The Toyota Century’s design may look like it is a little behind our generation, which has caused a rift among customers, but that’s what makes the Century what it is. In fact, there are some people who love this model because of its retro design, as it truly stands out from most full size luxury sedans from the current generation. Too bad for fans outside Japan, the third-generation Century will only be exclusive to the Japanese market, but we are hoping that the next generation makes its way out of its homeland.
Why are we hoping for this all of a sudden? Well, during the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, Top Gear UK was able to interview a Toyota spokesperson, and it was revealed that the automaker is actually keen on bringing the Japan-exclusive Century to other countries - though they did not specify which ones. It will also depend on the demand it has, of course. That’s definitely good news for those who have always wanted a Century in their garage. But we should not be too excited as this has not been confirmed yet, and is currently just a consideration being made. The automaker’s goal is to sell around 600 units annually in Japan. And with that being said, figures should be significantly lower in other regions where the car is not as well known.

The 2017 look book is basically a showcase of gift ideas for the coming holidays. It also happens to be its 91st edition. With a design that featured the “Saint Tropez Dawn” and the “Lago di Como Dawn”, both Rolls Royce and Neiman are able to brilliantly display this year’s most special gifts on the wish list.
To tell the difference, the Saint Tropez’s exterior features an orange shade while Lago di Como is in the shade of blue. The “orangey” Saint Tropez’s interior is a mixture of open pore Canadel wood, seashell leather and shades of chocolate and bright oranges. The Coniston blue convertible meanwhile comes with dark brushed metal dashboard trims instead of wood. Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury brand, recently launched the 2018 Genesis G70 to go against German models like the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4. But while its rivals offer their models in wagon variants, Hyundai doesn’t have a G70 wagon variant. This is because some customers just prefer to have a little more space for their junk. To keep up with the competition, Genesis might need to have a long roof variant of its own. But how would it look? X-Tomi Design helps us imagine it.
The current G70’s design features a flowing roof that goes all the way to its sporty rear, including an integrated upward kink towards the edge of the trunk. X-Tomi Design’s rendering retains its original shape, but stretches it a little creating a longer line and some extra space in the rear. The rear end now gets a spoiler to keep its performance-oriented appearance.
At this moment, Genesis offers three options of the G70 at launch in South Korea, and they have not given any details regarding the US-spec model. The Korean version’s base trim has a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder that carries out 248 horsepower (185 kilowatts), and with the Performance Package, 251 horsepower (187 kilowatts) and 260 pound-feet (353 Newton-metres) of torque. Another option is the 2.2 liter four-cylinder turbodiesel with 200 horsepower (149 kilowatts). And for the range topping trim, you’ll get a 3.3 liter turbocharged V6 that produces as much as 365 horsepower (272 kilowatts) and 376 pound-feet (510 Nm) of torque. A Startech-tuned Bentley Bentayga by far is the most lavishly styled exhibit from the sea of aftermarket specialists that graced the IAA. When an auto manufacturer as large as Jaguar Land Rover has already filled its coffers, and has the backing of one of the largest conglomerates in the world, it could be time for it to expand its reach beyond its current scope. According to Automotive News Europe, citing people privy with the matter, Jaguar Land Rover is eyeing certain acquisitions that might advance its capabilities and offerings down the road.
As reported, the British carmaker owned by Tata Motors – or ultimately by the Tata Group -- is holding internal discussions over acquiring other luxury brands to further diversify its vehicle range. Hoping to acquire international carmakers, Jaguar Land Rover might soon find itself producing and selling another luxury brand. However, Jaguar Land Rover would only be acquiring a luxury brand that would fit its current portfolio, one of the sources told Automotive News Europe.
Likewise, the British carmaker might acquire a tech company that could boost its capabilities in the fields of electrified vehicles and autonomous driving systems, another source told Automotive News Europe. Currently, the brands under Jaguar Land Rover don’t offer any electric vehicle or even a plug-in hybrid unit. That ends next year when Jaguar Land Rover finally introduces the fully electric Jaguar I-PACE, with the carmaker already receiving 25,000 orders for the new EV. Earlier this month though, Jaguar Land Rover announced that it will go green starting 2020 – all of its new vehicles would only be electric or hybrid models by the turn of the decade. A lot of people have been wondering what is that on the Genesis G70’s grille. One really would not notice such a thing from afar, but if you get up close and personal, then you would see something planted on the center of its grille.
Well, experts say that this is a front-mounted radar that works with the driver assist system that the G70 features. This new technology features adaptive cruise control, emergency automatic braking, frontal collision warning and such. A number of automakers have this technology installed on the front end of their cars, but so far, not many of them have great results, but we have yet to see how it works on the Genesis G70.

Wolfgang Durheimer, president of Bugatti, said in an interview with Automotive News that the four-door model "is not dead". Though he did not elaborate on this statement, he said that by 2018, its future will be determined by the Volkswagen Group executives.

Rolls-Royce just unveiled the eight generation of its Phantom luxury flagship, launching the British luxury auto manufacturer into a new era. Aside from the upcoming Cullinan luxury sports utility vehicle that will be introduced in 2018, Rolls-Royce is bent on expanding the premium brand from its current scope.
As reported by Autocar, Rolls-Royce chief executive Torsten Muller-Otvos disclosed that the British luxury brand is looking at broadening the brand beyond its existing models. Despite this development, Rolls-Royce top honcho insisted that the brand isn’t in any pressure to grow, since such growth could be “be detrimental” to luxury. Muller-Otvos noted that it would be nonsense to pursue volume since the brand’s customers wouldn’t be happy to see other Rolls-Royces hitting the road.

BMW will be releasing a limited edition 7 Series in the same way that the 3 Series and 5 Series models got their own anniversary editions from the previous years. The BMW 7 Series Edition 40 Jahre, which is limited to only 200 examples, will be manufactured at BMW’s Dingolfing plant in Germany. Interestingly, this is also where the 7 Series was born and has been produced since 1977.
In line with the celebration of its 40th year, BMW is offering two special paint variants exclusively available from its very own Individual catalogue. Customers can choose between the Petrol Mica metallic (7 Series’ original body color) and the Frozen Silver metallic body paint. Its array of enhancements will include the brand’s high gloss Shadow Line trim, a new set of BMW Individual light V-spoke alloy wheels, as well as BMW’s M Aerodynamics Package. The uber-luxurious sports utility vehicle market is definitely growing quickly, Bentley has its own Bentayga and Rolls-Royce is now prepping the Cullinan. And now, it seems that Land Rover wants a piece of the action by possibly expanding their lineup with a SUV that will sit on top of the current range topper, the Range Rover SV Autobiography.
The juicy details are not really that crystal clear at this point in time due to the fact that it is still a question mark if the Land Rover "SUV" will be a completely different model or just another luxurious trim for the Range Rover. By far, the most expensive and premium Land Rover model was the Range Rover Holland and Holland, which costs around £180,000 in United Kingdom and $244,500 in United States.
Unfortunately, the SUV is no longer available as it was only released for a limited time only. Aston Martin announces its recent partnership with G and G Business Residences in designing the new Aston Martin luxury condominium in Miami, Florida. Like Porsche, the British luxury sports car manufacturer is also setting out with a new venture into real estate development.
Aston Martin Residences will come with 391 luxury condo units, ranging from 700 square feet one-bedroom apartments to 19,000 square feet duplex penthouses with their own private pools. Other than offering a good view of the ocean, the tower’s 55th floor also offers an infinity pool for all owners to enjoy. Albeit the fact that the coachbuilder has already rolled out its “Last of Last” edition in Saudi Arabia just the previous month.
