Mansory reveals dark yet more powerful version of Mercedes-AMG GLS 63

Mansory is one of the aftermarket tuners that could turn a vehicle into an extreme creation. Its makeovers usually don’t only entail dramatic visual modifications but also include performance tweaks. Now, a Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 had such honor to receive one of Mansory’s extreme makeovers, and it looks menacingly splendid.

The Mercedes-AMG GLS63 is easily the S Class of the SUV world. In terms of power, luxury, spaciousness and even technology, the GLS63 could be considered as a dominant model. This is primarily why the GLS 63 premium performance SUV is one of the favorite vehicles that aftermarket tuners like to tweak. Brabus has already released its own turned version of the AMG GLS 63, the Brabus 850 XL. Now, it is Mansory’s turn to showcase its own interpretation of the AMG GLS 63.

Compared to the guise of a typical AMG GLS 63, the appearance of Mansory’s version simply looks more dominant and aggressive. Its more menacing looks aren’t just because of its dark finish, but also thanks to its wider body. Mansory widened the body of the AMG GLS 63 by 25 mm on the front and 40 mm on the rear. Moreover, the side skirts of this tweaked AMG GLS 63 were designed to lend the SUV lower yet more stretched looks.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class by Mansory is a game changer

Remember the first time someone put a television screen inside their car? People got crazy over that, and almost everyone wanted one for themselves. Well, with the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class by Mansory, there’s no need to pimp your ride! Everything has already been pimped out for you. But no, this isn’t like what you see on the television. Not with huge booming speakers and multi-colour LED lights.

The high-end van caters to busy executives. Imagine the space and comfort you get in a first-class suite, all compressed in a van. The Mercedes V250d takes luxury vans to a new level, promoting first-class travel.

So let me get to the point. The Mercedes-Benz V250d has very minimal enhancements when it comes to the exterior. Other than the two-tone paintwork and mirror housings, it now features LED-integrated air ducts for a sportier look, trapezoid exhaust tips, and a custom set of 19-inch wheels and exhaust tailpipes. All of these are composed of carbon fiber.

Mansory offer wide body kit and performance upgrades for Mercedes-Benz G-Class

With the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class expected to be unveiled sometime in 2017, a lot of people are already getting thrilled and excited on how the next-gen would work and look like. This could be mainly because the current generation of the G Class has been so well-accepted and well-liked. In fact, the current generation of the G Class has been in existence since 1990 and a replacement model has yet to be unveiled by Mercedes-Benz. Since then, the G Class has been one of the favorite vehicles that aftermarket tuners have wanted to modify.

One of these tuners is Germany-based tuning company Mansory. This known tuner was able to create a wide body chassis program for the Mercedes-Benz G Class, making the SUV look more aggressive yet ruggedly handsome on the road and off the road. This wide body chassis program includes extensions and carbon fiber components, as complemented by dynamic alloy wheels, an elegant interior and a significant bump in performance. All of these improvements could also be fitted on the Mercedes G350, G500, G63, and G65.

So, what do we specifically get? Well, the G wide body kit from Mansory includes carbon fiber fender flares, front and rear bumper as well as door skins. Once fitted, the G wide body kit – available at a starting price of EUR18,900 excluding value added tax -- extends the serial chassis of the G Class by around 40 mm (or 20 mm on each side). For those who think that the kit isn’t good enough, they could have their G Class fitted with carbon fiber hood, roof panel and a roof spoiler. They could also choose between two or four position lights. These carbon fiber elements could be further complemented by carbon fiber rear-view mirror housing, headlight covers, door handles, and A pillar paneling.

Mansory brilliantly recreates the Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4 Squared

When Mercedes-Benz first introduced the G500 4x4 squared, the encore version of the awesome G-Class 6x6, not everyone was pleased with it. Don’t get us wrong, the car stands out from all other vehicles in its class and is as wild as it can be but buyers were expecting more. Actually, people expected that a G63 AMG version would be released, a more powerful and expensive option than the standard 4x4 squared. As they say, you just can’t get all the good stuff, right?

Now enter Mansory, an auto tuner based in Germany. Mansory is known for uniquely recreating some of the most badass vehicles that have ever walked (or ran) the face of the Earth. They are the brains behind batshit crazily tuned vehicles such as a Gold and Green Rolls-Royce Ghost that looks like something built in Oz, a Bentley Continental GT in contrasting burnt chrome orange wrap and exposed black carbon with matching interiors, and a sexy Mansory Ferrari F12 La Revoluzione in delicious candy colored Revolution Red with exposed carbon weave, a vehicle perfect for the Daredevil. But the “badass-ery” isn’t just on its appearance. Apparently, the German auto tuner has what it takes to create an already powerful vehicle into something extraordinary.

