The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has been known to be more than just luxurious as it is also prestigious and exclusive. Now, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has been updated to feature a distinct and revolutionary lighting technology, as unveiled to the global public at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
Image projection is not a new concept in cars. So-called heads up display (HUD) uses light to project images onto the windshield just in front of the driver. The projected image by the HUD system features various information considered as relevant to the functions of the vehicle. This lighting concept is taken into another level by the groundbreaking revolutionary headlamp technology Digital Light. While other headlamps just illuminate the road ahead, Digital Light also projects certain symbols – in HD quality -- directly in the field of vision, serving as a visual aid to the driver of a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Likewise, the projected symbols serve as communication with the surroundings.
This marks the first time that Digital Light is employed in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Digital Light will be soon entering small series production in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, with only a select few of its fleet customers taking delivery of the symbol-project luxurious flagship in the first half of 2018.Read the entire article Updated Mercedes-Maybach S-Class can project driving aid symbols onto the road ahead
For those of you who have extremely high standards, the Mercedes-Benz S Class may not be opulent enough for you. And this is the reason why the automaker decided to make the high class sedan a notch more luxurious with its Maybach variant. This model will make an appearance at next month’s 2018 Geneva Motor Show, before it goes on sale in the United States in the late summer of 2018.
What makes this variant stand out from its siblings would be the new grille that uses vertical slats, instead of the regular horizontal ones. On the lower fascia, you will find a metallic trim that gives the vehicle a flashier look.
The most prominent change here, however, would be the car’s profile. The 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class now measures 215 inches (5,461 millimeters) long, while riding on a 132.5 inch (3,365.5 mm) wheelbase. This is a whopping 10 inches (254mm) increase than even the long-wheelbase S-Class Sedan. Having said that, passengers should have a lot more leg room in the cabin.Read the entire article 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is refreshed to be more luxurious and longer
Recently, Mercedes-Benz announced that their new compact family will have at least 8 members. That’s a lot to swallow but we never really considered the A-Class would be associated with the Maybach sub brand.
But apparently, its inclusion makes sense to one artist, and that is Aksyonov Nikita. He rendered something that he calls the Mercedes Maybach A-Class. Of course, he took inspiration from no other than other Maybachs in Mercedes’ range - and by looking at his creation, all we can say is that it looks interesting.
The most obvious element in this rendering is the paint. We think that Nikita got this shade of blue from the Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet Concept, except that it has a matte finish instead. Moreover, its front grille as well as the eye catching multi-spoke rims seem to also come from the same model.Read the entire article Mercedes-Maybach A-Class rendered... because why not!
A few months ago, Mercedes-Benz promised that they will be treating everyone to a “big surprise” during the Monterey Car Week. And true enough, many of us were stunned as they unveiled the all electric Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet convertible version of the hardtop model that made its debut at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance last year.
Just like an art piece, this model is no doubt a head turner just like its predecessor. The Vision 6 Cabriolet stretches out to nineteen feet in length, and it sits on 24-inch wheels. Its hood appears extra long, while the tail tapers uniquely to a certain point. The front fascia gets a huge grille finished in chrome, which contrasts with the slim headlights. Mercedes actually refers to the rear end as a “boat tail”, complementing the Nautical Blue Metallic name for the exterior finish.
The Vision 6 Cabriolet’s interior completely stands out from the exterior. The two-seater cabin is finished in a clean white interior with silver accents - from the seats, the dashboard, to the steering wheel. The center console gets a wing-like “flowing” design that is given an ambient blue lighting around the elements, as well as the door panels. The illuminated dots around the seats all have tiny backlit Mercedes logos.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz surprises us with Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet
Have you seen anything like this yet? Or the better question would be, do you want to see something like this made? With this rendering, a Behance designer amps up the ante of the new Mercedes-Benz X-Class following a Maybach digital transformation. Russian digital artist Nikita Akysonov equipped Mercedes Benz’s pickup truck with massive air intakes, a new bumper plus a new grille with horizontal chrome design and flashy new LED headlights. At the back end of the pickup, a handful of new equipment certainly won’t go unnoticed too such as the new bumper, new tailgate and redesigned taillights in LED.
As standard, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class has been built as a tough performance pickup truck characterized by efficient handling and drivability These are achieved using Mercedes’ comfort suspension with coil springs on both axles, front independent wheel suspension, a multi link suspension at the rear and a ladder type frame. With its advanced design, the new pickup attains both being rugged and stylish.
The thing is, Daimler considers the X-Class to be the first pickup that provides superb performance both on road and off-road. In fact, Mercedes-Benz already has extensive knowledge in developing some of the toughest off-roaders and commercial vehicles like the G-Class and Unimog. Taking this into account, we can consider the new Volkswagen Amarok with V6 TDI engine to be its closest market rival. This is true at least for medium sized pickups with extreme off-road capabilities.Read the entire article Is this Mercedes-Maybach X-Class too over-the-top?
