Mercedes-AMG’s GT 4-door Coupe models now have a new member, in the guise of the AMG GT 43 4MATIC+. This new model is AMG’s newest entry-level offering, with a price that is nearly EUR14,000 lower than the AMG GT 53 4MATIC+ that the high-performance division introduced in March this year.
Both the AMG GT 53 4MATIC+ coupe, the all-new AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ are powered by a dynamic core: a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line engine with EQ Boost that serves as a starter and an alternator. Nonetheless, the six-cylinder in-line engine sitting under the hood of the entry-level AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ is less powerful than the mill in the AMG GT 53 4MATIC+.
The 3.0-liter 6-cylinder in-line engine serving the AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ is tuned to deliver up to 270 kW (367 hp) of output and up to 500 Nm of torque available between 1,000 rpm and 4,500 rpm. This power level allows the AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ to sprint from nil to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 270 km/h. The AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ consumes between 9.1 liter and 9.4 liters of fuel per 100 km (combined) and emits between 209 grams and 215 grams of carbon dioxide per km (combined), enough to comply with Euro 6d-TEMP.Read the entire article 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ is the newest entry-level GT 4-door coupe
After the unveiling of the Mercedes-AMG GT R in the midyear of 2016, the German automaker is at last revealing this exclusive green beast priced at $157,995. They will roll out this summer, and Mercedes-AMG announced that it will only produce 2,000 units worldwide. Those who are willing to dish out this amount of money must move quickly before these mean machines will be sold out.
The 3rd of kin and the most impressive member of the AMG GT clan boasts of pure power and decreased weight for dynamic performances. It is worth the wait after all, since the expert engineers from Affalterbach have managed to take off some load from the sports car and at the same time squeezed more power from the biturbo 4.0 L V8 engine to make the Coupe a worthy adversary in its league. The biturbo V8 can produce a whopping 577 hP (430 kW) and 516 lb-feet (700 Newton-meters) of torque, delivering 74 hp abd 37 lb-ft more compared to the S model.
A 7-speed dual clutch gearbox delivers the torque directly to the rear axle. Its first gear currently has a longer ratio, and the 7th gear has a shortened one to empower a far more better acceleration. The German automaker remarked that the GT R Coupe can accelerate up to 60 miles/hour (97 km/hour) in only 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of up to 198 mph(319 kph), which is 0.2 second more quicker that its S version predecessor . Weight-wise, the new AMG GT R weighs at around 3,428 lbs (1,554 kg)- which makes it lighter than the S version (90 kg less).Read the entire article 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT R rolls out this summer in US, see final pricing details here

It was only around three ago when Mercedes-AMG unveiled the AMG GT R Coupe. Now at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, AMG chopped the roof the AMG GT R Coupe and made some necessary revisions. This resulted to the birth of a new AMG GT R model from Mercedes-Benz – the new Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster.
When the AMG GT R Roadster arrives, the AMG GT family will have 16 members that include five two-door coupes, four roadsters, two customer sports racing cars and five 4-door coupes. But AMG isn't planning to build many as only 750 units are intended to be produced.
Of course, the main difference between the AMG GT R Coupe and AMG GT R Roadster is that the latter has no fixed roof, allowing its occupants to enjoy the thrill of open-air ride. But should they need some protection from the elements, the AMG GT R Roadster is provided with a three-layered fabric soft top. Featuring an inserted acoustic mat that can reduce noise, this soft top is supported by a structure of low weight – thanks to materials such as magnesium, steel and aluminum – which basically help give the AMG GT R Roadster a low center of gravity.Read the entire article Mercedes-AMG GT R takes its roof away as a Roadster at 2019 Geneva Motor Show
The new Audi TT RS – yes, the top version of the German carmaker’s facelifted TT model series – is now officially here. If you could remember, the range-topping TT RS Coupe and Roadster were visually absent when Audi unveiled the facelifted TT model series in July 2018. That got some worried, so Audi is allaying those worries.
As introduced by the brand with the Four Rings, the latest iteration of the Audi TT RS Coupe and Roadster boasts of completely redrawn front end. However, most of us won't be able to distinguish the newest TT RS models from their predecessors right away. It would take discerning eyes – especially those of Audi TT RS fans and enthusiasts – to know how the latest iterations differ visually from the previous model.
For instance, the lateral air intakes on the front bumper are now larger, each divided by vertical strips. In addition, the quattro logo -- in matt titanium-look – is located in the lower part of the gloss black grille that is surrounded by matt black Singleframe. The grille is flanked by LED headlights as standard, or by optional matrix LED units.Read the entire article Facelifted Audi TT RS Coupe and Roadster now available to order

