Liberty Walk’s McLaren 650S is set to appear at 2017 London Motor Show on May 4

Motor show after motor show. Kicking it off at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, several more auto shows are scheduled for the first half of the year. Over the weekend, there was the Belgrade Motor Show, which will be followed by the Seoul Motor Show happening soon. In April, let us not forget the New York International Auto Show, and fans will be brought to Britain when the country’s largest auto show – the London Motor Show takes place over the first weekend of May.

Japanese car tuning company, Liberty Walk, who is known not just for dressing up cars, but actually remodeling the car itself, is scheduled to attend the upcoming London Motor Show. Established in 2008 in Japan, the company develops body kits for the world’s finest cars. And today, there are over 500 hand-built LB Works cars driving around and outside of Japan, including Europe and the US.

The Japanese tuners will be presenting a McLaren 650s that their company customized at the motor show after its premiere in Geneva. The supercar gets a distinctive yellow exterior with green stripes as accents, and layers of clear paint for extra shine.

Jaguar I-Pace Concept shows its Photon Red color on the streets of London

It shouldn’t be a surprise to you that most of us are talking about concept cars just a week after the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. In fact, some of you have probably heard of the Jaguar I-Pace, as it made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2016.

Just four months after it was first announced by Jaguar as its first electronic vehicle, the first ever I-Pace was already spotted hitting the streets of London. This time, in striking Photon Red paint. This one’s a head-turner. But don’t get too excited. The firm just decided to take its all-electric crossover out for a photo shoot. The I-Pace will be built in Austria and is targeted to be launched in the second half of 2018. That’s only about 15 months from now.

And why is this car doing a photo shoot in London? First off, it doesn’t look like Jaguar’s current model range. It’s chunkier and has a wider stance, and has got a low and sleek hatchback silhouette. It’s still beautiful nevertheless. But other than having a beautiful exterior design, the designers gave it a minimalistic cabin, for a change. Some say that the interior resembles that of the new Range Rover Velar, giving it a high-tech look.

Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster raced and crashed in London, damaging two other cars

If you own a Lamborghini Aventador SV (Super Veloce) Roadster, you wouldn’t want to crash it. However, things do happen and if one is unlucky (more likely not careful) enough, he or she could send his or her Aventador SV Roadster crashing.

A driver – reportedly a young man in his early 20s – was recently able to damage his Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster in Park Lane, London after engaging in a street race against another car, which could be a Bentley Continental GT V8 judging from the appearance of its interior. The Aventador SV Roadster in topic is finished in matte black, making it looked like Batman’s heroic ride, the Batmobile. Interestingly, this Aventador SV Roadster is fitted with a personalized number plate “The 84T” (The Bat).

As for the race and the accident, these were recorded by the occupants of the Continental GT V8. Initially, the Continental GT V8 was just lazily cruising through central London until it came to a halt before a traffic light, where the Aventador SV Roadster was already stopped. It took no words between the drivers of the two sporty cars to start a street race as soon as the traffic light shifted from red to green – after all, both were driving extraordinary cars with terrific powers. The next thing that happened was like a scene from The Fast and the Furious film franchise (Fast & Furious 6 in particular). If we could remember, there was also a thrilling chase scene in London.

A major auto show is brewing for the United Kingdom in 2016 after BNC Special Events announced plans to stage one for car enthusiasts in London that year. Stephen Maitland-Oxley, BNC's event director quipped to Automotive News Europe that with UK being the second largest car market in Europe, “it doesn’t seem right that there isn’t a show in London."

However, that show will not be an event recognized by the industry like the British Motor Show, which was last held in 2008. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) canned the British Motor Show due to declining interest from carmakers.

Maitland-Oxley remarked the new event in 2016 will not attempt to recreate the traditional auto show atmosphere, but will be “about getting people into the cars, driving the cars." He said that vehicle safety and low-emission motoring will be strongly represented at the new show, which would be held on May 5-8, 2016 in Battersea Park in London.

Rolls-Royce timed the release of its newly designed badges during the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics. Three Rolls-Royce vehicles -- the Phantom Series II Drophead Coupés -- donned the new badges, which replaced the traditional double R-R badge that the carmaker’s units had been sporting since 1904.

The new grille badge features the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy with patriotic Union Flag supplanting the traditional flowing gown of the Graceful Little Goddess. The steering wheel centre of the coupes includes a traditional laurel wreath and torch, with the self-righting wheel centres featuring the words ‘London 2012’ surrounded by the Olympic motto, ‘Citius, Altius, Fortius,’ which means “Faster, Higher, Stronger.”

The badges are then complemented by distinct tread plates that mark each car as ‘One of Three.’ These plates could be perhaps the most collectable yet unobtainable Rolls-Royce Bespoke items ever produced. The coupés, finished in glorious English White, silently carried three coveted British artistes during an event entitled ‘A Symphony of British Music.’