Sometime last year at the Chateau de Chantilly located 50 km northeast of Paris, rare automobiles from different parts of the world gathered to flaunt their premium looks. The longest coupe in the world, the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 caught the eyes of many present at the Concours d'Elegance. It was a sight to behold. The exquisite coupe was presented for us to see into the future of luxury cars. The brand certainly outdid itself as it created a truly breathtaking study – the Mercedes-Maybach ECHO concept, a supercar that can take on the road as early as the year 2030.
Since the aforementioned Vision 6 Luxury Coupe design concept was made to showcase the future of premium hypercars, then a self-driving Maybach concept is just as timely as the coupe. The concept drawing came from the creative hands of design expert Hawan Park, who managed to create a car that features both futuristic as well as class, while also deducing how the visionary vehicle's wooden structure aids to disperse sound. Wood is the top material of choice for the interior akin to concert halls that possess unique mechanical and acoustic features.
This characteristic is the reason why wood is frequently utilized to build musical instruments. The 1.38meter-high car is shown with an interior covered in fine wood and other high-end materials. Furthermore, the ECHO concept will also flaunt a lot of novelties that include an awesome hologram projector that is located in the front of the cockpit, the gull-wing doors, and a flexible seat suspension. Aesthetically, the hypercar can certainly fit in a sci-fi movie with its elongated hood and millimetre clearance from the ground, and the fact that one is sitting so far away from the front adds a bad-ass touch.Read the entire article A car envisioned for 2030: the Mercedes-Maybach ECHO Concept
For those wondering what having a luxury lifestyle entails, it is about revealing extravagance at every chance. No wonder many car enthusiasts are intrigued with the idea of a Smart Fortwo being reimagined as a Maybach.
Done by Peisert Design, one interesting change is that the front fascia has become flashy. Another thing that perks up the interest of many fans is how the design manages to effortlessly blend the large wheels to the micro car shape of the Smart. For those who want specifics, these are the 22-inch wheels inspired by the Maybach S650. Meanwhile, the front lights and the front grille are based mainly from the Maybach 6 Concept.
Interior-wise Peisert Design used some of the features from the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class. An excellent example is the full-length glass infotainment system/instrument cluster. Further, fitted to it are two electric motors which drive each wheel. Finally, since it comes from a tradition of luxury, both the sides and the roof utilize carbon fiber panels.Read the entire article Peisert Design shows Smart Fortwo reimagined as Maybach
Remember the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet that made its debut back in November 2016 at Los Angeles Auto Show? Yup, that’s the upscale version of the already luxurious S65. A few years ago, Daimler revived the Maybach nameplate to do a collaboration with Mercedes’ S-Class Sedan. The result was an extra-long super high-end sedan, looking all muscular, but at the same time, sensual.
Ever since then, Mercedes and Maybach have launched a couple of special edition vehicles, including the limited edition G650 Landaulet, where only 99 units were built. Alongside that was the S650 Cabriolet that is limited to 300 units.
It seems like the 300 units they were planning to build have already been built. Images online show dozens of the Mercedes Maybach S650 Cabriolet parked outside the Brabus headquarters in Bottrop. These images were posted on a German website Mercedes-Benz Passion Blog. And sources say that these beauties, painted in ivory, were made by the three-pointed star logo, and the 621 horsepower cabriolets are being upgraded by Brabus to their necessary specifications.Read the entire article Spotted: Numerous Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet lined up outside Brabus factory
While the release of the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet signaled the end of the G-Wagen, the good news is that this also marks the beginning of a new range. For the next model to come out of this range, Peisert Design is offering a glimpse into this lavish and long sedan.
Conceived by none other than Jan Peisert, he dubs this as the Mercedes-Maybach 850 Landaulet. Using the Mercedes-Maybach S600 sedan as a basis, he adds in the exceptional cues of the Maybach 6 concept, the same car presented in April 2016. This combination results in a concept that has long overhangs in the front and the rear section while having an elegant form worthy of the Maybach name.
Looking at the front, the grille comes with a style that brings to mind the Maybach 6 Concept. There are vertical chrome inserts which are highlighted with the illuminated Maybach logo and which show if the car is in normal driving mode or under the "Chauffeur" mode. Instead of using mirrors, there are now rear view cameras resulting in the aerodynamics being improved. The addition of the shiny LED headlights gives it that added aggressive appearance.Read the entire article Peisert Design redefined luxury with rendering of 2020 Mercedes-Maybach 850 Landaulet
Certainly, it’s going to be a groundbreaking event. Mercedes gears up for the upcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show next month with its first ever Maybach-treated open top off-roader. Expect the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet to arrive at Geneva in style amidst its off-the-beaten track performance characteristics. Why? Because the G650 Landaulet is a combination of extreme off-road capability and luxury under one roof.
