Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG Typhoon by Hamann

The German tuning specialist Hamann has recently removed the wraps off of its latest creation, the new Typhoon which was based on the Mercedes G55 AMG.

The Hamann Typhoon comes with 600hp (441kW) and 782 Nm (576lb-ft) of top torque provided by a high performing HM600 power package that consists of new powerplant electronics, a larger belt pulley set and a modified transmission with an integrated oil cooler.

These figures produces an acceleration rate of 0-100km/h (62mph) in just 5.1 seconds and on to reach a maximum speed of 261km/h (162mph). Furthermore, other modifications include carbon fiber mirrors, door handles, fender vents and a large front grill.

Brabus G V12 S Biturbo Widestar based on Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG

Brabus didn't hold back at all when it decided it wanted to be taken seriously at the Geneva Motor Show. The German tuning firm's display of severely modified vehicles had visitors taking more than a second glance. One of those that got the most attention is the Brabus G V12 S Biturbo Widestar off-roader, which made its world debut at the show.

This car is based on the Mercedes G-Klasse and is priced from 394,900 euros. Powering this car is a twin-turbo twelve-cylinder Brabus SV12 S engine with 700 hp / 515 kW at 5,100 rpm and with a peak torque f 1,320 Nm (973 lb-ft) at 2,100 rpm.

Brabus claims that top speed is rated at 365.7 km/h (227.2 mph), but it is limited electronically to 240 km/h (150 mph). The SUV is mated to a special five-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive, enabling the car to sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 4.3 seconds.

Brabus G V12 S Biturbo: the world’s most powerful off-roader

Brabus, the well-known tuner specialized in Mercedes-Benz vehicles unveiled today the world's most powerful off-roader: the Brabus G V12 S Biturbo! As the name says it, the vehicle is based on the Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG but powered by the engine from the the latest Mercedes S600.

Before the installation on the vehicle, the tuning company displacement of the three-valve engine is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters (336 to 384 cubic inches) using a special crankshaft with longer stroke, larger cylinders and larger bore.

Also the engine peripherals were upgraded with larger turbochargers, new intercooling system and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts.

Mansory G-Couture based on Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG

Whenever Mansory is mentioned, it never fails to capture the interest of true car fans. The German tuning firm has been on the news repeatedly for its unique creations, and this time, it has outdone itself with its release of the state-of-the-art G-Couture. This model, which was designed with fashion designer Philipp Plein, will be limited to seven units.

Pricing has not yet been disclosed but it probably won't be a good idea to set your sights on owning one since it's likely to be priced way beyond most people's budget.

Like all Mansory cars, the G-Couture's exterior is stylish and luxurious. Carbon is used in its entire exterior up to the lower window edge and the roof of the SUV, contributing to the overall performance of the car.

The Mercedes-Benz G55K AMG-based A.R.T. G Streetline was recently unveiled at the Dubai Motor Show. It follows the A.R.T. AS55K YAAS EDITION, a one-off vehicle created for the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi. Its modifications are revealed to be extensive and to affect every aspect of the vehicle.

For the exterior, the car has a wide body kit with a new front bumper, new bonnet, a double beam xenon headlight set with LED daytime running lights and indicators, a running board with LED lights, fender extensions, rear LED lights and a roof spoiler, which also has LEDs.

A special chassis was fitted on the SUV that goes with the 22-inch light alloy wheels and 305/35R22 Pirelli Scorpio Assimetrico tires.

The goal: to fit the standard version of the vehicle with HAMANN Motorsport accessories that can provide additional performance for the G55.

For this project, HAMANN’s expertise in building customizing automobiles according to individual preferences since 1986 comes into play. With this project, HAMANN-Motorsport pays tribute to the original all-terrain vehicle that became a flagship for the series. The G55 Supercharged bears much of the expertise in its exteriors.

First, one can recognize the distinctive throaty sound of the G55’s engine through the stainless steel exhaust system at the rear. HAMANN also had some work done on the G55’s aerodynamic profile, with the goal of enhancing it even further for better performance.

A new exclusive package is offered by Vath Automobiltechnik, updating the Mercedes-Benz G55 AMGs' looks and performance. The German-based aftermarket specialist gave the Vath G55 a new, sleeker and unique exterior styling and it also got a power upgrade. After Vath's revisions, SUV is now able to deliver 680hp, which is 173hp than the basic model.

From its 5.5 liter V8 engine, the car now has 840 Nm (619 lb-ft) after Vath retrofitted the engine with a special intake manifold, complete outlet unit, coolers, as well as patented Vath fuel cooler. With these changes, the G55 is able to hit a top speed of 265 km/h (165 mph).

When it comes to styling, the G55 has an extensively modified front-end section, which features a restyled bonnet, a front spoiler with large air intakes, LED daytime running lamps and Xenon headlights.