The ATS GT Launch Edition takes inspiration from the 1964 ATS 2500 GT, a small coupe designed by Franco Scaglione, developed by ATS co-founders Giotto Bizzarrini and Carlo Chiti, and built more than 50 years ago. The only hybrids that automotive customers can get now from Porsche are its Panamera four-door saloon and its Cayenne sports utility vehicle. While the German sports car maker has confirmed that it would build a hybrid version of the Porsche 911 sports car, that won't happen in the near term. For those who can’t wait for Porsche to offer a 911 hybrid, Vonnen Performance is offering to convert your sports car into one.
Porsche’s main reason for not offering a hybrid version of the 911 is that the German company still doesn’t believe that the current battery technology is on par with its expectations for its venerated sports car. But with the rapid pace that the battery technology is growing, that could happen in the next few years. Porsche chief executive Oliver Blume had said that a 911 hybrid may arrive on the mid-cycle refresh of the 992 generation, which should happen by around 2022 or so.
Because Porsche won't do a 911 hybrid now, Vonnen Performance is offering to do so for 911 models built between 2012 and 2016. This also applies for other Porsche offerings currently not having a hybrid version, like the Boxster and the Cayman. The conversion kit and the entire setup would cost a Porsche owner around $75,000.Read the entire article Vonnen Performance is offering to convert Porsche 911 into a hybrid sports car for $75,000
In terms of performance, the Mercedes-AMG GT – whether in its base or R version -- already packs a good punch. Nonetheless, several tuning companies have already created their own version of the AMG GT, and they all managed to create a greater monster out of the "Beast of the Green Hell." Now, it is the turn of Fostla, a tuning firm from Germany, to show off its own formula of steroids for the AMG GT.
First off, Fostla saw it fit to make the AMG GT look meaner on the road. This entails the fitment of a number of aftermarket parts and components. While these aftermarket parts and components should make the AMG GT become visually more appealing and more dynamic, they should give these beast an aerodynamic advantage.
To achieve this, Fostla saw it suitable to install a widebody kit, which aftermarket package was provided by Prior Design. This widebody kit gave the AMG GT wider hips as well as a rear wing. Prior Design’s aftermarket package likewise includes a number of aerodynamic elements like front and rear flicks as well as a meaner rear diffuser. Up front, the stock front grille of the AMG GT was replaced with a blacked-out configuration evoking the Panamericana grille.Read the entire article This Mercedes-AMG GT tuned by Fostla is a green monster on the road

Finally, someone thought and succeeded in reviving back to life one of the legends of rallying -- the Lancia Delta Integrale. This comes months after another rallying icon – the Lancia Stratos -- was resurrected by Manifattura Automobili Torino from the skeletons of a Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Now, Automobili Amos is introducing the heavily reworked Lancia Delta Futurista.
The Lancia Delta Futurista is derived from a 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale. Eugenio Amos and his company Automobili Amos embarked on a project to create a car that is “pure, analogic, raw, and essential,” in contrast to today’s vehicles that heavily employ computer.
Amos’ pet project employs the chassis of the 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale as the base. From there, the company worked to make the Delta Futurista stay faithful Lancia heritage in terms of overall. While keeping in line with Lancia’s iconic looks, the Delta Futurista has nearly everything updated. Amos called Delta Futurista as his “romantic vision,” as he has been in deep adoration with the original model since he was just seven years old.Read the entire article Automobili Amos Delta Futurista is a reborn Lancia Delta Integrale with heavy modifications