The G-Class has been equipped with new portal axles and an electronically controlled fabric top, making it an exceptional masterpiece in automotive and engineering. The high riding portal axles provides as much as 18 inches of ground clearance while the twin-turbocharged 463kW 6.0 liter V12 engine delivers up to 621hp and 738 lb-ft of powerful torque.
Since the open-top SUV is inspired by the first G-Wagen that came out in 1979, Classic car collectors will find it hard to pass up on the chance of having the new, one-of-a-kind Maybach. To make it more exclusive, Mercedes will be making just a total of 99 examples of the most expensive G-Class so far.Read the entire article Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet revealed ahead of 2017 Geneva launch
Since most of the exciting road trips happen off the beaten track, Mercedes-Benz came out with off-road vehicles like the G500 4x4² and the AMG G63 6x6. And now, after thirty-eight years, the German marque finally gave the old G-Class a more serious update. The new G65 AMG 4x4² convertible is set for its official debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Also known as the Mercedes-Maybach Landaulet, the off-road convertible is expected to come with a 621bhp 6.0-liter, V12 petrol twin turbo engine.
As seen on its official Facebook page, the new 4X4² Mercedes-AMG is like the Mercedes G-Wagen without the roof on it. Perhaps we can safely assume that it has the combination of G500 and G63 6x6 DNA. But aside from these, there are no further details except for the very revealing central brake lights on top of the spare tire and the wheel arches in carbon fiber finish.
Unlike the standard 4X4² with only 416hp, the AMG modified G65 4X4² boasts up to 621hp. This will make it the toughest and most absurdly potent off-road vehicle to ever come out of Mercedes to date. The folding fabric rooftop is electronically operated, similar to what the Maybach 62 Landaulet sedan had been using since 2007.Read the entire article Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet unveiled but not officially
Daimler Group CEO Dr. Dieter Zetsche somehow confirmed that there will be a new SUV in their lineup. This announcement came from the CEO himself while on a press meeting at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Unfortunately, he didn’t go over the details. According to Zetsche, “I’d like to say you will be seeing it, but I’ll leave it at that.”
According to rumors, the luxury SUV will be wearing a Maybach badge. If that’s the case, the SUV will be among Mercedes’ Maybach division which also includes the limited edition S650 Cabriolet. For sure, not everyone would be pleased with the idea but some people would also want an SUV with all the luxurious appointments. Even if it gets delayed for a few more years, we think a Mercedes-Maybach SUV would be more than amazing.
Besides, don’t you think it’s about time that Mercedes-Benz comes up with an ultra-posh SUV? In any case, the German brand’s luxury sport utility vehicle will be pitted against Lamborghini’s Urus, Rolls Royce’s Cullinan and of course, Bentley’s Bentayga model.Read the entire article Daimler CEO confirms that we’ll soon see a Mercedes-Maybach SUV
It’s not everyday that we hear stories about horrible car accidents but it seems this year has brought us a lot of bad news. What’s tragic is that the cars involved are not just average cars. Among the unfortunate incidents are those that destroyed a black Maybach 62S and the Pagani Zonda ZoZo that collided in Tokyo, Japan. Read on.
Based on the photos that surfaced after the accident, the Maybach was behind the one-off Pagani Zonda. Judging from this angle, the luxury sedan isn’t badly hurt. But still, we feel bad for the owner of the Pagani. The special Zonda was made to order by Zozotown founder Yusaku Maezawa. He had it equipped with a powerful 750 hp 7.3 litre V12 AMG engine apart from the specially designed carbon fibre exterior.
Just a few weeks ago, the 41-year old Maezawa posted a video on Instagram showing his beloved Zonda ZoZo alongside an Aston Martin One-77.The online shopping magnate only had his ZoZo in shorter than a year and so it doesn’t feel right to see it go just like that.Read the entire article One-off Pagani Zonda ZoZo faces horrible crash in Japan
How do you solve the problem of having too much demand yet having too little supply? Typically, this problem is solved by increasing production of the product that is high demand. Automakers have been tackling this problem by increasing the capacities of their plants or having a contract manufacturer take care of a small chunk of the planned production.
However, if the product is something that is very exclusive, increasing production might not be the best option to take. After all, doing so might dent its exclusivity, and its tag price. That would be the very case of the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet.
