2013 Mercedes-Benz ML 500 4MATIC

The third generation of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class made a lasting impact on the SUV segment, similar to what its predecessors had done. This model was launched in September 2011. The added V8 petrol version is now part of the range in the shape of the ML 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY. This equipment package is improved further with new safety features like COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST (CPA).

Order books opened on June 22 for the new ML 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY, which will start to arrive at dealerships in autumn 2012. The new ML 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY is powered by a turbocharged BlueDIRECT V8 direct injection petrol engine and provides excellent performance together with the highest level of efficiency.

The new model has better fuel consumption figures than its predecessor by as much as 16%. At the same time, its performance is better. The V8 engine’s output is increased from a considerably smaller displacement (4663 instead of 5461 cc).

The tuners from VATH Automobiltechnik have set their sights on the ML 63 AMG and have given the car even more power. The vehicle, which is being built on the ML 63 AMG base, is capable of up to 300 km/h. This high-performance SUV was given a VATH 6.3 liters 585 HP engine with an amazing 690 Nm.

For desired serviceability, the car has had many of its engine parts substituted. The engine has enlarged countersunk channels leading to the cylinder head.

Mercedes-Benz unveils the ML63 AMG Performance Studio

Corresponding to its "metallic Peridot Brown" exterior paintwork, the ML 63 AMG "Performance Studio" features large 21 inch high-brilliance AMG light alloy wheels with a double spoke design, with matching color as the vehicle. Wide-base 295/35 R 21 tires guarantees the required road surface contact. The high-shine chrome trim on the upper body edges at window level is another head-turning detail.

Mercedes-Benz unveiled today the updated version of the ML63 AMG. What are the changes you ask? If you look at the pictures you will see a new bonnet with power domes, darkened bi-xenon headlamps with active light function, a new rear with darkened tail lamps incorporating a clear-lens design and LED technology as well as chromed front and rear underguard.

Under the hood we find the impressive AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine (found also on the current model) capable to deliver 510 hp (375 kW) and 630 Nm of torque.

With this engine the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The engine is mated to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with three drive modes.

Brabus has unwrapped the ML 63 Biturbo at the Geneva Motor Show this week. It is derived from the Mercedes-Benz AMG ML 63 and it receives 478kW (650hp), and 850Nm of torque assisting the SUV to reach a maximum speed of 310km/h (192mph).

Compared to the Brabus Widestar, it comes with 100hp more and can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds, about 0.7 seconds faster than the Widestar and it comes with a maximum speed that is 35km/h faster.

These potent figures come from a 6.3-liter V8 powerplant, with a dual left-turning turbos installed on the right side. It consequently maximizes performance without compromising air flow. The latest SUV comes with a different 23-inch alloy wheels and a monotone interior finish with Alcantara, carbon fiber and leather.
