BMW reveals M Bike Limited Carbon Edition inspired by Marina Bay Blue M5 (F90)

For those of you who just placed an order for a new BMW M5 (F90), you might like to pair it with a matching bicycle. The BMW M Bike Limited Carbon Edition is finished in Marina Bay Blue Metallic paint, exactly like that of the sports sedan.

However, if you want this bike, you have to act quickly. That is because it will be limited to 500 units only, each of which will be priced at 1,400 euros (around $1,674). The bicycles are made with hydro-formed aluminum frame, while the fork, the seat posts and spacers are all made of carbon fiber to reduce overall weight. For easier braking, it gets a set of hydraulic Shimano disk brakes.

As we all know, the BMW M5 comes equipped with a 4.4 liter biturbo engine that enables it to give out 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts) and 553 pound-feet (750 Newton-metres) of torque. The M5 is more powerful than its predecessor, which has an output of 575 horsepower (428 kilowatts) and 500 pound-feet (677 Newton meters) of torque.

Lamborghini to introduce new limited-edition supercar, new techs coming very soon

In an exclusive speaking engagement with Car Advice during the ongoing 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, Lamborghini’s Maurizio Reggiani hints at introducing what he calls as the new version of a one-off supercar, even adding that this one-off could be completely sold prior to its revelation. This is comparable to the case of Centenario, which they had introduced with rear wheel steering and which was later on adapted into the Aventador S when it came into production. The director for research and development also said that the company is set to announce some new technologies to go with Lamborghini’s new design. The imminent announcement, he said, is what Lamborghini’s loyal patrons have actually been waiting for.

It can be recalled that Lamborghini had done this previously with the Sesto Elemento, the Veneno Roadster, the Concept J as well as for both the Reventon and the Reventon Roadster. As they did with the Centenario, the soon-to-be-revealed one-off will take the lead in introducing Lamborghini’s future design and technologies. Inevitably, it should give us a first look at the Aventador replacement that is due for release in 3 years.

No concrete details have been confirmed during the talks but Car Advice knew that the Lamborghini Urus will be revealed sometime this December. In the same way, it is likely the new one-off (which is currently without a name yet) will be introduced later within the year while the official public debut will probably have to wait until 2018. At the most, we should be expecting Lamborghini’s one-off supercar at next year’s Geneva Motor Show together with the new Urus.

First Donkervoort Naked Edition D8 GTO RS has been delivered

Donkervoort, the Dutch sports car manufacturer, is making the most of a limited run of the sold out D8 GTO RS, at only 40 units. But this time, an even rarer model will be made with only 15 examples - that is the Naked Edition of the said model. As of today, the company has already sent out 20 units of the standard model to their respective owners, as well as the very first example of the Naked Edition D8 GTO RS. It was delivered to its new owner located somewhere in Germany.

Naturally, the Naked Edition will stand out due to its eccentric design, but even more so with its striking Monte Carlo Blue Carbon finish. The carbon fiber body was then given a transparent paint that was developed by both Donkervoort and BASF’s upscale brand R-M. What makes this finish so cool is that you could still see the carbon fiber through it. Ninety-five percent of the bodywork is made out of the lightweight material, including the roll-bar trim, the headlight housing and the ignition cylinder housing.

To cut down some more weight, Donkervoort used some spray on carbon components on some areas instead of painting them, which really helped with the diet. By doing all this, one would expect the D8 GTO RS to be extremely light, and true enough, the special edition only weighs a total of 695 kilograms (1,532 pounds) - that is quite an impressive weight for a sports car.

Nowadays, it is rather inevitable that luxury pickups have been quickly making rounds, and they have served as a significant asset for Ram ever since the brand separated itself from Dodge. Ram presently has various luxury trims including the Long Horn, Laramie and Limited produced among the 1500, 2500 and 3500 models and now it looks like they will introduce another vehicle to their line-up. According to the Fiat-Chrysler owned truck manufacturer, these trucks will be given a new range topping trim labelled the Limited Tungsten Edition.

2018 Ram Limited Tungsten Edition will be added to the already stellar line-up of Ram. The ultra swanky truck will be offered on the 1500, 2500 and 3500 in the 3rd quarter of this year and it will fetch around $55,120 for the high-end trim on the 1500. The newest edition offers more awesome luxurious novelties onto the recent range-topping Limited trim. We can recognize these premium units by the outer shell that will don a dark chrome grille with RAM engraving. For the trim and badges, there are metallic accents to match them.

The bumpers, door handles, mirror caps and running boards reflect the body color while its headlights flaunt the black surrounds from the Sport unit. Adding a final touch to the exterior enhancements are the satin-finish variants of the Limited wheels. Buyers can choose to have the Tungsten Edition in Bright White, Bright Silver Metallic, Delmonico Red Pearl, Brilliant Black Crystal, Granite Crystal Metallic, True Blue Pearl or Pearl White. However, the Maximum Steel Metallic will only be offered on the 1500. The Tungsten Edition's interior is where the magic begins.

