Lorinser tweaks the looks of the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W213)

Compared to its predecessor, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W213) is more elegant and more stylish. Abiding by Mercedes’ design philosophy that helps achieve the so-called "Sensual Purity," the next-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class boasts of a look that stirs up emotions.

But it seems that Lorinser, a tuner from Waiblingen, Germany, believes it could do more to make the new Mercedes E Class more stylish. And because it is Lorinser, there is good reason to believe this company. After all, modifying and tinkling Mercedes cars has been the tuner’s specialty, and its experience goes all the way back to the 1930s.

One of the many things that Lorinser did to the new Mercedes-Benz E-class is to increase the output of the engines underneath its bonnet. Mercedes E Class models like the E350d or the AMG E43 could now take advantage of a power boost, thanks to Lorinser’s new engine management system. Typically, the 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine available on the E350d is able to deliver up to 258 hp of output and up to 620 Nm of torque. This allows the Mercedes E350d to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a matter of 5.9 seconds.

Lorinser, the tuning arm of the German carmaker Mercedes-Benz, has announced that it has brought back the 450 SEL 6.9. The super sedan, launched in 1975, was based on the W116 model series. Back then, it was the range-topper as it was said to exemplify luxury, fame and power.

Its 6.9-liter V8 engine was borrowed from the State 600 limousine. Maximum torque was rated at 550Nm while its peak power was 286hp (210kW). Lorinser installed wide square plastic aprons in place of the old slim chrome bumpers. In the rear, the same was done.

The rear held a more copious shape with Lorinser double exhaust pipes. The tuner claims that although the car has a hydro-pneumatic suspension system, the car still handles well.

The Mercedes SL reputation for being both an extremely refined and an equally captivating vehicle has long been alive and can be traced back all the way to the fifties. A recent enhancement by its creators has strengthened this reputation even more. This star sports vehicle has reclaimed its rightful place at the top thanks to the handiwork of Sport service Lorinser.

The prestigious vehicle customizer hailing originally from Swabia has added aerodynamic parts to the car's body which have made it remarkably similar in features to the racing vehicles of days gone by. The first thing to catch the eye is the newly installed spoiler bumper. It boasts three large openings fitted with racing grill inserts, in addition to a spoiler similar in shape to a blade, hanging below the center of the bumper.

The outwardly expanding fender includes a beautifully flowing lip extending from one end to the other. Something sure to bring the original model to mind, rather than the most recent series, are the characteristic air inlets. The side lines show additional unique elements which are the newly added side skirts, also including the characteristic air openings towards the rear.

Camshafts that's hot? In the era of computerized tuning, it seems like a reminiscent of an artifact from the eighties. This is a misconception since no power can be juiced out from a naturally aspirated engine electronically. Still, mechanical methods continue to be the primary choice in this regard, and consistently effective in conjunction with engine management adjustment.

A specific illustration would be the C 350 Limo from the Sport service Lorinser, and irresistible enticement for those who have a passion for petrol: exceptional camshafts and a customized engine control unit have lit up more fires in contrast to the series version of the tremendously successful 3.5-liter V6.

305 hp (224 kW) in place of 272 hp (200 kW) are the product that can be felt in a non-charged engine, particularly because the fast Mercedes-Benz powerfully accelerates with 380 instead of 350 Nm, even at very low RPM.
