With 720 PS (710 hp or 530 kW) of max output, a carbon fiber chassis, aerodynamic body and stunning sports car design, the McLaren 720S is nothing short of amazing. By next year, customer teams can pilot a race-focused version of the Super Series as the British carmaker announces the eventual arrival of the new McLaren 720S GT3.
Being developed by McLaren Automotive’s new customer racing division, the 720S GT3 has just finished undergoing extensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. Now, the development program is in the track-based phase, which includes a punishing test regime that should help validate the GT racer’s key performance data as well as long-distance durability. Track testing is now being conducting extensively across Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
Development prototypes are scheduled to cover over 18,500 miles to confirm the GT racer’s exceptional durability and efficiency. The program also includes various 24- and 36-hour tests. The first two development prototypes have already began the test program that will cover tracks on Europe and the US. Carlex Design is well known for its numerous customized vehicles and their lavish interiors. Most of the time, these custom interiors are far from subtle too, using expansive amounts of fine leather and Alcantara. While the interiors are definitely loud, it can’t be denied that the aftermarket company has great taste. One of the tuner’s latest work is this McLaren 720S with a gorgeous burgundy interior that matches its exterior with a personal touch. It would be an understatement to call this one unique. We’re willing to bet that there’s nothing out there like it.
The McLaren 720S’ cabin has been given essentially everything by the tuner. These range from leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber, to quilted designs and perforations. The whole modification process took Carlex three weeks to complete, and the company gave it all its time and effort into finishing the project, modifying the seat upholstery, steering wheel, door panels, center console, dashboard, the full floor, headliner, and the space behind the seats. In fact, no part of the interior has been left untouched.
As for the exterior, Carlex customized the McLaren 720S with painted eagle wings on the side. Apparently, the theme for the entire car revolves around a history motif of 16th to 18th century “winged” Polish cavalry. Overall, the exterior design goes well with the exterior colour as well as the carbon fiber package from the factory. Ferrari recently revealed their latest project, dubbed the SP38, which is a one-off based on the 488 GTB that uses its chassis and running gear. This model was ordered from them by one of their most dedicated customers. This customer has allegedly already received the keys to the supercar at the Fiorano track, and the car was put through its paces just after its reveal.
Without a surprise, the car’s design comes from the Ferrari Design Center and reflects the vision of the customer, an enthusiast who has a real passion for racing. The result? A gorgeous supercar that expresses all the beauty and innovation inherent in Ferrari’s road cars - the car is equally as good on the road and on the track. As for the design, it gets most of its inspiration from the iconic F40, from which the three layer metallic red paint also draws impulse. This paint job marks a radical departure from the language aesthetic of the donor car. It also has a twin turbo, twin intercooler set-up.
When you give the front end a closer look, you will notice that it has a pair of unusual headlights, which were especially designed for the SP38. The mandatory daytime running lights have also been moved to the front bumper to allow for an extremely thin headlights form. According to a posting on Craigslist, the seller is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The model is a new McLaren 720S and was initially offered for 30 BTC before the seller lowered it to 25 BTC. If there is one thing that Pagani Automobili and Fiat have in common, it is the fact that they are Italian companies that build and assemble vehicles. There is currently no connection between the two companies or the two Italian brands. However, a one-off sports car project is serving as a bridge between Pagani and Fiat, at least visually.
Here is the new Pagani Huayra Lampo, a one-off creation that was born from the collaboration between Pagani and Garage Italia Customs. No, the Pagani Huayra Lampo didn’t come into existence as a project between Pagani and Fiat. However, the new Huayra Lampo wraps itself in a retro theme heavily inspired by a Fiat of the 1950s. This Fiat vehicle -- the 1954 Fiat Turbina -- was very well known despite never coming out of production and remaining as a concept car.
Fiat introduced the Turbina in 1954 as an engineering concept that makes use of a gas turbine for propulsion power. The Turbina was known for employing a mid-mounted powerplant with three different turbines: two serving as compressors for the third turbine, which propels the wheels. This engine delivers 300 hp (220 kW) of max output, enough to allow the Fiat Turbina to reach a top speed of 155 miles per hour. Furthermore, the Fiat Turbina has a very low coefficient of drag value of 0.14 Cd, a record it held for 30 years. But Fiat had to discontinue the Turbina because it consumed too much fuel and had issues with overheating. McLaren revealed that a 720S GT3 is already underway and will in fact keep their hands very busy for the most of 2018, considering that most of the development will be taking place at the company’s new facility in Woking, England. Despite not disclosing any technical details, McLaren at least shared a couple of renderings of the 720S GTS to give everyone a glimpse of its future racecar.
We’ve noticed on the rendering that it turns out to appear more aggressive than its road going version mainly for its race-spec features. For one, the 720S GT3 now has a new pair of dive planes-- one on the left and one on the right. It also has a new vented hood at the middle plus huge new air intakes at the front end. Even the pair of side mirrors seems to have an air of aerodynamic quality into them as well.