The current generation of the Ford Focus will be axed next year as the new-generation 2018 Ford Focus RS will take its place, and this is sort of a good news - bad news situation. The bad news is that CarsDirect disclosed that the next-gen 2018 Focus RS is priced from $41,995- an increase of $5,000 compared to its 2017 model. It costs more than a Mustang GT premium and is priced much higher than the 2017 Honda Civic Type R's expected $35,000 price tag. But on a positive note, the extra $5,000 will give you an extremely well-armed RS.

If the disclosed price is in any way true, it will be $5,000 more expensive than the standard price of the current-gen Focus RS which demands only $36,995 (including $875 for destination cost). This sudden increase in price might seem shocking, but this 2018 Ford Focus will be released as a limited-edition model that will be well-equipped for the new model year. The hot hatch will have the RS2 package, which is set as an option on the current model for an added $2,785.

The package flaunts a heated, leather-bound Recaro seats paired with 8-way power adjustment for the driver, heated exterior mirrors and 3-spoke steering wheel and will also have a voice-activated navigation system. There's more, as there will be a carbon-fiber trim meant for door handles, handbrake lever and the bezel found around the boost gauge.

Enthusiasts know that in the automotive world, beauty (and power) always comes with a price – a very big price, at that. The Lamborghini Centenario is an example. Considering its beauty and power, the Centenario has a right for an expensive price tag. It gets more expensive when you factor in its exclusivity as only 40 examples will be available worldwide. Twenty units of this exclusive hypercar come as coupes, while the other twenty are convertibles. Come to think of it, with its price and a limited number of units available [worldwide], it will be quite rare to spot any one of these in just any ordinary neighborhood.

Last May, we’ve learned of the whereabouts of one Centenario, which is apparently flaunting its stunning bare carbon fiber exterior featuring blue accents in California – and our first time to spot the car not in is usual carbon fiber and yellow finish. Now, just a few weeks from this first sighting, two more examples have been spotted in the stateside. Photos of the said vehicles have already circulated online, leaving us jaw-slacked by its beauty.

The first of the latest two examples comes in Nuovo Giallo Orion yellow finish with carbon fiber accents – yet again, forgoing its usual carbon fiber body. The said majestic creation landed into U.S. soil just a few months after the first sighting, and it was delivered fresh to Lamborghini Beverly Hills to await its owner.

Before the current generation Ford Focus exits in 2018, the American company hopes to satisfy its fans with its latest offering. This time, everyone is eagerly awaiting Ford Performance’s limited edition 2018 Ford Focus RS which will be released next year. The said performance compact hatchback will cater to Blue Oval hot hatch enthusiasts’ most requested limited-slip front differential and a new red exterior paintjob. Aside from this, the 2018 Ford Focus RS will get additional standard equipment as well as a few touch ups that will definitely set it apart from the standard RS. What remains unchanged, however, is its power (still at 350 horsepower) and the most important part of the RS – the drift button which allows its sideways behavior.

Ford made sure that inputs and feedback from customers and fans are used in the creation of this limited-edition RS. Furthermore, Ford invited a group of enthusiasts for a preview of the 2018 Ford Focus RS and even included them in the launch video. Cool, right? They were in for another treat as professional rally driver and master tire slayer Ken Block guided them through the whole reveal. The launch video is already available online.

In a press release, Ford Performance marketing manager Henry Ford expressed his excitement on the release of this limited-edition Ford Focus RS. To satisfy the high demand for these compact hatchbacks, Ford Performance took time to listen to their customers’ wants and needs. They actually spoke to “owners’ club members”, took time to read comments and suggestions in various enthusiast websites, and also visited and studied several Photoshop rendering forums just to get the gist of what people actually want from the RS.

The Italian sports car Lamborghini revealed the first ever magnificent Centenario around the year 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show. And even though the Lamborghini Aventador SV and Centenario have a brooding similarity when it comes to performance, the Centenario was pretty much still a hit to loyal Lamborghini fans and car enthusiasts worldwide. Now a Lamborghini Centenario has arrived in the U.S., particularly at Newport Beach located in Costa Mesa, California. While it is the first ever Centenario to step on American land, it won’t be the last.

Largely based on the Lamborghini Aventador SV, the dashing Centenario utilizes the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 that will produce around 759hP (565 kW) and pure 508 lb-ft (688 Newton Meters) of torque, allowing the sports car to reach around 60 miles per hour (96 km per hours) needing only 2.8 seconds to do the job. Nevertheless, the top speed of the Centenario is limited to around 217 mph (349 kmh). The said horsepower is only 20hp more powerful than its predecessor, but the Centenario is considered a tad lighter due to its carbon fiber body. The Centenario weighs at an estimated 3,350 lbs (1,519 kg).

The Italian automaker claimed that performance-wise, the Centenario is more dominant compared to SV but not on a large scale. Only 40 units of the Lamborghini Centenario worth around $1.9 million each will be manufactured and sold globally. Specifically, there will be 20 coupes and 20 convertibles produced to celebrate the 100th birthday of founder Ferrucio Lamborghini, who was born on April 28, 1916. The swanky sports car that was delivered in the US flaunted its awesome bare carbon fiber exterior paired with blue accents to contrast its dark paint.

