Today, we know that celebrity-owned cars aren’t really the most affordable second hand models we could get. But at the same, there are a lot of fans out there who are willing to do anything to get up close with their idols, and for some of them, that means spending more. Wouldn’t you want to buy a car once raced or driven by Michael Fassbender? Well, if you could afford it, why not?
In fact, many celebrity-owned cars have been put up for sale before, including Daniel Craig’s one-off Aston Martin Vanquish. There’s also Elvis Presley’s 1971 Mercedes Benz 280SEL. That’s not all. Even Russia’s leader Putin’s 1995 Mercedes Benz S Class S600 Pullman Guard was once up for sale with a $1,351,740 price tag. We assume this had been purchased already since the ad for it is gone.
But at the time of this writing, there is one high-profile car that really caught our attention. This car had been owned by reigning Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton. It is a 2015 Mercedes-Maybach S600 luxury sedan and its ad is currently up on British used cars listings site, autotrader.co.uk.Read the entire article Lewis Hamilton is selling his Mercedes-Maybach S600
For those of you who have extremely high standards, the Mercedes-Benz S Class may not be opulent enough for you. And this is the reason why the automaker decided to make the high class sedan a notch more luxurious with its Maybach variant. This model will make an appearance at next month’s 2018 Geneva Motor Show, before it goes on sale in the United States in the late summer of 2018.
What makes this variant stand out from its siblings would be the new grille that uses vertical slats, instead of the regular horizontal ones. On the lower fascia, you will find a metallic trim that gives the vehicle a flashier look.
The most prominent change here, however, would be the car’s profile. The 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class now measures 215 inches (5,461 millimeters) long, while riding on a 132.5 inch (3,365.5 mm) wheelbase. This is a whopping 10 inches (254mm) increase than even the long-wheelbase S-Class Sedan. Having said that, passengers should have a lot more leg room in the cabin.Read the entire article 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is refreshed to be more luxurious and longer
Have you seen anything like this yet? Or the better question would be, do you want to see something like this made? With this rendering, a Behance designer amps up the ante of the new Mercedes-Benz X-Class following a Maybach digital transformation. Russian digital artist Nikita Akysonov equipped Mercedes Benz’s pickup truck with massive air intakes, a new bumper plus a new grille with horizontal chrome design and flashy new LED headlights. At the back end of the pickup, a handful of new equipment certainly won’t go unnoticed too such as the new bumper, new tailgate and redesigned taillights in LED.
As standard, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class has been built as a tough performance pickup truck characterized by efficient handling and drivability These are achieved using Mercedes’ comfort suspension with coil springs on both axles, front independent wheel suspension, a multi link suspension at the rear and a ladder type frame. With its advanced design, the new pickup attains both being rugged and stylish.
The thing is, Daimler considers the X-Class to be the first pickup that provides superb performance both on road and off-road. In fact, Mercedes-Benz already has extensive knowledge in developing some of the toughest off-roaders and commercial vehicles like the G-Class and Unimog. Taking this into account, we can consider the new Volkswagen Amarok with V6 TDI engine to be its closest market rival. This is true at least for medium sized pickups with extreme off-road capabilities.Read the entire article Is this Mercedes-Maybach X-Class too over-the-top?
While the release of the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet signaled the end of the G-Wagen, the good news is that this also marks the beginning of a new range. For the next model to come out of this range, Peisert Design is offering a glimpse into this lavish and long sedan.
Conceived by none other than Jan Peisert, he dubs this as the Mercedes-Maybach 850 Landaulet. Using the Mercedes-Maybach S600 sedan as a basis, he adds in the exceptional cues of the Maybach 6 concept, the same car presented in April 2016. This combination results in a concept that has long overhangs in the front and the rear section while having an elegant form worthy of the Maybach name.
Looking at the front, the grille comes with a style that brings to mind the Maybach 6 Concept. There are vertical chrome inserts which are highlighted with the illuminated Maybach logo and which show if the car is in normal driving mode or under the "Chauffeur" mode. Instead of using mirrors, there are now rear view cameras resulting in the aerodynamics being improved. The addition of the shiny LED headlights gives it that added aggressive appearance.Read the entire article Peisert Design redefined luxury with rendering of 2020 Mercedes-Maybach 850 Landaulet
Daimler Group CEO Dr. Dieter Zetsche somehow confirmed that there will be a new SUV in their lineup. This announcement came from the CEO himself while on a press meeting at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Unfortunately, he didn’t go over the details. According to Zetsche, “I’d like to say you will be seeing it, but I’ll leave it at that.”
According to rumors, the luxury SUV will be wearing a Maybach badge. If that’s the case, the SUV will be among Mercedes’ Maybach division which also includes the limited edition S650 Cabriolet. For sure, not everyone would be pleased with the idea but some people would also want an SUV with all the luxurious appointments. Even if it gets delayed for a few more years, we think a Mercedes-Maybach SUV would be more than amazing.
Besides, don’t you think it’s about time that Mercedes-Benz comes up with an ultra-posh SUV? In any case, the German brand’s luxury sport utility vehicle will be pitted against Lamborghini’s Urus, Rolls Royce’s Cullinan and of course, Bentley’s Bentayga model.Read the entire article Daimler CEO confirms that we’ll soon see a Mercedes-Maybach SUV
As you may know already, Daimler decided to cease Maybach production back in 2012 but it appears that the German manufacturer is still planning to use the brand name. According to Automotive News, the Maybach brand name will be used for a top-end, long-wheelbase version of the S-Class flagship sedan.
The new Mercedes-Benz Maybach could debut later this year in the United States, according to company sources. As expected, it will take on cars such as the Bentley Mulsanne and the Rolls-Royce Phantom and will carry a price tag of around $300,000. Daimler has an interesting strategy as it tries to use the Maybach as a model and not a brand.
Moreover, Maybach name could evolve into a subbrand similar to the AMG unit, which builds high-performance versions of Mercedes-Benz models. Just like the Maybach brand, the new S-Class Maybach is expected to carry a high level of equipment and unique styling element.Read the entire article Maybach will return to the market as a top-end version of Mercedes S-Class