In addition to the growing number of outrageous vehicles (in a good and eye-popping way), Mansory took to their loony workspace the recreation of the Mercedes Benz G500 4x4 squared. The 4x4 squared had to undergo extensive upgrades from a new grille to even cooler LED running lights, some bespoke headlight housings, mirrors, wheel arches and door handles all made of carbon fiber. Even the roof and rear trim were not spared from the reconstruction as all are made of the same lightweight material. Its interior has also been redecorated so that its dashboard, door trims, steering wheel and handbrake were all made of carbon fiber. To provide a more aesthetic value to the interior, the seats were quilted and the stitching matches the color of the exterior paint job.

The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6 arrived back in 2013 with an insane price of 379,000 euros and is already a success among oil sheiks and wealthy Chinese businessmen. Still, people want even more from the G63 AMG 6x6 and Mansory seems to understand this and today it revealed its tuning programme for the German six-wheeled pickup.

The standard version of the G63 AMG 6x6 is powered by a 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine that delivers 544 hp (400 kW) and 700 Nm of torque. Mansory reworked the AMG 8 cylinder twin turbo engine and installed genuine racing components as well as a new exhaust system.

As a result, the V8 engine now delivers an impressive 840 hp (618 kW) and a maximum torque electronically limited at 1,000 Nm. The engine uses the same AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic automatic transmission.

After we saw the Hamann Hawk, it is time to see another tuning programme for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG: behold the Mansory Cormeum. As you can see from the photos, the front end of the car is completely changed and now features a brand new front bumper, bonnet and new headlights borrowed from the Ferrari 599 GTO. We have to admit, the design is quite interesting but we do like the original design, it is much better than this one.

Moreover, the new design also includes new front and rear fenders, side sills, a new rear apron with integrated exhaust system and a new big rear wing. The design is completed by the new 20-inch wheels (21-inch on the rear) nsory wheels wrapped in high performance tires.

Under the hood, the 6.2-liter engine delivers an impressive 660 hp / 485 kW (standard version delivers 563 bhp), but Mansory offers a new performance level where the total output can be increased to 800 hp. Inside, the car features a newly designed centre console, a newly developed full size airbag sports steering wheel, aluminium pedals and real carbon applications.

Whenever Mansory is mentioned, it never fails to capture the interest of true car fans. The German tuning firm has been on the news repeatedly for its unique creations, and this time, it has outdone itself with its release of the state-of-the-art G-Couture. This model, which was designed with fashion designer Philipp Plein, will be limited to seven units.

Pricing has not yet been disclosed but it probably won't be a good idea to set your sights on owning one since it's likely to be priced way beyond most people's budget.

Like all Mansory cars, the G-Couture's exterior is stylish and luxurious. Carbon is used in its entire exterior up to the lower window edge and the roof of the SUV, contributing to the overall performance of the car.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is entering an all-generation in the 2019 model year. Renowned German tuner Brabus is giving the current generation 2018 G-Class a fitting goodbye with the new Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition. Safe to say, it is the final boss for the current G-Class with lots of power within.

Based on the Mercedes-Benz G 63 of the W 463 model series, the Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition preaches it monstrous capability with a number of exclusive features. For instance, the exterior of the new super SUV is marked by the carbon BRABUS roof spoiler above the windshield. This spoiler comes fitted with daytime running lights, both on its left and right sections.

Complementing its 9.5 J x 22 wheels – which are shod with 325/55 R 18 Pirelli Scorpion ATR off-road tires – are massive carbon fender flares.

Carlex Design isn't a beginner with regards to tuning the Mercedes-Benz X-Class. In fact, it has even created a version with Maybach-like appearance and features. It has also created Off-Road-focused and Urban-tailored versions. Now, Carlex Design seems to be not contented with how far it has gone with the X-Class and is now presenting a new concept design for the luxury SUV from Mercedes.

Indeed, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class represents the luxury side of pickup trucks. While offering a drive that is comparable to a sports utility vehicle, the X-Class also delivers a smooth, comfortable ride that is expected of luxurious vehicles. Furthermore, it is laden with features usually found in premium cars. But at Carlex Design, the X-Class can be turned into luxurious 6x6 beast off the road. This can be well seen on the new X-Class Exy 6x6 Concept by Carlex Design.