BMW 2 Series gets a serious facelift, giving it more spunk. The Bavarian company just refreshed the not-so-new model with a limited M240i M Performance Edition. And though the differences between this model and the current model are very subtle compared to the 2 Series update, there’s nothing wrong with adding a few extra features in the special edition package. In fact, updates are almost always a good thing, right?

The company suggests that this M Performance Edition is meant to “express the athletic appeal of the sport coupe even more”. And a sportier car definitely means a faster one right? So let us start off with the upgraded 3.0-liter inline six engine that can yield up to 340 horsepower that is paired to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox - adding only an extra five horsepower over the standard 335 horsepower.

If they choose to get the xDrive all-wheel drive system, they won’t have a choice but get the automatic. Though the company promises that whichever one you get, the 2 Series will get you to 60 miles per hour in a little over four seconds.

Were you ever into the Mitsubishi Lancer? Perhaps you didn’t get a chance to buy one before? Well, now might be your last chance to own one. It hasn’t changed its form much since 2007 but it does have updated styling and advancements when it comes to technology features.

Thanks to some enhancements, the limited edition Lancer intended for the U.S. market looks a little sleeker than before. It features a silver exterior complemented with black 16 inch wheels, door mirrors, fender garnish, upper front grille garnish and roof. To complete the updated exterior, Mitsubishi gave the Lancer a sunroof and a Limited Edition badge. It is currently positioned just above the ES base version. Overall, the exterior looks elegant with an element of subtlety.

But let us get to the interior, the steering wheel, door trim, arm rest, shift knob and brake lever are all finished in black fabric with red stitching accents. Pedals are now upgraded to aluminum, black pillars and headliner, as well as gloss black finishing. As for technology, a 6.5-inch Display Audio System that supports both Apple Carplay and Android Auto has been added. It has kept up with the times.

Well, this is clearly not good news for everyone. Ever since the new BMW M4 CS rolled out in Shanghai last week, several reports about its limited production have quickly surfaced. CarBuzz earlier reported that the BMW M4 CS will be limited to only 3,000 units worldwide. In line with this, the production period for the said model will be running for only two years.

According to Peter Quintus (BMW M’s Head for Marketing), they weren't actually expecting such kind of overwhelming response for the M4 GTS. For those who can recall, all 700 examples have been sold out fast in just four weeks. Quintus added they can no longer build much more than the amount that was stated. But since customers are also looking for more M model varieties to come by, this is how the M4 CS came into the picture. Also, they are looking to add a new CS to the current M Performance lineup. Judging from his statement, we strongly believe it is going to be an M2 CS no less. Of course, the marketing chief did not confirm if it is indeed a BMW M2, but it is very likely to be coming up next.

Going back to the subject, the M4 CS will be available in the showrooms by the middle of next year. Pricing for the UK market will be starting at 89,130 pounds while it will go around at 116,900 euros in Germany.

Just a few days after Toyota released the 86 860 Special Edition (in the US) that didn’t quite live up to the crowd’s expectations, the company again introduced another “limited edition” car. I hope this one will be more of a crowd pleaser.

Now, let us talk about the GT86 Tiger and see what makes this one special. First off, the company mentioned that they will only be producing 30 cars in total, and will be exclusively sold in Germany. If you’re a serious car collector, you will want to get your hands on this extremely rare model. But first, let us tell you what you will be getting.

The exterior of the car can easily be spotted without a doubt. If being seen is your goal, this is for you. The car represents a fierce Bengal tiger - as it will come in a bold “Tiger Orange” paint with black stripes and some more black accents on the pillars, side mirror caps, and the rear wing, giving it a nice contrast with the bright orange base. Completing the overall look with a set of anthracite 17-inch alloy wheels, with Sachs sports dampers. The wheels are the only upgrade this limited model has over the standard one.

When Donkervoort Automobielen BV unveiled its Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS limited edition in May 2016, customer interest has been so overwhelming that the Lelystad, Netherlands-based carmaker sold out this one-of-a-kind vehicle in a very short time. It was not surprising though, since Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS is the successor of the D8 270 RS that managed to set one of the fastest lap records at record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife with a time of 7 minutes and 14.9 seconds.

As a reaction to the huge demand for D8 GTO-RS limited edition, Donkervoort eventually moved to expand the RS series ahead of schedule. In effect, 25 more Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS limited editions will be offered to the public. These 25 special versions will be available in two variants -- D8 GTO-RS Bare Naked Carbon Edition and the D8 GTO-RS Race Edition. The Donkervort D8 GTO-RS Bare Naked Carbon Edition will be available in just 15 examples and as its name well indicates, its carbon fiber components are left exposed or unpainted.

On the other hand, the D8 GTO-RS Bare Naked Race Edition will be available in 10 examples. As its moniker tells us, it will be tweaked to be suitable to be raced on the track. Tweaks include the installation of the non-street-legal sequential gearbox as well as track day elements that could help it improve its lap times while enhancing its driving pleasure. These track day elements include a brand new suspension system and the optional automatic double-clutching feature as well as a fully adjustable racing ABS and traction-control system.
