculine

There are two options of the body kit customers can choose from: one of them is priced at 648,000 yen ($5,700), while the other is a little cheaper at 475,000 yen ($4,200). Both body kits are made from FRP, and the current versions will soon be joined by two other variants. As of now, these body kits are only exclusive to the Japanese market. For those who opt for the optional Airrex air suspension for a lower ride, that will cost you an additional 580,000 yen ($5,100).

Motor show after motor show. Kicking it off at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, several more auto shows are scheduled for the first half of the year. Over the weekend, there was the Belgrade Motor Show, which will be followed by the Seoul Motor Show happening soon. In April, let us not forget the New York International Auto Show, and fans will be brought to Britain when the country’s largest auto show – the London Motor Show takes place over the first weekend of May.

Japanese car tuning company, Liberty Walk, who is known not just for dressing up cars, but actually remodeling the car itself, is scheduled to attend the upcoming London Motor Show. Established in 2008 in Japan, the company develops body kits for the world’s finest cars. And today, there are over 500 hand-built LB Works cars driving around and outside of Japan, including Europe and the US.

The Japanese tuners will be presenting a McLaren 650s that their company customized at the motor show after its premiere in Geneva. The supercar gets a distinctive yellow exterior with green stripes as accents, and layers of clear paint for extra shine.

Barely a month ago, a trademark was filed for a new Lexus LC F. That alone hints that something is up for the Japanese automotive brand. This early, it does look like Lexus is armed and ready for the upcoming 2017 Tokyo Auto Show this Fall. As it turns out, an unnamed insider from Toyota’s luxury division had spoken with Car and Driver and shared a few intriguing details on the supposed high-performance F variant.

The source said that the new LC F will have a more aggressive design to go with the more powerful engine underneath its hood. It sure is a good thing when you stumble upon a news feed where torque curves and power boost are also on the cards, don’t you think?

According to the source, the new LC F will not be using any of the LC 500h’s 354hp, 3.5-liter V6 electrified power unit nor it will have the LC 500’s 471hp 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 machinery. Rather, it would come with the latest 4.0-liter V8 turbocharger capable of delivering an impressive 600 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.

There is no harm in admitting that both the conventional and the hybrid versions of the Lexus LC 500 are real stunners when it comes to its exterior styling. Even its interior is richly luxurious and dynamically comfortable, as what you could expect from a Lexus.

When it comes to performance, the Lexus LC 500 is also mesmerizing, with acceleration and speed levels that are out of the ordinary.

Nonetheless, when it comes to choosing cars, fuel economy has been a consideration. Even when fuel prices are low, there is still a good number of customers who see fuel economy as one of the factors in buying a car. Good news is that while both the Lexus LC 500 and the Lexus LC 500h are high-performance units, they are pretty fuel efficient, especially the hybrid version.

When Lexus unveiled the LC sports coupe, quite a number of people were already wishing that it would have a performance version. It is not that the LC 500 coupe isn’t much of a performer. In fact, Lexus has described the new LC as its new flagship 2+2 performance coupe. However, a more hardcore version of the Lexus LC would be a very welcome proposition. How we wish – just like many – that such LC version would be on its way.

Just recently, speculations have arisen that Lexus might be planning or is already working on a hardcore version of the LC performance coupe. These speculations were brought to the air by the fact that Lexus’ parent – Japanese auto giant Toyota Motors Corp. – has applied for the trademark of the names “LC F” and “Lexus LC F” with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Since the LC was created in order to expressly highlight the premium brand’s sporting credentials and its new focus on dynamism, Lexus creating a more hardcore F version wouldn’t be a surprise. In fact, would be a natural and logical step to take, considering that its other coupes like the Lexus RC, also received an F version.

However, we will be quick to point out that a trademark application for a certain name doesn’t really amount to using it. A carmaker may file to trademark a certain name because it intends to realize it into an actual vehicle. However, the opposite could also be true – there could really be no plans to use that name on a certain vehicle in the near term. That carmaker may simply want to protect that name, thereby preventing other companies from using it.

Soon, one of the largest annual games in the United States will happen, and Lexus will not let its live broadcast pass by without showing a commercial advertisement. After all, it’s the National Football League’s Super Bowl, one of the most watched games both in the stadium and in the television – a big chance to reach a massive audience in one go.

To note, Lexus missed the 2016 edition of the big game, the Super Bowl 50. But the luxury arm of Japanese carmaker Toyota Motors will be present this year. During the 2015 edition – the Super Bowl XLIX – Lexus showed two spots with durations of 30 seconds each. The first spot (Make Some Noise) was about the Lexus NX luxury crossover, while the second ad (Let’s Play) trumped the Lexus RC premium sports coupe.

For this year’s Super Bowl – to be held on February 5, 2017 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas and to be primarily broadcasted live by Fox in the United States – Lexus will be flaunting its newly unveiled LC 500 luxury coupe. Lexus’ upcoming Super Bowl spot will be a 30-second version of a just-released one commercial ad – lasting for a minute -- titled “Man & Machine.” This one-minute features well-known movement artist and street dancer Lil Buck and the sportily elegant Lexus LC 500 luxury coupe seemingly dancing together. The duo matches their rhythm to the dynamic song “Move Your Body” by pop star Sia. The aggressive spot is directed by music video maker Jonas Akerlund, whose previous projects included Madonna’s Ray of Light video. Voiceover is done by award-winning actress Minnie Driver.

When Lexus unveiled the LC 500 luxury sports coupe, it proved to the world that it is brave enough to reinvent itself. Well, it was not long ago when Lexus was considered as a premium brand that has become utterly boring. That could be because Lexus has been creating premium cars with similar designs, similar cues and similar values.

We couldn’t blame Toyota’s luxury brand for doing that. Lexus spent not just years, but decades of building a reputation for high quality and very reliable vehicles. With this, Lexus was able to experience a surge of success. But its own achievements were what made Lexus quite hard-headed about reinventing itself to become a premium manufacturer of also sporty and exciting luxury cars.

Enter the Lexus 500 luxury sports coupe. This flagship coupe is the company’s strongest statement – so far -- regarding the future direction of its production line. It is bound to influence Lexus’ lineup better than the Lexus LFA sports car. While the luxury brand during recent years has been introducing new models like the IS, NX, and RC -- all of which boast of high levels of emotion – the LC 500 is a personification of performance, luxury and athleticism and style.