There are several other racing characteristics which will surely not go unnoticed even if you don’t have a keen eye for detail. McLaren unveiled a one-off Gold - on - Black 720S at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show which will be on display throughout the entire stretch of this week’s event. The rare showcase is from a special client of the British marque’s bespoke engineering division.
McLaren Special Operations or MSO’s latest project is the 720S coupe in satin black with gold elements that also features gold alloy wheels, a 24-carat gold engine heat shield and some gold stencils at the rear spoiler bearing Bruce McLaren’s famous quote in 1964.

All eyes were turned to the fuchsia pink bespoke McLaren 720S MSO at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Sunday. Surely, we can understand why. The one-off supercar, which was commissioned by entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael Fux and was created by the British automaker’s bespoke division, wears a very bright, eye catching body paint of pink tone with a hint of purple.
Featuring what is called the “Fux Fuschia” color scheme, the MSO 720S was tailor-made to perfection to meet its owner’s unique taste. Starting from the striking exterior up to its luxurious cabin with custom leather and white stitching, down to its lightweight alloy wheels in platinum. Other highlights consist of the cabin’s carbon fiber elements, the pinstriped steering wheel, the fuchsia pink rear view mirror cover as well as the window surrounds and exhaust pipes in Stealth Gray finish. It also comes with white floor mats to complete the all-white theme interior scheme.
A well-known car enthusiast, Fux has over a hundred luxury cars in his collection and many of those are custom made with some unusual colors. There’s one McLaren P1 in green, a McLaren 12C Spider in purple and a McLaren 12C in orange and now comes the new Fuchsia Fux pink McLaren MSO 720S. We first saw the McLaren 720S earlier this year when it made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, and we all agree that it is a beautiful car. But did you know that this particular model has already been sold out? Well, at least until 2018. You heard me right, if you plan to get a 720S this year or next, then it is already too late.
The McLaren 720S got into production in April at the company’s Woking UK facility. And since then, they have already received a total of 1,500 orders of the said model, according to Autocar. In fact, some customers even ordered two examples of the vehicle. Some of them want two, where one will be delivered before the year ends, while another example will go through some customization at McLaren’s Special Operations center.
As a refresher, the 720S will come standard with a biturbo V8 with an output of 710 horsepower (529 kilowatts), but it’s expected to still be pushed even further. In just 2.8 seconds, it can sprint to 62 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) from a standstill. As far as McLaren is concerned, the new mid-engine, rear–wheel-drive, two-seater McLaren 720S has a new 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine that delivers a max power output of 710 hp (529 kilowatts) at 7.500 rpm as well as 537 pound-feet of torque (770 Newton-meters) at 5,500 rpm. But it seems that these power figures were seriously underrated, as shown by some new dyno numbers, as reported by DynoBoost.
Of course, while an engine has the capability to deliver the published power figures, a certain percentage of power is lost as it is sent from the engine to the drivetrain. For supercars like the McLaren 720S, it is generally accepted that around 15 percent of engine power is lost. This means that if a supercar is capable of delivering 1,000 hp, around 150 hp is lost through the drivetrain. As a result, only 850 hp is actually realized by the supercar.
Applying this 15-percent power loss rule on the McLaren 720S, the British supercar should be delivering around 603 hp of power output and 456 lb.-ft. of torque. But what makes people even more excited is when the car is a limited edition, or better yet, a one-off production ready concept car. In this case, a 2006 Lamborghini Concept S. A lot of you might think that you have seen this car somewhere, and that is because it is a roofless Gallardo. No, it is not a Spyder if that is what you are thinking, because Spyders have a retractable roof and a windshield.
We first witnessed the 2006 Lamborghini Concept S back in 2005 as a design study. This was done to pay homage to the vintage single-seat, open cockpit race cars during the time Lamborghini was better known for its tractors. But unlike others that had individual cockpits for the driver and the passenger, the Concept S added an extra air inlet for the V10 engine. Both the front and the rear had aerodynamic tweaks that would give the car better downforce.
Initially, it did not matter since the concept did not have an engine, but then Lamborghini built an actual example with an engine. One hundred examples of the Concept S were supposed to be build, and these were supposed to be offered to loyal Lamborghini customers. The car’s exterior has a beautiful bluish-grey matte finish they call Grigio Acheso, combined with matte orange lines all over the body. The roof is made with glossy carbon, paired with a matte black exhaust system, and black multi-spoke wheels with bright orange brake calipers.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find a two-tone cabin in black Alcantara with orange accents, to match the exterior design. The colours extend from steering wheel, all the way to the seats. McLaren had just built a new 720S, but this time, it is made out of plastic. Why? That is because it is made with Lego bricks, and what’s even more impressive is that they built a life size model of the 720S. The 1:1 model scale is currently displayed at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed. To finish this model, they needed a total of 267,300 Lego pieces, with the help of six people who spent 2,000 hours building it.
This is not the first time we have seen cars being replicated with Lego bricks. In fact, Lego has some pretty cool automotive kits from the simple Speed Champions line to the giant Porsche 911 GT3 RS. But here is the thing with the McLaren 720S, it’s so huge it isn’t even finished yet.