The X-Class Exy 6x6 Concept is essentially the X-Class evolved into a whole new luxurious beast. It is much different from Carlex Design’s previous re-imaginations of Mercedes’ luxury pickup. The concept pickup has six wheels – two wheels more than a standard X-Class and previous Carlex Design X-Class creations. This also meant an extra axle on the rear section of this X-Class 6x6. The addition of two wheels naturally resulted to an extended bed, allowing this conversion of the X-Class to load and carry a greater volume of cargo.

Plug-in hybrid vehicles are increasingly the mobility of choice for many people. For short drives around the city or urban areas, plug-in hybrid can be switched to all-electric mode for a zero-emission driving experience. However, current plug-in hybrids can only offer up to 50 km (31 miles) of all-electric range.

Mercedes-Benz is hoping to break the status quo by not just surpassing the 50-km barrier, but also offering up to 100 km (62 miles) in pure electric range. Quite a number of plug-in hybrids still offer 30 km of electric range, while there is an increasing number of models that are engineered to reach 50 km.

As divulged by Ola Kallenius, head of Daimler group research and Mercedes-Benz cars development, the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLE PHEV will be the first plug-in hybrid to offer a 100-km range, as per WLTP cycle.

The battle for supremacy in China among premium SUVs with long wheelbases will soon hot as Mercedes-Benz reveals the long-wheelbase version of the GLC. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC L will only be sold in the Chinese market and will compete against the long-wheelbase variant of the Audi Q5 crossover (Q5 L). Mercedes-Benz is expected to unveil the new GCL L to the public at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in November 2018.

When compared, the new Mercedes-Benz GLC L basically looks like the regular wheelbase version – just like any extended model being sold in the Chinese market. However, the long wheelbase variant of the GCL does appear extended on the side because of its now stretched length. This is evident beyond the B-pillars of the new GLC L, where the roofline looks to have grown longer. This is also evident when looking at its rear doors, which now appear to be longer than those in the regular wheelbase version of the GLC SUV.

For its exact dimensions, the new Mercedes GCL L measures around 4.76 meters (187.6 inches) in overall length as well as 1.89 meters (74.7 inches) in overall width. Its wheelbase – the main focus of this version – has grown by around 100 mm (3.93 inches). An extended wheelbase typically results to larger space in the rear cabin, given rear passengers more room to operate, especially with their legs. Since many people in China tend to be chauffeured off than to drive, vehicles with long wheelbases are a hit in this part of the world. Nonetheless, Mercedes will offer both versions of the GLC – regular model and the L variant – in China.

German premium carmaker Mercedes-Benz has created a new plug-in hybrid vehicle that combines the power of two technologies –electricity (battery) and fuel cell (hydrogen). In short distances, it relies on pure electricity. When there is a need to travel over long distance, this plug-in hybrid relies on the power of fuel cell. This is the new Mercedes-Benz GLC F-CELL PHEV.

Using the Mercedes GLC as the base, this technological showcase isn't a futuristic vehicle, but is a real SUV that will be delivered to customers at the end of October 2018. It was originally envisioned as a plug-in hybrid, but now represents an important step by the German carmaker in the development of fuel cell technology.

As engineered, the Mercedes GLC F-CELL PHEV features four operating modes: Battery, Charge, F-Cell and Hybrid. All operating modes are supported by an energy recovery function that allows energy to be recovered during braking or coasting, then store it in the lithium-ion battery.

In terms of performance, the Mercedes-AMG GT – whether in its base or R version -- already packs a good punch. Nonetheless, several tuning companies have already created their own version of the AMG GT, and they all managed to create a greater monster out of the "Beast of the Green Hell." Now, it is the turn of Fostla, a tuning firm from Germany, to show off its own formula of steroids for the AMG GT.

First off, Fostla saw it fit to make the AMG GT look meaner on the road. This entails the fitment of a number of aftermarket parts and components. While these aftermarket parts and components should make the AMG GT become visually more appealing and more dynamic, they should give these beast an aerodynamic advantage.

