McLaren will be offering customers of its Sports Series models more choices when it comes to customizations. The automaker has also upgraded its range of options. Undoubtedly, customers are sure to adore the performance-oriented Sport Pack in the 570GT model as it has many of the advantages offered by the 570S.
Compared to the standard version, the Sport Pack makes the front stiffer by 15% and the rear by 10%. Steering was enhanced as well as it has been made quicker by 2%. In addition to the quicker steering rack and the stiffer springs, the Sport Pack also comes with new damper software and improved stability control settings. Unlike the standard model, the carbon ceramic brakes are now fitted as standard rather than offered as an option. Further instead of the typical P Zeros tires, it will now have the hybrid track/road Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. However the electrochromic tinted roof is an option.
Those who want the Sport Pack will need to shell out around $6,600 (£4,900). Even then, McLaren estimates that 60% of the current 570GT customers are likely to avail of the Sport Pack.Read the entire article 2018 McLaren 570GT gains new Sport Pack, 5 Design Edition Packs
Gazing at this beauty only reminds us how the McLaren 570S and the 720S supercar have always shared a resemblance. McLaren thoughtfully handed down its design cues to the entire range; beginning with the 650S followed by the 570S and later on, combined all of them with a bit of variations for the new 720hp model. Even so, we believe the 570GT and the 570S will continue to reign as McLaren’s true style icons. Further, did you know that by adding a small number of special body kits on a 570S, the results would be far more striking than anyone would have imagined?
Take for example, this McLaren 570S with a new set of chrome HRE Wheels. The very modest-looking twin five spoke wheels can make such big difference especially in making the car look sharper and more aggressive. Other than the variety of wheel design, the 570S can have a few other alternatives to highlight its side, front and rear profile. Aftermarket parts such as those that are made with carbon fiber, a new set of side skirts, new roof air vents, or maybe a modified rear wing and front end are available to help intensify its superb features.
As a refresher, the 570S range actually consists of three different models. There is the 570 GT, the 570 S Spider and the 570S Coupe. In all three, the S is the sportiest while the Gran Turismo is credited for providing comfort during long road trips. Despite the slight differences, these three share the same 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 engine capable of up to 562hp. Likewise, each one comes with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission to push power to the rear wheels. Having tested to run from zero to 60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds, the S models obviously have slightly quicker acceleration than the GT albeit all three have the same 204 miles per hour top speed.Read the entire article Check out the chrome HRE Wheels on this aftermarket body kit for the McLaren 570S
When McLaren first designed the 570GT, the objective was to have a sports car that would be able to deliver daily practicality and comfort while offering a performance expected from a mid-engine sports car. For NOVITEC however, this appears to be not enough. Headquartered in Germany, NOVITEC manufactures car performance and tuning parts and has only recently included the McLaren in its portfolio.
Currently, the 570GT is equipped with the eight-cylinder twin-turbo 3.8-liter which gave NOVITEC an excellent platform when it comes to engine tuning. For the 570GT, engine specialists at the German-based tuning company came up with three different performance kits. Each of these can be activated by merely pressing a button placed on the Active Dynamic Panel. Further, there are two plug-and-play NOVITEC N-TRONIC modules integrated to the model’s electronic engine control which can manage the ignition, injection, and even increase the pressure control through new mapping.
Going back to the performance kits, one of them comes with the high-performance NOVITEC RACE exhaust system. With this, output is increased by 76 hp (56 kW) to 646 hp (475 kW). It also boosts peak torque to 510 lb.-ft. (692 Nm) from 443 lb.-ft. (601 Nm). These figures mean that the 570GT can now go from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 3 seconds. In the base version, the 3.8-liter V8 engine could only do the same in 3.4 seconds. That said, maximum speed was also increased from 204 mph (328 km/h) to 208 mph (335 km/h).Read the entire article McLaren 570GT is made sportier by NOVITEC with 637 hp upgrade
Since 1999, German auto tuner WheelsAndMore has been in the business of redefining sports, luxury and exotic cars. They specialize in customizing “multi-piece special lightweight wheels”, pairing these “new shoes” with even more power – offering valve-controlled exhaust systems for sports and supersport cars, as well as power upgrades. All these upgrades are handcrafted to ensure high-end quality for these customized cars. They offer customization for high-end vehicles such as the Ford GT, the Maserati MC Stradale, Mercedes-AMG GT R, and the latest being the McLaren 570GT.
Customization of the McLaren 570GT starts by adding sports catalytic converters, low-pressure exhaust system, and giving it a software upgrade. These allow the 570GT’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine to produce 650 PS (641 horsepower) and 700 Nm (516 lb.-ft.) of torque – that’s about 80 PS (79 hp) and 100 Nm (74 lb.-ft.) more than the standard Grand Tourer. With this much power, the tuned 570GT has the capacity to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in only 3.2 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds quicker than the standard version. Although packed with more power, it does not change the top speed record at 328 km/h (204 mph).
WheelsAndMore also offers appearance upgrades. These include a set of height-adjustable springs – but no worries, these will not affect the nose-lift system (the one that’s responsible for assuring passengers a smooth ride over speed bumps) of the vehicle. The German tuning company also offers 20-inch front and 21-inch rear F.I.W.E handmade ultralight forged wheels – WheelsAndMore’s very own creation – which are respectively wrapped in 235/30 and 295/30 ContiSportContact 6 tires. And according to them, these are “nicer and wilder” than the standard 570GT rims, perfect for those who want to kick it up a notch in terms of exterior design.Read the entire article WheelsAndMore showcases tuning expertise on the McLaren 570GT