Therefore, McLaren is asking the general public to help them finish it at the Festival of Speed so the supercar can finally be completed. Take note that there is still a long way to go as the company will bring in 12,700 orange bricks to the event in order to complete the construction. British luxury automaker Aston Martin celebrates its new partnership with the Henley Royal Regatta sporting event by designing a one-off DB11 sports car that they recently revealed. The car explores exclusive paint and upholstery colours, and premium craft elements.
Aston Martin recently launched the “Q by Aston”, which is the company’s personalization service at the Gaydon design studio. This was where they crafted the special edition Henley Regatta sports car, where they made use of the new options that were being offered by the new range.

After Rolls-Royce unveiled the Sweptail at the 2017 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, X-Tomi Design now reimagines the most expensive car ever built as a convertible. Yes, it’s the same controversial Rolls-Royce with a price tag of $13 million commissioned by a special client!
Having been inspired by the yachts and swept tail models between the 1920s and 1930s, the client requested Rolls-Royce to make a car with surfaces similar to the hull of a yacht.
As for Xtomi’s latest interpretation, the Sweptail convertible nearly has all the footings of a Phantom Drophead Coupe. Albeit the fact that the coachbuilder has already rolled out its “Last of Last” edition in Saudi Arabia just the previous month. To best describe the Sweptail, the coupe’s massive bodywork with exceptionally designed boat tail comes with panoramic glass roof and extravagant interior that can only seat two people. Behold, the Rolls-Royce Sweptail! The Sweptail is probably the biggest two-seater car that has ever been built. It may look odd at first glance, and you may not be fond of its design, especially the front end of the car, but it’s true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This specific model was exclusively built for a “Rolls-Royce connoisseur” so it you aren’t one, then this car won’t probably be attractive to you.
We don’t know the identity of the person who made this car possible, but without a doubt he is powerful enough to have Rolls-Royce build him a single car with his own design in mind, and that he has at least nine zeros in his bank account. Though the company did not reveal who the individual was, we know that it is a guy because that’s what they said in the press release. He was described as a “connoisseur and collector of distinctive, one-off items including super-yachts and private aircraft”.
The buyer went up to the company and asked them to build a car that was inspired by the 1920s and 1930s Rolls-Royce, which explains the extravagant shape reminding us of a vintage Rolls-Royce Boat Tail speedster. The individual had worked with the company for years on the design of the car, turning the ride into a two-seater with a wood mid-shelf replacing the back seats that feature an illuminated glass lip. There is also a polished wood hat shelf with luggage rails covered by a teardrop-shaped glass roof, giving a bright and airy cockpit. On the front and rear ends, are polished “08” badges. According to the dealership group, it commissioned the Rolls-Royce Dawn Mayfair Edition to celebrate 85 years of expertise in “creating uniquely desirable motor cars.”
This very exclusive model is a drophead coupe named after the Mayfair area in the heart of Berkeley Square, the location of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London. Founded by Harold Rolfe Owen, H.R. Following in the footsteps of the McLaren 570S, 540C and 570GT is the newest addition to the McLaren Sports Series -- the roofless 570S Spider. McLaren 570S was rolled out in coupe form 2 years ago, and we have been waiting for a convertible Spider version ever since. Now our fantasy can be a reality, as McLaren Automotive head honcho Mike Flewitt addressed the rumors and finally confirmed that the 570S Spider will be released possibly this year.
Flewitt is still silent about the further specs of the 570S Spider, however the up-and-coming sports car convertible will be built based on the Spider versions 650 and 675LT, which have been fitted with a folding hardtop.
The new 570S Spider will be equipped with a biturbo 3.8 L V8 engine, akin to its fixed-roof equivalent. When an auto manufacturer converts a coupe into a convertible, we can't help but think about the extra weight and lessened rigidity. After months and months of teasers, and its official debut at last month’s auto show held in Geneva, McLaren is proud to announce that the 720S has finally reached its most awaited production stage. In fact, the first ever car has already been built at the supercar maker’s production center in Woking, England.
The McLaren 720S is the second generation of the company’s “Super Series” cars. Being the successor of the former 650S, we expect a lot from this car. And it definitely lived up to that expectation. The 720S makes use of the all-new P14 chassis. Meaning that this is the beginning of a new chapter for McLaren, and the end of the first generation P11 series that was unveiled way back in 2009 in the 12C model, and produced in 2011. In fact, the 2014 650S model was part of the first generation, and according to the company, over 7,000 P11 cars have been sold since it was released.

It’s finally confirmed to be coming! The newest addition to the miniature range is none other than McLaren’s hottest new supercar --- the 720S. Lego earlier introduced the McLaren P1 package along with Ford’s GT40 and GT models. For some time, we’ve always wondered what else would come out from Lego’s Speed Champions series.
Lego’s latest Speed Champions set will be available starting June. The Lego McLaren 720S building kit consists of a drawing board with the original design sketch and a 3D-printed model. Furthermore, the McLaren design studio desk comes with its own coffee cup and mini figure.