Daimler executives have a plan in place to shut down its ultra-luxury brand Maybach, according to a report by the British magazine Auto Express. Maybach was bought by Daimler-Benz in 1960 and was restarted as an automotive brand in 2002, following the unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz Maybach concept in Tokyo in 1997.
Wilhelm Maybach, a former technical director at Daimler, founded Maybach in 1909 as a heavy-duty engine production company. Its first concept car debuted in 1919.
Two years later, it had discovered its niche as a manufacturer of extravagant vehicles. In 1940, automotive production was halted, when the company building engines for German tanks in World War II.Read the entire article Daimler to shut down its ultra-luxury brand Maybach

When the Mercedes-Benz X-Class was unveiled in 2017, it was no doubt a representation of luxury among pickup trucks. While Maybach represents the ultra-luxurious side of Mercedes-Benz, the X-Class isn't one. However, a Polish company that goes by the name of Carlex Design is offering to convert the new X-Class into a Maybach-like pickup in terms of looks and features.
Carlex Design noted that the Mercedes-Benz X-Class deserves to be called as a luxury pickup. Not only that the pickup offers a drive comparable to a sports utility vehicle, it also delivers a smooth comfortable ride. In addition, the new X-Class, in its standard guise, isn't just coz and comfortable, but is also equipped with features found in premium cars. Thus, Carlex Design made the X-Class a subject of a new conversion program that could be availed for as low as EUR105,000. To prove its point, the Polish specialist created an example.
At a glance, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class by Carlex Design is undeniably an X-Class but with a twist. The typical grille of the X-Class has been replaced by that of a Maybach. In particular, this conversion employs a grille from the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz X-Class by Carlex Design offers Maybach looks and interior
The Maybach sub-brand has already come to characterize utmost exclusivity among luxury vehicles. Thus, if Maybach unveils an all-new concept with “ultimate luxury” as part of its moniker, it would only be dutiful to take a peek at this new study. As not to disappoint, a new concept vehicle dubbed as “Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury” has just been unveiled by the sub-brand at the Auto China 2018 in Beijing.
As its name indicates, the new Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury represents how the sub-brand views the future of ultimate luxury, as packed in a shape of a premium crossover. Measuring 5,260 mm in length, 2,110 mm in width and 1,764 mm in height, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury is practically a luxurious electric car powered by four compact permanent-magnet synchronous motors for a fully variable all-wheel drive configuration.
Total output is pegged at 750 hp (550 kW), with energy derived from a flat underfloor battery with a capacity of around 80 kWh. This battery allows the concept to travel more than 500 km as per NEDC, or over 200 miles as per EPA. The study has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.Read the entire article Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury is opulence visualized in a crossover
As we all know, the newest Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury will be officially revealed on April 25. However, even before its actual premiere, images of the said model had already been leaked on the internet. As you can see here, the same images were posted on CarNewsChina. Take note that these are actually the official shots of the new Vision Mercedes Maybach Ultimate Luxury. Some describe this SUV as a sedan with a tall roof and a lot of ground clearance provided by the jacked up suspension.
In fact, Mercedes refers to this as an SUV saloon that will meet the requirements of affluent Chinese buyers who are vital in the success of super luxury car sales worldwide. It obviously has similarities to rival models like the Bentley Bentayga and the upcoming Rolls Royce Cullinan.
As expected, it still gets the aforementioned “bold new grille”, which doesn’t differ from the vertical slats of the facelifted Mercedes Maybach S Class and the much longer Pullman version. In the back is a retro-like split window layout. Nevertheless, we still think that the design on the previous Vision concept looks better. We’re referring to the Vision Mercedes Maybach 6 from two years ago.Read the entire article Leaked Images: Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury electric SUV concept

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has been known to be more than just luxurious as it is also prestigious and exclusive. Now, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has been updated to feature a distinct and revolutionary lighting technology, as unveiled to the global public at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
Image projection is not a new concept in cars. So-called heads up display (HUD) uses light to project images onto the windshield just in front of the driver. The projected image by the HUD system features various information considered as relevant to the functions of the vehicle. This lighting concept is taken into another level by the groundbreaking revolutionary headlamp technology Digital Light. While other headlamps just illuminate the road ahead, Digital Light also projects certain symbols – in HD quality -- directly in the field of vision, serving as a visual aid to the driver of a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Likewise, the projected symbols serve as communication with the surroundings.
This marks the first time that Digital Light is employed in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Digital Light will be soon entering small series production in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, with only a select few of its fleet customers taking delivery of the symbol-project luxurious flagship in the first half of 2018.Read the entire article Updated Mercedes-Maybach S-Class can project driving aid symbols onto the road ahead
Recently, Mercedes-Benz announced that their new compact family will have at least 8 members. That’s a lot to swallow but we never really considered the A-Class would be associated with the Maybach sub brand.
But apparently, its inclusion makes sense to one artist, and that is Aksyonov Nikita. He rendered something that he calls the Mercedes Maybach A-Class. Of course, he took inspiration from no other than other Maybachs in Mercedes’ range - and by looking at his creation, all we can say is that it looks interesting.
The most obvious element in this rendering is the paint. We think that Nikita got this shade of blue from the Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet Concept, except that it has a matte finish instead. Moreover, its front grille as well as the eye catching multi-spoke rims seem to also come from the same model.Read the entire article Mercedes-Maybach A-Class rendered... because why not!