As we can see, Mercedes is only producing 300 examples of the ultra-luxurious Maybach S650 Cabriolet – which should be fine considering that each example is given the utmost attention and craftsmanship when being built. Of these 300 examples, around a fourth -- or 75 examples – is earmarked for the United States, where its price soars to more than $300,000. That is not a problem, at the least.Read the entire article Mercedes-Benz USA to handpick best customers for 75 allocated Maybach S650 Cabriolet units
It was around two years ago when Mercedes-Benz put forth the notion of releasing a Maybach SUV. Since then, rumors have been circulating about this possibility but top level management remains unsure on how to proceed. The latest speculation going around is that once the brand releases the production version of its EQ electric crossover, it may undergo the Maybach experience.
Regarding the first rumor, none other than the brand’s Chief of Global Sales Matthias Luhrs revealed to Top Gear that the brand is still closely studying all the possible options and indeed, having a Maybach SUV is one such choice. In relation to the second, the company continues to study the EQ Mercedes and should the brand proceed with a Maybach version, it remains to be too early to say, he added.
Based on various sources, the brand is putting off creating a Maybach SUV only after it has released the next generation of its products. There is the possibility for instance that rather than the EQ, the company may opt to begin with a future version of the GLS-Class. Should this happen, it is expected that the price can be in the six-figure range. Still, many enthusiasts are waiting for this as this Mercedes-Benz model could challenge not only the Rolls-Royce Cullinan but even the Bentley Bentayga.Read the entire article Upcoming Maybach SUV is rumored to be electric-powered

Mercedes-Benz revealed that it is preparing to present a more luxurious version of its S-Class Cabriolet. Dubbed as the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet, the brand made sure that both the exterior and interior would get the Maybach treatment. Based in Stuttgart, Germany, Maybach is a subsidiary of Daimler AG and is responsible for the manufacture of the brand's ultra-luxury model which is the S-Class. Mercedes disclosed as well that this special edition version of the S650 will be unveiled this Wednesday, November 16, 2016, in Los Angeles.
Considering that the brand gave it the “S650” label, this meant that the special edition will be powered by the 6.0-liter bi-turbo V12 engine. Given this specification, there is the possibility that this particular engine is expected to be more powerful than the one inside the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Sedan. Speaking of the latter’s engine, it is able to deliver an output of 390 kW (523 horsepower) with peak torque of 830 Nm (612 lb.-ft.).
Even then, there is also no confirmation if the power unit inside the special edition will even go as high as 463 kW (621 horsepower) or reach a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm (738 lb.-ft.), which is the same engine that powers the S65 AMG. In addition, there is also no word if the 12-cylinder engine will come with a different tune.Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet to be revealed at the 2016 LA Auto Show
When people get their sweet rides into the hands of some tuning companies, chances are it’s in for an extra something – or more. We’ve been used to seeing auto tuning companies the likes of Mansory do more than just enough to some of its projects. Not all come to like the over-the-top impact. Some of their tuning projects have received more than a few dejected reactions from purists and fans alike, most likely in the way that these tuning companies have turned once-beautiful pieces into a hideous collection of metal and steel.
But throw out all thoughts that that they’ve retired from the practice of turning a handsome car into a horrifying piece of metal. Just recently, Scaldarsi unveiled their newest collection called the Emperor collection; and the first amongst 11 models to get the emperor treatment is the Mercedes-Maybach S600 which they have called the Scaldarsi Emperor I. From what we’ve seen so far, the car gets an 11 score on the bad-taste scale because most people think the auto tuner could’ve done more than ruin the image of the already glamorous S600. We just can’t un-see.
How bad is it you ask? Well first of all, the car looks already stunning on the outside except that the so-called artists who worked on it thought it fun to put some 24-karat rose gold accents. Rose gold is certainly a thing now but who does that with their car, right? The rose gold accent really does pop out but it does not mean that it looks good on an S600. Other than that, the company made a new front fascia and did a bit of modification such as side and rear treatments.Read the entire article The Scaldarsi Emperor I is a big no-no for Mercedes-Maybach S600 purists and fans
A year ago we were introduced to Mercedes-Benz’ F015 Luxury in Motion self-driving concept car. Although the German automaker is not on the forefront of the self-driving car revolution, it has been developing its own technologies to be able to catch up in the self-driving car development race.
Now, Mercedes-Benz is back with an all-new concept car. Officially introduced at the Monterey Car Week festivities at Pebble Beach, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept car exudes timeless elegance that will make people look back and reminisce the streamlined exterior designs of the 1930s. The concept car takes on inspiration like that on pre-war Bugattis and Talbot-Lagos. Its classic styling perfectly fits into place with all other vehicles that are being displayed at the Concours d’Elegance at the Pebble Beach.
The whole concept of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept car is a combination of “sensual purity” and “aerodynamic efficiency” -- concepts that Daimler AG design lead Gorden Wagener hopes to project to its audience. The car itself is a mixture of some sizzling “emotional design” with some “intelligent details” to balance out the flavors of the Vision 6.Read the entire article The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is a classic yet high-tech concept car