To achieve this, Fostla saw it suitable to install a widebody kit, which aftermarket package was provided by Prior Design. This widebody kit gave the AMG GT wider hips as well as a rear wing. Prior Design’s aftermarket package likewise includes a number of aerodynamic elements like front and rear flicks as well as a meaner rear diffuser. Up front, the stock front grille of the AMG GT was replaced with a blacked-out configuration evoking the Panamericana grille.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks is introducing the latest generation of its flagship heavy-duty truck – the all-new Mercedes-Benz Actros. The all-new flagship truck is now more efficient, more comfortable, more integrated and more high-tech. For the newest generation, the all-new Actros gets rid of the conventional side mirrors and makes use of side mirror cameras called MirrorCam.

The online introduction of the new Mercedes Actros serves as a precursor to the official unveiling of the all-new flagship truck at the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show, which is scheduled to happen from September 20 to 27, 2018 in Hanover, Germany. It will be available to order as soon as the 2018 IAA show starts, with first batch of deliveries set in spring 2019. The new Actros can be configured according to the requirement and needs of its customers.

Compared to its predecessor, the all-new Mercedes Actros consumes up to five percent less fuel on rural routes as well as up to three percent less fuel on long-distance haulage. Annual mileage in long-distance haulage usually exceeds 120,000 km, and a three-percent less fuel consumption on motorways and expressways means that a lot of fuel and money is saved. This feat is achieved through improved aerodynamics, advanced Predictive Powertrain Control and a new rear axle ratio.

Crime prevention is usually a job for the police authorities. Nonetheless, being in the wrong time and wrong place can make one a victim of a crime. Mercedes-Benz is currently working on an app that would allow drivers and their passengers to not become crime victims.

Places usually not frequented by many people are the usual venues for crimes. Criminals lurk in these places simply because the chances of being seen or caught are quite low. One of these places is the parking area, where vehicles typically outnumber people, except when it is time to go home. Going into a safe parking area already means a lot for any driver. At Mercedes-Benz, its software developers are finding ways to help Mercedes-Benz drivers avoid parking areas that are prone to crime.

Still under development and planned for future use on Mercedes-Benz models in the United State, this new app allows cars to use crime data to recommend safe parking spaces or areas. An in-car service, the new app would cross-reference police statistics with available parking spaces, to tell Mercedes-Benz drivers whether it is safe or not to park in a certain parking space.

Typically called as the Edition 1, this model is essentially a more lavish version of the newly launched next-gen model. It has been a year since Mercedes-Benz unveiled the Mercedes-AMG Project One at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. So far, there has been no or little update from the German premium carmaker. Nonetheless, Mercedes is expected to unveil the production-ready version as well as the final moniker of the Project One next month at the upcoming 2018 Paris Motor Show.

During the year after the Project One was revealed, there has been rumors that Mercedes is also intending to create two more versions of the hypercar. One of these would be an open-top roadster version and the other would a track-only variant that can’t be legally driven on the road. According to TheSupercarBlog.com, Mercedes was planning to build between five to 10 units of the Project One roadster, as well as between 25 to 50 examples of the track-only version.

Of course, Mercedes really had to look into whether developing two more versions of the AMG Project would bring a good case. These two versions – the Project One roadster and track-only model – were evaluated, but evaluations weren’t so positive for them. TheSupercarBlog.com reported that roadster and track-only versions of the Project One were sent to the trash bin in August.

For the past years, Mercedes-Benz has been unveiling spectacular concepts or visions. There were the AMG Vision GT and the Concept IAA, as well as the Vision Maybach 6 and the Vision Maybach 6 Cabriolet. Its latest concept, unveiled at the Monterey Car Week, is likewise nothing short of stunning while showing off the carmaker’s glorious past. This concept is the new Mercedes-Benz Vision EQ Silver Arrow.

Just by looking at this concept, people can’t help but associate with Mercedes’ Grand Prix racing cars in the 1930s. During this period, Mercedes cars were called Silver Arrows. Actually, the new Vision EQ Silver Arrow is inspired by and pays tribute to the 1937 Mercedes W125 Grand Prix racing car. Driven by the legendary Rudolf Caracciola, the W125 set a new speed record on public roads in 1937 after averaging 432.7 km/h (268.8 mph) on the A5 autobahn between Frankfurt and Darmstadt. This record sat untouched for around 80 years, until it was broken in November 2017.

Just like the 1937 W125, the Vision EQ Silver Arrow features a long and extended front section and short front overhang. The round cockpit glazing of the Vision EQ Silver Arrow -- modeled on a drop of water in terms of outline and cross-section – was also inspired by the W125. Similar to the Silver Arrows, this one-seater concept is wrapped in alubeam silver paint.
